Muslim students in Florida indicted on explosives charges

CAIR will have a statement as soon as Ahmed Bedier finds out what he's allowed to say. Goose Creek Jihad Update: "Fla. students face explosives indictment," by Lara Jakes Jordan for Associated Press (thanks to all who sent this in):

WASHINGTON - Two Egyptian students at the University of South Florida were indicted Friday for carrying explosive materials across states lines and one of them was charged with teaching the other how to use them for violent reasons.

Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, an engineering graduate student and teaching assistant at the Tampa-based university, faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.

He and Youssef Samir Megahed, 21, an engineering student, were stopped for speeding in Goose Creek, S.C., on Aug. 4, where they have been held on state charges.

It was a routine driving infraction that nailed these bastards.

So how many muhammadans with murderous intent are now driving FREELY in the towns and cities of the USA?

1?
100?
1000?
10,000?

You think there are a bunch now, wait until this weekend when they open the roads to Mexican trucks.

Happy Labor Day America!

The Feds are requesting DNA samples from these two (reference above link). Why don't they just move them to a new cell and collect the DNA from their cell like CSI? Isn't a jail cell the property of the state? Why would the defendants have any rights to their bodily fluids/hair etc. that is surely on the cell floor and bedding?

Must've been some kick-ass fireworks in that trunk.

Islam: handle with CAIR.

I am sure they are just misunderstood followers of peaceful Islam. God almighty am I weary of these assholes! Enough of their constant rage, demands, threats, and cowardly acts.

I feel as if there are just a few of us who truly "see" the threat and everyone else is busy looking at Britney's arse.

I thought the INS was getting tough on student Visas? Does anything ever change?
Wasn't it USF that had a muslum terrorist professor employed for several years before he was exposed?
How much more of this crap do we have to put up with? Why don't we expose them BEFORE they get into our country? Better yet, why don't we stop all legal immigration until we fix our boarders?

Will they be deported? will they be released OTR? will they be monitored?

I can't help but think that its only a matter of time before another 9-11 occurs.

When it does, Allah is going to be real busy.

Deport them to Egypt.

The cell with the hanging chain cuffs is eagerly awaiting them.

They then will have to concentrate on the engineering problems of how to get the gruel from the door slot to their "holy" lips.

If anyone would like to read some of Bedier's comments about his participation in the grand jury, there is an article in the Tampa Tribune:
http://www2.tbo.com/content/2007/aug/30/bedier-discusses-his-grand-jury-appearance/?news-breaking

More about the indictment can be found here:
http://www2.tbo.com/content/2007/aug/31/usf-student-indicted-bomb-investigation/?news-breaking

I'm following this story closely since I graduated from USF and live in the Tampa Bay area.

I include these links for anyone else with a keen interest in seeing what the Tampa media is reporting.

I just want to make a point … again. The assertion that I've read over and over again is that, since they were stopped and arrested a few miles from a Navy base, that must have been their target.

What?

That's dangerous speculation. The Navy base would have been a hard target. It is far more likely they had soft targets in mind. Soft targets are malls, schools, churches, county fairs, rock concerts, football games, buses.

If you believe the misbegotten notion that you're safe just because there are no military installations near you or you don't live in NYC or Washington DC, then, sorry, but you're fooling yourself.

Stay awake out there, people.

this my first comment.
when oh when are we non muslims going to wake up to the danger of political correctness?
these muslim bastards are using our tolerance to undermine our society.
its time for us to stand up and be counted!
do we stand by and let our society be destroyed or do we fight?
all people of all faiths are welcome if they truly integrate into our way of life-but these evil sods who want to turn our country into a middle eastern shit hole are not welcome.
time to sit back and consider the alternatives:
do nothing and become a sharia run, alcohol free, music free, culture free, woman oppressed barking mad society or take the war to these evil muslims.
make no mistake, these people want to destroy all western democracies.
you have been warned.

Reporting from Tampa ("Bay") Florida, I now wonder whether CAIR spokesMuslim, Mr. Ahemd Bedier, will apologize for what he said in a local paper (I can't recall whether it was the pro-oil, pro-Islam Tampa Tribune or the pro-oil, full-blown dhimmi St. Petersburg Times):

This would have never happened to them if they were white.

Mr. Bedier and his co-horts at CAIR, Hamas, NOI, KinderUSA, Hezbollah, MSA, WISE, SISTUHS, and whatever new organization they dream up this week are asked to please send hate mail to fanorollins@yahoo.com

KJ, the liberal Zionist

Florida

PS... if anyone sees a Muslims-only footwasher in a public restroom be sure to spit in it. Try to make it green.

Posted by: kj [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 31, 2007 5:38 PM

Shortly after the arrest of the two students, Mr. Bedier quickly stepped forward and made some pretty strong statements, alleging racism, as noted by kj, the previous poster.

Now, Bedier seems to be changing his tune, at least when speaking to the media (which is all we know about). In his most recent statements to the local media, he seems much more "supportive" of law enforcement, saying:

"As far as you know in this day and age, we don't have a choice but support thorough investigation, and it seems like that's what's happening in this situation," he said. "People are not taking any chances in the environment were living in, and who can blame them? The evidence will lead to the truth."

Bedier said the U.S. Attorney's Office has been "very professional" and is "not cutting corners" in the judicial system.

This is quite a change from the cries of racism and islamophobia made just a few weeks ago.

Is this a change in PR strategy? Is it a final realization of the truth? Damage control?

I just watched Ahmed Bedier make a statement on the local (Tampa)Fox news station.

Once again he is "expecting a backlash against Muslims" and said that CAIR is "already receiving hate-mail." He warns area Muslims to be watchful over their children, etc.

It would seem to me that given the nature of the organization, CAIR probably receives a steady barrage of hate-mail. Of course, any communication to CAIR from non-muslims is probably considered hate-mail to them, since anything anyone says about Islam or Mohammed or Muslims is considered "hate speech."

No matter which way this case against the students goes, CAIR will be sure that muslims emerge as the "victims."

If we put these guys in prison, will it offend Muslims everywhere?

Posted by: tanstaafl [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2007 1:39 PM

CAIR has lost its credibility to speak honestly for any legitimate cause.

That should be its new catchphrase.
