More rewards for evil. "Afghanistan: Kabul taking steps to talk with Taliban, says ex-president," from AKI (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):
Peshawar, 3 Sept. (AKI/DAWN) - The former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani has said that the Afghan government has taken measures to engage the Taliban in dialogue to try and restore peace in the country.“Without the participation of Taliban and [Afghan warlord] Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, peace cannot be established in the war-ravaged country,” said Rabbani who was president of Afghanistan from 1992-96.
Rabbani was speaking at a one-day seminar entitled “Pak-Afghan Relations” in the northern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Sunday.
“Talks are a better way to resolve problems than guns. Wars make problems worse instead of resolving them. We have to adopt the path of talks,” he said.

So the fool that lost to the Taliban the first time around, now thinks he can now negotiate his way to a N.A.T.O. defeat?
What exactly is his governmental position? From my brief research he has no governmental authority at this time.
This is like the X-PM Chamberlain negotiating with the Third Reich after the Christmas Battle of the Bulge, claiming there will be no peace unless we compromise with the Militant Nazis.
Why don’t we just have the Uncovered Meat Mutfi of Australia open up surrender talks instead? His positions would be just about as useful.

'Talk peace' with the Taliban is merely another form of 'surrender'. Don't talk to them. Kill them, starting at the top.
They never understand the terms 'truce' or 'peace' so do what needs to be done, until it is done.

Wheres the suprize there, not one country has taken the islamic or taliban threats seriously. We are inching closer to the outcome. Americans wouid be wise to prepare while you still can.

Karzai may be a whore - but he is no fool. He sees clearly how Musharraf has personally benefited from playing both sides of the terror game.
And why not? The Americans will probably give him even more now that he has made public the overture to the terrorists - instead of a bullet in the forehead.

Look, the US/NATO doesn't want to spend the rest of this century hunting down every goat herder who gets his cookie by grabbing an AK and screaming Allah Akbar. It's just not practical. On the other hand, the Taliban (plus their friends in the Pak ISI, which created them) know they can't achieve victory, only pain for the Afganis. So, time to play let's make a deal.
We can assume that there is support for this from Washington, as they haven't made outraged noises about the idea. If the Taliban will make nice and play along for a while, why not? Are they any worse than most of the Pakistan and Saudi leadership?
If you want to make analogies with Nazis, go ahead. But first look up the life story of Werner von Braun, who developed the V2 rockets for Hitler to bomb civilians in England - a clear terror and non-military tactic - who later showed up as head of NASA - an American hero!
By the way, von Braun wrote a sugary autobiography called, "I Aimed for the Stars" which was a white wash of his life; one contemporary comedian said the title should have been "I Aimed for the Stars...but Hit London."

ReligionofPeas-
LOL
Mort Sahl's sharp quip about Von Braun: "...but sometimes I Hit London".
Nazis should have been hung, not enthroned.
We had the father of modern rocketry in the U.S. (Goddard), and only needed to emphasize our own talent, not pimp for "rehabilitated" major terrorists.
The same should apply now.
Would Khalil Shiek Mohammad get a free pass and a cushy government job it he could help us in some short term plan?
Hang 'em.
We have the smarts to save our own assets.

One thing that is not being noted with this story of Von Braun is the simple fact that the Nazis were emphatically crushed first.
CRUSH THE TALIBAN!!
Then we can talk about negotiate with the left over individuals wither it’s the gallows for War Crimes (using 6 year homicide Bombers fits this mark) or rehabilitation under the watchful eye of the Republic of Afghanistan.
(Please let us not argue about if it’s a Theological Republic, Islamic Republic. Let’s just accept the fact it’s currently not the nascent seed for the a new aggressive Caliphate with Nukes and Islamic “Smart” Bombs (AKA Homicide Bombers))

How does one negotiate with an animal? Offer it meat? There is no negotiating with something that wants to kill you. You kill it before it kills you. Their animalistic intentions have been made clear and our response should be appropriate to that threat. I don't negotiate with the bear that charges me. I kill it.

Von Braun was an intellectual genius, absolutely no comparison whatsoever with the goat herder caravan raiders murderers of Afghanistan. Talk to them if you wish, but it's your head on a platter for believing anything these neanderthals say. Kill these subhuman slaves of allah until there are none.

Peace could be obtained if the warlords and savages were killed in a very UN-PC way....
When we start realizing that we are in a War and not a playground this could be over quickly, Russia and China have the right idea when it comes to dealing with terrorists or hostage takers. maybe it's time we act in a manor that would facilitate an end to this crap.
If we acted like we are now in WW2 we would all be speaking Japanese or German, thank god America had some nuts back then.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AT OTHER WEBSITES
The U.S. Senate Project (an initiative to increase congressional awareness of the nature and goals of jihad) currently has 74 volunteers in 36 states.
WE ARE STILL SEEKING ADDITIONAL CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FROM ALL 50 STATES, ESPECIALLY THE FOLLOWING 14:
Connecticut
Delaware
Hawaii
Kansas
Louisiana
Mississippi
Montana
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Utah
Vermont
West Virginia
Wyoming
The Project: We're looking for people in every state of the Union who would be willing to purchase, from Amazon or any other source, a copy of Robert Spencer's Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn't and mail it, on an agreed upon date, to one of the senators in your state. We want to get the book simultaneously to all 100 senators, in order to send a strong message. If we get more than two people per state, books can also be sent to the U.S. House of Representatives.
If you’d like to be involved, please write to me at traehnam@yahoo.com under the subject heading “Senate,” and tell me the state your senator represents, an email address where I can reach you, and a nickname. No need for your real name. And I will never share your email address with anyone, not even with other volunteers for this project.
And visit www.jihadawareness.blogspot.com to get more info on this project and to leave comments other volunteers can read. You can also see there the growing list of participants in this project, and the states their senators represent. I've also designed a graphic that might amuse. Scroll down when you get to the site.
Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.
Right before each of us mails the book, we can issue a press release to various media outlets in every state, and in that way announce and explain the mailing. And perhaps we can come up with some other ways of maximizing the effectiveness of this project and gaining as much positive attention as possible.
Congress is in recess until after Labor Day. But one of the project's volunteers suggested contacting Rep. Sue Myrick, who started the Anti-Jihad Caucus in Congress. I'll try to coordinate this project with Rep. Myrick to maximize its effectiveness. I've also been calling various congressional offices to get advice on how best to go about the project.

I have never been an isolationist, either. But I am starting to wonder what the US needs with the rest of the world. This country, my neighborhood, both are being flooded with people who are here to take, not assimilate. Their countries are rotten, and now they're here to make mine rotten. The schools have to be bi-lingual, celebrate ramadan, have police there--this country is really slipping.
And now we need to have dialogue with terrorists? The only dialogue I'd agree with is this: invite them all to the UN, lock the door, and turn on the gas.

Mushi & Karzai, both in the same camp when it comes to screwing the infidels out of the jiziyah...
Wouldn't surprise me if both (along with their extended family clan's) end up in the US after the Islamic troglodytes take over in their respective countries and they have to make a run for it...

I heard that if we destroyed (pick a method, napalm?) the bright red poppy crops which are the financial income for the taliban, we would cripple them. Frank Zappa,God rest his soul, suggested using 'pork grenades' against these people. Is there some reason the simple and obvious ideas are not used? Perhaps the will of our government is NOT to defeat our enemies. Can the government be prosecuted for TREASON against the people? Come on now, simpleness is usually good. Let's try some of the simple ideas. When the poppies are in bloom they are an easy target. Wipe out the poppy fields and let loose a bunch of pigs throughout the muslim world. Arm our soldiers also with water guns full of pig piss.

Karzai probably just wants to remind the rich Taliban, what Mohammad said about splitting the loot. Four fifths for me and one fifth for you, or something like that...Loot is a hot commodity in Islam, it's good and it's lawful...

you do not negotiate with a rabid dog-you kill it.
if you have to throw it a bone to entice it near enough for you to do so-then so be it.
how and where you throw the bone is the difficult part -but its possible-just let our airforce know where and when and i'm sure we can take care of business.

A shotgun works a lot faster on rabid dogs, but...ok, air force works, too...lol

When I was in college, I took a philosophy course where the professor started bashing religion especially christiany. I challenged him with the idea that , if it makes people feel good and live properly, what's the probably. We went back and forth for a while. After the class, he told me that he would give me a passing grade if a didn't come back.
