Germany searching for 10 additional suspects

A whole lotta converts misunderstanding their religion. "Germany searching for 10 terror suspects," by Melissa Eddy for the Associated Press:

BERLIN - German authorities were searching Thursday for about 10 suspected supporters of an Islamic group linked to al-Qaida believed to have assisted three militants arrested for plotting imminent attacks against Americans in Germany, an official said.
Authorities believed "some 10" further suspects provided support to the two German converts and a Turkish citizen who were arrested Tuesday, August Hanning, a top security official, told the ARD broadcaster.
"This is the network that we are aware of at the moment," Hanning said, adding that authorities believe the splintered cell — which includes more converted Germans, Turks and other citizens — no longer poses a direct security threat.
The three arrested suspects had military-style detonators and enough material to make bombs more powerful than those that killed 191 people in Madrid in 2004 and 52 commuters in London two years ago, prosecutors said Wednesday.
"We were able to succeed in recognizing and preventing the most serious and massive bombings," German Federal Prosecutor Monika Harms said at a news conference Wednesday. She declined to name specific targets.

"Aufviedezen, we will meet somewhere dont know when,

"We'll meet again someday."

Ah, the past the past.

Sometimes it's good to face up to it.

Simple; so ya dont have to repeat the same stupid mistakes.

So, how does one deal with the sons of Husseini ?

Here there is no dispute as to how Islam and Christianity differ, and the relativism breaks down: new converts to Islam are radicalized fairly easily. So many are quite willing to strap on a dynamite vest or break the law as an article of faith.

Christian converts of the most zealous sort typically manifest their fervor by evangelizing: usually preaching to those of the same background (prisoners, ghetto-dwellers, members of a different faith) and are willing to face danger to do so. The supposed "Christian terrorists" (McVeigh, Rudolph) were not converts to the faith, McVeigh declaring himself agnostic, and Rudolph saying he prefers Nietzsche to the Bible.

These people have been disavowed by mainstream Christian unequivocally. Christians by and large oppose abortion. Their disavowals of Rudolph were not bare reassertions of this opposition. Christian disavowals of McVeigh didn't assert anything, since the motives were not Christian in nature.

10 more, why not 10,000 or 10,000,000. Soon it will happen that way, just a matter of time.

These German converts to Islam are no different from the Lindhs, Hicks, Richard-Reid variety. Psychicaly marginal, incapable of dealing with life, they are the same stuff of which neo-Nazis and skinheads are made -- it's just that they chose Islam as their justificatory ideology, their Total System of choice.

Sorry for going off topic but....

Glenn Beck is doing a weekly thing next week on "the perfect day", anyone know what that is??

Sounds interesting but he gave no hints other than many simultaneous attacks. I googled to no avail.

UK link to German terroists.

Several calls to British numbers are said to been made from mobile telephones linked to two of the men being questioned in Germany. One is said to have been a "known" number.

Prosecutors and police painted a picture of a ruthless cell of Al-Qaeda-linked fanatics, willing to die in suicide attacks with bombs more powerful than those used in the July 7 attacks in London in 2005.

Borg,
Did you read the comments? People in Britain and Germany are already calling it a false flag operation, saying the timing of the arrests is too convenient. Some people refuse to be convinced:

I don´t believe a word of it! Schäuble has had a hard time pushing his new laws. It seems quite convenient that a day or two before the next debate in parliament our highly efficient BND should arrest highly dangereous terrorists... A sensible question we should think about: who are really the bad guys?

I actually answered that question above yesterday on that site. They never print my comments on there, I guess calling a spade a friggin' shovel doesn't sit well with their censors.

"Did you read the comments? People in Britain and Germany are already calling it a false flag operation" - PMK

No, SOME people in Britain and Germany are calling it a false flag operation, in this case just 2 out of 25, and 1 of those is actually in Hong Kong.
And then there is “Just an arrest. Nothing has yet been proven!”, but that is from Salman Shah, of London, naturally.
It is not surprising that the German team would have called London, since their alleged explosive mix sounds similar to that used in the 7/7 bombings, and the limited reports I have seen on the Danish arrests mention the ”unstable” nature of the explosives the suspects were preparing, which suggests that they also planned the use of
TATP as a detonator. Perhaps their chemist is in London ?
Nor is it surprising that the German authorities are looking for 10 more suspects, a team of 3 would have had difficulty making use of so much explosive.
While I am heartened by the arrests, it really does sound like a wave of major attacks was being planned, and if we do not see a lot more arrests during the next few days then some of those attacks may still be attempted.

I saw the comments and they are disheartening. I posted that on the German story yesterday.

It is always the same thing. False flag ( what does that mean anyway?), politicians making the police arrest people just to distract from whatever it is that they are doing the next day, next week or next month (they must never do anything else but plan this stuff), the police don't really have a case ( I bet they would disagree), they are just trying to take away rights. And of course the ususal muslims who post that it is just islamophobia.

I would really like to see a lot more postings without that kind of BS.

At last someone gets it. I was trying to point this out to a poster on another board that I use, who was busily explaining that these two Germans had been "polluted" by Islamists into becoming terrorists.

Not so. These guys will undoubtedly turn out to be just the same as the people you mentioned above - hateful inadequates with a grudge against society, looking for someone to blame. Islam was just their drug of choice.

In years gone by, depending on their politics, they'd have joined the Red Army Faction or the neo-Nazis. Today, Islam, with its built-in sense of grievance and victimhood and its supremacist ideology, is their natural home. Think how many losers like that we have festering in our societies - in our prisons, in our welfare offices and on our campuses. Then think what a vast pool of potential recruits they offer to the forces of Islamism.

Absolutely right. And just as american citizens can convert and become terrorists (Gadahn and Co.), it should not surprise us that german citizens do it as well.

What is not being mentioned here is what an incredibly good STING operation this must have been. First, the terrorists spread themselves over three provinces and decided to operate out of little bitty one horse towns like Medebach-Oberschledorn in the province of Hoch-Sauerland. They rented a vacation home and paid for it cash on hand, leaving almost no trail behind them. In the last 6 days before the bust, 300 officials were on duty 24/7 according to ARD (the state news service of Germany). They were working in Ulm, in Hanau (close to the Frankfurt airport) and in Stuttgart, just to name a few locations.

Now, one could speculate that this bust does come right at a time when the interior ministry could use it: they want to (or probably already have) release a trojan program to spy on all computers in Germany to search out terrorist activity and now there is legislation to make participation in terror-training camps a felony crime. So, the success of this bust certainly helps the interior ministry. But more than that, it is September and we all know that each year, terrorists just love to try to one-up 9-11.

So, great praise to the german police and their equivalent of the FBI. As an american living in Germany, I am happy that they made the bust in the biggest sting operation in their post-war history.

And most of this centers around the city of Ulm, which was always very left-oriented and becoming a hotbed of islamic radical thought, just as Mannheim and Cologne.

Now just take a minute and imagine for yourselves how many thousands of innocents would have died if 7 or 8 of those bombs had gone off at the same time in Frankfurt, one of the largest airhubs in the world. Kind of makes you want to sigh in relief every time we kill one of those islamofascist bastards.
