The SITE Institute announced, and then pulled, notice that a new Osama video was in the offing -- so that video may or may not be forthcoming.
But Hot Air got a photo from it before it was pulled, featuring a very shahhhp Osama with beard trimmed and hair dyed so black that it makes him look as if he's ready to hit the gaming tables at Caesar's Palace.
What? Why not henna dye, in imitation of the Prophet? Why, black dye is -- it's bid'a! (That is, innovation, which is haram -- forbidden.)
Seriously, the black dye is important. More on that asap.

...note the lips...normal are pink tone-his are silver tinted with the same palloresque quality that makes one think he just got back from the taxidermist-and he was the stuffed animal.
We'll see soon enough if all goes as announced, but even if he's still alive and that's really him, he's REALLY close to death. Every time I've seen such conditions on a person, they'd be dead within a month. (does that mean I owe ya a dollar on the bet? lol)

Oh, I never thought the day would come, that somebody could chalenge Robert about something or anything about islam, but if memory serves: In 'Umdat al-salik, The Reliance of the Traveler, there is a passage that do say that it´s bid'a to dye gray hair black. Is only hallal to dye it with henna, as the prophet.
But there is one exception: When you´re going into battle, into jihad! The reason for this is to make an impression of strenght towards the enemy. Then you´re allowed to dye your hair black. That would sugest to me that Osama, or the photoshop-guy of Al-qaeda want to strike fear into our hearts: The man is on a warpath!
Could this be related to the "promise" on the net of a six year "pressent" on 9/11? Or is it just a way of have us guessing? Or is it a way of saying: "Hey, you kuffars! You´ve tryed to kill me for six years now and I´m still here, strong as ever!"? We might learn in the days that will follow.
On a personal note: I loved the Star Trek joke. I don´t know if you gys have heard or remember, but several years ago, king Abdullah of Jordania made an apperance in Star Trek Voyager. So, famous and in-famous muslims might have a future with the franshise. If I don´t remember totaly wrong, the main villain of ST XI is not cast yet. Most of my fellow Jihad Watchers here are making jokes about this tape, but this is serious and could be forewarning of an attack directed at us. A tape was released a month ago from Adam Gadan that an attack was coming, and now this Bin Laden tape to be released. 17 school buses have been stolen in Houston alone and there have been warnings of Beslan style attacks here. Wake up people and quit making jokes. I was hoping someone else here would have some info on this but all you can think of is his silly beard. It's probably an old picture posted to new audio, but a video from him signifies attacks on us.

Bigcatgirl, try Glenn Beck. He is doing a show on this Tuesday about the stolen buses and warnings were sent out to law enforcement across the country about Beslan style attacks earlier this year. The photo of Bin Laden is most likely an old one and they've retouched the beard. I'm more concerned with the content of the video or audio, than the color of his beard, and so should everyone else here. This tape is directed to the USA. I'm surprised Robert who is supposed to be teaching us all, would make jokes about this. This tape is extremely serious and I'm sure the FBI and CIA are shitting their pants right now.

Bonniea - I'm sure they've been on alert all summer. People on this site are concerned of course but just pointing out that the photo seems false. Not that it doesn't mean anything though.
The authorities keep saying that his videos have no link to any attacks, at least the ones that I hear talking. Is there a link? I haven't kept track. Has there ever been a notice that a tape is showing up in a few days before it is released? Don't they normally 'just show up' and get broadcasted before we know anything is coming? Seems strange to me.
As far as the buses go, that hasn't made any news that I have seen. Just local news where you are. It could be like they say on the link above, that they are being taken to Mexico. Or it could be linked to pending attacks. It's impossible to think the way they do. Depraved. Those two that jumped on a bus last year are a real cause for alarm though.
Will it matter what kind of attack happens? Unlikely. Did Russia throw them out after Beslan? Punish anyone? No. After the theatre attack? No.
There will be the usual talk. Small minority. Misunderstanders. Muslims are hard working and here for generations. Don't take it out on the peaceful moderate majority. etc.etc.etc. How will any government be able to punish those that were not involved? Vigilanties will be punished, not muslims. Haven't you heard all the islam is a relgion of peace talk? I'll believe that they will be expelled when I see it. Fifty percent of non-muslims are still willing to fight for them.
A burka wearing muslim in my neighborhood moved away the day after 9/11. Fearful of repercussions I'm sure. They didn't realize that they were surrounded by Christians who turn the other cheek, willing to be slapped around. They are probably back somewhere. They shouldn't be living in Dar-al-Harb anyway. That tells me they think everywhere is muslim land already. Do we have somewhere to go when they take over?

silent_rage: Henna is a plant that is used to make red dye. When used on the hair, it can have a pretty gruesome effect (take it from someone who has done it :-) ).

Bonneia my friend, take it easy. Not all of us are going to take a dump in our pants every time the statusmo start hyping a new obl video. This is like an up coming blockbuster that is opening over the weekend would be advertised. Shazzam, obl, and any other islamists don’t frighten many of us, many of us have been in dangerous situations before and I will tell you that joking is a big part of getting a handle on your negative emotions. No seriously the guvment is fighting terror when they should be fighting islamist jihadists so what would you have us do, hide out, take a dump, call our mommies? I am fed up with tapes, warnings, threats, tantrums, whining from the rop. If they were seriously moderate they would have no reason when we say crush the islamists to seethe and whine, unless as I suspect many of them are part of the movement (no pun intended). Don’t freak out, think, what bothers them, what will make them think twice about attacking us, a dump in the pants or fearless unrelenting mockery? Sometimes in life you end up with only a fruit knife to defend yourself, what should you do with it peel a prune?

British law, and American law which is largely derived from it, make up the most advanced and just legal system ever developed. It would constitute a step backward to try to replace this with *any* other system that currently exists.
But it is not as though they are discussing substituting, say, France's Napoleonic Code for British law.
No, it is advocating replacing the enlightenment of British law with the backward evil of Shari'ah. This was seen in its "purest" form in Taliban controlled Afghanistan. It is difficult to conceive of a more hellish place to live.
And creeping Shari'ah is exactly what we are seeing today in Britain. Thanks again for this important post.

Maybe everybody was laughing when his tape was broadcast the summer of 2001, but I wasn't laughing. If several weeks pass and nothing happens, then I will have a giggle at his stupid black beard, but not until then. I have a friend who is a paramilitary for a certain government agency and I'm 100% certain he isn't thinking about his black beard either, but will instead focus on the message that will be broadcast to us. If something happens, then I'm sure CAIR won't be laughing either because the American people will take justice into their own hands since we can't really trust our government to do what needs to be done with all this PC bullshit.

I wasn't laughing in 2001 about bin Laden. I didn't even know who he was. BUT I knew muslims were a danger to the west. The embassy bombings and tossing a wheelchair bound man off a ship had not escaped my notice. All the other horrific attacks didn't have a name but I knew they were serious.
I'm not laughing at this video either. Just pointing out the fact that it seems fake. And you are right that it doesn't matter if it is fake or not because it is the koran that is the cause of this, not bin Laden.
I'm sure that the security people know what is going on. Will they join the common people to toss them out after an attack on children? Or will they stand between the muslims and all the rest and lock you up? It is their duty to protect the law. I would think they will be against you. So many people don't seem to think that muslim immigration is a problem. Many of them are in positions of power. I await a change in that. I haven't seen much.
Muslims are like the Borg. Focused on their one goal only. Seemingly unstoppable. That is what my moniker reminds me of every time I sign in.
Paramilitary people could reassure us. I would like that. I have family that fly alot. Everywhere is vulnerable though including schools, and stadiums. Remember the guy who exploded in the midwest outside a stadium only because he got stopped? I'm the only one in my family that even heard that story. Nobody pays attention. They would do nothing if there was an attack. That is why I read this site. And all the books I can. So I can tell them. They just don't listen. I am not laughing at the situation. Far from it. However, a little mockery does make me feel better.

Intel is analyzing the tape and supposedly it has no specific threats directed towards us, which is a relief, so maybe now I can laugh a bit about the black beard.
I do not know about the man in the Midwest who blew up. Can you tell me about it?
Unfortunately my paramilitary friend will not tell me one single thing about their operations or anything related to the war on terror, but I will say they are very serious people and rarely laugh or smile especially where their job is concerned.
If something happens and the cops crack down on those defending our country stateside, well all I can say is God and country comes first because where would we be without it.

I don't reckon that's him. Forget the hair and beard colour, look at the facial features. They don't quite match previous pix. And the differences are not those normally indicative of ageing. His nose is too wide for a start. I could understand overall thinning or bloating of the face, but that isn't what I see on that video.

Thanks Borg! Don't know how I could have missed that one. Sounds like he was trying to be a lone homicidal bomber. Good thing he wasn't able to get inside the stadium. After 9/11 analysts predicted Al Qaeda would break up into many factions of smaller cells enacting plots on their own, which is what this one appeared to be and others like the Glasgow incident.

Intel says no specific threat. I disagree. Muslims are required to call unbelievers to islam and then give them three days to answer the call. Bin Laden made the call. Of course he has done this in the past, too. But who knows if this call is his three day warning?

Grecian Formula or Just For Men?
As I understand it, Ayman al-Zawhiri talked Osama Bin Laden into it. There have been a lot of conversations in Waziristan recently about hair, and what to do with it when you can't do a thing with it. Hair, how long to wear it, how short to cut it, on the head, on the face and elsewhere if you are preparing for martyrdom, are major topics in Islam. See Al-Qaradawi.
And there is of course the problem, for men (women of course must cover up, for if they so much as flaunt a lock of that hair in their shaytanish fashion, god knows what it will do to helpless men, driving them wild), of what happens when you have very little of it left. According to the latest findings of the C.I.A., which has been giving the subject a great deal of high-level attention, and has finally produced, after 18 months of study, a top secret paper on the subject ("Understanding Ayman Al-Zawahiri") the roots of his own rage can be found in the expensive Western treatment he underwent at the Cairo branch of Hair Club For Men, and it turned out that the thousands of hair implants were defective (apparently made in China, from god knows what), and didn't take root, and it was then and there that Al-Zawahiri made two decisions.
The first was to never try implants again, and to always wear that white turban instead.
Oh, and the second was to conduct violent Jihad against Infidels, beginning with all those associated with Hair Club For Men. If i were those Chinese manufacturers of those plastic hair implants that they tried to pass off as real, I'd be a little concerned.
And that gets to the root of the Why They -- or at least Ayman Al-Zawaihri -- Hate Us.
