"Bin Laden wants 'caravan' of martyrs," by Lee Keath for the Associated Press:
CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden urged sympathizers to join the "caravan" of martyrs as he praised one of the Sept. 11 suicide hijackers in a new video that emerged Tuesday to mark the sixth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
Al-Qaida traditionally issues a video every year on the anniversary, with the last testament of one of the 19 hijackers involved in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. This year's video showed hijacker Waleed al-Shehri addressing the camera and warning the U.S.: "We shall come at you from your front and back, your right and left."
The new message, which AP Television News obtained from the IntelCenter monitoring group in suburban Washington, came days after the world got its first current look at bin Laden in nearly three years, with the release of a video Saturday in which the terror leader addressed the American people.
Later in the day it appeared on militant Web sites, with a note from al-Qaiada's media production wing al-Sahab saying it was intentionally sent to television stations before being placed on the Internet.
It begins with an audiotape introduction by bin Laden. While his voice is heard, the video shows a still image of him, raising his finger. In the image, bin Laden has the same dyed-black beard and the same clothes — a white robe and cap and beige cloak — that he had in Saturday's video.
But it was not known if the audiotape was recently made. In the past, al-Qaida has used footage and audio of bin Laden taped long ago for release later.
In the tape, bin Laden praised al-Shehri, saying he "recognized the truth" that Arab rulers were "vassals" of the West and had "abandoned the balance of (Islamic) revelation."
"It is true that this young man was little in years, but the faith in his heart was big," he said.
"So there is a huge difference between the path of the kings, presidents and hypocritical Ulama (Islamic scholars) and the path of these noble young men," like al-Shehri, bin Laden said. "The formers' lot is to spoil and enjoy themselves whereas the latters' lot is to destroy themselves for Allah's Word to be Supreme."
"It remains for us to do our part. So I tell every young man among the youth of Islam: It is your duty to join the caravan (of martyrs) until the sufficiency is complete and the march to aid the High and Omnipotent continues," he said.
At the end of his speech, bin Laden also mentions the al-Qaida leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed in an U.S. air strike there. Al-Zarqawi followed in the footsteps of al-Shehri and his brothers who "fulfilled their promises to God."
"And now it is our turn," bin Laden says.
This is curious, especially in light of bin Laden's dyed beard, and its connotations in Islamic tradition of preparing for jihad. In saying that it is "our turn," is he looking to dodge accusations that he sends others to die while he hides in caves? Or is he somehow anticipating his own "martyrdom?"
After bin Laden speaks, the video of al-Shehri appears. Al-Shehri — one of the hijackers on American Airlines Flight 11, which hit the World Trade Center — is seen wearing a white robe and headscarf, with a full black beard, speaking in front of a backdrop with images of the burning World Trade Center.
[...]
"As for our own fortune, it is not in this world," he said. "And we are not competing with you for this world, because it does not equal in Allah's eyes the wing of a mosquito."
Al-Shehri warned Muslims who strayed to return to their religion and deplored the state of those who abandoned Muslim holy war, or jihad.
"The condition of Islam at the present time makes one cry ... in view of the weakness, humiliation, scorn and enslavement it is suffering because it neglected the obligations of Allah and His orders, and permitted His forbidden things and abandoned jihad in Allah's path," he said.

>b>"And now it is our turn," bin Laden says.
It's about time he practiced what he preached. Hopfully it will be somthing dramatic like maybe using his body to destroy one of our 500lb bombs or possibly stop a string of .50 cal rounds with his body.

With apologies to the Isley Brothers:
Ooh...ooh...ooh..
Ooh...ooh...ooh..
Are you ready for the time of your life
It's time to stand up and fight
(It's alright) It's alright (It's alright, it's alright)
Sword in hand we'll take a caravan
To Martyrland
Every jihadi, every Mohamedan
Join the caravan of death (Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Everybody take a sword
Join the caravan of death.

"The dogs bark, the caravan moves on."
He thinks Muslims are the caravan, and we Infidels the barking dogs who cannot stop that caravan, the Caravan of the Onward March of Islam.
Perhaps.
Or perhaps he has both the caravan, and the dogs, mis-assigned.

Walterc, the human body, especially one as skinny as bin Laden's, does not stop .50 cal. bullets. They go through bodies like a chain saw. He would have to hide behind several rows of women and children to avoid being shredded, but I would like the opportunity to see if he could stop a .223.

Could this "caravan" be all the trucks coming though our borders now. Mexico is a great place for martyrs to pick up forged ID's and caravan across the US border.

Methinks he is mistaken. The scorn, humiliation, enslavement they are suffering are due to islam not their lack of following it.

Saw a MEMRI internet video yesterday, with Ron Silver as presenter, showing clips of many media commentators in Iran, the Middle East, and Turkey blaming Jews and the U.S. for 9/11. Yet large parts of the Middle East celebrated the destruction of the towers. One suspects that some of the same people celebrating on 9/11 were later blaming the Jews and Bush for the attacks.
Below is an excerpt from a relevant article at http://usinfo.state.gov/media/Archive/2005/Jan/14-260933.html.
Vague conspiracy theories blaming Israel began to appear within 24 hours of the attacks. Syria's government-owned Al Thawra newspaper may have been the first newspaper to make the "4,000 Jews" claim. According to U.S. embassy reporting, its September 15th edition falsely claimed "four thousand Jews were absent from their work on the day of the explosions."The 4,000 figure apparently came from an article entitled "Hundreds of Israelis missing in WTC attack" which appeared in the September 12th internet edition of the Jerusalem Post. It stated, "The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem has so far received the names of 4,000 Israelis believed to have been in the areas of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon at the time of the attacks."
Unknown conspiracy theorists apparently seized upon the 4,000 figure, transforming it into the false claim that 4,000 Jews did not report for work at the World Trade Center on September 11.
A total of 2,071 occupants of the World Trade Center died on September 11, among the 2,749 victims of the WTC attacks. According to an article in the October 11, 2001, Wall Street Journal, roughly 1,700 people had listed the religion of a person missing in the WTC attacks; approximately 10% were Jewish. A later article, in the September 5, 2002, Jewish Week, states, "based on the list of names, biographical information compiled by The New York Times, and information from records at the Medical Examiner's Office, there were at least 400 victims either confirmed or strongly believed to be Jewish." This would be approximately 15% of the total victims of the WTC attacks. A partial list of 390 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who died (out of 658 in the company) lists 49 Jewish memorial services, which is between 12% and 13%.
This 10-15% estimate of Jewish fatalities tracks closely with the percentage of Jews living in the New York area. According to the 2002 American Jewish Year Book, 9% of the population of New York State, where 64% of the WTC victims lived, is Jewish. A 2002 study estimated that New York City's population was 12% Jewish. Forty-three percent of the WTC victims lived in New York City. Thus, the number of Jewish victims correlates very closely with the number of Jewish residents in New York. If 4,000 Jews had not reported for work on September 11, the number of Jewish victims would have been much lower than 10-15%.
From a Slate article on the same subject:
...It is an article of faith in many Muslim countries that Israel was behind the attack on the World Trade Center, with many citing as their evidence a "news report" that 4,000 Israelis called in sick from their jobs at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. The allegation has now appeared on scores of Web sites and bulletin boards, has been reproduced in e-mails too numerous to count, and has run as fact in newspapers and news broadcasts in the Middle East. Where did this charge originate, and what path did it take around the world?Posted by: traeh(...)
According to Nexis and the Google search engine, the first mention of Israeli involvement in the attacks came in a Sept. 17 report on Lebanon's Al-Manar Television. The Los Angeles Times reports that the terrorist group Hezbollah has free access to Al-Manar's airwaves, and the station's Web site claims that the station exists to "stage an effective psychological warfare with the Zionist enemy."
(...)
Within days, the story appeared in newspapers around the world. A remarkably similar version appeared under the byline of Irina Malenko in Russia's Pravda on Sept. 21. Pravda removed the article from its Web site a few hours after posting, calling it a "great and foolish mistake," but it can still be accessed here. On Sept. 21, the Chicago Tribune reported that a Pakistani paper, which it did not name, had published a similar account. In his Sept. 23 Slate "Dispatch" from Islamabad, Peter Maass reported that a local pro-Taliban politician repeated the 4,000 Jews claim at an anti-U.S. rally. On Sept. 26, Pakistan's Business Recorder printed the story about 4,000 Jews in language almost identical to the original Al-Manar article as a letter to the editor under the name "Hakeem." The same day, the New York Times reported that the allegation had appeared in a newsletter published by an Islamic charity and in lesson plans prepared by Egyptian middle-school teachers. On Oct. 4, the Chicago Tribune spotted the allegation in a Saudi paper, which it did not name. In the Oct. 8 issue of Time, Tim McGirk reported from Pakistan that the story had swept through the country's mosques and Urdu newspapers.
On Sept. 28, USA Today repeated the claim in the context that "Muslims the world over" had tried to pin the attack on Israel. USA Today did not explain the origin of the charge. The Village Voice did the same on Oct. 2. The hoax-debunking site Snopes.com assailed the story, as well. With the Web as a weapon, a lie spreads quickly and easily. With the Web as a corrective tool, the same lie becomes much easier to bat away.

Looks like Adam Gadahn is the 21st Century version of Goebbells...
It's obvious that bin Laden's video is a fake, and that Gadahn is the ghost writer/author of this.
I think OBL is dead.
I believe the "caravan" comment could mean trucks from Mexico, certainly. And our left and right could mean our ports, as we ourselves have seen our ferrys being scouted by middle eastern men with video cameras since before 9/11, as we return from annual trips to and from Vancouver, BC.
What bugs me about this "martrydom" comment by the puppet OBL is when he says this world does not matter to them, only the next in heaven.
Well, if that's the case then why bother with anything of this world? If Allah doesn't care, why should the jihadists? Too many contradictions in this so called "religion of peace."
Allah is NOT Jehovah; not even close. I would like to see more of this as even mainstream Christians are erroneously taught that Allah is the same God as Jehovah. Read up on it and you will see that this so called "allah" is not the God of the Bible.
Islam is an evil cult disguised as a religion of peace. It's a cult of hate.

Good idea. "Religion of Peace Train" might mess up the rhyme scheme.

Worse yet type of caravan;
http://www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2007/08/27/school-bus-thefts-concern-houston-authorities/
Every parent, teacher, and student should get to know who is driving the school bus.
One more thought, put GPS on school buses.

The creator behind the docudrama (which wont be released because the DNC is afraid of negative Clinton inferences) "The Road to 9/11", said that the reason there hasn't been an attack like 9/11 in America, is because Bin Laden wants to milk the big event for all he can - a lesser attack would diminish the impact of the 9/11 'success'.
Sure looking forward to beating these bastards.

Stolen and taken across border,if that is the case, and it is true, that makes you wonder who is allowing them to pass through border.

Yep...he's had a stroke-couldn't even raise his finger, just pull a page over to the side with one hand, so they provided an old still photo of him raising a finger??? lol, laughable.
He wants this...he wants that...blah blah blah...
Why does he want a caravan? I thought he had an "army" of martyrs? Oh, that's right-all his top dogs are dead or on vacation at Gitmo. volkssturm, revisited?
9/11 he demanded us to submit to his death cult in ultimatum, but now he merely "invites" us to do the same, now feigning "we'll leave you alone if you leave us alone" projectionistic narcissism.
He's pissed off at other islamist leaders who see going up against the US is futile, and now expresses his sourpussed spew on them. "turning brother against brother" now, are we? lol
Now he claims to speak for the *ahem* "High and Omnipotent"???...and he's not even an imam racketeer??? Pretty high pedestal he self-ordained himself with...not to mention he must have awfully "blasphemous balls" to assume such authority...lol
"And now it's our turn"????
obl HAD his one and only "turn" long before 9/11, but 9/11 was the starw that broke the camels back, he was unprepared for the response as he was used to dealing with wusses and PCers, not someone who'd turn right around and hit him where & how he'd least expect it.
With his hypocrisy, it's ALWAYS "his turn", so this is window dressing on his part...we already know they're trying to hit us...it's only a question of how & when...
(and that reminds me...why the hell do they have to deliver a monologue response to even the smallest inquiries when a simple yes or no should've sufficed? Just a rhetorical I like to point out).
Nobody abandoned their "holy war"...they're just abandoning HIM, and he knows it...they still want their worldwide jihad, but obl's become too much of a hot potato to all but the most fervent diehards who are merely disenfranchised misanthropic malcontents who feel they have nothing left to lose.
He rambles too much...shakespeare had it coined long ago. Looks like all talk and no action makes osama a dull boy, too.
We know it's coming, so we're not kidding ourselves...but their cause isn't helped by this health-stricken closet-hedonist who started a spoiled brat, but didn't get the one thing he wanted most from daddy, and some western girl who told him no (which caused him to revert to jihad in the sour-grapes'd first place): power & control
I have but one word response to his veiled ultimatum of threats and demands:
NUTS!

Joe Schmoe:
Glenn Beck has 'homed in' on the school bus story and is doing a week-long 'Special' on CNN (I know, I know .....) entitled "The Perfect Day" (7pm and and 9pm EST - started last night).
Tonight he is focusing on the Beslan atrocity.
His aim: to 'connect the dots' re the Islamist threat to the children of the USA and to awaken his audience to the threat.
I find his style puerile but I wish him luck.

@Kate
Ah, I was watching Glen Beck tonight. He is the closest of all the talking heads when it comes to Islam being the real enemy, but not saying enough about it IMHO. Maybe this school threat will get people aware. He did say the other night that he believes that Bush will have to do something about Iran before he leaves office. If Bush did something using force I am afraid it would split the country even further because how some many don't get it.
What I see happening is that people are so consumed with what Bush has or hasn't done they are being blinded and wasting energy that could be better spent on addressing the real problem. Same with religion being all bad or good.
Two other threads were knocked OT on these side issues. I hope I am not starting a flame war because that is not my point.

Islam has never inspired people Mr.Al - Sehri..
So its present condition makes you cry. It will be more crying tomorrow. The oppressed of islam will then be laughing. And he who laughs last laughs longest.
