Thug-in-Chief can't visit Ground Zero

An update on this story. "New York: Iran's leader can't visit ground zero," from CNN:

NEW YORK (CNN) -- City officials in New York have denied Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's request to visit the site of the destroyed World Trade Center next week, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The controversial, outspoken president wanted to "pay his respects" and lay a wreath at the site of the 2001 al Qaeda attacks during his visit to the U.N. General Assembly, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said, citing Iranian officials.
But workers are rebuilding the foundations of the site, "and it would not be possible for him to go where other people don't go," Kelly told CNN.
Iranian officials have not put in any additional requests to visit the public platforms at ground zero, police spokesman Paul Browne told CNN. But, he said, "If there were a further request, we'd reject it" because of security fears.

Why make excuses? The matters of principle involved should be aired unapologetically.

The Iranian mission to the U.N. said it had not been told of the decision, but in a statement issued Wednesday evening, it called the rejection "unfortunate."
Iran is ruled by a Shiite Muslim government hostile to the fundamentalist Sunni al Qaeda.

But also to Israel and the U.S.

[...]
"It is appalling that President Ahmadinejad, one of the world's leading sponsors of terror, would find it appropriate to visit this hallowed ground," State Department spokesman Tom Casey said.

Exactly.

"A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m.

"The source says regardless of the NYPD's rejection of the request for a Ground Zero tour, Iran's president and his entourage will be accompanied by a Secret Service protective detail, a detail provided to all heads of state when they visit the United States."

Josephine,

Even heads of states that call for genocide?

Posted by: Elric66 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:05 AM

....this perverted person thinks that he could fool all the people all the time. Maybe in his comfort zone (just maybe). it would be an utter insult to the family of the victims and to the citizens of america if this KSP thug would be allowed to visit ground zero. what would he be thinking at the time of laying a wreath. Would he be laughing inside and be sober outside? what a sight it would be!

pls. if this thug would insist, let the police arrest him and deport him unceremoniosly.

ha ha ha ha ha!

The U.S. Senate Project (an initiative to increase congressional awareness of the nature and goals of jihad) currently has 90 volunteers in 41 states.

WE ARE STILL SEEKING ADDITIONAL CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FROM ALL 50 STATES, ESPECIALLY THE FOLLOWING 11:

Connecticut
Delaware
Mississippi
Montana
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Vermont
West Virginia
Wyoming

THE PROJECT: We're looking for people in every state of the Union who would be willing to purchase, from Amazon or any other source, a copy of Robert Spencer's new book Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is And Islam Isn't and mail it, on an agreed upon date, to one of the senators in your state. We want to get the book simultaneously to all 100 senators, in order to send a strong message. If we get more than two people per state, books can also be sent to the U.S. House of Representatives.

If you'd like to participate (or you just have questions), please write to me at traehnam@yahoo.com under the subject heading "Senate," and tell me the state your senator represents, and a nickname. No need for your real name. And I will never share your email address with anyone, not even with other volunteers for this project.

And visit jihadawareness.blogspot.com to get more info on this project and to leave comments other volunteers can read. You can also see there the growing list of participants in this project, and the states their senators represent. I've also designed a graphic that might amuse. Scroll down when you get to the site.

Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.

Right before each of us mails the book, we’ll issue a press release to media outlets in as many states as possible, and in that way announce and explain the mailing. And perhaps we can come up with some other ways of maximizing the effectiveness of this project and gaining as much positive attention as possible.

One of the project's volunteers suggested contacting Rep. Sue Myrick, who started the Anti-Jihad Caucus in Congress. I'll try to coordinate this project with Rep. Myrick. I've also been calling various congressional offices to get advice on how best to proceed.

The controversial, outspoken president wanted to "pay his respects" and lay a wreath at the site of the 2001 al Qaeda attacks....

For the victims or for the perpetrators?

Very sensible decision, NY city!

Josephine,

I do hope he can be arrested right on the spot, that would be sweet justice for the people that died on that day.

Posted by: bigcatgirl13106 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:23 AM

It’s for the "poor" perps that never got their proper “honors” of coarse.

Simple fact NYPD needs to inform the Secret Service that if the Midget Troll tries to go there and they follow him. They'll be arrested for trying to help him start a Riot.

Do I need to state the OBVIOUS that if Amadinejad gets to visit ground zero he will be hailed in the ummah for tweaking the Great Satan right in his own home

Posted by: dennisw [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:28 AM

My only quibble with this is semantical. He's not really the Thug-in-Chief, he's only the puppet-in-chief of the mullahs, despite his having glowed at the UN.

It's a testimony to our restraint that we even allow this former hostage-holder on our shores. Restraint, and propriety (how much more politically correct can you get?) and, it's an especial testimony to our gullibility.

Posted by: Goob [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:29 AM

Elric66 -- It doesn't make sense to me, either. If you read the article, there is a good quote from Rudy G.

bigcatgirl13106 -- I don't know why he's allowed in the country. I think the UN should be blacklisted and turfed, as well.

"Diplomacy" can bite my big apple as far as I'm concerned.

If this loon in elevator shoes defies the NYPD and trespasses, his ass should be thrown right in the city's drunk tank, after being formally introduced to everyone in the cell.

He shouldn't even be allowed into the country in the first place.

Posted by: Prickzilla [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:32 AM

Josephine,

It makes me wonder myself why he is even allowed to come to the USA let alone go to the UN or WTC Memorial site. Frankly the UN should relocate to Switzerland.

Posted by: bigcatgirl13106 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:36 AM

Maybe he can buy one of those beyond-tacky souvenirs his coreligionists are selling at the WTC site? I was there over Labour Day, and there are guys who come up carrying accordian strings of photos of 9/11 - pictures of the planes hitting, the towers falling, the bodies falling through the air. They push these right in your face. One small girl was crying as was her mother - I hope they didn't lose a relative on 9/11. I kept trying to push the sellers out of the way and finally lost it. I screamed in the guy's face and I'm embarrassed to say that it nearly came to blows - my friend pulled me away and into the nearby church.

If the mayor of NYC can't come up with enough of a pair to keep this POS away from Ground Zero, I'll bet he could come up with volunteers. Where in the heck are the Patriot Guard Riders when we really need them?

A better response would be a thick line of contraction workers armed with tools of the trade (chain saws etc) to keep Amadinejad away from GZ

Prickzilla,

True, he would be considered a criminal for tresspassing on a major reconstruction site. Like as I have said, the NYPD better have their tasers ready for him just in case.

If the NYPD won't take him down there perhaps Nancy Pelosi can use her own state security contingent to personally bring him there for a little tour. Then, after the WTC site, they can head over to chat with the Islamic Thinkers Society in Brooklyn where President A can personally give them advice on 'getting their message out' over some tea.

Thank-you for you effort to stand up to those who want to USE the memories of the people who died on 9/11 as well as the heros of that day to hawk their wares.

Sometime between this fall and spring of next year I and a friend of mine will want to stop by at GZ in NYC, since we live in neighboring CT, and at least I know what to look out for so that this will not take us by suprise.

Posted by: bigcatgirl13106 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 8:47 AM

Assalamau Laikum all,

I can see that ever after 7 years this is a sensitive subject for you. I accept this and respect this, many an innocent kaffur died in that area on that day.

With all your talk about freedom of speech and freedom of movement however, I fail to understand why he is not allowed to visit the site to pay his respects. ...after all he had nothing to do with the killings...he simply happens to be a muslim.

If atta had survived and he asked to see the site ...I could understand the block...but this....this is a decision made on emotion....it is almost anti-Amerike.

Personally, I would like for the Amerike muslim community to come together, join the New York Amerike community to do an annual march for peace along ground zero trail.

Within this march a small section of chosen shia muslims could perform aspects of the assura, hitting, whipping and cutting themselves, joining and matching the red blood of the kaffur that flowed so freely on that fateful day.

This act in the procession could help seal peace amongst the big apple community, for it would show that the muslim too can feel the pain of the kaffur....

Greetings from NYC.

I passed through the Staten Island ferry terminal this morning, passing Coast Guard men with machine guns & dogs (& and our regular contingent of bomb-sniffing dogs & cops galore), then rode the ferry this morning, accompanied by two Coast Guard runners with mounted machine guns.

I am shaking with rage at the idea that this terrorist may get down to Ground Zero yet. (I am hearing, also, that the secret service may yet accompany him there.)

If he does, it is truly a shame that Israel dares not deal with him on our soil.

Posted by: Vee [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 9:19 AM

I suppose the Mad Mohammedan Munchkin is so accustomed to the taffy-like consistency of the laws in his homeland, he thinks exceptions will be made for him, here.

Was that a gold ring on his finger? Are male Mohammedans now allowed to wear gold, or is this just one of those gooey exceptions?

Oh, well. New Yorkers know how to take care of themselves. An illicit visit to Ground Zero for Mr. Ahmamonkeyinasuit is very likely to meet with an illicit welcome.

Naseem:

Your approval is of no consequence.

Posted by: Abscedere [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 9:24 AM

Since the party line is Ahmanutjob's safety cannot be guaranteed, he should be taken into protective custody by the NYPD (or the Secret Service) and possibly detained. This is all for his protection, you see.

His 'in your face' visit to Ground Zero coincides with our arrest of one of his elite commanders in Iraq, there of course to kill U.S. troops.

Psychological warfare is a 2-way street. A couple of days in protective custody(and a Jack Ruby-style visit) would serve this little baboon very well.

I know a few people who live near ground zero, most of them have a view of all of the construction. Whats the criminal penalty for renting the rooms to a few sharpshooters that day? Just kidding, I probably shouldn't even be joking like that.

Ashura:

ISLAM'S SCHISM BEGAN IN A.D. 632, immediately after the Prophet Muhammad died without naming a successor as leader of the new Muslim flock. Some of his followers believed the role of Caliph, or viceroy of God, should be passed down Muhammad's bloodline, starting with his cousin and son-in-law, Ali ibn Abi Talib. But the majority backed the Prophet's friend Abu Bakr, who duly became Caliph. Ali would eventually become the fourth Caliph before being murdered in A.D. 661 by a heretic near Kufa, now in Iraq. The succession was once again disputed, and this time it led to a formal split. The majority backed the claim of Mu'awiyah, Governor of Syria, and his son Yazid. Ali's supporters, who would eventually be known collectively as Shi'at Ali, or partisans of Ali, agitated for his son Hussein. When the two sides met on a battlefield near modern Karbala on Oct. 10, 680, Hussein was killed and decapitated. But rather than nipping the Shi'ite movement in the bud, his death gave it a martyr. In Shi'ite eyes, Hussein is a just and humane figure who stood up to a mighty oppressor. The annual mourning of Hussein's death, known as Ashura, is the most poignant and spectacular of Shi'ite ceremonies: the faithful march in the streets, beating their chests and crying in sorrow. The extremely devout flagellate themselves with swords and whips.

....Muslims love flowing blood, even if it is their own...

If President Nutjob ever even dares to go down to GZ, it would not suprise me if he ends up getting tasered bigtime by the NYPD finest. That would knock some sense into President Nutjob's head.

Better yet, President Nutjob should watch the YouTube video of the UF student who got taser, to send him a message.

Because of the TITLE it is the worst possible choice of books to send to congress. Its the dhimmis and leftists who must be faced with the truth. This title alone, and believe me, they won't get past the title, will REINFORCE their prejudices.

Just a strategic opnion.

A. He should not even be allowed into the US.
B. His plane should be shot out of the sky.
C. When upon US soil, he should immediately be terminated.
D. If all of the above aren't done, the little pip-squeak should be kidnapped like the Americans he kidnapped in 1979 and be made to answer to them..personally...in a closed room...every one of them...individually.
E. If he lives through that, they should let GWB in his cell with him to give him a little Texas justice.

Just more proof that the US should get out of the UN and get the UN out of the US.

Without US funding, the UN would collapse anyway. The UN is at worst a bunch of globalists who want to impose their sick ideals on the whole world and at best a club for corrupt criminals who want to live like lawless potentates. As for the few small necessary things the UN does, such as refugee aid and so-called peacekeeping, that can be better done by soveriegn nations acting individually or in agreement with each other. In fact, even in peacekeeping and refugee aid the UN has often had a destructive effect, just look at Lebanon or the Balkans.

City officials in New York have denied Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's request to visit the site of the destroyed World Trade Center next week, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

Wrong.

It is not in the government’s power to restrict the movement of anyone, let alone a head of state. Ahmedinejad can go wherever he wants. He just won’t have a taxpayer-funded security detail.

Yeah, why are we so nice? I can tell you that the average American isn't as nice and tolerant as our so-called "leaders" are.

If "Achichbineindummernazijad" (lol, thanks Allahfanculo) didn't have so much security around him all the time, he would be in a heap of trouble. The American people has been lied to from their president, lied to from the media, bullied around by muslems, etc. etc. etc. 300 million people, and, like, 10 guns per family-geez what a powder keg.

Our so-called "leaders" might be nice, but the average American person is pretty pissed off (especially when it comes to the WTC on 911).

Then he could wing over to the Crescent Embrace site and pray to Allah.

Can anyone imagine the secret service escorting Hitler around during the forties? Well that is exactly what we have here. The secret service a formerly noted org set up to protect our Presidents from leftard assassins and now our tax dollars are paying for secret service protection of those who would wipe us out. Yes NY arrest them all if they try it. If islamists are allowed to visit that site the site becomes nothing more than an islamist alter to the hijackers. Think about it, imagine Yamamoto visiting the Arizona following Pearl and the secret service there to escort him. In another time we blasted our enemies out of the sky now we escort them about town. Losers, playing a losing game and we will all have to pay the butchers bill for their flagrant anti American citizen behavior. How much can a people take, how insulted must we become to stand up ands say enough! You pols are not Imams, islamists scholars, koranic interpreters so quit telling us what that ideology stands for, you are not qualified to baby sit our pet hamster let alone give us lessons. Lessons on something they have proved to be ignorant of, in their own words. Maybe this is part of the reason that the American people have a 10% approval rating of their so called leaders. Where exactly are they leading us? I have my suspicions.

Keep in mid that Iranian weapons are killing American Soldiers, and Iraqi's. Insurgents have and are being trained by Iran to attack American and coalition troops in Iraq. Iran supports Hezbollah, and Hamas as their proxies for attacking Israel,Irans little nut job threatens the annihilation of Israel almost every week since he has been in office. Iran continuously violates the nuclear non-proliferation treaty,And then thumbs their nose at the UN Security Council who has imposed sanctions against the Iranian regime after they ignored UN resolution 1696 imposed in December of 2006 to stop the weapons grade uranium enrichment program.

"It is not in the government’s power to restrict the movement of anyone, let alone a head of state. Ahmedinejad can go wherever he wants. He just won’t have a taxpayer-funded security detail"

Yeah well its 'within our government's power to ARREST him for his amply photographed and recorded role in the hostage taking at the U.S. embassy - a blatant violation of international law, kidnapping, etc.

All I know is, if he shows up to pay his respects, I won't be anywhere near there. Only Allah knows how many survivors, relatives of victims, and other New Yorkers would be willing to stop the Thug in Chief in violent and/or non-violent ways.

It would make the Ayatollah Khomeini's funeral look like a garden party. If the Thug in Chief got out of there in one piece, he would need to make some extra prayers to Mecca and say 100 extra Allah Akbar's.

The only thing better would be if the Thug in Chief would invite Hugo Chavez to join him on his sight seeing trip that day. I bet that the tour operator wouldn't even ask for the coupon for that Two-Fer special.

Posted by: Foehammer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 12:07 PM

First of all the gubment is not allowed to do anything without the approval of the people. Oh I know the powers that be have set it up to protect each other but I really don’t give a damn. What people don’t realize is that we have been operating unconstitutionally for so long now we don’t even know the difference. Laws have been passed that are clearly unconstitutional but no one notices. Why do you think they go out of their way not to teach the Constitution in school? It is not in their best interest, a stupid citizen is an easy citizen to manipulate. But the patriotic lawyers out there know it and when they get up the guts to start attacking this king like behavior in court we see we are going to see a rollback, a big one. A big part of the islamists plan to conquer the world and spread sharia globally is the UN. Seeing the islamist supporting behavior in the UN escalating since 9-11 and NY suffering the brunt of that attack combined with the threat’s to vaporize the city and doing nothing to purge their city of an enemy base in the heart of them leads me to believe that many New Yorkers are either in major denial or they just don’t care. If they do suffer another even more horrific event they will have no one to blame but themselves, I would like to see them avoid this destiny. Be careful what you hide from it just might find you.

Bingo, friend. If this country were to operate on a strictly constitutional basis, things would come to a screeching halt.

This country contains millions of people who rely on the government for everthing from free money, baby killing, endless appeals, illegal entry, legitimized theft--it's unreal, and unconstitutional.

I, for one, am not afraid to live under a strict constitution and the gold standard for that matter. Because what some see as "strict," I see as freedom from taxation to support all this crap. And freedom from protecting a major enemy on our soil.

Posted by: CapitalistGig [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 20, 2007 12:28 PM

Im waiting for the day the Constitution party starts making waves. I cant stand the Dems for being wrong in everything I hold dear, I cant stand the Republicans for selling out what they once stood for. We need a 3rd party to protect this nation. Neither party bodes well for the future.

Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia Univ...

Why are they letting this little bozo Beasty Boy, come to the US and start throwing his weight around?
Fine, the NYPD should not show up and give him any protection at all. No police escort at all, let the Feds escort him, let the people block the intersections leading to ground Zero, and let the people along the way shout and shake their fists.
Of course the leftists among us would rather throw rose petals at his feet, and treat him with profound respect...Disgusting...

Of course this is a pure in-your-face gesture by Ahmadinejad that islamic propagandists will sue to advantage. Too bad our fearless leader, who could forbid this by restricting Ahmadinejad to his hotel & the UN & travel in between, is letting this outrage happen with his tacit approval. And don't think I meant "fearless" ironically. bush is indeed a fearless leader. Why, he made that clear in a recent meeting w/ milbloggers when he said that if it weren't for his age, he'd like to be serving in Iraq.

U-Houston wacademia suspends disbelief;

Staff editorial: Restricting Ahmadinejad's travel an unnecessary measure ...This barring only gives Ahmadinejad more room for criticism against the United States. It might seem strange to consider, but the chance of this being an honest act of good will between two nations is possible. It may be a small chance, but it's a chance, nonetheless.
Maybe there's a "small chance" Iran wants to bury the hatchet mullah-style?

The way it is;

“Under no circumstances should the NYPD or any other American authority assist President Ahmadinejad in visiting Ground Zero.” –Presidential Candidate Giuliani

The way it should be;

“If he leaves the grounds of the United Nations, he will be prosecuted for the murder of our men.”

Or better yet;

“Thank you for your concern for the victims of 9-11 Mahmoud, please accept our gift of the entire United Nations organization as a token of our appreciation. It will be a fine testament to the power and prestige of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Iran smells weakness, knows our system, and s intent on making the United States look like a bunch of fools, which they will.

Meanwhile back on Mars, the gubment continues to reach out to the rop turning themselves into sitting ducks in the process. I said it was only a matter of time before this reach out program backfires on the very people who invented it. Look around you, who among you support them? Do you know who among your local/state or federal leaders are looking the other way, allowing them to sneak around your city plotting and planning? Who is the college near you listening to, are they inviting those who would incinerate you to address them? In the name of diversity of course. They go to a university to find camaraderie, they walk among us to find victims. Thugincheif=good, Minuteman=bad. Hitler=good, Roosevelt=bad.? You know those people in Iran that the morality police force to suck on community defecation pails, their comradesinslurp are working at/attending a university near you.

One shudders at the thought of there being an “incident” during the visit where Imaidiot is either killed or seriously injured.

Whilst that would be a good thing if it happened in a Middle East country, it's not so good if it happens here, as it would make him an instant martyr and rallying point for the Islamofacists.

I dunno.. I don't think that would be such a tragic thing. We NEED to WAKE UP to the FACT that we are at WAR!!!

Right now only one side is fighting.

The sooner the enemy does something so egregious that we can no longer ignore the UGLY boil on our noses tyhe better we are off.

Better an end with horrors than a horror without end. Which is precisely what we have right now.

We have NO reason to be afraid of them physically in any way at all. As long as we are free to fight them using any means necessary i KNOW we will WIN!

We are WAY more intelligent and disciplined.. and WE are DefendinG our Nations!

Folks, the only reason that Armandhandjob would want to visit Ground Zero is to get the United States off his back. By making his visit, he can say" "See, I'm not such a bad guy after all, am I?", and do know what? There are several liberals in New York who would believe him (Bloomberg, Clinton, Schumer, and their likes); they would then see to it that the U.S, Senate would proclaim an "Armandhandjob Day", and voila: we would have another Monday holiday.

What a country!!!

exsgtbrown,
I know what they'd do first...
based on the panic-squared situation that is in iran now (panicked about what OUR reaction will be, aka, bomb them-they're scared shitless), one reason syria is so quiet even after getting bombed (something unprecedented), another reason he's censored gmail & google-doesn't want the truth to get out, & yet another which the MSM refuses to report on since it would be conflict of interest on their part since they're in cahoots with the nutboy...what they would do is quite simple:

cheer wildly

Bank on it.
