Sunni/Shi'ite Jihad, women's auxiliary division. From AKI (thanks to Insubria):
Baghdad, 25 Sept. (AKI) - A gang of women who are part of the Mahdi army militia, loyal to radical Iraqi Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, have killed a group of Sunni Muslim women in the al-Washshash district of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. This is according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Congress of the People of Iraq, the party led by Adnan al-Dulaimi, who is also the leader of the Iraqi Accord Front, a key Sunni political bloc.
"The vast campaign of forced migration by the militias of the Mahdi Army against the Sunnis in that district of Baghdad, has led to entire Sunni families being forced to flee the area, except for some women who have remained to protect their homes," said the statement.
"The gang, led by the sister of one of the commanders in the Mahdi Army, murdered three Sunni women, killing them after they broke into their homes with the help of some elements of the militia and before the eyes of the government forces, who have been massively deployed in the district of al-Washshash".

not a surprise
I remember several years back, sunnis/shiites were targetting the (Christian) women who worked in the Green Zone in Baghdad.

Hi guys,
Well the article is posted and now we are all expected to give vibrant, well thought out relevant responses. Unfortunately, I am all "commented" out. We have been writing the same things over and over again whenever we hear how much love muslims show to each other...to death apparently. It is becomming nauseatingly repetitious for instance...we call them Vandals, cretons, hater, bigots, animals, sheep, crazies, loones etc etc. We then, out of pure deductive reasoning, call their religion, documented hate speech, bigoted, racist, non sensical, immoral, unreligious, etc etc.
We have heard these arguments so many times and we ACTUALLY BELIEVE THEM however it is getting tedious at best to find somehtign new to write. It's like walking into a restaurant and asking the waiter gayly....whats the "soup du jour"? Right now im tempted to ask...Whats the "Comment du jour" and may I see a menu.
There has to be something else we can do...?

Aside from the almost routine nature of the crime, note the now standard media description:

Do you remember that movie from way back when - Saddam had a regiment of women soldiers and to show how tough they were they were killing dogs and such with their bare hands on camera.
The fact that Iraqis thought this would 'show the world how tough they are' and didn't realize the utter disbelief and revulsion at the cruelty of the act says something about Iraqis.
Its so nice to give the women a chance to 'vent their Islamic frustrations'. The first book that turned me on to the problem of Islamic 'Culture'
was called "Cruelty and Silence".
Under a 'secular' dictatorship or Sunni or Shiite rule. There is a lack of decency in 'that part of the world' under the influence of Islam.
Something HUMAN is missing. Bush can talk all he wants about 'ordinary Iraqi moms and dads'. Someone should write a book Islam the Religion of the Sociopath.

....Unfortunately, I am all "commented" out....
Point taken, and well made. After all we have read and heard it is becoming so commonplace and boring, another muslim killed another group of muslims, what else is new?
Maybe that is part of the plan, they will just bore us into submission.
If we could only get out of their way, let them have their sick fun, and take out the last one standing....

An Important Message from Brigitte Gabriel
• Dozens of Islamic paramilitary camps, training Islamists in jihadist tactics and often using live ammunition, exist on American soil. Why is this being allowed to happen?
• Hundreds of thousands of intelligence intercepts sit in boxes, untranslated, because the FBI doesn’t have enough Arabic translators. Yet the FBI predominately hires Muslims to do translating, routinely rejecting the applications of qualified Christians and Jews. Why is this being allowed to happen?
• A study of publications from 12 of the most prominent mosques and Islamic institutions in the U.S. uncovered hatred for any religion but Islam, hatred of “infidels” (non-Muslims), contempt for democracy, and calls for jihad to overthrow democratic governments and replace them with Islamic government and sharia law. Why is this being allowed to happen?
If you are shaking your head right now in frustration about these outrages, this is your time to say “enough is enough — I want to do something about this!” It is vital that we build ACT for America to be the nation’s largest, most successful citizen action network, whose backbone is a network of patriotic Americans organized in chapters in every city and state in our
great nation. An organization that will hold our elected officials’ feet to the fire, monitor bills on Capitol Hill, and actively influence policy on the local, state and federal levels

Dentist guilty in headscarf row
A dentist who told a female patient she must wear a Muslim headscarf to receive treatment has been found guilty of serious professional misconduct.
Dr Omer Butt was found guilty of discriminating against the woman, known as Ms A, by a disciplinary panel of the General Dental Council (GDC).
The patient said she was "humiliated and upset" after the encounter at the surgery in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Dr Butt received an admonition at the end of the three-day GDC hearing.
Stewart Goulding, chairman of the GDC professional conduct committee, told Dr Butt that his conduct had fallen short of the standard expected.
But he said the committee had noted testimonials from other patients in reaching their conclusion.
Inside the surgery it's Dr Butt's world and his rules apply
Dental nurse
He said: "The committee is satisfied that the appropriate decision is to conclude the case today with this admonition.
"As a member of a caring profession, a dentist has a responsibility to put the interests of patients first.
"The professional relationship between dentist and patient relies on trust and the assumption that a dentist will act in the best interests of the patient.
"The effect of your actions on this occasion was to impede patient A's access to local dental services."
The dentist had denied the charges, but admitted he would ask Muslim women to cover up in accordance with Islamic law before he treated them and reducing fees to encourage patients to wear the headscarf.
Dr Butt, of Prestwich, Greater Manchester, was found to have "undermined public confidence" in the dental profession by discriminating against the woman in April 2005.
No jewellery
Giving evidence in his defence, Dr Butt said he "politely requested" the woman, a non-practising Muslim, to wear a headscarf.
He said it was "unlawful" for him, as a Muslim, to look at a Muslim woman who was not properly covered up.
The patient, a community nurse who worked in Bury, said Dr Butt told her she would have to find another dentist because she would not wear the headscarf.
The hearing was told the dentist later quoted Islamic Sharia law on appropriate relationships between men and women.
Patient A said she was told by a dental nurse at the surgery: "Inside the surgery it's Dr Butt's world and his rules apply."
The patient said she sought to register at the Unsworth Smile Clinic after the birth of her young child because it was nearer to her home.
She said she telephoned the clinic to make an appointment and was told they required Muslim women to wear the headscarf.
Muslim men attending the clinic could not wear gold jewellery, she was told.

You have a valid point!
What is now needed is a co-ordinated education plan for politicians the world over including polite, to the point, thoughtful accurate content and informative evidence of the danger Islam poses to all the west, in every country, from the grass roots population.
We need all the blogs to somehow come together, as a cohesive group, along with their readers, all the tired commenters, as one unified force, led and co-ordinated by one of the major blogs or organizations, like this one, to formulate and propose a massive, and accurate, letter and email campaign, using our freedoms to bring the politicians on board. It must be relentless.
People can't seem to do much on their own, in numbers they can.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

-Attend Interfaith Meetings (to spread anti-Jihad sentiment)
-Bookmarks ("Don't believe the whitewash of Islam. -Find out the truth at www.jihadwatch.com inserted in all dhimmi publications at bookstores, e.g. Armstrong, Esposito, Quraans)
-Mailings (as above poster suggested)
-Outreach to Mosque with your Church reading group
-Bumper Stickers
-Form anti-Jihad chapter in your neighborhood

I am all "commented" out
I hear ya..... I've reduced my comments considerably. Leaving comments on this site is nothing more than 'preaching to the choir' so to speak.
We need to start commenting with less anonymity, in my opinion. This is key to why we hold Robert and others in such high regard. Personally, I've begun to create handouts and bumper stickers so the locals, friends and family can clearly see my stand. I do find it interesting that the majority in my southern Minnesota area are very hesitant to discuss such things out loud. My wife is a great example with her nasty 'shut up now!' looks if I embellish or bring up the topic almost anywhere.
I think this majority, I speak of is keen enough about the problem to hide in fear of retribution. They feel that any outward comment could lead to muslim rage and possible acts of violence against them. Though this general perception is accurate, most don't have the will to stand up and say 'That's it, it's not right, and I want to be heard!' Unfortunately, it's easier for them to live with this fear.
We JW'rs can start by showing them that we are willing to stand up for them. This can not be done with anonymity. Get a bumper sticker, T-shirt, hat, etc. and wear it proudly. I have a new sticker I created from a comment I found here. It reads;
The difference between
ISLAM
and everyone else
IS EXTREME!
With a picture of a Jihadist, Koran and knife in hand at the side.

Good point. And you are right.
We get political. Even possibly joining a mainstream political party or lobbying group or trying to influence journalists or start a blog site or all of them.
We need to do all this calmly, with provable facts at our disposal - like Robert really.
And we are in for the long haul. None of what we read about will go away, it is likely to increase, but we have to doggedly plug away and constantly review - are we making best use of our time? Could we influence more people if we did something differently?
Has anyone sent Beck a copy of Roberts new book?

I have done this also, and carry copies of two leaflets that I have written, everywhere I go. One is titled “3 Questions for Infidels” and incorporates 20 direct quotes from the Qur’an. The other is a 2 page (so it will fit on one sheet of paper) biography of Muhammad. The biography is taken from the “Sirat Rasul Allah”, Hadith from Bukhari and others and a few Qur’an quotes.
I find it easy to pass these out to people after a brief conversation about Islam. I have been surprised at the increasing number of times that conversations about Islam are initiated by others.
“My wife is a great example with her nasty 'shut up now!' looks if I embellish or bring up the topic almost anywhere.”
I have this problem also but you gotta do what you gotta do.
What is the content of the handouts that you have created? Can you reprint them here?

Do not ignore:
" . . . killing them . . . before the eyes of the government forces, who have been massively deployed in the district of al-Washshash".
The Iraqi "government forces," that is the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), the Iraqi police and the IA (Iraqi Army) are as useful as an ox is as a sperm donor.
If we (the U.S.) will not leave Iraq until the ISF can keep the peace, we will be there for centuries.
This will hardly occur, what with change in administration. Therefore, there will be slaughter in Iraq--unless Iran steps in and "keeps the peace."
Do we want this? Hardly.
Therefore (again), internecine slaughter within the ummah wil be in our favor. As to Iran, it must be distracted from taking a hand in this in Iraq. How can this be done?
Hmm. I wonder.
at September 26, 2007 4:58 PM
Has anyone sent this to Sally Field? (During her acceptance speech at the Emmy awards on September 16th, she stated that if moms were in charge of governments there would be no wars. [Margaret Thatcher had 2 kids but she did not say "That's okay. Take the Falklands."]
These gals do not seem to be in the mood to spread "peace and love" to their fellow muslimyahs. I never advocate interfering when one's enemies are destroying themselves but this will really put a crimp in Ms. Field's half baked theory that female hormones = felicity and tranquillity.

Islam is doomed for failure, because not even Muslims can live alongside other Muslims with doctrinal differences. They cannot agree to disagree on these differences because the entire Islamic theology rests on a foundation of hatred and killing -- that's what is at it's core.
If Islam had been around when Adam and Eve were alive then none of us would be alive today. Eve would have killed Adam or Adam would have killed Eve. Shiite Eve and Sunni Adam just couldn't work it out peacefully!
Guess the good news is that Islam came along after mankind was well established -- at least now we have a fighting chance of ridding our planet of this evil 'faith' once and for all.

To shunkleash - yes, it IS tiring. Exhausting, even.
Imagine what it was like for Bat Yeor, or for Andrew Bostom, or K S Lal, wading through the blood-drenched historical documents of past jihads. Bat Yeor speaks of plunging into 'the abyss of oppression'.
However: new readers come to this site all the time, readers who may know almost nothing about Islam and who may not even have read the Qur'an.
The comments field is a way in which those of us who have already been educated can supplement, for those newcomers, whatever commentary Robert or Hugh or Greg may or may not have time to provide.
Clear, coldly rational comments that give, in brief, the background to the latest atrocity - e.g for this article, some info on the sunni-shiite division, and the phenomenon of takfir which allows some Muslims to declare other Muslims to be 'bad' or 'impure' Muslims who may then be killed with a clear conscience - will turn an otherwise 'random shock' news story into a teaching moment. Not to mention that this story links in with the traditional teaching that women, too, may engage in 'jihad'. And it illustrates, in spades, the fact that the much-vaunted 'brotherhood' or 'sisterhood' of Muslims, everybody all happy families together, is purely illusory. Islam cannibalises itself even while it wars upon the outside world.
And seconding ynkeedoodl2, davegreybeard and Abrog8. Good ideas all.
