Hamas: We have 400 jihad martyrdom attackers ready

"Kamikaze," says the ANSA headline. "We have 400 Kamikaze Ready, Hamas Warns." Really? Kamikaze? 神風? Hamas has 400 men ready to die for the Japanese Empire? 400 men ready to kill themselves and others for the divine emperor?

ANSA, an Italian news service, uses -- three times -- a word out of another conflict and another age, probably so as to avoid having to refer to these attackers by any term that is remotely Islamic. They'd rather pretend it's 1943 and Gaza is an outpost of Imperial Nippon than say anything about jihad martyrdom, or the blessing promised to those who "kill and are killed for Allah" in Qur'an 9:111.

"Gaza: We Have 400 Kamikaze Ready, Hamas Warrns," from ANSAmed (thanks to Insubria):

(ANSAmed) - GAZA, SEPTEMBER 28 - If Israel decided to return to occupy the Gaza Strip, it would find 400 kamikaze in expectation ready to die for their cause, and 50,000 combatants: Hamas member Nizar Rayan issued the threat to Arab journalists today. Rayan said that "the most surprising thing" is that among the 400 kamikaze ready to self-explode "against the armed tanks of Israel" there are 200 women. Already in the past Hamas had utilised women to commit suicide attacks, but until now there had been no confirmation that others had been trained to act....

We nuked Japan to avoid facing more Kamikaze attacks. Keep that in mind Hamas. But that would require logic on your part.

From above:

a word out of another conflict and another aid,

Was that supposed to be "another age"?

Anyways, I bet that the actual term used was "martyr" or "shahid", not "kamakazi". And there is not another Middle East Expert (tm) who will notice or comment on the significance of the difference. Robert deserves superlatives yet again.

No, no. This will never do. Into the Valley of Death rode the six hundred. Not the four hundred. The six hundred.

Let's take this one and run with it. I offer a new term, the dreaded Hamikaze, with the obvious disclaimer that these people have nothing to do with Islam.

If Hamas is ready, then Israel is ready. The Jihadi's death-wish is the infidel's command.

Posted by: Ynkedoodl2 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 28, 2007 1:45 PM

Oh well. At least the "kamikaze" term evokes WWII, which suggests a time of greater moral clarity than many people today possess. Also suggests a time when no one doubted there was a war going on. So maybe there's an upside to this.

The only similarity between Kamikaze and Islamic Jihad Suicide attacks is the end result. Japanese worked from a true belief in honor (Bushido) and fought in the uniform of their nation, not hiding behind women and children like "brave" mujahideen. These terrorist scum from the Islamic world, that blow themselves up in the name of Allah, believe they will be eating peeled grapes given to them by nubile virgin girls and enslaved, effeminate boys. So much for honor.

The enemy seeks to bring up old demons to frighten Americans, but as usual, the enemy does not understand that most Americans are educated and digging toes into the earth against the pull of Islamic terror, and not blinded by nihilistic dogma like the Leftists the Islamists beckon to.

Japanese should be quite insulted by such statements from Hamas. I am smart enough to respect the enemies we defeated in WWII. I have no such illusions about the zealots we face today. They would not even be worthy of notice if it were not for the pain they cause and the insane ideology they seek to supplant our own way of life with.

Posted by: Foehammer [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 28, 2007 2:12 PM

There is actually a very good series on WWII airing on PBS. I am surprished that PBS would produce it but I give them credit for once.

I WWII, the media (press and newsreels) were pro-American, unlike today. In WWII, I don't think a US soldier would get a court marshal for shooting an enemy combattant in the back. All parties broke Geneva Conventions to some extent, especially the Japanese. American prisoners of war were brutally tortured and killed.

Of course, many of the gory details were kept secret until years after the war. They had a saying "loose lips sink ships".

Big damn deal-400 "Kamikaze" idiots ready to die.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
There is a lot of similarity. Both were originating from a religion (Shintoism) that was married to the State power. Once the appropriate "religious" people with no boundaries take the reins of power, they can unleash the other religious people under them to sacrifice everything for the good of the Religious goals (Emperor superiority in Shitoism).

The solution was to allow Shintoism as a personal belief but remove it from the sphere of State Power as was done in Japan after WWII.

Their business card should read, " Dying and killing since the 8th century ..licensed and insured".

The Tailors for Hamas must be working overtime.

Do you think they take pride in their work by stitching straight lines in the seams?

What about final adjustments for a proper fit, or is it just a little too risky at that point?

Watch the next Military Channel story about the Okinawa campaign. Watch the kamikaze pilots fly through every AA weapon the Navy could fire at them. Watch the kamikaze planes drop into the ocean or disintegrate in a deadly spiral.

Compare this to a Mohamedan who sneaks, disguised, into a school yard, a bus, or a shoping mall and pushes the button.

These Mohammedan killers are not kamikaze pilots; they cowards. Japanese soldiers, sailors, and airmen were not promised a heavenly carnal paradise when they died. I have heard American veterans give their grudging respect for the kamikaze pilot. I saw a very old Japanese veteran cry because the war ended and he did not get to fly his mission. He had lost face. I have nothing but hate for the baby killers from Mohammed.

Ibrahim Hooper @ CAIR loves to drag up the Japanese issue in America as if Muslims are a "Race" and falsely accused of a negative-bias towards the USA .

The real tragedy is that Japan started a crusade for Global donination to the 8 corners of the World in 1931 when they invaded Manchuria on September 18th , what a waste of good decent young men to fight a War because of three power-hungry mass murderers like Mousolini , Hiroheto and Hitler that each promised they citizens prosperity and rule over all other nations.

The official Documents for a meeting with Tojo and the Emporer make it clear that Tojo asserted he had 5000 Kami-Kazi pilots ready to halt any Naval landings and sink Carriers loaded with bombers and fighter planes , he then claimed he was willing to sacrifice 5'000'000 citizens strapped with bombs to charge the invaders on the beach , and finally ...Tojo said that every POW would be beheaded by a sword or bayoneted.

Hamas and CAIR claim to speak for the oppressed Palestinians but I bet you not one of those Martyrs is a Christian Palestinian that has suffered equally but doesn't desire to slaughter civilians for their God.

The West is sick of the decades of violence by soldiers for Allah that hide behind an "Alleged" oppression and occupation .
So when CAIR-Canada whined about Canada cutting off funding to Palestine when Hamas won the Election , they failed to see that Hitler was "Elected" and after 1939 any Democracy in the West had the Right to stop supporting Germany and the Nazis cause under the appeasement of Chamberlain.

The use of the word "kamikaze" by an Italian news service is not too surprising, considering the fact that one of Magdi Allam's books on Islamic terrorism is called "Kamikaze made in Europe". No other Italian journalist writes more about these matters, so it's understandable that he sets the terminological standards.

It is extreeeemely unlikely that the word "kamikaze" was spoken by Hamas. It was almost assuredly a figment of the reporter's imagination, a self-conscious attempt to deflect attention away from the suicide-belt-wearing, neck-smiting, wife-beating, "enraged" elephant in the room.

It is true that the comparison would be an insult to Japanese soldiers. It would be an even bigger insult to Allah if his "martyrs" were compared to the Japanese infidels in WWII. Hamas would never make that comparison, since they are the only Master Race, their Allah is the only true Allah, their religion is the only true religion.

1/2 of their fighting force are women? OK -- so that means that 1/2 of the Muslim men are cowards.

And it also reduces their ability to produce more future jihadist-junkies. What a shame.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 28, 2007 4:47 PM

The islamic terrorists are nihilists. They kill out of a political beef, not any real attempt to achieve any military victory. The Kamikaze on the other hand, was an honorable warrior using the last tool at his disposal, his airplane, or in a few cases, his manned torpedo, to defend his island from occupation by people he believed would enslave them or worse. The terrorists kill only to make a political point.

I would suggest that if America was under imminent threat of occupation from attacking forces, and islamic ships were steaming into NY harbor, and the only way of destroying such ships was by ramming them, most American pilots would do so. That is not suicide, that is giving your life for the defense of your country.

Terrorists attack defenseless targets, and for the most part, civilians. Kamikaze pilots attacked military ships in a theater of war. Completely legitimate and in fact, very effective. Had the Japanese employed that tactic from the very beginning, only the Bomb would have saved the day for the US.

I know one thing, I would never allow myself to be taken alive by an islamic enemy, or any enemy for that matter. As one man said to his two young sons in regard to this matter of creeping sharia in America, "Before you boys see your sister in a burka, both of you better be dead."

Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but I can understand full well that those pilots were thinking.

Me I like the name Kamikaze brings to mind an attack. And to get them before they get you.

the word Suicide attack makes you feel sorry in some weird way.

Maybe from the past but I think the Italians have this one right the last thing you want is your people to do is feel sorry for these monsters.

Posted by: Catherine [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 28, 2007 5:37 PM

400 kamikazes.

Is that the best they could do? It must be hard recruiting in the Strip these days. What's the going rate? Saddam is gone, so who is paying the purses out to the families of killers?

What sets a kamikaze apart from a run of the mill suicide bomber? Have they had flight training? Do they all drive cars?

400 sounds like a low number for a region that is ruled openly by HAMAS. Isn't the entire umma ready to do its bit? HAMAS might be losing its grip and so feels it necessary to ratchet up the volume?

I agree. I'm also glad that the author would use the term kamikaze as opposed to 'martyr' - what a Palestinian would use. It is an insult to the quoted Palestinian. Also, shaheed does not translate to an exact English equivalent of martyr and it has bastardized the meaning of the word.

I used to think of the term martyr meaning someone who has suffered great persecution, torture, pain, and death at the hands of another before submission or relinquishing one's beliefs - akin to Christ. It often sits beside another word, Saint - both words superlative. Personally, I wish that the media would never use the word again in the context of terrorism.

Kamikaze does have a bad connotation, it implies suicide and the last desperate strategy for a losing cause.

Suicide bombers, or whatever the name du jour happens to be is a misnomer. These creatures are murderers; because they carry the weapons on their backs is irrelevant. They are on the same level with Speck, Berkowits, Bundy, and all the other vile creatures who have slithered across the land.

Please don't glamorize these carbon based life forms by comparing them to Japanese soldiers in a bonzai charge, kamikaze pilots, or submariners.

Ok, first consider both the source and the historical pattern. Remember Muslim math 400 = 1 or 2. With as many scraps as the jihadi get themselves into they can’t even get 400 suicide killers a year in Iraq. This latest threat is wishful thinking not a plan a promise or even a warning. In poker it is called “a bluff”

Odd that this should come up at this time. I just finished rereading "A Glorious Way to Die" (Spurr, 1981) about the last voyage of the battleship "Yamato". I think that was the largest 'suicide boat' ever used- they failed totally and miserably in what they set out to do.
Many years ago I had the good fortune of meeting a torpedo-plane pilot who took part in sinking the Yamato. He said it was really exciting until the squadron dropped the torpedos and flew over the ship- then it was scarey as hell.

I agree with what you guys have already said: comparing these murdering Islamonazi's with the Japanese empire's 'divine wind' is a insult to the Japanese. I have no love at all for the Imperial Japenese and what they did- but they had a hell of a lot more honor than Mohommad's followers will ever have.
The question that's come to mind: how many Islamokazi murderers do we have waiting in the wings here on American soil? One is way too many-and I'll bet we've got a lot more than that.

Pray, Plan, and Prepare. Time could be very short.

FYI, the word "kamikaze" in Italian has come to mean suicidal or terrorist. "Una missione kamikaze" means a "terrorist mission" There is no intended connection to actual Japanese kamikaze.

Just trying to outdo the movie "300", more likely (which Mahmoud Asshatinijacket decried as "inaccurate" about Persia, lately).

A morbid ideology breeds the death wish.

Who would want to be alive in joyless Islam?

Suicide-murder is a release for them.

Four hundred "divine winds" and 50,000 combatants.

One has to like the odds of those Israeli "armed tanks"(as opposed to the unarmed ones?)along with Apache support. Then we can see what we always see when these self devouring, perennial losers get their assess handed to them: whining to the UN and U.S. to negotiate a solution to "stop the killing."

You know it's funny--I have a solution to airport slowdowns, and profiling, searching, scanning, etc.

Why shouldn't every commercial airplane carry a piglet? After the Captain introduces himself on the PA system, he could go on to say:"...and your pig for today's flight is Arnold Ziffel."

Posted by: Abscedere [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 30, 2007 12:50 AM

Interesting idea, abscedere -

giving the Air Marshals a pig as an offsider. Pigs are very smart and clean in their habits (will use a sandbox) and can be trained to sniff out suspicious items - there's an Israeli who's been training pigs to detect landmines, after all, the French use them to find truffles. So you get an explosives-detector AND psy-ops freaker-outer in one package. BTW - you REALLY don't want to tangle with an angry pig. Betcha a pig could be trained to 'Attack!' at the right signal from its trainer.

One could do the same thing with a dog - same psy-op effect (Muslims are disgusted by dogs), and dog can smell out sus materials, provide backup for marshal. A well-trained police dog, or two, would be very, very useful in the event of an attempted hijacking.

Since Islam hates pigs and dogs - let's give every air marshal a police-trained, war-trained pig, or dog. Big black guard dog in the flight cabin, lying peacefully on the floor next to the door...
