As always, for no controversial statement by a Muslim figure has ever been taken in context. "Omeish Says He's 'Victim of Smear Campaign,'" by Tim Craig and Joshua Zumbrun for the Washington Post:
Esam S. Omeish, the Muslim leader from Fairfax County who resigned from the state immigration commission after controversial remarks made on video surfaced, defended his remarks today and said he was the victim of a smear campaign.
"The smear campaign brings forward comments and speech excerpts which were taken out of context . . . and used to undermine a whole community of faith in a relentless campaign of Islamophobia intimidation," Omeish said in an 11 a.m. news conference.
Omeish submitted his resignation to Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) yesterday after video surfaced of one speech in which he referred to the "Israeli war machine" and another 38-second excerpt from a speech he made at a December 2000 rally in support of the "Jihad way."
"All these allegations revolve around obsolete historical associations, out of context statements wrapped in hateful, misleading insinuations by individuals who are bent on alienating and intimidating Muslim leaders and activists," Omeish said.
What about the Muslim Brotherhood, for which the Muslim American Society is a front? Are they making obsolete historical associations and taking things out of context?

Two things, every infidel needs to know:
1)Being a Muhammadan means never having to say you're sorry.
2) Islam means whatever a Muhammdan says it means.

Islamists invariably meet truthful statements about their inflammatory rhetoric with ad hominem attacks on the messenger. His statements are exactly what I would expect from a Muslim.

Far more damning than the video on YouTube are the two recorded encounters with Robert Spencer on the Laura Ingraham show. On the first, Omeish practices taqiyya -- that is "lying" to non-Muslims -- when he asserts that apostasy in Islam is not punishable by death. On the second, he says he looks forward to the imposition of Shari'a in the United States. If what that means is clearly understood, he wishes that you and I and even Governor Kaine, and all the non-Muslim members of that Commission on Immigration to which he was almost appointed, and all the non-Muslim doctors and nurses and orderlies in the hospital he works at, and all the non-Muslim patients he sees, to be relegated to the status of dhimmis, a status that for 1350 years has clearly meant, for those non-Muslims under Muslim rule, humiliation, degradation, and physical insecurity.
What could Omeish have possibly meant, when he said he favored Shari'a in America? How was he taken "out of context"? What else would a sensible and well-informed Infidel be expected to make of that remark?
Forget the video. Listen to the tapes.

"smear campaign...."
-- from Esam Omeish's description of the charges made against him
Please list the "smears" in this "smear campaign" which, you charge, is being conducted against you. Tell us exactly who charged what, and when, and where, and why such a charge is untrue, and therefore constitutes a "smear."
Start with Robert Spencer's description of you, on a show hosted by Laura Ingrahan, claiming that there is no capital punishment for apostasy in Islam. Then explain why, in a second appearance with Spencer on the same show, you claimed that Shari'a in the United States would be a Good Thing.
Explain. Take as much time as you need. But remember: those programs have been taped. They can be played on the air.

These types of denials worked wonders in the past, but in the youtube generation and the audio and video technology available to so many, this will not wash anymore.
That is why we must always encourage the Islamists to speak.

I would love to go for a compulsory 16 rounds in a boxing ring with Omeish.
If he then complains about my behaviour being threatening, I will complain that he taken all my punches "out of context".

"Esam S. Omeish, the Muslim leader from Fairfax County who resigned from the state immigration commission after controversial remarks made on video surfaced, defended his remarks today and said he was the victim of a smear campaign"....from headline.
Victim? Where have I heard THAT before. Muslims throughout history have been calling themselves victims F O R E V E R.
Even Ahmad's sci-fi-speech at Colunbia's University was overshadowed by VICTIMIZATION towards Muslims past/present, but not into the future -- not if Ahmad can help it!! Sorry Imavictim, I will not join your Pity Party!

If it is a 'smear campaign' then Omeish would have no problem setting the record straight, right?
Ok, Omeish....denounse everything that is claimed against you. Denounse jihad, Hezbollah, and Israels right to military defense.
It is cheap of Omeish to claim it was a 'smear campaign' and resign and then complain. If Omeish had principals he would have fought the fight and kept the position.
Muslims never like being 'outed', so they don't want to fight the fight in broad daylight. Omeish back into the burka for you.
The only 'obsolete historical association' being made is that Islam is a religion.

(PLEASE POST THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AT OTHER WEBSITES)
The Jihad Awareness Project (to wake up the U.S. Senate) currently has 95 volunteers in 42 states.
WE ARE STILL SEEKING ADDITIONAL CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FROM ALL 50 STATES, ESPECIALLY THE FOLLOWING 8:
Connecticut
Delaware
Mississippi
Montana
North Dakota
South Dakota
Vermont
West Virginia
THE PROJECT: We're looking for people in every state of the Union who would be willing to purchase, from Amazon or any other source, a copy of Robert Spencer's new book Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is And Islam Isn't and mail it, on an agreed upon date, to one of the senators in your state. We want to get the book simultaneously to all 100 senators, in order to send a strong message. If we get more than two people per state, books can also be sent to the U.S. House of Representatives.
If you'd like to participate (or you just have questions), please write to me at traehnam@yahoo.com under the subject heading "Senate," and tell me the state your senator represents, and a nickname. No need for your real name. And I will never share your email address with anyone, not even with other volunteers for this project.
And visit jihadawareness.blogspot.com to get more info on this project and to leave comments other volunteers can read. You can also see there the growing list of participants in this project, and the states their senators represent. I've also designed a graphic that might amuse. Scroll down when you get to the site.
Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.
Right before each of us mails the book, we’ll issue a press release to media outlets in as many states as possible, and in that way announce and explain the mailing. And perhaps we can come up with some other ways of maximizing the effectiveness of this project and gaining as much positive attention as possible.
One of the project's volunteers suggested contacting Rep. Sue Myrick, who started the Anti-Jihad Caucus in Congress. When we reach the goal of having all 100 senators covered, I'll call Rep. Myrick's office and see if she can help. I've called several congressional offices to get advice on how best to proceed.

Typical blame shifting and misdirection. This is all to keep the public from looking at what he said. If half of what he said were true (I am not saying it is) then why did he resign or not take the position. Surely it was for the good of Islam (scratch that) or the country.
Rom 3:13-18
Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their speech is filled with lies. The poison of a deadly snake drips from their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. They are quick to commit murder. Wherever they go, destruction and misery follow them. They do not know what true peace is. They have no fear of God to restrain them.

They never answer a question without the obligatory smear of others and then the playing of the victim card. They are like children and not very clever ones either. That is why I have stopped calling them the believers they are best described as the deceivers. They have been here less than thirty years and already they have rubbed dirt in the faces of every American, there is not one of us they haven’t smeared. So if this is how they behave now think about thirty years from now. Those who let these polar opposite people in to our republic are criminals of the worst kind. They have brought a situation upon us that will eventually resemble the Revolution (the guvment has turned king) the Civil war (check out foehammers islamists in the USA map) and WWII (islamocommie alliance) all put together. Imagine fighting all three of these wars at the same time, so we better get ready the fight has not yet begun. There is no time to rest, be tired later, put your frustrations on the back burner hunker down and prepare for the fight of our countries life.

Virtually every action and every word from the mouth of Islam is almost astonishingly ironic. Black is white, up is down, good is evil, love is hate...That this clown should even be considered for an Immigration Board is preposterous, that he should almost get on it is downright alarming, but that he should run to the press with a "smear campaign" victimization drill is pure Islam. They live in an alternate reality altogether. There is really no other way to defend them.
That this is about immigration is really priceless. They come to our country legally or illegally just as fast as they can get it in. They refuse to assimilate. They deride our culture and call our women whores. They send money back to terrorists who plot to kill us. They demand their own restrooms apart from the vile infidels already living here. They renounce our laws and openly propose a Total System Sh'aria Law that would overthrow the Constitution of the United States...
Coincidentally, not too many of them going back anytime soon, and not too many of us looking to go with them. Hmmm....

Champ:
O.J. came to my mind as well. With Islam it is like there is a little O.J. outrage every day. A guy standing there red-handed, blood on his hands, blood leading right back to his house, and he denies, denies, denies. And then we let him go free.
Today, I find that I am utterly at a lack of further disbelief. I'm sure it was discussed here a month or so ago, but I was just discovering today about the plans for the Flight 93 memorial in Pennsylvania. Friends, check it out, but for all of you who don't know, prepare yourself.
It is, for all intents and purposes, a mosque.
AND it is inclusive in honoring the four Islamic murderers who hijacked the plane.
http://www.crescentofbetrayal.com/
Thus far I have been focusing on Islam as the enemy. But I am awakening to the fact that the far greater enemy is right here, within.

As someone who is very familar with Fairfax County, VA, the last thing the county and the state needs is an "immigration commission" especially one with a Muslim member.

Just some more attempted face saving crap.
It's the Muslim Brotherhood. There is little too bad that one can say about anybody who belongs to it, upholds it. or countenances it.
As Hitler was to Martin Luther's racism and anti semitism, the Muslim Brotherhood is to the vilification and hatred of Christians and Jews in the Koran, Hadith, Sura.
Turn him over, he's done.

How odd that these same Muslims will cite a lone Verse from the Quran and not give the full context from the words before and after the claim of Pluralsim and Peace, or never seem to explain who qualifies as a "Innocent Civilian" under Jihad for Allah.

These Muslims say infidels misunderstand Islam, then when infidels hear a call to jihad on tape, in living color, infidels are still accused of misunderstanding.
I understand misunderstanding Islam is a misunderstanding.
Omeish smeared himself, captured on tape to boot.

I agree. Let's get it all out in the open. Let's see the evidence (video and audio tapes), and then let's hear Omeish's explanation that will put it all in its proper context.
Omeish was attempting to take a position in our government; doesn't he believe in the arbitration process? Doesn't he trust the people that he was going to represent to treat him fairly? Doesn't he have faith in our society's ability to resolve a simple misunderstanding?
Was there someone at his news conference who was stopping him from explaining the proper context for his statements? Were all the gathered reporters unwilling to listen to his explanation? Is he unable to mail a letter to the local newspaper explaining his statements? Can he not, like half the planet, explicate on his personal blog on the internet?
In a legal proceeding, a judge would never accept a "guilty" plea from a defendent who was complaining that he is actually innocent and was only forced to plead "guilty" under duress by a corrupt prosecutor working in concert with a biased judge. It would undermine the authority of the legal system itself. Think about what Omeish is saying. It is important to resolve who is being deceptive here, who is the corrupt and hateful one. Let's find out what really happened here, let's not sweep this episode under the rug like all the others. It matters.

That Adolf Hitler, he was taken out of context, until we wised up and realised he actually meant what he said.
Are Muslims pathological liars then, everything they say has to appreciated in the context in which it was said.
What about criticising Islam, perhaps we could, when challenge about our more intemperate remarks, claim it was out of context.
What about cutting someone's head off, is that out of context?
Why do we listen to these people, the only thing they can't do is tell the truth. They don't have, and probably never will have, the sense of what truth is.
Joy.

What Dr Omeish means by "obsolete historical associations" is that - like so many other Muslim-Americans in the 90s, he was still speaking his mind and associating with like-minded radicals before the 9-11 tragedy compelled him and the others to re-invent themselves as moderate, patriotic Americans.

I noted that the news avoided all mention of MAS's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
