Spencer in the Journal of International Security Affairs

My article "Somalia: Rise and Fall of an Islamist Regime" appears in the Fall 2007 issue of the Journal of International Security Affairs. Founded in 2001, The Journal is dedicated to shaping ideas and framing policy relating to the security of the United States and its allies abroad.

Robert - Are you allowed to make your article available outside of the Journal?
Since it's a subscription-Journal, now is probably inappropriate, but ... in the future?

What bugs me...
Why the hell others don't invite Robert to speak elsewhere as well...he knows how to cut to the chase, call a spade a spade, and do so in a healthy and concise way, so everyone can understand it.

@jcom972
Most of the MSM are lemmings and follow what the NYT publishes. This includes TV and radio as well as the net. I am convinced that this blindness is a result of our lack of spiritual insight over the years. The water in the pot is getting warmer and warmer yet no one thinks about the boil, soon to come. Maybe its all about global warming!

Because of peoples fear of religion (you can believe what you want but don't become a fanatic about it) we are at a loss on how to counter this Holy War. Religion in this country has no power and is dismissed out of hand. Notice how Ahmadinejad's remarks regarding his beliefs were quickly ignored by the MSM. They just don't want to have anything to do with faith, religion, God etc. Unless is it to show it in the most false and negative light they can. Relativism has undermined all sense of right or wrong, truth or lies, honor or immorality. So when a false system comes and makes blasphemes and lying statements (Islam) we are without any defense.

Rom 1:21
For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

الرومان 1/21
حتى وإن كانوا يعرفون الله ، فأنها لا شرف له او يشكرون الله ، لكنها اصبحت عقيمه في المضاربات ، وقلب الأحمق هو مظلم

You're in good company there, at the Journal of International Security Affairs, Robert. Congratulations. It is comforting to see you join other serious policy shapers.

Although attention is being paid to Africa, Latin America appears to be neglected. Left to its own devices (at least on the surface), Latin America, has one country after another not only being unfriendly to the United States but offering an opening for Islamic jihadist attack from our South. (See http://islamic-danger.blogspot.com/2007/10/trouble-from-south-latin-american.html).

With the condition of our borders (porous to be kind), U.S. vulnerability is increased. Jihadist bases to the South are contiguous with the U.S.
Neither our oceans nor our airline security can protect us from direct jihadist access via land from unfriendly foreign soil.
