"It shows how desperate they become to try to silence debate on campus"

Yes, it does. The Left and its jihad-sympathizer allies apparently will do anything but engage in a reasoned discussion with an opposing point of view.

"Anti-Muslim Fliers Cause Uproar: Posters May Be Intended to Mock Conservative Group," by Susan Kinzie for the Washington Post (thanks to all who sent this in):

Posters appeared all over the George Washington University campus yesterday morning blaring the message: "HATE MUSLIMS? SO DO WE!!!"

Campus police moved quickly to remove the fliers, university leaders began investigating how they got there and student groups met last night to deplore the posters, which had a photo of an Arab and description of "typical Muslim" features such as "suicide vest," "hidden AK-47" and "peg-leg for smuggling children and heroin."

The posters managed to upset just about everyone on campus: Muslim students, other religious groups and conservatives who are hosting "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" later this month. Some questioned whether they were mocking the conservatives, pointing to fine print at the bottom -- "Brought to you by Students for Conservativo-Fascism Awareness" -- and a postscript recommending a BBC video on the politics of fear.

[...]

Sergio Gor, a senior from Los Angeles who is the president of that group, said he was horrified when he heard about the fliers. "We did not put up those posters," he said. "Someone took our name and used it. It was hateful."

"We're a conservative group on campus," he said. "We promote liberty and freedom, not bigotry and hatred." Gor and others in the group, which has hosted such speakers on campus as Newt Gingrich and John Ashcroft, were to meet last night with the Muslim Students Association and Jewish student leaders to issue a joint statement.

The Young America's Foundation will host Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, an event organized by two national conservative groups. Gor said writer David Horowitz will speak, "The Path to 9/11," a TV mini-series, will be shown, and there will be a panel discussion featuring people who escaped the regime in Iran. "One gal got flogged 300 times for wearing nail polish," he said.

"It's a complete misunderstanding," he said. "I don't know how you can take that and turn it into, 'We hate Muslims.' We don't. We have Muslims involved in our organizations."

Patrick Coyle, vice president of the Young America's Foundation, which is based in Herndon and sponsors conservative speakers at campuses nationwide, said "it's clear when you look at the flier that this is an obvious attack from the left."

"It shows how desperate they become to try to silence debate on campus," he said. The video that the flier urges people to watch, "The Power of Nightmares," is an attack on the upcoming event, he said.

UPDATE: Charles at LGF reveals that a Muslim student distributed these posters as "satire."

Deception comes to mind when I read about this. And I would expect to hear of more incidents like this happening at any campus that has Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week event scheduled.
I see nothing but an attempt to color it as something that it's not, typical of the neo-commies.

An LGF reader emails some interesting information; this morning on the Washington DC Fox 5 news channel, a Muslim student actually admitted putting up the fake posters—it was satire, he said.

But this revelation is nowhere to be found in the MSM reports.

This is obviously the work either of Muslims or of their stoutest and most mindless supporters (including the irreducible minimum of antisemites who in the defense of Islam and often concomitant denunciation of Israel, have found the perfect way to express their mental pathologies, that would otherwise be recognized and shunned, in politically acceptable ways), determined to portray any criticism of Islam, but above all that of the well-informed and intelligent who cannot be answered, for their criticisms are too well-founded, too solidly based on the texts of Islam, the tenets of Islam, the behavior of Muslims over 1350 years, from Spain to East Asia, and the observable behavior of Muslims today, all across the globe, from southern Thailand to southern Sudan to, for that matter, southern England and southern France.

This forgery combines elements of that other famous forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, together with the premeditated setting of the Reichstag fire by Hitler's agents, designed to bring his stoutest enemies into disrepute.

Yes, a blend of political pyromania on behalf of the Nazis, and the forgeries of a French and then a Russian antisemite -- my, what a blend for the Defenders of the Faith to offer, to offer not only at George Washington University, butsoon enough, on campusses everywhere.

The real Fascists come to the surface...

With glee I have read that Robert will be visiting my Alma mater to speak. I will contact the Young Republicans there offering them any support my business could give them along with my congrats to their courageous stand and program.
After almost 40 years. it will be a great return.

You all seem to be familiar with the mentioned video. I was not and decided to check it out.

OMG, ROFLOL! The imagery in this video is priceless! They even used a segment from the 50's sci fi thriller "The Amazing Colossal Man" equating contemporary fears with the fictitious equivalent of the bogeyman. LOL!!! (let me catch my breath . . . LOL)

Here's a transcript from the first few moments of this film - for those who aren't familiar with this propaganda:

In the past, politicians promised to create a better world. They had different ways of achieving this, but their power and authority came from the optimistic visions they offered their people. Those dreams failed and today people have lost faith in ideologies. Increasingly, politicians are seen simply as managers of public life. But now they have discovered a new role that restores their power and authority. Instead of delivering dreams, politicians promise to protect us from nightmares (explosive flashes of images of bin Laden, Bush, Blair - dark sinister eyes exposed thru middle eastern style head coverings pan back to expose dark skinned individual wearing camo fatigues )
They say they will save us from dreadful dangers that we cannot see and (mime puts finger to shhhhshing mouth) cannot understand. And the greatest danger of all is international terrorism. A powerful and sinister network of sleeper cells in countries across the world, a threat that needs to be fought by a war on terror. But much of this threat is a fantasy which has been exaggerated and distorted by politicians. It's a dark elusion that has spread unquestioned through governments around the world, security services and the international media. This is a series of how and why that fantasy was created and who it benefits. At the heart of this story are two groups. The American neo-conservatives (photo of Rumsfeld) and the radical Islamists (group photo including bin Laden and al-Zawahiri with two unknowns). Both were idealists who were born out of the failure of the liberal dream to build a better world. And both had a very similar explanation of what caused that failure. These two groups have changed the world, but not in the way that either intended. Together they created today's nightmare vision of a secret organized evil that threatens the world. A fantasy of politicians have found restored their power and authority in a disillusioned age. And those with the darkest fears (images of Bush and Blair) became the most powerful.

This was a BBC production . . .hysterical!!!They use that to counter Horowitz' effort? LOL! Un - ef'n - believable!!!

Surely the power of the mere THOUGHT that muslims protesting (read: Burning ,killing and raping)over such posters couldn't have been in the works to end such an event.

We all know how much islam is a religion of peace....right? Save for those "few extremists" that all the truly peaceful muslims keep away from University Campuses, not to mention thier mosques and centers.

RIGHT?

Sattire??? Islam is allowed to use sattire? Oh yea they can use anything to the furtherment of islam.

One wonders what sort of punishment this student will recieve for his decietfulness and fraud?

If it were Infedels who used this tactic, and thats all it is,they would be facing expulsion for insulting islam and muslims.

Understanding of Islam should not be limited to members of the Young Republicans. Young Democrats, Young Environmentalists, Young Muggletonians and Mugwumps, Young Any-Damn-Thing-You-Want, should be equally interested in finding out about that apparently quite impenetrable and mysterious thing called Islam.

Muslims claim that only they, or non-Muslims carefully approved by them (John Esposito is welcome, Michael Sells is welcome, Yvonne Haddad is welcome, John Voll is welcome, Carl Ernst is welcome, Richard Bulliett is welcome, and Karen Armstrong is especially welcome), sure to toe the party line, can possibly tell the truth about Islam. Because you "have to know Arabic" (oops, 80% of the world's Muslims do not know Arabic), or because you "can't take a passage out of context" (which is why Robert Spencer has repeatedly put that favorite Qur'anic quote 5.32, together with its indispensable gloss of 5.33), or "it's all a question of interpretation" (Really? Nearly a thousand years have passed since the gates of ijtihad swung shut with a thud of finality, and no further interpretive re-visiting has been permitted by the ulema since, and yet we are assured "it's all a question of interpretation"?), and "you don't understand how to interpret the Qur'an (perhaps not, which is why we rely on what the Islamic schnolars themselves tell Muslims what the Qur'anic passages mean, what the stories of the Hadith mean, and also consult the great Western scholars of Islam, such as Schacht and Lammens and Noldeke and Goldziher and Snouck Hurgronje and Wajda and Fagnan and hundreds of others -- not one of whom appears to be on the reading lists, these days, of courses taught by the Muslim and non-Muslim members of MESA Nostra. It is as if the Great Age of Western scholarship about Islam -- of all those Germans, and Dutch, and French, and English, and Americans, and Italians, and Spanish, and Russians, with the odd Bulgarian and Greek and Rumanian and Swede thrown in, had never ever existed.

Learning about Islam, finding out about its texts and tenets and attitudes, finding out what the word "dhimmi" means, and the word "Jizyah," and the word "taqiyya" and the word "kitman" and the word "shirk" and the word "bida" and the word -- oh, won't you fill out the rest of the list for me, this time-travelling can be exhausting -- yes, please do.

But you get my drift, and my driftwood. It was not only Young Republicans, or "conservatives," who opposed the Nazis and the Communists. Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Ibn Warraq and the late Pim Fortuyn and the late Theo van Gogh and Wafa Sultan and the late Oriana Fallaci could not be described with the word "conservative" as that word is now often used, or misused, in the United States. They are or were, all of them, atheists. None of them, as far as I know, could be described accurately as a free-market fundamentalist. Their other views might not be exactly be those endorsed by My Weekly Standard or National Review. But their intelligent and piercing and relentless criticism of Islam still stands, still is having, and will continue to have, its effect.

Don't narrow the potential appeal. Seek everywhere to widen it. Make a deliberate appeal to everyone who sees, or can be made to see, can be made to find out for himself, the special threat, a permanent threat, to all non-Muslims, and not merely "women" or "homosexuals" or "Hindus" or "Jews" or "blacks in the Sudan" or any other subset, racial or sexual or name-your-other-or-Other, but to all who are non-Muslim.

This is what we all have to deal with in this fight.

anyone who disagrees with the extreme left wing are tarnished with these slogans.

welcome to hitler's "spiritual terror", alive and well in the 21st century.

anyone now who stands up against islamic jihadism will be called everything. we need to counter this with our own "spiritual terror", let's start with this.

90 million civilians have been exterminated by communism. soviet and mao communists plus over a million in SE asia in the 1970's. yet many members of the UK's gordon brown's labour party were card carrying members of the communist party. Reid being one of them.

the extreme left are made up of members from socialist workers party and many extreme left wing trade unions who work closely with the "back benchers" in the UK, Tony Benn another extreme left winger. they all have blood on their hands, and sympathise with the communist model of a one world extreme left government.

Saw Horowitz on C-SPAN the other night.

He said more or less that to the left, politics is war conducted by other means. Questions of reason, truth and such are simply irrelevant to them.

And they have to be dealt with accordingly.

I must, in fairness, say that when I use the term left, I am not trying to condemn every reasonable person in the world who leans in some degree toward democratic or even socialist ideas. But it has to be faced that the most committed, and loudest, members of the left, the communist parties etc... seem all to be in cahoots with the jihaddis.

And their methods are reprehensible.

Of course Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is going to stir up the moonbats on college campuses in a couple of weeks. They don't cotton to anything that upsets their Kumbaya Multicultural Marxist/All of the Evil comes from America and Its Secret Agents view of the world. We have to realize that on these campuses the Young Conservatives are always viewed as stiff, white, upper-middle-class MBA students and are therefore guilty of the biggest crime of all--being "squares."

But they will find out an altogether different kind of truth when they hear from atheist ex-Muslim women like Ayaan Ali Hirsi, from Jews, Christians, American women protesting Women's Studies departments for their virtual "No Comment" reaction to the treatment of women under the boot of Islam. They'll find that this is a group that comes from a broad sector of society, is extremely passionate and eloquent, and most importantly possesses deep pools of knowledge on the subject upon which they speak--that of the real nature of Islam and its threat to freedom loving peoples everywhere.

Well, it stands to reason they would try to silence scrutiny...after all...
-They've had a power & control racket for nearly 1,400 years with little effective opposition.

-their invasion plans are being taken strongly to task

One would think they, with a LOT more to hide than just "islamofascism"...and for people who should be confident that their belief system is sound and beyond reproach would welcome any scrutiny-after all,
-truth stands on its own merit, right?
-God can easily withstand any scrutiny, right?

So why would they act like those in danger of being exposed for something? HMMMMmmmmm?
Is their position so baseless, so without foundation that it cannot withstand simple scrutiny? (rhetorical question as I already know the answer)

If this is how hypersensitive they get over just one segment of scrutiny ("islamofascism"), makes me wonder how violent they'd get if us HARDCORE scrutinizers blasted exposure all over when we go for the jugular? LIKE SO...
http://www.davidstuff.com/historical/mecca.htm

So, what's it gonna be fibby-ham hoopty?
Islamofascism awareness week?
Or "MYTH OF MECCA" awareness week?
(They are scared SH*TLESS of Jack Wheeler, for good reason-he's RIGHT)

I think Islamofascist Awareness Week is cutting the islamists a LOT of slack-FAR more than they deserve. At least they have SOME chance to save face this way.

So, they have one choice...
pay the piper now?
or pay the devil later?

That's what's at stake...if we win, the racketeers lose EVERYTHING, and face the wrath of their own soon-to-be-former followers...and they know it-so do we.

I live near Annapolis, Maryland. I was in my car right before 5:00 PM, and heard a description of the posters on "All things Considered", NPR's news show on 88.5 FM in D.C. The NPR folks sounded real concerned, and interviewed a young muslima who was quite disturbed that her "beautiful faith" had been slandered. The Goebbels wannabes at NPR made it sound as if there was no possibility that the posters were not authentic. If any of you guys still donate to NPR, kindly stop. You can still listen for free - kinda' like "steal this book".

Are there any moves afoot to organise similar events for universities in - Australia? Canada? New Zealand/ Aotearoa? England Scotland Ireland Wales? FRANCE? All non-Muslim universities in India? RUSSIA?

I currently live in the same town as the university from which I gained my first degree, more than twenty years ago. My eldest son will begin his first year of tertiary study, next year.

If I knew that a 'Defend Freedom of Speech, Defend Freedom of Thought, Defend Freedom of Religion, Defend Human Rights' protest/ awareness-raising event, focusing on how Islam-on-the-ground, in EVERY SINGLE majority-Muslim country in the world, attacks and destroys those freedoms, and how it has destroyed, and to this very day still destroys, the human rights of women and non-Muslims, were going to happen on the campus of my alma mater, and/ or on the campus that my son will likely be frequenting - I WOULD BE THERE.

Incidents like this one at GWU also reflect just how much contempt the leftists have for the American people themselves. Didn't these people know we would figure out who was responsible for these forgings?

This sort of contempt for the intelligence of Americans smacks of anti-Americanism to me.

Very often we are told by (and also about) terrorists and anti-Americanists that acts of anti-Americanism and terrorism against American people are about US "foreign policy," or the US government, or "American imperialism" -ad nauseum- and not about the American people.

But as we see here. That is clearly false. Anti-Americanism IS and always HAS BEEN about the American people. There is simply no other way to construe anti-American jihad assistance from the leftists except as pure anti-Americanism on the part of the left. And nowhere does that come through more clearly in the left's dispensing woth ethics in order to advance its ideology as here.

Undermining attempts to educate Americans about jihad benefits jihadists.

So--why exactly WOULD the left assist jihadist infiltration into America, except to destroy America and impose an ideological state here. There just is no other believable motive for this sort of conduct. (Personally I suspect the hand of the International Solidarity Movement, which as a peculiar construct of the left and al-Qaeda, may have had something to do with this particular incident at GWU--but, we'll see).

It makes absloutely NO DIFFERENCE who ELSE does these sorts of things (which is how the leftists are going to try to evade all (and entirely justified) blame aimed at them). The fact is the left itself DOES these things and therefore can NOT claim the moral high ground over the American people (which it has been screaming it has since forever).

One further musing: the left in the USA may well be slitting its own throat by assisting jihadists here-- as has happened in Russia already. It is only a matter of time before the Islamist movement makes moves against the leftists who politically empowered them and the jihadist cause. The leftists still haven't figured out evidently that they, too, are "unbelievers" according to Islamic doctrine and may be executed accordingly.

Posted by: pythagoras [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 9, 2007 9:23 PM

The Left is not synonomous with the Democratic party or rank and file Democrats in general. The Left as constituted is generally composed of upper middle-class folks(average income $70k a year) with Ivy league educations.

Think of them as the polar opposites of Bernie Goldberg and his ilk.

These people are not your average factory worker. In fact most Leftists care nothing for ordinary Americans at all. They have their agenda and thats what matters.

Here's what they think of people like Spencer who question Islam. The following is a link to a smear of Glenn Beck who is asking questions about Islam.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/10/9/153823/113

Not very pleasant is it?

You can't reach Leftists like those, but you can reach out to ordinary working class Democrats as those folks are more grounded in reality. So please don't lump them all together because they are not the same.

Just stay away from the over educated lefties and yuppie types, they are poison.

If one wished to speak in the language of J K Rowlings - the Death Eaters are already within the walls of Hogwarts.

There is good reason why the climactic battles of book seven of Rowlings' saga take place at Hogwarts; indeed, in the chapter 'the battle of Hogwarts', one sees the entire castle coming to life and rising up in arms against the Death Eaters; a herd of galloping desks charges into battle. Rowlings is showing us that THE battlefield is the mind, the intellect and the imagination, the house of Mansoul. Naturally, the school is roused and led by a woman, MINERVA Macgonagall, head of the House founded by Godric Griffindor (Crusader name, if ever I heard one).

Much in Rowlings' story is clearly inspired, of course, by the last great battle, against the Nazis; but her tale also provides a fair analogy for the struggle we now face for the survival of what Naipaul calls 'the universal civilisation', against That Which May Not Be Named and its real-life Death Eaters.

For Hogwarts in Rowlings' world - a sprawling castle on a mountain, between lake and forest and town, a vast untidy collective enterprise still being added to generation by generation, all dungeons and towers and attics, stuffed with ghosts, coats of armour, portraits, gargoyles, statues, books, presided over by heraldic beasts, eagle of Ravenclaw, lion of Griffindor, humble badger of Hufflepuff, and, yes, perpetual risk, the subtle snake of Slytherin that nevertheless twines around the caduceus - corresponds, splendidly, comically, to the real-life school, College, or University, as we have known them in Western civilisation.

Not by chance is it entered, in the seventh novel, by a secret passage opening from a portrait in...a bar-room in a pub! The University and the Tavern: inseparable companions in the West, since the time of Abelard. The Muslim world has had its 'universities' - still has, though Islam smothers the mind and so they never were, and could never be, what the University has been for us - but it could never have the tavern.

Unless in this eleventh hour the real counterparts of 'Hogwarts', across America and Britain and Europe and wherever, rise up and defy That Which May Not Be Named, we are lost.

I hope Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week surprises everyone.

Today the Democratic party IS part and parcel of the Islamic-Communist subversion of America. The people who control it have betrayed us all (for monetary gain).

By the way, I have no idea what Bush thinks he's doing but I personally don't know any Republicans who approve of his coddling Muslims and Islamic oprganizations in the US (he better knock it off before he ends up in a padded cell)--he's making the Republicans look bad for no good reason at all (and at a very precarious time too).

The Democrats even have an Islamic Presidential candidate (Obama who has been proven to be a practicing Muslim). Enough said.

I will quite probably never vote Democratic again! At this point I am sorry I ever heard of them.

Hillary scares me to death. She will turn us into Europe with her socialism and her demagoguery. She would be the kiss of death for America.

That's why we have to vote against her, and to hell with personal inclination.

Whoever wins the Republican nomination has to defeat Hillary. Anyone who is concerned about Islamofascism and Euro socialism (and they are intertwined!) should not split the conservative vote!

And no, Rudy is not just like Hillary. Rudy is not socialist. He's a low taxes and small government leader. I think he will win the nomination, and as much as I don't like his warts (2nd Amendment meddler, social liberal) I also think that he is the only one who can beat Hillary.

If there is an al-Qaeda sponsored coup d'etat in America (I predict it WILL happen BTW), Hitlery Clitman, it is speculated, would react by throwing on a burka.

No. We can't have that (or a western European 'EU-topia' here, either).

But Rudy's problem has been that he has been pro-amnesty for illegal aliens. And, that's no good either (it makes one wonder what his IQ is).

But I will take just about ANYTHING over Hitlery Clitman....

pythagoras,

I vehemently disagree with your assertion that Giuliani is, or was, "pro-amnesty".

He was the mayor of the LARGEST city in the entire world. Being a lifelong NY state citizen and a worker in NYC for the part 15 years or so, Prior to 9/11, his positions on illegal immigration and gun control made absolute logical sense at the time.

Pro-amnesty? Based on what congressional vote? I am unaware of a position in congress that he held after his tenure as NYC mayor?

Do you care to enlighten me on the specifics?

If it comes to between Hillary and Rudy (one pseudo NYer and one true NYer), who would you choose?

Any any third party vote is a vote for Hillary.

It appears tgusa needs a recent history lesson. This is not intended as a slight, for I personally have much respect for tgusa, especially for his valuable contributions here at JW.

That being said, I believe he is from the west coast, California, if I remember correctly. I could engage in ad hominem banter and state that all Californians are "flakes", and probably not be disproven.

I will not however, make completely unfounded statements like Californians never become President, for obvious reasons.

Choose your candidates wisely in 2008. I already have chosen mine.

By the way, tgusa had some kind words for me and my daughter on her second birthday not too long ago, so I must be specific...This is not personal, but rather, strictly business.

Last note tgusa, Pete King is my persoanl 3rd district congressional representative. Who is yours?

tgusa,

This is a gift from me to you:

LOL, it certainly wasn't my intention to inflict grief upon you, but I am afraid that may be what we will face on election day, and I'm already rationalizing why I'm going to vote for Rudy.

Sigh.

BTW,

Hillary would be worse regarding gun rights. Rudy will leave gun rights up to the states. And that's fine by me.

I can't believe anyone with an ounce of true American Blood would ever entertain the thought of voting for that communist witch, Hitlery. Heck, if it came down to it, I would cast my lot with Satan himself rather than vote for her.

This is reminiscent of the Danish cartoon "outrage" where a group of Imams actually created their own additional Mohammed cartoons and told muslims around the world that they had been created by the Dutch.

You see we miss the point. They constantly rant on about the fact that they only use violence in defence of their "religion". When there is nothing to defend they create an offence to justify the ensuing violence. Deceit seems to be built into this "religion". Hitler did the same thing with the burning of the reichstaag.

How deft the Muslim parasite! By shoe-horning the words of this poster into the tried and true shibboleth of "political satire" they wish to protect their deliberate and vile double cross under the protection of "free speech" -- and it will work.

Already, despite the facts, Muslim students and their abettors on campus are claiming that this poster shows that Islam and the poor Muslims are "under attack", and that this constitutes a "hate crime". Nevermind that Muslims were behind it -- The capacity for shirking responsibility among Muslims truly knows no limits, and is unprecedented in human history.

The exact same thing immediately after 9/11 is what sent all my red flags up. Within days of that atrocity, Muslims were seen far and wide, in the press, on the TV, claiming that THEY were the victims of 9/11 -- nevermind that Muslims perpetrated the deed, nevermind that those same Muslims were truly devout, even fanatical followers of the letter of Islam -- nevermind that they used quotes from the Koran and were guided by high priests within Islam, and were following the life of their execrable "prophet" Muhammad... On Islamic grounds, Muslims sent nearly 3,000 innocents to the fiery and horrific deaths, and the Muslims showed up within days claiming they were the victims.

Muslims have revealed thow adept they are at parasitizing other arrows from the "free speech" and "civil rights" quiver. They will exploit our "freedom of religion" laws to expand their totalitarian "religion" in our lands -- if followed to its logical conclusion, and if they aren't stopped -- then America too will look like every other Islamic cesspool on earth. No freedom of thought, no freedom of conscience, and certainly no freedom of speech or religion.

They are here to wipe out everything we hold dear -- and we are castigated if we say we hate them, or hate their so-called "religion". Yet I freely state here that I hate Islam. I abhor it. I abhor the way it reduces the human soul to slavery. I abhor the way it uses the worst traits in human beings to secure its evil grip in those areas where it has taken hold -- I deplore the way Muslims victimize people on behalf of Islam, and then twist their crimes against others into trumped up attacks upon themselves. I hate all of it. And because of their endless treacheries, I hate the way Muslims will force our hand to retaliate against them in kind in order to survive their treason, or else succumb to the venomous 'religion' which they practice.

FYI: New York City is NOT the biggest city in the world. It is exceeded in population by at least two other cities (Mexico City and Tokyo). Los Angeles metropolitan area is now at about 18 million and may have also surpassed New York City by population.

I really don't care about your disagreements with me. The population of illegal aliens today is estimated to be about 38,000,000!

As far as Giuliani being too lenient on illegal immigrants he's never taken a stand against illegal immigration into the US. Nor did he do anything to stem the tsunami of illegals into New York

Nearly all US politicians on the left and right have backed amnesty for illegal aliens (It's not a leftist cause--REAGAN gave amnesty to illegals too).
