Suspected jihadists detained in Lebanon

Now, UNFIL and the terms of last year's ceasefire have been pretty good for Hizballah and other jihadist groups in the region. So it will be interesting to learn the rationale for attacking here (though, as always, infidel troops are infidel troops). "Suspected terrorists detained in Lebanon," from the Associated Press:

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Lebanese military intelligence officials have detained members of a suspected "terrorist network" for plotting attacks against U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, the army said Monday.
The group had planted a bomb near the southern city of Tyre in an attempt to target a U.N. patrol, but it did not explode because of a problem with the trigger, the army said in a statement.
The suspects also admitted they planned to plant two other bombs in the area and detonate them within a short period "in order to cause maximum casualties among the forces," the statement said.
Two bombs were confiscated and several detainees were referred to judicial authorities, the statement said.
Officials did not say how many people were detained but added they included foreigners.
There have been two attacks against U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon in recent months.
In June, a U.N. armored personnel carrier was struck by a bomb, killing six Spanish peacekeepers in the first such attack against the U.N. force. A month later, a roadside bomb exploded near a U.N. jeep in the village of Qassimiyeh, causing damage but no casualties.

Makes me wonder what would happen if no more infidels were alive to kill.

My first reaction was - wow, they finally did something and it was for the UN instead of for the Israelis that Hezbollah lobs bombs into daily, or even their own people! Gee, whoopee. (please note sarcasm)

But, then I thought a little more and thought - well maybe they are 'starting' to do something - FINALLY! Lebanon's military, and every other system, has taken a back seat to most muslim violence for so long it is surprising. Israel at one point actually tried to train them to fight the growing muslim violence in their own nation - and that seemed to do nothing to stop the muslims from keep doing their usual thing - violence.

I don't know - I will just keep my ears open to see if Lebanon is actually stepping up to its duty to protect its own people against the muslim violence that seeped in with the increase of muslim population, via their uncontrolled births and immigration, in the past several decades.

From the article:

"Foreigners". Oh pray do tell. From which one of our Staunch Allies (tm) did these terrorists originate? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? Egypt? Afghanistan? Inquiring minds, and all that.

"Two bombs were confiscated"

- from the article

After the suspected terrorists had "a problem with the trigger" mechanism?

What? the UN targeted by these peaceful loving people that they have been helping to re-build their defenses and restocking their weapons by turning a blind eye to it?

No way?.....it has to be a plot by the Israelis....just watch.

Just once (just once!) it would be refreshing if I entered this site and read something like:

"Muslims clerygeman Start Mosque Programs to Reduce the Influence of Terror-imans"

or

"Muslim Leaders Give to the MI5 a list of 50 Names of Imans Who Have Been Found Preaching Hatred Against the Non-Muslims"

When will something good actually come from Islamo-fascism?

I remember a couple of years ago there was a bloody terrorist attack on an Israeli kibbutz, and one pundit said that it was essentially an attack on Peace Now. And there was the horrific bombing at Hebrew U, the same idea.
The moral of the story: The only good Infidel is a dead one (though a jizya-paying dhimmi will do in the meantime).

R_not:

Perhaps you've forgotten, but the jihaddists hate the generally dhimmified UN too, because it acted on behalf of the Christian East Timorese against the Muslim Indonesians. That was the justification for blowing the UN presence in Iraq to kingdom come after the overthrow of Saddam.

Life in the Kill Zone.

Good thing someone is looking out for UNIFL. Unlike how UNIFL is looking out for Israel.

These Modern Day Crusaders lack much when compaired to their Ancestors.

Can someone explain to me how all these middle east countries get terrorists to admit (cough, choke...confess) details of all these plots that fail? They wouldn't use torture now would they?

I know exactly how you feel, when is the "Religion of Peace" going to actually do something peaceful or worthwhile for humanity? All I ever see or hear is gloom and doom all around the world from this cult. All the while creeping into our society trying to eat away at our very way of life. I feel like this is a bad episode of Star Trek where the Borg are takin over...RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!

There must be some way to stop this nonsense.
