The New York (aka New Duranty) Times reads Jihad Watch. A note from another Jihad Watch reader, Paul:

The story omits altogether the revelation by Rusty Shackleford that the Times’ earlier report revealing Khan’s identity compromised an ongoing investigation into his activities:

Pursuant to which, Shackleford notes, “I was specifically asked by more than one FBI agent, and on more than one occasion, not to publicly identify Inshallahshaheed as Samir Khan.”
The Times quoted me from this Jihad Watch post, referring to their interviewing a North Carolina jihadist whom law enforcement officials seem unwilling or unable to do anything about.

Now now we should be fair.
EVERYBODY knows The New York Times, after all, is right up there with the National Enquirer in terms of respectibilty and the maintaining of high journalistic standards.

Hmm, looks like I was wrong about Dr. Shackleford. I thought he was just whining when he complained that the NYT identified Inshallahshitheed. But he did contact the Feds about him. Isn't there something the NYT can be charged with. The Feds went after Judith Miller during the whole Plame fiasco, so why not now?

good point comet...then again, hate/hit pieces calling others "hate" filled turned off their audience (but they'll never admit to that fact)...
Then again, it's probably another "investigative project" (one of many they're targeti...errr, doing) like they're doing on Matt Drudge, too...no doubt at the behest of the puppetmasters:

Although I have neer been fond of the New York Times, I now like it even LESS.
It is conceivable that I will never read another New York Times article about anything, as I plan a permenent boycott of this newspaper. May the rest of America follow.

Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Morgan Stanley, the second-biggest shareholder in New York Times Co., sold its entire 7.3 percent stake today, according to a person briefed on the transaction, sending the stock to its lowest in more than 10 years.
The person declined to be identified because Morgan Stanley hasn't made the sale public yet. Traders with knowledge of the transaction said Merrill Lynch & Co. brokered a $183 million block trade of 10 million New York Times shares this morning.

I used to write letters to the editor to the NYTimes, but I after a while, I just couldn't take their attitudes. Their editors must live in a bubble. The paper has a sanitized take on reality, as if anything stronger than the most wan and highly qualified intellectualizations are unseemly.
What I really hated was reading Anthony Lewis op-eds all those years. Talk about the epitome of the naive, ivory tower Islamic apologist! That guy is a sort of anti-matter version of Hugh Fitzgerald. I think if the two ever met there'd be a a nuclear flash.

Well, I dunno...
but after several scandals, especially fraud reports, hit pieces masquerading as objective jounralism...that was bad enough...
...but after this week, namely
The Nation honored Mike Murphy, recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, today, known well in advance, and despite the fact he's from Long Island, NY...where'd the NYT mention him?
Not on the front page (like most honorable media would)...but the METRO section!
May as well have been the proverbial "PAGE 6" (where all the "other stuff" normally goes).
That's about as big an insult as one can imagine, may as well have spit in the family's faces, not that I'd have put it past them anyway, since it doesn't fit the agenda they've demonstrated for some time now...beyond despicable.
Same bunch puts anything derogatory to US interests on page ONE, especially if it's details of military operations, personnel, locales, and supplies-just enough to tip off the enemy as to details they need to conduct attacks against us, then feign ignorace, if not outright disingenuous "freedom of the press!" BS (MSM is known to be the enemy's best intel source, and they know it)...and then wonders why people take them to task for double-standards, then try lecturing US for daring to question their patriotism, JUST LIKE I'M DOING RIGHT NOW, not that there's ANY question, since they have NONE-we already know where their allegiance lay, and it's not with America (read that as NORMAL America, not that pahblum puking politically correct BS they wish America was, but is not)...hence, AIDING ANS ABETTING THE ENEMY.
With friends like those, we don't NEED enemies, and my contempt for such hypocritical pahblum puking propaganda ministries masquerading as *ahem* "media" is now unlimited.
Here's to Mike. I salute him-no matter what these UNAMERICAN scumbags think.
