German al-Qaeda suspect arrested in Turkey

So, what is it that we're to believe set "Attila S." off? Unemployment? Foreign policy? Boredom? "German Al Qaeda suspect arrested in Turkey," from Reuters:

ISTANBUL - A German citizen has been arrested in Turkey on suspicion of planning attacks in Germany as part of an Al Qaeda cell, Turkish police said on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Germany’s Federal Prosecutor’s Office said they were requesting the extradition of the man, who was arrested in the central Turkish city of Konya.
Turkish state news agency Anatolian said earlier that Konya police were coordinating an investigation into a 22-year-old man with Interpol. Anatolian said he was a German citizen and named him as Attila S.
The arrest follows the arrests of three German citizens in Germany in September. Police accused them of planning bombings across Germany with explosives equal to the force of 550 kilos of TNT.
German police said the three suspects, two German converts to Islam and an ethnic Turk, had given them the names of up to 50 suspected Islamic militants.
The head of Germany’s BKA federal police, Joerg Ziercke, told Koelner Stadt Anzeiger newspaper earlier this week that the suspected Islamic militants had trained in Pakistan and returned to Germany to carry out attacks.

If Attila is his real first name (I would say, Christian name, but I don't think that applies here), this German citizen would probably be of Eastern European or Turkish background. The name is popular in Eastern Europe and Turkey. At any rate, if that is his real name, maybe that set him off. It probably is his real name, because it's hard to imagine officials coming up with Attila S. as a generic John Doe-type pseudonym. Can you imagine going through life in Germany or anywhere in the West being known as Attila?

Depending on how long he was in Germany - probably all his life or close to it considering Germany's restrictive laws for naturalization - you can just imagine the kids in school taunting him. Childhood teasing, maladjusted kid - with the delayed adolescence of today's youngsters, 22 is still a teenager. So it's just a youthful rebellion a la Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, only this time it's the Koran he clothes himself in instead of a trench coat.

Seriously, though, if Turkey arrests him and Germany wants to extradite him, he must be a true committed jihadi. They come in all stripes. The only common denominator is Islam.

Jihadi terrorists and extremists swim in a Muslim ocean. The trouble with Islam is its violent underpinnings, history, and traditions. Far too many Muslims, if not open participants in jihad, institutionalized cosmic war, are its facilitators and enablers; many more are passive bystanders, fence-sitters, and sideline spectators. Regressive socio-political Islamicism advances on a Muslim tide, and jihad is the crest of a breaking wave.

Jihad as quiytal [sic]--as armed combat--is the crest of a breaking wave; the wave itself being jihad in its broadest meaning.

....no doubt, the result of proper interrogation techniques....

The offering of islam for these retards is basically a license to kill.

Way to go islam, aint you proud of these adherents ?

Unfortunately the answer is often, they are.

Unfortunately their leftist enablers in the West are unwilling to look into their face out of fear or even darker motives.

So we got jihadis on one side and leftist enablers on the other, and here we are in the middle.

Not stuck.

Grateful.

The target supply is so rich.

Re: Anatolian said he was a German citizen and named him as Attila S.

Attila S. might be related to the Ed(ina)-209 Lakovic. I knew a Hungarian guy (computer whiz) named Atilla. (Atilla-the-Hungarian was not a Muslim. His family was Christian.) However, lots of Muslims in the Balkans and Eastern Europe were Nazi collaborators in WW2.

Say hello to Ed-209...
