An update on this story. "3 to be tried; US says men aided militants," from the Boston Globe:
Three former leaders of a defunct Boston-based Islamic charity are scheduled to go on trial today in federal court, accused of lying to the government to win tax-exempt status for the charity and then using the nonprofit to distribute publications promoting jihad and to support Muslim militants overseas.
In what is believed to be the first criminal trial in US District Court in Boston that will explore the role of US charities in financing terrorism, Emadeddin Muntasser, Muhamed Mubayyid, and Samir Al-Monla are charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, tax violations, and making false statements.

Potential jurors will be told that Muntasser, 42, of Braintree, was born in Libya; that Mubayyid, 42, of Shrewsbury, is a native of Lebanon; and that Monla, 50, of Boston, was born in Kuwait and is a US citizen.
The government alleges that in the early 1990s, the three men were involved in operating the Boston branch of Al-Kifah Refugee Center - which supported Muslims engaged in violent, religiously based military conflict overseas - and published a pro-jihad newsletter called Al-Hussam, Arabic for The Sword.

Muntasser, owner of the Logan Furniture Co., is also accused of making false statements to the FBI by denying that he had traveled to Afghanistan in the mid-1990s.

After the hung-jury at the Holy Land Foundation's trial, I'm not too optimistic about this trial. Let's hope the jury is familiar with JW/DW.

Denmark: Muslim Tortures Woman For "Being Christian"

This is the shed where the woman was held captive and tortured
A 19 year old woman managed Sunday evening to escape from her torturer, a Danish citizen of Lebanese background.
She had been held captive for 9 days in a shed in the Sydhavnen district of Copenhagen where she had been beaten with an electric cable and subjected to other acts of violence by her boyfriend, a 19 year old Danish citizen from Lebanon. Sunday afternoon she managed to break out of her prison, climbed a fence and broke into a store, where she found a telephone and called her family.
The woman is now in hospital with extensive body damages. She had received almost nothing to eat and drink during the nine days. She has bruises from the beating and burns from cigarettes and from molten plastic that has been dripped onto her body. Her front teeth are knocked out, she has bleedings in both eyes, she has stab wounds all over her body and possibly a broken mandible. Part of her hair is burned away and her finger and toe nails are damaged, probably caused by pliers according to the police. A piece of her right thumb is missing.
She has extensive burn lesions on her legs from previous episodes of violence. The burns are caused by boiling water according to her own statement.
The violence has taken place over a period of one year, but has escalated drastically during the last month, according to the girl. The man threatened to kill her family if she reported him. Also, he has forbidden her to speak to her mother, because she is a Christian.
She is now under police protection, from fear that the family of the young man will try to harm her.

Is there really any difference in lending aid and suppport to a Jihadist and being a Jihadist? doesn't the act of lending aid and support make you a Jihadist?

We really are a stupid "race" of people. Our congress investigates preachers from every demonimation except the one that is the biggest threat. I don't get it. What is it going to take to get their undivided attention?

Boston is a very liberal, blue-blood city. I can just imagine the sympathetic bylines in the Globe: "Furniture store owner to lose business over controversial charity. Children weep", "Boston's Muslims fear ethnic stereotyping due to charity charges", "Saudi support for area projects jeopardized by terror case", and "Suspects ruled innocent after government fails to prove case".
Hell, Osama bin Laden should surrender in Boston. He'd get the best Harvard lawyers gratis and would walk.

Bad enough that young Muslims haven't figured out that there are many things terribly wrong with their religion, but here we have three middle-aged men who STILL haven't grasped that their poor excuse for a belief system has all kinds of psychopathic and inhumane elements to it.
Message to Muslims: clean up your religion or face its extermination or at least its marginalization (i.e., only losers are Muslims) by the over 80% of mankind that is losing patience with it. Another message to Muslims: assuming your faith is the true one, don't you see that this makes the universe a very creepy place and the deity an Orwellian figure of the first dimension? If so, ponder the nobility and courage of Prometheus.

the people of boston are probably angry that their beloved jihadists are getting arrested etc, or otherwise they wouldve rioted in the streets, protested and picketed every mosque in boston, or else they have shown their support for creeping islamification of boston with their silence?

The outcome of this trial will send an important message - either way - to would-be terrorist financiers and facilitators in America. Let's hope and pray the prosecution and the jurors are competent and that justice is served.

But when jury selection begins this morning, potential jurors will be told the defendants are Muslims of Arab ancestry and will be asked if they harbor bias based on religion, ethnicity, or national origin that would prevent them from deciding the case fairly.

Your absolutely right. I couldn't care less what Richard Roberts is doing with church money. At least I know he isn't sendind it to the Muslim Brotherhood or Al Qaeda. And his wife's new rolls royce isn't a threat to me or my country.
What we're seeing in this investigation is a lot of grandstanding by Congress. It's easier to go after the Christian clergy than Muslim Imams, who are a real threat to this nation.
