IAEA has known Iran has nuclear warhead blueprints since 2005

Question for Mohamed ElBaradei: So why are we only hearing about it now?

"Iran hands IAEA nuclear blueprints," by George Jahn for Associated Press (thanks to LGF):

VIENNA, Austria - Iran has met a key demand of the U.N. nuclear agency by delivering blueprints that show how to mold uranium metal into the shape of warheads, diplomats said Tuesday, in an apparent concession meant to stave off the threat of new U.N. sanctions.

But the diplomats said Tehran has failed to meet other requests made by the International Atomic Energy Agency in its attempts to end nearly two decades of nuclear secrecy on the part of the Islamic Republic.

The diplomats spoke to The Associated Press as IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei put the finishing touches on his latest report to the agency's 35-nation board of governors, for consideration during a meeting that begins on Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day.

The confidential report, expected to be distributed to agency members this Wednesday or Thursday, is likely to show substantial but not full compliance by Iran with its pledges to come clean on past activities — and confirm at the same time that Tehran continues to enrich uranium in defiance of the U.N. Security Council.

Those findings will likely lead to new calls by the United States, France and Britain for a third round of U.N. sanctions. But China and Russia, the other permanent Council members, may emphasize progress made, and demand more time for Iran before fresh U.N. penalties are imposed.

The agency has been seeking possession of the blueprints since 2005, when it stumbled upon them among a batch of other documents during its examination of suspect Iranian nuclear activities. While agency inspectors had been allowed to examine them in the country, Tehran had up to now refused to let the IAEA have a copy for closer perusal.

He's a Muslim helping fellow members of the Ummah prosecute the global jihad? Posted by: aynrandgirl [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 14, 2007 7:21 AM

Wow...came in much sooner than I said in another thread (erekat's comments thread).

Even the NYSlimes had to admit it...
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/world/AP-Nuclear-Iran.html?_r=2&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
(note- "Both the IAEA and other experts have categorized the instructions outlined in the blueprints as having no value outside of a nuclear weapons program.")
What next? The little mOslem munchkin pull a bull clintonSKY(?)" "shazaam! how'd those plans get there?" lol

So much for the "peaceful purposes!" supporters.
Watch 'em feign ignorance and "sudden dic=scovery" mentalities...lol

Is now a bad time to say "no shit, sherlock!" (?)

LOL

Why does anyone expect anything form an organization (IAEA) headed up by someone named Mohammed?

Posted by: Aunt Bea [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 14, 2007 8:08 AM

WE don't...perhaps the rest of the world may, but that would be insulting to the rest of the world, so that's out...maybe the talking heads at Useless Numbnuts, Inc (U.N.)...they believe anything, as long as it's not pro-western.
lol

Doesn't matter one bit. Iran wants nukes and Iran shall have them. Nothing will stop them short of military action.

Questions for Mohamed ElBaradei:

Why should we believe you now?

What do you intend to do with this information?

Of what use is the IAEA when it will not deal honestly with any country not intent on meeting its treaty obligations under the NPT?

Why shouldn't you be fired?

The IAEA is the agency that either allowed, participated or did not see North Koreas building of nuclear weapons. And North Korea did this with the IAEA inspectors at the site, on location, and under video survellance.

Ok. So, now we are we are entrusting to the same agency to act 'in good faith' with Iran?

How stupid are we?

Hmm…

Uranium enrichment, instructions for casting hemispherical shells, research on spherical implosion and re-entry vehicles... what could it all mean?

Obviously, this is a new type of highly advanced civilian nuclear power generation and delivery system. All that's missing is the announcement of the selfless Islamic initiative to bring "pulsed nuclear energy" to the infidels of the backward West, courtesy of the mysterious, the advanced, "Islamic Science".

I second jcom972, this is a "no shit, sherlock!" moment.

well, one thing for sure...
this blueprint issue was dropped in el-baradei's lap like a bomb (pun)...
he CAN'T deny it now...it's more than just an eval, it's also a once-and-for-all test of his credibility.
Like chess...and the pieces have been positioned so that he's going to lose something either way he goes now...
if he sides with iran, his credibility is smashed in the west, leaving him impotent, and marginalized...
if he sides with the west, iran will pull a "saddam", call him the usual list of names, like traitor, infidel, etc...and won't let him back in the country...leaving him a pariah to his own, and marginalized there...couple that with the fact that the SCO (the REAL power behind the jihadists) can tear him to pieces in their alliance with iran, since nothing is more fearsome than communist dictatorships (overt or covert) who are ruthless, and know he's a fraud masquerading as a diplomat.
He's screwed no matter what he does...
he loses a lot, or he loses BIG time.
Either way, he loses.

Like I said before in another thread...
stratagem
artifice
wile
...because Diplomacy: the art of telling the other guy to go get f**ked, and convincing him it's worth his while to do just that.

Like the chess game, move, countermove, jump, etc...and it's his move, and he either loses a rook or his queen.
either way, he's going to lose something big.

Welcome to the big leagues, mohammed.
your move

negotiation and diplomacy are fancy words for 'talking'

Talking won't begin to solve these problems.

"Question for Mohamed ElBaradei: So why are we only hearing about it now?"

The question contains its own answer: someone with the name "Mohammed" is invested with safeguarding the Free world from nuclear attack by Islamic entities.

World turned upside down?

Is anybody crazy?

Are we?

No. But our leaders appear to be. Or are they really as stupid as they look and sound?

Listen to them. Listen to what comes out of Condoleeza Rice's mouth. She does not tire of repeating the same old tired lines like a ventriloquist's dummy.

And guess who's the ventriloquist? Or rather who's the other dummy? (A dummy operating another dummy?)

And behind the stage, fingers up inside these squawking dummies is their oil-slick operator: silent promoter of the worldwide jihad.

Berobed in pure white, guardian of the Islamic holy places, he assures us that he is on our--the American people's--side.

You really think that the guardian against nuclear proliferation, our dear Mohammed El Baradei can be trusted?

(Sound of hollow laughter turning into uncontrolled sobbing)

I also second jcom972 and RalphInfidel. The IAEA completely missed the Khan nuclear proliferation network. Khan had been the one who gave Pakistan the bomb, and he decided to spread the joy more widely.

What was done to subversives in WWII?
What would FDR do?

Magooey

magooey,

A bit of clarification in order...
keep in mind, the bombs they currently have are US produced (back then, it started over India going nuke, not because of pakistan, but because of china, and pakistan wanted a counter to their Indian "enemy"...but that's another issue).

AQ Khan was, however, instrumental in developing the technology needed for them to produce their own (which you're right on about). The key here is...

They didn't get the technology from us, although a few factoids may have been...the overwhelming majority of technology, parts, know-how, etc had a footprint proving unmistakable, which is the reason I say is
-behind this asymmetric war using islamists against us,
-because that power behind them is useing them to divert us
-until they're ready to run us out of the Pacific rim as per their military memos we cracked, & had been reading, since 1974
-the very same ones who wrote the book on how to turn planes into ballistic missiles and fly them into planes and hit us with low-tech warfare, and whose intelligence agents wrote the book on it, and bragged about it when 9/11 occurred:

china

THAT's why they're called, by my peers and me:

"THE MAIN EVENT"

...and it's only a matter of time.

It should be clear to all reading this post that Nuclear power, and weppons built with Nuclear Tech; is the trouble, not the IAEA. The world should halt all Nuke plant & weppon production, and go for a complete ban on all Nuclear power of all types.

Do a search of the LOST treaty, being pushed for at the U.N., and has the support of Bush. That shows how bad, how we are losing control of even our ability to sail on the seas.

This weppon, used only twice as a less powerful version, is so distructive, it has not been used in war for nearly 65 years. How many super weppons do we need? A fleet of 100 B-1B bombers with there payload of bombs can destroy the life of the entire world.

It matters not who is in charge of this at the U.N., or the IAEA, it is the power of Nuclear. A halt of all the use and production is a step in the right direction, until the world can decide how to handle this power to destroy itself.

This is as sure a prescription for suicide as I've ever heard. When the "civilized" world scraps our weapons, the first numbnut who can manage to build a weapon will take the whole prize... like the only man willing to use a knife in a city of pacifists.

Get used to it and grow up... these weapons are here to stay, until something more frighteningly effective is developed. The delusion that somehow disarming ourselves will make the whole world sing "Kumbaya" together puts us all in peril. Study the 1930s.

I agree the weapons are not going anywhere. The idea that "Atoms for peace" can work is not one I agree with.

I would like to see a halt to all Nuclear plant construction, until the world can see a way forward without threat of expansion of bomb production, like Iran, N. Korea, etc.

The only way this can be considered is if all nations agree to halt production, and then continue to reduce the weapons as we were, and are doing , bringing others into the idea of ending Nuke bomb production.

If this way forward puts us in greater peril than the current approach, we are already into the abyss.
