CAIR-Southern California raises nearly half a million dollars at banquet addressed by Ellison, others

Even Apollo Creed was there -- I guess that Russian guy hit him a little too hard. There was a lot of self-pity, as one might expect, a lot of claiming of protected victim status, a lot of scare-mongering about internment camps. Not a word, of course, about how CAIR the great uniter and great crusader (heh) against racism and bigotry was named an unindicted co-conspirator in that case Ellison criticized. Not a word from Ayloush, who repeatedly refused to condemn Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups when I asked him to do so on a radio show, or anyone else about how Muslims must fight against the spread of the jihad ideology of Islamic supremacism they profess to reject. And Ellison says if they just imitate Muhammad, all will be well. Right.

"CAIR calls for ‘conversation to begin’ at banquet," by Abdussalam Mohamed for Southern California InFocus (thanks to LGF):

ANAHEIM, Calif. – With star power at hand, the Council on American-Islamic Relation’s annual banquet and fund-raiser was off to a thrilling start. From first-ever Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison, to LA County Sheriff Lee Baca and actor Carl Weathers, the packed ballroom inside the Anaheim Hilton hotel was bursting at the seams with members of the Muslim community, elected leaders and various interfaith groups who came to celebrate CAIR’s achievements.

Over 2,000 people attended the banquet, making it possibly the largest Muslim fundraiser in the nation.

The theme of this year’s event by CAIR’s Greater Los Angeles chapter was a call for a conversation to begin, a conversation spearheaded by various community leaders who spoke with a united voice, calling for peace and unity while denouncing racism, intolerance and stereotyping....

Weathers and Japanese American civil rights activist Nuboko Miyamoto, who is also a former prison camp detainee, shared that sentiment by reading passages from The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and a Japanese author about the Japanese internment camp experience emphasizing the theme of peace and tolerance.

CAIR’s national executive director, Nihad Awad, spoke eloquently and firmly when he denounced the Los Angles Police Department’s plan to map Muslim communities in the Greater Los Angeles Area. "We call on the LAPD to scrap the project of mapping Muslims," he said. "We want the police to enlist and not blacklist, support and not report members of our community," he added.

Awad pointed out that of the seven million American Muslims, Al-Qaeda was not able to recruit a single person, proof that the American Muslim community is patriotic. The LAPD has since dropped the controversial plan.

Hmm. Has Awad never heard of John Walker Lindh? Adam Gadahn?

Hussam Ayloush, executive director of CAIR Southern California, stole the show with a moving and powerful speech that resonated well with his audience. Ayloush spoke of how a trip to Manzanar, one of many internment camps for thousands of Japanese Americans during WWII, changed his perspective on life.

"I took my kids to learn about an important part of their country’s history," Ayloush said. "But little did I know it was going to be a life-changing experience that helped me realize the bigger picture of my commitment to my work."...

"We want an America that respects and humanizes immigrants, that rejects Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Latinos, anti-Blacks and all forms of racism," Ayloush said.

Ellison sealed the event with an electrifying speech that delighted the crowd.

Peppering his speech with references to MLK and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Ellison said American Muslims should be patient and perseverant in their struggle for equality and justice. "If we let the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, lead us, our struggle will pay massive dividends," he said.

In a veiled reference to the recent exoneration of the Holy Land Foundation by a Texas jury, Ellison spoke out against what he termed "selective prosecution" of Muslim charities, and at the same time denounced torture, waterboarding, saying he wanted to call America back from fear. Ellison also called on American Muslims to be patient in their struggle. "Today, the one group that can be insulted freely is American Muslims," he said. "As Muslims, we have to stop this in a righteous manner."

The ever-ubiquitous Imam Siraj Wahhaj provided much needed comic relief with his humorous fund-raising antics. By the end of the evening, Wahhaj was able to talk his audience into investing over $454,000 toward the future work of CAIR Southern California.

A must read...establishing the indissoluble link between Sharia and Jihad...IN THE USA!!!

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=D6C27CB9-4D19-4C0D-8E13-87F0806E94A5

Meanwhile, OT here, but I've been trying to sort out the recent NIE report on Iran's nuclear program...and have been wondering about the possibility that this was part of the 'mother' of all quid pro quo's...

Isn't it possible that the NIE absolution was an orchestrated response to Iran's role in the remarkable success of the so-called surge in Iraq?

All one need do is acknowledge that the success of the surge would never have been possible if Iranian policy had been to use its proxies in Iraq (both Sunni and Shia) to exacerbate the violence during there...(as they've done since the invasion). Instead, by all accounts, it appears the Iranians have opted for a policy of restraint...and we have benefited enormously.

And on the heels of this policy of restraint comes the bogus NIE report absolving Iran of its nuclear ambitions.

Input anyone?...

"If we let the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, lead us, our struggle will pay massive dividends,"
--Ellison--

Sounds like a call for jihad to me. The only question is whether it is the "internal spritual struggle" variety.

Does any one know if Carl Weathers is a Muslim?

Thank you, Minnesota. Thank you.

"If we let the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, lead us, our struggle will pay massive dividends ..."

Yes, killing, raping, and looting lead to massive dividends for the Umma, the Mohammedan Slave Empire.

He who follows the example of the Pirate Mohammed is not a moderate Muslim--he is not a moderate anything. He is the enemy of all free men. He is my enemy.

I'm all for a conversation to begin, the sooner the better, as long as it is an honest conversation, without witholding any of the truths about the supremacist ideology of Islam. It needs to be talked about every day and in headlines across every newspaper in the country.

CAIR’s national executive director, Nihad "The Wad" Awad said

of the seven million American Muslims, Al-Qaeda was not able to recruit a single person, proof that the American Muslim community is patriotic.

And there have been no jihadist attacks in the U.S. since 9/11. And "Islam" means "peace".

"Awad pointed out that of the seven million American Muslims,"

It is very difficult to get an accurate estimate of the U.S. Muslim population size because the Census Bureau does not ask respondents to state their religion. See the PEW link below from a study published earlier this year.

p. 10 --PEW gives an estimate of 2.35 million Muslims nationwide.

Other notes:
--San Diego Muslim population “capable of doubling” every 6 years
--Illinois Muslim population “capable of doubling” every 17 years
http://pewresearch.org/assets/pdf/muslim-americans.pdf

"Peppering his speech with references to MLK and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Ellison said American Muslims should be patient and perseverant in their struggle for equality and justice."
We know all about Islamic “justice.” And whereas MLK argued that all men should be equal, Muhammad (Allah) said:

32:18. “Is then he who is a believer like him who is Fasiq (disbeliever and disobedient to Allah)? Not equal are they.”

98:6-7. “Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings.”

"If we let the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, lead us, our struggle will pay massive dividends," he said.

33:27. (Pickthall). “And He caused you to inherit their land and their houses and their wealth, and land ye have not trodden. Allah is ever Able to do all things.”

“Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: “Allah's Apostle said, “Booty has been made legal for me.”” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 351).

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 388:
Narrated Juwairiya bin Qudama At-Tamimi: We said to 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, Jo Chief of the believers! Advise us." He said, "I advise you to fulfill Allah's Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis.) " (parentheses in M. Muhsin Khan’s translation).

LXXXVII: What is said about spears
“It is mentioned from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "My provision has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command."”

[Notes: The above hadith is from Sahih Bukhari, though is not available in some internet editions of that collection. “Provision” here means livelihood. “Under the shade/shadow of my spear” refers to war (i.e., Muhammad is claiming that he makes his living from war booty). “Abasement and humility” refers to jizya and subjugation. In Bewley’s numbering system, the above hadith, unnumbered, is between 2756 and 2757].

2748. "It is related that 'Umar said, "The property of the Banu'n-Nadir was part of the booty which Allah gave His Messenger for which the Muslims did not stir horses or camels. It was for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in particular and he would spend the yearly maintenance of his family from it and then put what remained into arms and horses as preparation for the way of Allah."
[The above hadith is also from Sahih Bukhari]

"Ellison spoke out against what he termed "selective prosecution" of Muslim charities, and at the same time denounced torture"

Surely Ellison knows that Islam permits torture and that "the teachings" of Muhammad show that it is considered acceptable:

Ishaq, p. 515. (raid on Khaybar, continued).
"Kinana b. al-Rabi, who had the custody of the treasure of B. al-Nadir, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it. He denied that he knew where it was. A Jew came (Tabari: was brought) to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, 'Do you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you?' he said Yes. The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr b. al-Awwam, 'Torture him until you extract what he has,' so he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud."

More of Muhammad's teachings:

Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Number 33 (see 30-35): It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220: Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them). [Also see Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Number 1062, 1063, 1066, 1067; Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 87, Number 127 and 141].

Al-Jalalayn (9:111)
"Indeed God has purchased from the believers their lives and their possessions, that they expend it in obedience of Him - for example by striving in His way - so that theirs will be [the reward of] Paradise: they shall fight in the way of God and they shall kill and be killed
[…] Rejoice then […] in this bargain of yours which you have made, for that, bargain, is the supreme triumph, the one that secures the ultimate goal."

"The ever-ubiquitous Imam Siraj Wahhaj"

Here are some fans of Wahhaj:

http://www.sabiqun.net/join.html
As-Sabiqun
“As-Sabiqun is an Islamic movement that believes in the Islamic State of North America no later than 2050. Those who engage in this great effort require a high level of commitment and determination. We are sending out a call to the believers: Join with us in this great struggle to change the world!”

Don't know . . .however, this interesting tidbit from the IMDb bio page reveals this(scroll to bottom of page)::

Where Are They Now
(April 2006) Currently assisting the US Military with simulated Iraqi villages at Fort Irwin, California.

Apollo needs to get back to basics, before he submits. Here is the first 9 minutes to get him started.

What a joke.

The fusion of the bleeding heart socialists and the Religion of Hate - the feel gooders and the deceivers.

All the hypocrisy and deception.

If we are to save our freedoms and our value system. CAIR has to go.

I was disappointed to see that one of the chief law enforcement officers of the State of California attended this banquet. Sheriff Leroy Baca over sees the largest Sheriff's department in the United States, he commands sworn personal of around ten thousand deputies in Los Angeles County. But then again like so many in people in high places he probably doesn't have a clue about the never ending assorted history of CAIR and its on going mission of hypocrisy, and suppression of free speech against anyone who speaks up against them IE --Michael Savage,Robert Spencer and many many more.

And as we can see they managed to add a little more money to their defense fund in trying to suppress free speech as well as law inforcements ability to do their job.

Though I haven't as of yet seen the entire guest list of whose who at this banquet, and no doubt there were other law inforcement officials there. For me there is some bizarre irony having a chief law inforcement officer attend a fund raiser for this group that tries to undermine law inforcement at every turn.

Thank you Minnesota indeed.

What ever became of his idea of not requiring photo IDs to vote? I originate from south Minneapolis and know well the self hating white liberals that voted him in.
I just wonder why his involvement with the NOI isn't suck a big scandal. The NOI teaches things that are the equal of the Aryan Nation or the KKK, and nobody would ever elect a moron with those associations. I suppose orthodox Islam is no better though. I wonder if he believes or has ever believed that white people were created by a mad black scientist named Yacub on the island of Patmous and are devils? It would be fun to ask him.

All Moslems are a danger to human freedom, but converts like Keith Ellison are the most guilty.

He was raised a Catholic, and became a Black Moslem "initially as a political act" (his words). Now he's a real, Arab-style Moslem, like Elijah Mohamed's son.

It kills me to watch the Moslem children being brainwashed to violence in the MEMRI news clips, but their parents were likewise brainwashed, back scores of generations for the most part.

It saddens me that God allowed that to happen, but nothing we can do about that -- and we still have to be ready to defend ourselves (and kill them if necessary) when they're old enough to start killing us.

Converts like Ellison and Hooper and Walker and Gadahn are pure evil -- they embraced violence and oppression from Western upbringings.

"today, the one group that can be insulted freely is American Muslims. As Muslims, we have to stop this in a righteous manner."

Ah yes, the subtly veiled calls for the imposition of sharia laws against criticism of Islam. The end-result of which will be the same oppression we've seen in Egypt the Sudan and Afghanistan under the Taliban. For once I'd like to hear just one Muslim stand up for freedom of profane, blasphemous, and insulting speech.
