CAIR's list of companies boycotting Savage show includes some that have never advertised on it

You better sit down for this one. CAIR -- that's right, the Council on American Islamic Relations, that bastion of integrity and fair dealing -- may not be being straight with us about just who is participating in its boycott of Michael Savage's show.

"AutoZone: CAIR wrong about Michael Savage ads," from WorldNetDaily (thanks to D. C. Watson):

The Council on American-Islamic Relations claims a raft of companies have stopped advertising on Michael Savage's top-rated radio talk show in response to a CAIR-instigated boycott campaign, but several of the cited companies say they don't know what the Islamic lobby group is talking about.

In a recent announcement claiming Universal Orlando Resorts "drops 'Savage Nation' ads," CAIR stated:

"Advertisers that have already stopped airing, or refuse to air commercials on 'Savage Nation' include AutoZone, Citrix, TrustedID, JCPenney, OfficeMax, Wal-Mart and AT&T."

But now AutoZone has told WND the CAIR campaign had nothing to do with its advertising decision, and it had chosen not to advertise on any radio talk shows – of all parts of the spectrum – years before the CAIR effort.

CAIR officials declined to respond to WND queries about why it is listing companies as part of its boycott campaign that say they have not participated in the boycott.

But Talk Radio Network officials also confirmed that companies including AutoZone and JCPenney never advertise on such programs.

Is Baghdad Bob working for CAIR now?
I never particularly liked Michael Savage - he's too homophobic and hysterical - but he does a service by speaking the truth about Islamic related issues. I hope CAIR's effort to shut him up helps his show.

Do tell us, won't you, just who The Savage Nation's committed advertisers ARE, so that we may express our appreciation of their steadfast antidhimmitude and patronize them. Deus vult.

...a friend tells me...he never paid attention to the Savage show...but anything CAIR objects to must be something to pay attention to...My friend now says he will listen to the Savage show more often.....

.....I reminded my friend that Savage once said one of the greatest Muslim fears is pornography...especially western pornography....

...I laughed when I first heard that (and that was years ago)...but I now believe it to be true....

....preserve civilization...Ban Muslim Immigration..

Ah, but look at the statement again:
"Advertisers that have already stopped airing, or refuse to air commercials on 'Savage Nation' include AutoZone, Citrix, TrustedID, JCPenney, OfficeMax, Wal-Mart and AT&T."

It's a true statement. Why, I bet there are thousands of more companies, both big and small, "refusing" to advertise on the show. Of course, 99+% of them "refuse" because the listening audience doesn't include enough of their targeted demographic, because they don't advertise on such forums, etc. We could probably compile our own list of companies that "refuse" to advertise on the show. Or better yet, we could compile our own list of companies that "refuse" to endorse or contribute to CAIR.

No doubt CAIR will try to "back date" every single former sponsor of Savage's show who dropped him for any reason in order to claim their boycott was the real reason they quit sponsoring him. CAIR is like a puffer fish- it puffs itself up all the time in order to look more fearsome than it really is.

Maybe the Savage show should counter with an announcement that Al Qaeda and the Saudi government will be advertizing on the Savage show.

Too hell with the truth! Let CAIR call them liers.

Posted by: rational [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 14, 2007 8:04 AM

CAIR WAS accurate in the same sense that "Islam is a religion of Peace and Tolerance" is an accurate statement - just as long as you accept the Islamic definition of "Peace" and "Tolerance".

Another taquiya and kitman moment from CAIR. They are playing the invisible domino game. If their make believe domino falls they are hoping it will set off all the other dominos to fall. Another words if other companies note that some companies have dropped the Savage Show then other companies may do the same without really investigating the truth.

And CAIR can call spirits from the vasty deep.

Oh har de har.

Excellent! Another mis-step by the Ummah reps, to be trotted out & laughed at.

I truly believe that if we in the West are to successfully defend ourselves against Islam, singing out "the Emperor has no clothes!" will play a large part. Many, many whose eyes glaze over when hearing dire warnings about Islamic theology, etc., surely get it every time these people shoot themselves in the foot.

Scorn - not enough of it yet, but we're getting there.

Thank you, Robert, Hugh, & all JihadWatch staff, for doing such a huge part.

Dr. Michael Savage, the once Michael Alan Weiner remains an intriguing character, once a liberal who hung out with fellows like Allen Ginsburg, and Stephen Schwartz. At one time he even worked for the LSD guru Timothy Leary. In the late 70s' he began to move away from his liberal friends as he found more and more disgust with liberalism.

When asked why he became a conservative he said; "it was time to stop being a boy and become a man".

Dr.Savage holds several degrees. He has master degrees in medical botany ,and medical anthropology. He holds a Doctorate from Berkeley in nutritional ethnomedicine and His radio show is part of the big three in conservative talk radio with Limbaugh, and Hannity in first and 2nd.

Savage is not new to lawsuits and controversy, infact his whole 17 year radio career is pot marked with lawsuits by various organizations.

To show how dramatically Dr.Savage has changed over the years, Savage remarked of Allen Ginsburg "I looked at Ginsberg almost like a rabbinical figure. Little did I know that he was the F*^#:king devil.

One thing is for sure Michael Savage will not go easily into the night, CAIR or no CAIR.

Is CAIR just dishonest or can they hire researchers only from the stupid pool ?

Probably both.

Hooper, you are a fool of the first order. That you were born into a decent culture should have some vestige of resonance with you so that you can imagine how big a fool you are.

Fools. Let me count the ways.

But maybe not. Going after a talk show host and his source of income might help you adhieve your goal - chilling free speech.

You're still a fool Hooper. And worse.

Cair? What's Cair? Oh yea, that little Muslim organization with declining membership that not even many Muslims belong to or support? That's funny. They think that THEY can influence large American corporations advertising decisions? What a hoot. Hahaha.

Muslim lying to spread Islam, or prevent criticism of Islam.

New day, saem thing.

Greetings:

AutoZone's Ray Pohlman told WND: "What I will tell you is the CAIR organization did, in fact, contact the marketing department [of AutoZone.] We responded with our full advertising policy which clearly states that we do not advertise on radio talk shows."

What disturbs me is that "businesspeople" are using scarce resources to respond to the like of CAIR.

Back in my Army (US) days, there was an oft repeated joke about the difference between the Army and the Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts, you see, had Adult Supervision.

Thank God that you can disagree with Mr. Savage as much as you like and he won't call a fatwa out on you and your family. If I understand his views correctly, he is pro-family, pro-passing on one's genetic gifts through the creation of children, and opposed to or alarmed by anything that he believes will put us at the mercy of the Islamofascists.

When Michael Savage retires from radio or is denied his freedom of speech because it offends the throat-cutters, wife-beaters, Christian-bashers and pedophiles, then who will CAIR attack next? These Islamic retrogrades would love nothing better than to muzzle Mssrs. Spencer and Fitzgerald and a host of other inspired voices proclaiming the "looming threat" from their respective watchtowers.

Unity of purpose is what is most needed at this time. Our individual differences and personal agendas may separate our politics, but, ultimately, we need stand together with everyone willing to oppose the Islamic retrogrades and what their religion bodes for all of mankind.

If you can send him only a dollar, send it soon. If you can send more, send it and consider it an investment in your future, your children's and grandchildren's future. Or, write a letter or make a phone call to some of his sponsors and affiliates; make it clear that you may not agree with everything he says, but that you would defend his right to freedom of speech as an absolute right.

.. then AutoZone and JCPenny should sue CAIR. In the mean time JCPenny and AutoZone are boycotted. period.

Will ACME, Wyle E. Coyote's supplier of constantly malfunctioning bombs, TNT, and parachutes be next to join CAIR's little brigade, and stop advertising on the Savage Nation?

I cannot wait to see the consequences of CAIR lying in Court.

For some reason, I think the Koran and it's teachings will be exposed in Court. A place I always felt it needed to be in.

A place where "the truth and nothing but the truth" is King.

kol Ha'kavod (Congratulations) to Michael for standing up to CAIR (Also to David Harris and Andy Whitehead who also stared down the litigious beast).

Michael Savage has lot's of support in this battle, unfortunately, he depends on his producer in Oregon (Beowulf) and web-mistress in Toronto (Judi) to bring him up to date and the situation and they haven't the time and energy to be his eyes and ears 24-7.
