This Reuters story contains a few details about Hamas' genocidal bloodlust that somehow didn't make it into the New York Times story on the same event. Now, why is that?
"Celebrating anniversary, Hamas warns of Intifada," by Nidal al-Mughrabi for Reuters (thanks to Pamela):
GAZA, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Hamas threatened to launch a new uprising against Israel on Saturday when hundreds of thousands of Islamist supporters rallied in Gaza City to mark the group's 20th anniversary."Our people are capable of launching a third and a fourth intifada until the dawn of victory rises up," said Khaled Meshaal, the group's exiled leader, in a speech recorded on Friday at his base in Damascus.
The Tiny Minority of Extremists™ is larger than the Times' estimate in this story also:
The central square in Gaza City was awash with green flags and dozens of armed, masked men from the group's military wing patrolled in a crowd estimated at between 300,000 and 500,000.Hamas leader in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, said the movement was growing more popular because of its stance against the United States and Israel.
"Today is the day of Jihad, resistance and uprising," Haniyeh said.
But don't be concerned. Remember, jihad has many meanings, and is primarily an interior spiritual struggle. (Memo to Ibrahim Hooper: See, Ibrahim, I could do your job for you, my good man!)
"Those who remain committed to the constant rights of their people, those who make an enemy of America and the Zionist occupation (Israel) gain popularity. This is Hamas." [...]Meshaal said Abbas, whose administration is backed by the West, lacked the support of the Palestinian people.
"Whoever thinks his legitimacy comes from the international backing is under an illusion, the legitimacy is the people," Meshaal said.
Alluding to last month's Israeli-Palestinian talks in Annapolis, Maryland, Haniyeh said conferences "will achieve nothing".
"We will never cede our land ... The choice of resistance and Jihad is the shortest way to liberate Palestine and return Jerusalem," Haniyeh said.
GRAVES ALREADY PREPARED
In another speech to the rally, senior Hamas official Mushir al-Masri warned Israel to expect many casualties if troops invade the coastal territory in an attempt to stop almost daily rocket firing by militants into Israel.
"Jews, go back, because we have already dug graves for you," Masri said. Israel carries out regular raids on Gaza and has killed dozens of militants in the past month.

Jews, go back, because we have already dug graves for you...
Fat chance that a group of Moslems would have such work ethic. Maybe, just maybe, a Catepillar back digger run by a UN employee, but not "unemployed" Moslems with hand shovels.

History is replete with examples of irony. If I were a Gazan I'd be more careful in my words and deeds. They both have a way of coming back around to haunt you.

The NYT didn't mention the bad parts because they only publish all the news they see fit to print. Wouldn't want to get people too riled up, now. Those bloodless morons.

Oh, do inhabitants of Gaza even bury their own dead - or do they just take pictures?
The prospect of Gazans digging graves for Israelis does indeed stretch the imagination.

"Jews, go back, because we have already dug graves for you,"
Unlikely. Separate graves would indicate proper respect for the dead. Don't these jokers just dump their victims in one trench, and cover it up?
Such ugly rhetoric! Imagine any US official saying that, to anyone, in any context! The world would never hear the end of it. But it's okay for Hamas, we all expect low behaviour from low men.

Maybe the Times didn't want to mention how nice Hamas is. Digging all those graves for their neighbors...........
Look at what Gaza was like before Hamas and Fatah shot it up.
You would think it is obvious who is doing the real occupation.

The NYT is an excellent example of a paper that ignores Islamic rhetoric and ideology. Why pay attention to it when everything the Muslims do is just a reaction to what we do? The Third Worlders are always victims who have no real identity outside of what we create by our actions. Anyway, it's way too inconvenient to take all that trouble to delve into Islamic texts.

...I don't suppose for a moment that the Muslims have considered that it could well be that Muslim bodies will fill these graves?....Israelies can be difficult to deal with when the shooting flares up ....

.......................
Tiny Minority of Extremists, indeed! Encarta esimates the entire population of the Gaza Strip at a shade under 1.5 Million, as of July of this year. BBC News is a bit more conservative, with an estimate of 1.3 Million.
Then, if the larger estimate of the crowd at this celebration of Hamas and its genocidal agenda is correct, it represented a *full third of the population* of the whole of Gaza! There is also no reason to think that there weren't many others who fully support Hamas' agenda, but were simply unable to make the trip, as well as many who who support Hamas in a more general way.
Deeply disturbing.

Isn't that meaningless? If the graves have already been dug, wouldn't they want the Jews to come in, rather than go back, so that the utility of those graves may be fulfilled?
Or is it, as always, the will of Allah?

"Jews, go back, because we have already dug graves for you"
This isn't news. Hamas and Fatah make such threats every other day.
It's the equivalent of 'now I am going to get tough on you.'
It is time though for Israel to go into Gaza and take out the Kassam launchers and kill those who are firing them.

"Our people are capable of launching a third and a fourth intifada until the dawn of victory rises up"
leader of Hamas
I guess that means that even going back to the 1967 borders won't bring peace to Israel. Has anyone told Olmert or Barak? How about Bush or Condi? Then there's Tony Blair. What's he been up to, lately?
All still labor under the delusion that peace with Israel is the goal. Hamas considers Israel itself to be "occupied territory", does it not?

Hee hee! Zonie kafir, loove your comments! May the world fart in Hamas' general direction!
If Hamas spent HALF the energy they waste on shooting at Israelis building schools, picking up litter and planting trees, Palestine would start looking like a place people might want to live. Can you imagine all the things ONE THIRD of the population of Palestine could accomplish if they put their minds to it?
(Shake of the head). Sorry, got carried away by flower-child dreams there. In thirty years, all these people have done is fight, bomb, kill and maim. When is the world going to tell them to shut up and sit down 'cause we've had enough?
Apparently, one of the Palestinian negotiators at Annapolis figures that the war will be over in 80-200 years. Read: this is how long they figure Israel will hold out before they throw up their hands and all emigrate to the U.S.

As we know that Hamas is really deep-down 'moderate' they are probably just shallow graves.

So, are the graves actually dug or being dug? Or is this another empty threat along the lines of the "Mother of all battles" stupidity? Let's not forget the classic "Line of Death." What a lame bluff. The fools are holding garbage, the Israelis at least a straight flush. I just wish Israel had a leader with a pair of big brass ones.

Years ago in the era of the Peoples Park riots. The authorities threatened to use the most effective riot and crowd control, device known to man. Not an explosive, a gas. When inhaled, it produced an overwhelming urge to poop. What a spectacle that would be, with 200,000 desperate Gazanians all trying to get into the one public restroom in the area...
Guaranteed to stop any riot or protest. I wonder what ever happened to that gas, and why it is not used...

I have a Christian friend who, like me before I came here, had pity for the Palestinians.
I have been educated from reading this wonderful site. She is willing to be educated.
Can anyone please point me to some good articles to print out for her to explain it all?
Many thanks and Christmas Greetings, in particular to our fearless leader, Robert Spencer.

Bush is with our enemies. The following is the language George W. Bush had inserted into our national Republican party platform in 2004:
http://www.gop.com/media/2004platform.pdf
The Broader Middle East and North Africa
"Republicans agree with President Bush that Israel’s plan to remove all settlements
from Gaza and several settlements from the West Bank is a courageous step toward peace
in the face of continuing terrorist violence. This initiative can stimulate progress toward
peace as laid out in the Road Map launched by President Bush.
"Republicans commend the government of Israel for its desire to pursue peace,
even in the face of continuing terrorist attacks. This is demonstrated by steps Israel has
taken, such as removing unauthorized outposts and improving the humanitarian situation
by easing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians not engaged in terrorist activities.

There is a way (although it might last more than a decade) to defeat the Gazan Palestinians. Lay seige to the Gaza Strip and cut off ALL SUPPLIES to it. Since Ancient times, seige and starvation have been the most effective weapons of war. Too bad the moronic "humanitarianism" of the incompetent Western Elites thinks its "icky". Well, war sucks @ss anyway.

I don't think I would be in favor of shutting off Gaza's water, but I would pull the electrical plug on them. That could be Israels best weapon against Hamas. They want to live in the seventh century, that would help them along. No more electricity, no more internet, no more internet, no more internet porn...DANG...is that haram, or what?

"We will never cede our land ... The choice of resistance and Jihad is the shortest way to liberate Palestine and return Jerusalem," Haniyeh said.z'
That would be funny if it wasn't for all the blood that gets spilled over the lazy desires of mad men.Shortcut to victory? I doubt it son.
HamAss's fearless leader belts out that they already have graves dug for the Jews and are prepared for the invasion of gaza.Puffing out his chest and beating it like some brave gorilla when we all know that him and the rest of his leadership and followers will hide under the nearest rock when Israel comes a knockin'.Little white robes all dirtied and smelling afowl.
I don't recall the leaders name being sheltered in lebabon who was crying about Israel gearing up for an invasion into Gaza but they have to come to a decision at some point as to who is going to speak. They are getting thier Propaganda mixed up,or is it that they just spew and the MSM lines up however best it benefits the wackos?
Oh by the way how fast is the 500 million in aid gonna pass through congress afterall the Palestinian people are a hurting people and it's our fault.Isn't it to be over 2 billion over justa couple of years that we will give these murderers, rapists and thieves? Another by the way, just exactly who is THE WORLD when they say the world is giving this aid to Palestine? How much are Iran, saudi arabia,Jordan,Egypt,Pakistan,Indonesia ans all the other lands of oz donating? Or are they in line to get thier Jizya?
I want the opinion of all you people on something. I went on a rant and am still going on that rant that Palestinains have killed more Palestinians than Israel ever has and ever wishes to. I was blasted when i offered up that opinion on another site and had my comment deleted,It was up for debate but the nazi moderator hopped skipped and jumped over to the delete button and deleted my comment because i didn't provide a link to the proof of my opinion.
So i proceeded in writing a rather lenghty reply to that moderators deletion notice to me,that he delivered with a smile by the way,and at the end of every claim or point i expressed i provided the link to the Qur'an,i have no idea how many of the same links i inserted but my question is.Is that not proof enough that Palestinains kill more Palestinians than Israel kill of them?
Islam kills.Palestinians are muslims and muslims practice islam. No matter the strain ...islam is islam. So am i incorrect?
I might add that what a joke all of this is anyways of having to hand deliever proof when they get it straight from the horsesass mouths of those "brave heroes, lions and martyrs."

Were Israel to go back into the Gaza Strip, a majority of the 200,000 or so would just melt into the background with the aforementioned foul smell on their clothes. Of course the leaders would be trying to push them out of the hiding spots stating that it was their duty as muslims to meet the invaders and die for the glory of islam, yada yada yada.
