Mullah Omar vows to keep fighting jihad

The old Afghan jihadist has fallen on hard times since he was proclaimed Emir al-Momineen (Leader of the Believers -- Caliph) in Kandahar in 1996, but he hasn't given up. "Mullah Omar vows to keep fighting," from AFP (thanks to Twostellas):

KANDAHAR: Taliban supreme leader Mullah Omar vowed yesterday to keep fighting throughout the winter and attack Afghan and international troops who drove his forces from a southern town last week.

In a message to mark Eid al-Adha, the militant chief said there would be no rest for troops in Musa Qala, which the Taliban held for 10 months before its recapture.

“We’ll not allow rest for invading forces in Musa Qala. Our mujahedin (holy warriors) are still around the villages,” Omar said in a statement which was read to AFP over the phone by one of his spokesmen.

[...]

“The enemy has been defeated,” Omar said in his statement.

“But to totally defeat them and force them out of our country, we all need to give sacrifice,” he said.

“Eid al-Adha means (festival of the) sacrifice, and this is the time to sacrifice for our country.”

Yep, none of these grand poobahs ever follow their own advice of 'sacrifice' but find plenty to do it for them. How noble.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH... hey Robert, you missed one today. This is actually pretty funny...

"All Iraqi groups blame U.S. for discord"

Get it? That Sunni-Shiite hatred predates the existence of the United States by over 1000 years? Oh man... what a knee-slapper... ROFL.

Mullah Omar's asking for "sacrifice" reminds me of this parody poster.

Yes, that's all they ask.

What a fool. And all that began to run the Americans out of Saudi Arabia ! His guest bin Laden easily fooled and brainwashed him that the American "infidels" are desecrating "the Holy Sands of Arabia, the Land of Two Holy Places" by the very presence of their "unclean" Christian selves. So, when Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal arrived in Afghanistan in mid-September of 1998, after the US Embassy bombings, and asked Omar to expell bin Laden from Afghanistan, Omar blew up on him, calling Saudi Arabia "an occupied country", heaping insults on al-Faisal and Pakistani Gen. Naseem Rana, and yelling at them that they should join bin Laden in driving the Americans out of "the Holy Arabian Peninsula".

Everyone here has it right-these dirty old mule-ahs exhort the idiots to kill and die for their god yet they go on living to a ripe old age. One has to be a complete moron to follow the likes of
Omar. No wonder I picked the name I have.

Well Mullah, has the enemy been defeated or not, you do not sound so sure...

Yeah, ain't there a bounty on his head - I thought he was next only to Osama & Zawahiri. From where are they reporting his statements - can't a few JDAMs be released on wherever that is?

Ooops, forgot - we can't kill 'innocent civilians'.

Oh to have the CIA of lore. There was a time when the Agency had the balls to go after nuts like ol' Omar. But alas, through actions of others and themselves, the CIA is but a shell of it's founders' intent. While he didn't head the CIA, old "Wild Bill" Donovan must be spinning in his grave to see what has happened to the successor of his OSS.
