CAIR's Ahmed Bedier has posted a vile hate message at this site, and has never bothered to answer my questions to him about the Islamic supremacist ideology. More importantly, Bedier characterized two men who are now under indictment after being found with pipe bombs in their trunk -- one of whom has admitted to making a video about how to use remote-controlled bombs against American soldiers -- as a couple of "naive kids."
And now (thanks to LGF) here he is participating in an egregiously deceptive discussion of stoning in Islam. Bedier declines to condemn the practice while noting that all three "monotheistic religions" prescribe it -- a false claim, and one that is belied by the fact that only some Muslims, and no Christians and Jews, are praticing it today. Note also the imam in the video they watch, quoting Jesus' words condemning stoning as if they mean he is recommending the practice.
Bedier also tries to excuse stoning by noting that Islamic law prescribes it for both men and women, and that four witnesses are needed to establish the crime, with 70 lashes for a false accusation (actually eighty, cf. Qur'an 24:4). He portrays this as a virtually unattainable evidentiary standard, but in practice that is not the case under Sharia. With eight women awaiting death by stoning in Iranian prisons as of last September, will Bedier condemn the practice outright?
Mr. Bedier, you've been here before. I invite you to do so, right here.

How difficult is it to condemn such barbarism?
It is sickening to know there are people on this earth who support pummeling to death victims who have harmed no one.
at January 12, 2008 7:40 AM
What a bunch of crap that was. It is hard to defend abuse, but oh how they try. Since none of them would outright condemn it, I would ask if they would 'participate' in it, as in Iran, where the muslim public is invited to throw the stones.
Then watch them try to wiggle out of that one...
at January 12, 2008 7:45 AM
Where is the anti-death penalty crowd on this? They object to lethal injection as cruel and unusual punishment because the "victim" suffers before he dies. How about those Europeans who condemn the "barbaric" United States because the death penalty is still carried out in some states?

Unbelievable how the women on the panel dance around the topic. Not to mention the implication that Jesus supported such barbarism. I wonder how many of the women now in jail for adultery (or for being victims of rape) actually had four witnesses standing around watching the intercourse take place! And wouldn't you actually need to have eight female witnesses, since a woman's testimony is only worth half that of a man?

Wiggle? LOL
Swami, I couldn't even make it through this video, watching all four of these worms carefully wiggle out of straight answers to "yes" or "no" questions. Disgusting!
The worst was the deliberate misunderstanding of Jesus' words about "casting the first stone". It made me sick.
While it may be true that "all three monotheistic religions prescribe" stoning as a punishment, two of the three don't actively do this anymore. Two of the three are more humane and evolved than the one that still thinks stoning is a game for the whole community to play.
Hellooooo! CAIR-- How stupid do you think the rest of the world is? Shirley Jackson, in 1948 wrote a little story about a lottery where the "winner" was stoned to death. It was considered, in 1948, to be a horror story, and something that wasn't ever supposed to happen.

Wow, I clicked on the link provided and read Mr. Bedier's hate-filled rant to Mr. Spencer from November 6, 2006.
The Mohammedan, Bedier, uses these words: "hate-fest," "bigots," "hatred," "hate speech," "spew," "bigots" (again) and "hate" (again).
Wow, you sure are a HATER, Mr. Mohammedan. However, considering your violent, vicious, hate-filled "religion," that's no surprise!
A funny thing is when the Mohammedan says: "Bobby, the reality is NO ONE cares about your views" -LOL! Oh, is that right? Apparently the Mohammedan is the one not living in "reality!"
Bedier - you are one ugly dude, and I don't mean physically. I mean on the inside. You are a crippled and twisted human. On the contrary, Robert Spencer is a human filled with dignity, integrity, truth, courage, and intellect. Oh I know - you're just JEALOUS and wish you could be like him!

Robert:
Isn't there a more basic deception by this fellow, when he alludes to the evidence required to prove adultery?
Yes, he is implicitly endorsing stoning when he alludes to that requirement, but more significantly, isn't he practicing a gross deception?
It is absurd and meaningless to, on the one hand (as one of the panelists did) emphasize the grave wrong of adultery justifying an equally grave punishment, and then, on the other hand, to establish impossible (actually ludicrous and irrational) standards of proof.
In reality, all the proof anyone needs of any crime is a confession. Or does a woman's confession against penal interest only count for half, and is thus inadequate? And in mohammed-worship, I highly doubt that a corroboration rule is required, or that there is much delicacy about how the confession is extracted. Do you need four witnesses when there is illegitimate pregnancy?
How did those Iranian women get condemned? I am willing to bet it was not by four witnesses.
In other words, I suspect it is far, far easier to condemn a woman to stoning.

Off-topic, but it should be pointed out that the four witness rule is a typical crack-pot idea arising from the demented narcissism of mohammed. His child bride Aisha was reported to have had sex with another man, and although mohammed might have believed it, he instituted this hare-brained rule of law to protect himself from the unbearable consequences to his precious ego.
The REAL point of the rule, as stated by the CAIR mohammed-worshipper, is the 80 lashes for the alleged false reporter. In other words, it is a "venerable" rule of law ultimately based on mohammed's tyrannical threat of severe punishment if anyone dare threaten his precious ego by saying Aisha had sex with another man.
Why do I think islam is very much like the religion Bill Clinton would invent?

Okay. Fess up numero deuxieme. I've never actually clicked on the youtube.com video segments before, i.e. those you gave that accompany your articles and talk points. I'm a greying old duffer who mistrusts those new fangled electronic devices commonly known as computers.
So this is my first click-on, as it were.
And boy, what a learning curve.
Mr Spencer, you've been accused many times of being a "provocateur", as an "inflamer of passions" and "a mis representer of truth".
You, if this video segment is any reflection, are way too soft on those scumbags who, in this case, explain away the disgusting murder that was filmed.
Boy oh boy.
Never, in my life, have I been so disgusted by the abject pathetic excuses, non excuses, lame segues and non sequitors, as given by the video interviewees.
What a bunch of _______ ( fill in blank )
They watched the murder, on video, of some poor women, and then leant on each other to explain it all away.
Those panelists were a bunch of mysogynist shits. Apologies to any shits
You really are way too nice, Mr Spencer.

CAIR is a bunch of bullies that complain time and time again about their rights being violated. Then they like to violate the rights of others. They constantly harrass and boycot and sue people who they think hurt their feelings. These guys need to learn how to respect other peoples opinions and freedoms just like they expect us to respect their rights. They complain about "islamiphobia" all day long but then they turn around and justify the very things that make their religion seem insane and cruel. I don't think that these people should be taken seriously at all. They are cry babies. They don't belong here, they have an agenda that doesn't fit into our lifestyles here in the U.S. They have been busted for crimes and still they expect to be looked at like they are a ligitimate organization. They should all be sued for slander, and for frivolous lawsuits. They need to be treated the way they treat others. They give Muslims a bad name. Plus, Mr. Cooper is homely and I don't like to see him on the TV. We should build a country in the Mid east just for them and see how that flies. They would then understand how Israel feels because they would be no more welcome then they are.

I organized a protest with ten other old duffers, to be held in front of a mosque down the street, but the nurse would not unlock the door.

Bedier cannot publicly condemn stoning. If he did, his fellow Muslim extremists may stone him.
This guy is a coward Islamists from the word go.
Expecting anyone who works with the yapping militant dogs at CAIR to do anything that condemns Muhammad's false religion is simply an act of futility.
He, along with the rest of his bunch, is a puke.

If I remember correctly, that accusation that "no one" is reading Jihad Watch was the inspiration to install the sitemeter hit counter.
Given CAIR's propensity to inflate Muslim numbers in the US, that was yet another example of the pot calling the kettle black.

ewha1...I never considered this before, but I bet a colostomy bag is completely out of a muslims frame of reference. I know that this is off topic, but the subject needs to be explored. I wonder what the Quran or ahadith say about it? Probably not much, I have not come across it yet, but I will keep my eye open for any Quranic revelations about colostomy bags. This could open up a brand new field of Islamic studies...

It is telling that the Muslim religious leader knows little about Christianity. I've talked with young muslims and discovered they are told all sorts of silliness. I was told that no where in the New Testament is Jesus worshipped as a god. How about Thomas saying "My Lord and My God" after placing his hand in the wounds of the resurrected Jesus.
Muslims, since they assume the Koran is perfect, never test whether it is perfect. Indeed, they are not allowed to test this, nor is anyone else on pain of death. Consider how few critical scholars there are on Islam. This is why I think Islam is evil. Any religion that will not allow itself to be tested by the critical light of reason, is a dangerous belief system. Like people, those who can not be criticized are unable to be in relationship with others. They must either dominate or eliminate "the other" since it is a threat to their pure belief in themselves. It is individual and collective pride, Satan's favorite sin.
How me where Muslims are significantly and truly humble in reflecting on their religion and I'll show you a flying goat.

Abscedere,
Where did Christianity ever prescribe stoning? It's been a while, but what I remember is Jesus telling the crowd: let him who is without sin cast the first stone. (And who among us is without sin?)
What did Jesus or the apostles ever say that could be interpreted to mean stoning is good?
Thanks.

Does anyone have a copy of that letter sent by the Florida Congresswoman to Bedier?
I have it on my other computer, but it's in storage.
I would love to share it with the "old duffer" to give him an idea what a snake in the grass good old Ahmed is.
He tried to get her to support some effort of his and when when refused he attacked her Christian beliefs and sort of threatened her.

Bedier declines to condemn the practice while noting that all three "monotheistic religions" prescribe it -- a false claim, and one that is belied by the fact that only some Muslims, and no Christians and Jews, are praticing it today.
.............................
The story of the Woman Taken in Adultery is one of the most famous in the Bible, and Christ's saying "Those of you who are without sin, may cast the first stone" is one of the most frequently cited quotes. It could be argued that this is not to be interpreted as a blanket condemnation of stoning; however, I can find no evidence that Christians ever practiced stoning. The first Christian martyr, Stephen, was a victim of stoning by a mob.
While stoning is noted in the Torah, it is clear from this frequently-cited and very disturbing Hadith that by Mohammed's time the Jews had abandoned the savage practice of stoning, in favor of non-lethal shaming. Far from considering this ethical or more civilized, Mohammed condemns the Jews for their mercy:.
From the Hadith Sahih:
The Jews came to Allah's Apostle and told him that a man and a woman from amongst them had committed illegal sexual intercourse. Allah's Apostle said to them, "What do you find in the Torah (old Testament) about the legal punishment of Ar-Rajm (stoning)?" They replied, (But) we announce their crime and lash them." Abdullah bin Salam said, "You are telling a lie; Torah contains the order of Rajm." They brought and opened the Torah and one of them solaced his hand on the Verse of Rajm and read the verses preceding and following it. Abdullah bin Salam said to him, "Lift your hand." When he lifted his hand, the Verse of Rajm was written there. They said, "Muhammad has told the truth; the Torah has the Verse of Rajm. The Prophet then gave the order that both of them should be stoned to death. ('Abdullah bin 'Umar said, "I saw the man leaning over the woman to shelter her from the stones."
I consider this last line to be the most affecting thing I have read in the Qu'ran or the Hadith, and it concerns a *victim* of Islam. Whatever this man's other moral shortcomings, he shows himself to be far more human than his killers.
Faith Freedom has a whole article on Mohammed-approved stonings:
http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/stoning.htm
No Jew or Christian suggests stoning as a punishment today--in fact, not for *millenia*. Only Islam continues this barbaric practice.
It should also be noted that while we tend to think of adultery as meaning extra-marital sex, many Muslims also consider those involved in pre-marital consensual sex, any sort of homosexual sex, and even *the victims of rape* to be adulterers.

After watching the Bedier interview above, I learned the following:

"Stoning exists in Christianity also" (it doesn't matter that Christianity condemns it, while Islam practices it.)

Obviously these Muslim zombies are prevaricating disgustingly. The only honest person was the initial imam who said correctly that this is simply the Koran or what he believes is Allah’s recitation on the matter that must be obeyed. The Old Testament also proclaims this garbage.
Why do people believe such obvious garbage? Because being a zombie is so easy while rational truth seeking is so hard and yanks that opiated pacifier right out of one's mouths.

Posted by: KoranKrusher at January 12, 2008 10:57 AM
We knew before, didn't we? He stands with every other devout and practicing muslim and believes that the bullshit in the qur'an is the immutable word of allah, and therefore he is obligated to accept it without question.
What a shame he has to stutter, hesitate, ad lib, and make lame excuses for his pathetic, evil religion. He should hold his malevolent head up high and proudly admit that the qur'an is allah's perfect mandate for mankind and that he cannot question one word in it because allah the almighty expects total submission from its servile subjects. He wouldn't have to be so evasive if he wasn't living and thriving in the Great Satan, which has not yet and will never be subjugated under the putrid filth of islam.
Muslims are hypocrites, liars, deceivers, and utter fools. Being terrified of and fettered to the whims of an unknowable, capricious, and cruel god is a muslim's miserable fate, accepted without question. So muslims cannot appreciate or understand the tremendous power and tenacity generated by free will. They underestimate the strength of free people at their own peril, and their attempts to obfuscate the truth of their vile religion will fail. It might take a while, but the truth always prevails.

Stoning could become a Community event. A form of entertainment. See, nothing cruel and unusual about that anymore.
It could be a whole new Family event on Friday Nights. Even Syndicated for the Best of Friday Night Rocks.

No place in the gospel of Jesus Christ is stoning approved.
When a woman was going to stoned, Jesus Christ, who is sin less, said
“He who is without sin cast the first stone’.
Jesus pardoned the women, and said “go and sin no more”,
Jesus DID NOT say “do it again and I’ll stone you”.
Islam makes up what ever it wants to justify its sharia law.
Ahmed Bedier is a lier.
