Some Pentagon officials rallying to support ousted Islamic law expert

Here is some good news on the firing of Steve Coughlin. "Coughlin backed," by Bill Gertz in the Washington Times (thanks to Sr. Soph):

Some Pentagon and military leaders, along with lots of working-level officials, are quietly rallying to support ousted Joint Staff counterterrorism analyst Stephen Coughlin.

Pentagon officials said a number of generals and admirals who share Mr. Coughlin's well-reasoned assessment of the Islamic law underpinnings of Islamist terror are voicing support for the lawyer and former military intelligence official.

Mr. Coughlin was fired as a Joint Staff contractor after his confrontation with Hasham Islam, a special assistant to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, was reported here last month.

Mr. Islam, a Muslim, referred to Mr. Coughlin as a "Christian zealot with a pen" during the meeting several weeks ago, a slur rejected by Mr. Coughlin's supporters.

Critics of Mr. Coughlin are spreading word — falsely — that he is being let go because he talked out of school to the press. One official suggested the action was due to budget cuts.

But defense and military officials supportive of Mr. Coughlin said the real reason is that critics, like Mr. Islam. want him sidelined because they oppose his hard-to-refute views on the relationship between Islamic law and Islamist jihad doctrine. Those views have triggered a harsh debate challenging the widespread and politically correct view of Islam as a religion of peace hijacked by extremists.

"Steve Coughlin is the most knowledgeable person in the U.S. government on Islamic law," said retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney. "The secretary of defense should ensure that he stays at DOD."

Why quietly? Come on Pentagon and military leaders, being quite will not save you.

Still good to see some resistance.

Waiting for the video:

Steve Emerson was on Hannity & Colmes today discussing this case, including the 5th column and treason on behalf of Islam in the Pentagon, CIA & FBI.
Hannity was cool with it, Skeletor annoyed with the usual interruptions, but I'm still waiting for somebody who taped it to put it up on youtube.

Sheik yer'mami has the story here:

From above:

There are signs that those working within the Pentagon have begun to explore and realize the undeniable connection between Islamic law and jihad.

As Martha would say . . .that's a VERY GOOD THING!

Now, about that bigot, Hesham Islam . . . why is he not fired for his obvious bias ?

Mr. Coughlin as a "Christian zealot with a pen"

Here is a test question for islam apologists. Why can't the majority "moderate muslims" hijack islam back from the tiny element of "extremist muslims"?

I heard a story yesterday about an American high school lad who was telling a fellow student that he was fearful of 300,000,000 extremist muslims. A Berkley educated politically correct faculty teacher looked up and accusingly asked about the figure, "300,000,000?" He replied don't you read the Pew research reports, 30% of 1,000,000,000 is 300,000,000!

I've been reading Coughlin's paper, “To Our Great Detriment, Ignoring What Extremists Say About Jihad". This is a really useful, well-written, comprehensive, relevant and valuable document. It provides an in-depth analysis of the legal basis of jihad and I urge all of you to download it and read it. I can honestly say this is the most useful thing I have come across for a while:

From article

"Steve Coughlin is the most knowledgeable person in the U.S. government on Islamic law," said retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney. "The secretary of defense should ensure that he stays at DOD."

Wonder if you would feel that way if you were still on active duty there general? You guys sure do find your voice AFTER retiring. Too bad most of you are a bunch of promotion- and Pentagon job-seeking politicians while in uniform.

Once you understand, that this "war against terror" is not supposed to be won, but to be prolonged, everything starts to make sense. This is in fact a war against the citizens of America, to strip them of their money and freedoms. But to achieve that, the government must uphold the lie: "Islam is peace".

I recommend to watch the movie Zeitgeist.

Rather than terminate Coughlin's contract, they should immediately have a independant investigation into how many Islamic infiltrators are advising our dhimmi polititions?
How did they get there? (referred by CAIR?)
Why is some islamist's ego (H.I.) more important than Coughlin's First Amendment rights?
With Hesham Islam's security clearance unconfirmed and his suspected ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, how on earth did this Islamic traitor even GET ACCESS to this report?
dlp: I've read the report. Long (over 330 pages) but very well documented and factually disturbing!

The appointment of the dastardly Robert Gates, a career jihad-aider, to the position of Secretary of Defense, pushed the Pentagon down to a new low. The US government and military are now competing in dhimmitude with Eurabia. We need a man of courage in the White House.
Vote for Rudy and pray it is not too late.
