At least a few Army officers in Egypt apparently want to pursue the jihad against Israel, and the Camp David Accords can take the hindmost. "Al-Jazeera: Egyptian cell plotted Israel attack," from the Jerusalem Post (thanks to Gabrielle Goldwater):
Egyptian authorities arrested approximately two months ago a 14-member terror cell comprised of engineers and army officers that was planning to carry out terror attacks against Israel under the auspices of al-Qaeda, Al-Jazeera reported Saturday.The cell-members were planning to assemble an unmanned aircraft to attack targets inside Israel, the report said, quoting Egyptian defense officials.
The cell allegedly manufactured rockets similar in design to those used by Palestinian terror groups. According to the report, the head of the cell - an engineer from the University of Alexandria - visited Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and met with a number of Afghan men, allegedly members of al-Qaeda.

The shouldn't over do it.. there are surely a few engineers of our own who can construct a vessel that would be capable of delivering a nice fat payload say during the hajj.

Gee, army officers and...engineers?!?! I've been told that terrorists come from poor and uneducated backgrounds and are just dupes that get tricked into misunderstanding their respected imams. watch the spin machine on this one, or it will probably just get buried like so many other stories like this one.

....would they also be some of the "engineers and army officers" who strive to keep the roads open to Gaza and who routinely deliver weapons to the Palestinians in Gaza.....and who claim to be guarding Egypts borders to prevent illegal shipments of weapons to Palestinians and other terrorist groups.....would these be some "engineers and army officers" spending some of the millions of dollars of foreign aid money given to them...?
...no more foreign aid money to Muslim Countries...not one more dime....

Can someone explain the absolute group stupidity that is Washington DC? Maybe we should fund a scientific study to find out how so many stupid people could be gathered in one place. In most closed soceties, the natural selection process thins out the undesirables of a population. The weak die off and the strong survive and perpetuate a stronger next generation. But this place defies nature and actually reproduces the least desirable members. So each administration seems to be stupider than the previous.
It's like a star trek convention on steroids.
