Jihadist professor still waging courtroom jihad

It has been a long time since we had a...Rumpled Academic Update. But Sami Al-Arian, having been definitively exposed as a jihadist and having pled guilty to terror-related charges, is a true believer to the end, and is still waging a courtroom jihad.

"Court denies Fla. ex-professor's appeal," from AP (thanks to Sr. Soph):

ATLANTA - A former Florida college professor who pleaded guilty to aiding a Palestinian terrorist group was not immune from a subpoena forcing him to testify in an unrelated probe of Muslim charities, an appeals court ruled Friday.

Sami Al-Arian, 50, had argued the terms of the plea agreement exempted him from testifying before a grand jury in an investigation of Islamic charities in Virginia.

A federal judge disagreed and found Al-Arian guilty of contempt when he refused to testify.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied Al-Arian's appeal Friday, ruling that federal prosecutors did not violate the plea agreement by forcing him to testify in the Virginia case.

Al-Arian, a former computer engineering professor at the University of South Florida, was acquitted on eight counts of aiding the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. After a six-month trial, jurors deadlocked on nine other counts.

He pleaded guilty in 2006 to one count of providing services to members of the terrorist group, rather than face a retrial. He was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison and will be deported after serving the sentence.

And every lover of freedom should hoist a Carlsberg in celebration when he is gone.

Come to think of it.. I'll have a Heineken.

Prost, Mr. Geert Wilders.

And is Al-Arian's daughter still working for John Esposito? Or has she gone on to some other employment, possibly for the American operation of Al Jazeera, or in some Muslim-Outreach program, or in Ellison's office, or possibly at the International Crisis Group, working for Robert ("Rob") Malley (a curious name for someone of Syrian Muslim or islamochristian descent, with that sure-and-begorrah county-galway hint of "O'Malley" apophonically rendered), who lists himself as a "supporter of Hillary Clinton" but also as an "adviser to Barack Obama" on the Middle East. And all the while, Malley continues his sinister work on behalf of the Lesser Jihad against Israel. Remember, you don't have to be a Muslim to support that (or any other) Lesser Jihad; being an islamochristian intensely aware of an Arab ethnic "identity" that is connected to Islam is enough, and if you seek examples of the phenomena, look at Hanan Ashrawi, Nabil Ateek, Michel Sabbag, Edward Said, Mazin Qumsiyeh. Utterly oblivious to the real threat to Christian Arabs (as to Christian non-Arab users-of-Arabic, such as the Copts and Maronites), these people pretend to themselves that by joining, parroting, promoting that Lesser Jihad against Israel, they will somehow be defending "Uruba" ("Arabness"), and protecting the Christian Arabs whom, they know but refuse to tell Westerners, are under constant Muslim threat. It's the same thing that other Christian Arabs have tried, in their own way, to deal with or avoid dealing with: just look at Michel Aflaq, the ideological father of Ba'athism, which he saw as a version of pan-Arabism that would make room, political and social, for Christian Arabs in Muslim Arab societies. One more attempt, hopeless in the end, to avoid seeing Islam plain, and the dhimmi fate that naturally awaits all non-Muslims, even if they parrot the Islamic line on Israel, or America, or the West, or anything else. And those Arab islamochristians who do learn, always seem to learn too late.

I believe Al-Arian is afraid that if he takes the stand he'll perform Taqqiya to "aid the Ummah" and will be exposed to charges of perjury. Not that he cares about committing perjury in a Kafur Court, it's the fact the Infidels have physical custody of him and will punish him further for it. This would mean a further delay for him before he could hit the EU media/propaganda circuit and spill his America is evil over there. He will do this to undermine any attempt by the resistance in Eurabia from gaining ground.

He’ll claim injustice and racism and all sorts of PC drivel to help the Mohammedan form common ground with the Socialist Bureaucrats by trumpeting their common battle cry of "The West is worst and the East is best."

If you don’t believe me, just watch how the Socialist Bureaucrats try to undermine Dutch MP Geert Wilder’s free speech. They will use defamation of a "Protected Cult" and/or the need for “National Security” to destroy his freedoms and their own sovereignty.

Al-Arian "was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison and will be deported after serving the sentence."

If he were an American citizen, they would not add deportation, meaning he would be out in 5 years and likely at that time receive help from any one of numerous MESA departments around the US to get some kind of academic job back.

USF has had a long running history of harboring Islamic malcontents. Back in 1994 I lived just off campus in a small neighborhood of cluster homes. One of my neighbors worked at USF -- she was responsible for reimbursing student groups for their various activities (e.g., the Black Student Union would host a job fair and submit an invoice to be reimbursed for drinks, ice, decorations, etc.). She told me a story about an Islamic Student Group that submitted an invoice to her for approximately $500. When she requested that they provide receipts to confirm the purchases, they told her they did not have receipts. She told them 'tough luck -- no receipts, no reimbursement'. This was not well received by the students -- in fact, they waited outside the building and confronted my neighbor when we left at the end of the day. If memory serves me correctly, she quoted them as saying "you better pay us the money or the Muslim brotherhood will make your life miserable". She told them no and tried to leave but they blocked her from getting in to her car. They eventually moved aside but the attempt to intimidate was clear. A couple of evenings later she heard someone in her backyard -- this was the reason she relayed this story to me because she was concerned that the Islamic goons might make good on their threat. Keep in mind, she was former LAPD and not easily intimidated.

I don't believe anything more came of this episode but it was clearly a sign that USF's Muslim community was looking to take advantage of their Infidel hosts.

The chase is afoot my dear Watson.

Riddle me this folks .

If this Jihadist yahoo has had CAIR on his side asserting he's innocent then why would he now be so adament to deny giving evidence about something he claims he's innocent of?

You would think that he has nothing to say because he knows nothing based on CAIR portraying him as being Framed on bogus charges and forcing him to admit to Hamas ties while under Threat by the Bush Government.

CAIR can't have it both ways , and since this Jihadist states that he 'Refuses' to give evidence pretty well tells me he has evidence but won't aid the USA in preventing future Terrorists attack against Civilians Globally.
This alone should raise flag at the U.N. that every Nation on Earth is now under siege by Islamic based mass murders perverting the Quran and Muhammad's peaceful teachings.....Right?
So lets see if CAIR and the U.N. want to fight this Global threat to all of Gods children and not just the Muslim-God created by Muhammad.

I thought that I had read that this pudd was on some sort of hunger strike in jail, and was very weak and frail. What happened to that? Guess maybe he got on a Reverend Jim Sutter type diet and gained a bunch of weight back, giving him the strength to once again waste the taxpayer's money and the court's time.
