"Religion of terrorism"? Oh Trevor, you Islamophobe
Let it be remembered exactly how Trevor Brooks, aka Omar Brooks, aka Abu Izzadeen actually "heckled" the Home Secretary. He said, "John Reid should not come to a Muslim area, we do not want to see him." One wonders if he would even accept the proposition that John Reid and the government he represented had any authority over that "Muslim area."
"Islamic preacher 'recruited terrorists for Iraq,'" by Duncan Gardham in the Telegraph (thanks to PRCS):
A radical preacher who heckled the Home Secretary tried to recruit Muslims to fight British soldiers in Iraq and raise money for terrorists, a court has been told.Trevor Brooks, who uses the names Omar Brooks and Abu Izzadeen, and six co-defendants, claim their arrest in 2007 was "politically motivated" because Brooks once interrupted a speech made by John Reid when he was home secretary, the court heard.
In a video played to the jury, one of the accused, Abdul Rehman Saleem, praised Osama bin Laden and said Islam was a "religion of terrorism".He said: "Terrorism against the kuffar [non-believers], terrorism against those that terrorise us, terrorism against those that terrorise our women and children. Yes we have terrorised them so when they call you terrorist, be proud to have that title."
I trust Salam Al-Marayati of MPAC and Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR are on their way to Britain now to explain to Brooks how he is misunderstanding Islam.
As the audience at Regents Park Mosque in central London, joined in, he chanted: "Oh Allah support Sheikh Osama, Oh Allah destroy America."Destroy the kafir wherever they are. Let their blood run in the mountains of Afghanistan, let their women become widows, may their children become orphans, let them be bombed. Let death come to them by the hands of the mujahideen [holy fighters]."
"Destroy the kafir wherever they are" is, of course, a quote of the Qur'an's notorious Verse of the Sword, sura 9:5, usually rendered in English as "slay the unbelievers wherever you find them."
Kingston Crown Court, in south-west London, was told that the speakers referred to the September 11 hijackers as the "magnificent 19" and the audience clapped those who had "chosen to answer the call by becoming martyrs".When police arrived, after being called by mosque security staff, they were forced from the building by the angry crowd....

If a Christian bishop writes about "No-Go" areas in the UK, it is considered hate speech. "Trevor" has confirmed that there are no-go areas for infidels in Britain.

Perhaps he has been recieving counsel from his local member of parliament or even had goodies sent in to prison from Ken Livingstone.
Seriously though, this odious bigotted loudmouth and his cronies was given free reign in London for far to long - even after our government and authorities were bombarded by complaints and appeals to take these people off the streets.
It took a mass murder on the underground for them to finally act and round them up.
Hindsight is a good thing but I wonder whether the bombers would have been able to execute their plan if the authorities had the green light to bring them in.

Whenever we read or hear about these islamic preachers of hate and their extremist mosques, everyone complains that they are never prosecuted, example the cartoon demos outside the danish embassy. Well, many of those demonstrators were prosecuted (albeit not enough of them). The government appears to get round to arresting these hate mongers in their own time, they allow the problem to fester, for years and then they go in for the arrest.
Abu Hamza, another example.
The only problem is the length of the sentencing and what happens to these preachers of hate once they are incarcerated. They, for the most part, as far as I have researched, have been "allowed? to continue their deadly sermons.
I hope that this brooks chap to be kept in solitary confinement once he is placed under her majesty's care.

To be brutally honest here - "Clever Trevor", is not alone.
As an indigenous Englishman, I too, echo the sentiments of this radical zealot, and hope that John Reid, also keeps well away from my neighbourhood.
John Reid - a former communist, - is far more of a problem, than that of a solution to Islamism and Multiculturalism in my country today.

He was born in Hackney, East London to a family originally from Jamaica. Brooks converted to Islam in 1994, changing his name to Omar, but preferring to be called Abu Izadeen. He is fluent in Arabic.
He trained and once worked as an electrician. He no longer works, living instead off state benefits of £700 a month. He and his Arab-born wife Mokhtaria were married in 1998; they have three children.
In 2006, he had a personal advertisement on an Islamic matrimonial website, seeking to marry up to three more wives in order to father more than nine children. Polygamy is illegal in the UK. Izzadeen did not respond to questions from the Evening Standard about the ad and it has since been removed.
He wanted more brats and he wants the English tax payer to support them

The British "bobbies" need to bring their guns next time they respond to trouble at a mosque. It's a bit more difficult for an angry crowd to "force" the police from the building when the police are armed with more than polite requests. The whole "Islam is Peace" propaganda campaign has deneutered the British population including the police. Disgraceful.

Would the people tolerate laws that would allow just such a move to be made? Bringing people in who "had committed no crime"? On what basis would the police have been able to detain them? All you'd hear is "profiling". My guess is you'd hear it from a lot of people who aren't Muslims. They are people who don't want their own rights trampled upon and think that is the ultimate aim of such a law.
There are usually backups anyway. One guy ends up in jail and there's someone else, another martyr, ready and willing to take his place.

Mohammed sidiqqi khan - the ring leader of the London bombers had already previously appeared on MI5's radar and filmed with another known extremist (himself now in custody)yet they did nothing.
If "profiling" means looking at then rounding up zealots like Sparky Brooks mentioned above then so be it.
I myself have no problem with that at all.
If their co-religionists have a problem with it they will have to get their house in order won't they?
As for the glorious wannabe martyr "backups" you mention, well they are massively outnumbered by the enormous amount of backups of civilsed decent law abiding citizens who will fight these people to the finish - and the defeat of islamic extremism and terrorism.

It's not 'hate' or 'rage' I see in that man's face - it's an utterly insufferable expression of sneering contempt. Anyone else see that?
I am reminded of the words of James Parkes, in 'Whose Land', his history of the land of Israel, who when speaking of Islam, describes "the intolerant and intolerable belief in his [own] superiority, exhibited by the most ignorant Muslim in the presence of the Christian patriarch or Jewish rabbi’.
Where are the Three Stooges? Monty Python? That face is just crying out for an application of custard pie, real bad.
If non-Muslim societies had any sense at all, then while we do still have an overwhelming physical majority within our borders; while our police force and army are still majority non-Muslim; now is the time to take Ali Sina's excellent advice, and mock, and mock, and mock, without mercy, (using always truth and nothing but truth) these arrogant, sneering fools, all puffed up with wholly baseless pride; and then, if so be they turn on the mockers like mad dogs, to squash them implacably with the full force of the law.
They can get away with their arrogance, in places where they have power of life and death over the dhimmis. But they do not yet have that power here...do they?

One problem is the non-Muslims. Profiling? It had become a dirty word in America before 9/11 and it had nothing to do with terrorism. Will the rest of the country tolerate the suggestion of infringements on their right to privacy?
How DO you pick people up before they have committed a crime, unless you had them under surveillance and were monitoring their communications? Even if you were doing all of those things, on what basis do you give authorities the green light to detain someone who hasn't done anything illegal YET?

Of course we massively outnumber the wannabe martyrs but they are the ones who always get to make the first move. Sure we'll fight them, but only after they have attacked us. Even then, we play by the rules. We use the law to punish those who took part. Assuming the actual bombers are dead, we don't punish their families. The only ones left to go after are those who created the bombs or masterminded the operation, and that assumes those people are within your reach and you can prove their involvement. They will always pick the time and place, unless and until we decide to wage more than a reactive war.
There are simply too many people to detain. You're not likely to prevent something like this from happening as long as the perpetrators have never been in trouble with the law and appear to be upright citizens of their community. You can't watch everyone. The only answer is prevention - get all of them out of your community. But we can't do that, either. It's against the law. It's a violation of their rights. We can't punish people who haven't (yet) broken the law.

I agree, and I thought my life was self centered. If this is in anyway representative of half of the male muslim population, no wonder they are willing to kill themselves. This is stuff a seven or eight year old worries about when he first notices himself.
To think of the sermons that have been preached on these subject. On top of that, the arrogance that is portrayed by these narrow minded idiots have like this jerk of this thread.
