AN ARTICLE praising the September 11 hijackers and videos of Muslim extremists beheading hostages were found in raids on a home-grown terror cell, a court heard yesterday.A "common library" of terror manuals and videos was shared by group members and was designed to stir them up to commit violent jihad, prosecutor Richard Maidment, SC, said.
He said Abdullah Merhi was found with a book entitled The 19 Lions, which heaped praise on those involved in the attacks on the World Trade Centre and Pentagon in 2001 that killed almost 3000 people.
"It glorifies the 19 aircraft hijackers responsible . . . and hails them as martyrs, suggesting they will go down in history for perpetrating one of the greatest victories that has ever been perpetrated in the name of Islam," he said.
"It is all designed to incite would-be pursuers of jihad to pursue violent jihad and to stir themselves to get on and do it."
The Victorian Supreme Court jury was told the book says the 19 were "martyrs" who made a glorious and noble oath to carry out the terror attack, and it terrified non-believers "to their very core".
Another document held by seven alleged group members, entitled Clarification of what occurred in America, said that the atrocity was justified in Islam.
But of course, this has nothing to do with Islam. Everyone knows that.

It has to be a real drag for Robert and Hugh to have to keep making this obvious point over and over again. But they have to do that. Too many people still don't get it.
All this reminds me of the Jackie Mason joke that the Broadway "Riverdance" was a variation on the same Irish jig, danced over and over again, for over an hour. He said he'd like to that with a variation on one of his jokes and tell it over and over again on a show for over an hour.

of course the great victorywas for the 19 terrorists, if you believe they got the 72 virgins. But for the 3000 dead. Here was not a victory, and anyone that thinks it was a mentally ill in my opinion

If this is what this moron calls a victory, I'd hate to see what he considers a defeat. It did America no strategic harm whatsoever (I am not speaking of the grief for the 3000 foully murdered citizens and foreign workers) and brought the lumbering superpower, that was hoping to finally reap the oft-mentioned "peace dividend", raging out of its lair. Within two years, two Muslim countries had been permanently occupied by the US, and the jihadis were having to fight in their own back yard. Had it not been for feckless leadership both from the US and from their allies, the strategic situation in the whole Middle East would have tilted towards permanent Western control. If these are victories, I'll have a double helping of setback, thank you very much.

I think I can speak for more than myself that it didn't so much "terrified" us as it disgusted and enraged us.
The only thing that is truly terrifying is the degree of brainwashing that is possible by use of the M. KKKoranmpf.

It didn't terrify as much as horrify. There's no reason not to admit a feeling of horror. It's something these jihadists are incapable of. Nothing horrifies them, unless it's someone's cartoon drawing.
