A Tiny Minority of Extremists™ in Gaza rages against free speech and free inquiry.
From AP:
Palestinian Hamas supporters march during a demonstration against the re-publication of drawings of the Prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers, in Jebaliya, northern Gaza Strip, Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. Danish newspapers reprinted cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a gesture of solidarity Wednesday after police revealed a plot to kill the creator of the caricature that sparked deadly riots in the Muslim world. Define irony…
Protests around the world over cartoons of the prophet Mohammad published to demonstrate a belief in free speech. And then I look at the Al Jazeera website and see this…
"Al Jazeera has said a code adopted by Arab states to govern satellite broadcasting could shackle freedom of expression."
You could not make this stuff up!

They ought to be published on a daily basis.
If they are out protesting they can't blow themselves up
at February 15, 2008 2:18 PM
Mr Ape Pig - you got a good point! But sometimes they do indeed kill over these cartoons. They have killed several who were in connection with the publishing of them. I don't remember all of their names, or their particular job that they had, but there were people killed. And when they first came out they killed an old nun, and several others.
Yes, this is indeed the 'religion' for the psychopath. If they can't think of some other reason to kill - just blame a woman for something and then get her ready for a good stoning, or a hanging. Beating them doesn't seem to appease the psychopathic mind all the time.

Why are you all making it out as if it's about free speech. The publishers are cowards hiding behind free speech because they know if they didn't make it out they were defending free speech, people would turn a blind eye and not pay attention to racism and bigotry.
So either you have been coerced into thinking the issue is the defence of free speech or you just despise Islam and Muslims. It's either one or the other.
It doesn't take a genius to realise these cartoons are a blatant attempt to provoke Muslims.
To publish them once fair enough, human error, but to do it a second time after the reaction to the first; it's hard to call these cartoons anything but a provocation.
To depict The Prophet pbuh in such a way is an absolute disgrace and if the law was applied properly; then the fool who created the cartoons would be serving time in jail for inciting violence.
The Western world is unanimous in its support for free speech and see no problem with these cartoons. But all you have to do is scroll down the Jihadwatch homepage to see the double standards of the West. Someone dressed up as a bunny tells children to' eat the Jews', result; worldwide condemnation. And it wasn't only Jihadwatch that reported it by the way.
I agree with you, it should be condemned, as children should not be exposed to these messages of hatred. But then that will make you hypocrites. I mean you don't mind a cartoon that portrays a Prophet of Islam as a terrorist but at the same time you're totally against a children's show telling people - not just children- to 'eat the Jews'.
What makes one thing positive and the other negative to you?
The answer is Islam and Muslims. Islam and Muslims are the common denominators here, because if it the spotlight was on anything other than Islam and Muslims, you would not have supported the papers for printing the cartoons. I would go as far as to say, you would have sympathy for the rioters and feel their actions would be justified.. if they weren't Muslim.
Have you forgotten that even free speech has it's limits. It's not a rule carved in stone, you feel it, it's a human instinct. When you talk about something or someone or a group of people who are not your own i.e they hail from a different part of the world or they are a different colour, you scrutinise your own work to see if you have 'overstepped the boundaries.' These cartoons have gone way too far, a proverbial mile.
Would you call it free speech if the same papers referred to a black man as a 'nigger' or drew cartoons portraying Hitler as hero? I seriously doubt it. So what makes these cartoons different? They are offensive and although what can offend differs from person to person, these cartoons are offensive to a Muslim regardless of his character.

The Islamic hypocrisy is unbelievable. Those morons are the most hypersensitive bunch of whiners to ever walk the Earth, and it all started with mohammed (PissBeUponHim)! They have no problem with a crucifix in a jar of urine, or the "homosexual" Last Supper, or the Virgin Mary portrayed with feces and semen. No Christians/Jews killed or bombed or destroyed or rampaged or demanded those "artist's" heads. Muslims openly celebrate in the streets at any announcement of harm or hurt to the West or its people. Their governments produce and distribute horrific anti-Western/Semitic propaganda and brainwash their children with hate. Iran commissioned a 'cartoon contest' to see who could create the most offensive Jewish/Christian cartoon possible! (thesaracen - want to compare the Danish cartoons to the Iranian ones???) They riot/murder/maim/vandalize/rape/torture/bomb/destroy anything and everything they disagree with. These parasites come to our countries and accept/demand any and all entitlements/welfare/freedoms/acceptance/rights/priveleges available, all the while refusing to integrate and plotting the destruction of their generous hosts from within. They refuse to debate or discuss their unHoly Qur'an that justifies all of their actions. All those "moderate" Muslims vehemently condemn any slight they consider offensive to their beliefs, but they remain damningly silent when THEIR people commit atrocities against "unbelievers".
When is enough ENOUGH? There is no "Golden Rule" in Islam. Either convert, be subjugated and made to feel so, or die, that's the options offered.
Well, personally I will choose death before I will follow the teachings of a psychopathic, murdering, pedophilic false prophet. And I won't go down easy...my friends Smith and Wesson have my back!

The difference that you fail to see is in the call for violence. The cartoons depict Muslims being violent, so you respond with violence. The rabbit openly calls for violence. Do you really not see what is happening here? Violence is NOT the answer.
It’s ok to be “offended”. Islam doesn’t need to call for the cartoonist and publisher to hang! Does Islam teach that you are completely ruled by emotion to the extent that your brain and power of reason have become disconnected?
at February 15, 2008 5:38 PM
"Maybe you're just under-estimating just how huge an insult it is to Muslims."
I don't under-estimate the fact that Muslims riot and kill because they have been 'insulted'. That's silly and that's their problem to overcome. We did. See ItAintRight's post above re: the crucifix in a jar of urine etc. By the way no Christians or Jews rioted or killed anyone. They have grown up.

I think it was gutsy of these newspapers to show solidarity and republish the images. The Muslim communities want respect which is totally understandable - but respect earned through fear and threats of violence is not respect at all. I support them republishing the photos even though I accept that it is inflammatory.
It's sort of Jante Law in action in a way. Muslims want "special treatment" to not be offended or made fun of. I'll cut/paste a little from the wikipedia entry about Jante Law.
"There are ten different rules in the law, but they are all variations on a single theme and are usually referred to as a homogeneous unit: Don't think you're anyone special or that you're better than us....
...It has to be said that the general understanding of the law were an essential and fully integrated part of the Danish and Norwegian societies long before they were ever written down.
The rules are not only applied outwards, Danes apply the rules equally towards themselves. This means that the rules of the Jante Law becomes a sort of social stabilizer where one does not wish to be either too high above or too far below others socially and economic..."
And with that - I'd say Frikadeller and Carlsberg sounds pretty good right now actually.

'Our countries'???????
Like Muslims had nothing to do with making 'your' countries what they are today. Like the Indians didn't help you rebuild after the war. Like the Chinese didn't contribute. The slaves from Africa didn't make your countries what they are today? And still contribute to your countries wealth by 'willingly' giving up every natural resource they have?
Mark my words, These countries your talking about are not 'your' countries. They also belong to every single human being who has contributed.
You will label anything against Muslims. Why don't you do something useful and prove to me they are parasites. Show me the figures which suggest they are sucking your economies dry and sitting at home doing nothing.
The way Jesus pbuh or Mary was portrayed, you know I didn't even hear about it. That tells me that neither you or the media even bothered to care. Your making it out as if it was worldwide news. I'm sure some Christian, somewhere in the world was pissed off about it as would I... If we had heard about it. I don't read the Arts section by the way. I do read the front pages though.
They can't integrate. Now tell me how I would be able to integrate with someone like you. I sure as hell want to integrate. But when everyone is suspicious of you after three guys decided that suicide was the way forward, how the hell am I going to integrate? Your media doesn't give Muslim people a chance and then you blame us for it.
'Muslims are to blame for all our problems'
Economy is in recession... Muslims
Crime rates are soaring... Muslims
I feel bad... Muslims
I can't get a job...Muslims
I'm scared... Muslims
Terrorist atrocities... every Muslim that lives in the West.
The thing you don't seem to understand is that Muslims do care and we're not silent. I care, Yusuf Islam cares and spoke out, Youssef Al- Qaradawi- banned from Britain- cares and spoke out. I could go on all day with names because the list is endless. The problems is, their message is not heard unless you look very hard. The only people who will hear are those looking for it, till then stick with your media, who give you fake pictures of Palestinians celebrating 9/11.
You think we have time to go mosques and come out an hour later baying for the blood of non-believers. Muslims would rather worship their lord and creator in a mosque than take in a dose of hatred from the Imam, who does not provide the dose anyway.
'Muslims want special treatment'
What a bunch of bollocks!!! Did they ask to be feared? Did they ask for special treatment? Treat us equally, which is something the media in the West is not doing.
I will agree that the sensitivity of Muslims is considered (obviously not by the cartoonists) but its the same for every single person who will read or listen or see that publication. Won't Jews be offended if you said something bad about them. In fact say one word about a Jew and you'll see what happens. They would bring that newspaper to it's knees. It's not about fear it's about respecting other people the cartoonists have not shown that, they are not heroes.
Muslim's are not silent regarding the Quran, I have debated with many people on here and so far been able to answer their questions (well most of them)
Finally we Muslims are not on earth to force you to convert. Worship the moon if you wish, you will answer to God, but hear the message first. You will be held accountable for your words about God and Prophet Muhammed pbuh. Whether you listen or not, I'll leave up to you.

To depict The Prophet pbuh in such a way is an absolute disgrace and if the law was applied properly; then the fool who created the cartoons would be serving time in jail for inciting violence.
Why? Are you suggesting that it's a given that Muslims always react violently when their prophet is insulted?
The cartoons don't incite violence, because they don't call for violence against anyone, including Muslims. The violence comes from those offended. And the offended have a choice....choose to react non-violently (e.g. write letters, protest, boycott) or they can react violently (e.g. burn embassies, kill cartoonists). Or they can just ignore it, call them names, and then go on with their lives.
Many Christians were upset over the movies "The DaVinci Code", "The Last Temptation of Christ", and "The Golden Compass". But no one says these movies incite violence. Why? Because Christians, upset as they might've been, didn't react violently to them. Instead, they boycotted and wrote letters/articles/etc. (and in the case of "The Da Vinci Code", lots of churches had seminars to discuss it!). Very civil.
Back in 1977, several Muslims took hostages and killed people partly over their outrage of movie "Mohammad, Messenger of God". So do you blame the makers of that movie for "inciting violence"?

http://www.zipperfish.com/toons/yaafm/yaafm-12-muslims/

You will be held accountable for your words about God and Prophet Muhammed pbuh.
Is condemnation to hell reserved only for ridicule of Muhammed, or for all your Muslim "prophets"?
Good night.

thesaracen....did you by chance take up my suggestion to visit a church in your area? Not suggesting that this is a way to "integrate", but I thought it would help you discover that churches aren't as restrictive and exclusive to non-Christians as you think they are. Sure wish you could come visit mine....you'd be most welcome there. :-)
Btw, I was at mosque today, and not one mention of the cartoons in the khutbah. No one "incited to violence" there, no one noticeably offended. Perhaps some were offended, but they kept it to themselves or had better things to do. Maybe the rioting Muslims might do well to learn from the Muslims I sat with today.

thesaracen, then why don't you put all that passionate effort and sense of fairness of yours into convincing Muslims to stop blowing things up, to stop stoning women, to adhere to human rights, to permit churches and bibles in Saudi Arabia, to convince the Imams to stop calling for the submission, conversion or death of Infidels, convince them to stop threatening to wipe countries off the map, to stop threatening our soldiers online, convince them to stop telling their brothers and sisters not to even shake the hand of an infidel, stop education children that we come from apes and pigs, convince them they should not be calling for the replacement of the American Constitution with Sharia, convince them that all of this is NOT Islam.
And how about working on this:
Sura (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
Sura (5:80) - "You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide." Those Muslims who befriend unbelievers will abide in hell.
Sura (3:28) - "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah..."
Sura (3:118) - "O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people..."
Sura (9:23) - "O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers" Even family members are not to be taken as friends if they do not accept Islam. (This is the mildest interpretation of this verse from the 9th Sura, which also advocates "slaying the unbeliever wherever ye find them").
Sura (53:29) - "Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world."
Sura (3:85) - "And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers."
So, we are the "bigots"? Hmmm?
Instead of attacking us here, why can't Muslims do this:
As Robert Spencer wrote numerous times on this site:
1. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.
2. Renounce definitively not just "terrorism," but any intention to replace the U.S. Constitution (or the constitutions of any non-Muslim state) with Sharia even by peaceful means.
3. Teach Muslims the imperative of coexisting peacefully as equals with non-Muslims on an indefinite basis.
4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.
5. Actively work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.

Look don't get me wrong, there are far better ways to object to the cartoons than rioting. I'm not saying the people who created the cartoons should be killed or harmed in anyway. I'm not justifying the riots either. But you need to delve into the mindsets of these rioters. It's not just one incident that has led to this, politicians- especially in Denmark don't mince their words when it comes to Muslims, the police discriminate against them because they're Muslim, the media, the people. Everything builds up and then these cartoons are published, not once, but twice. Had a Muslim even had pictures of say for example dead coalition soldiers on his computer he would be arrested and charged with terrorism. A Muslim in London dressed up as a suicide bomber at a protest over the cartoons, gets arrested and tried for inciting violence. The BNP get away with inciting violence against Muslims. So the question is why haven't the police or the government taken action against these cartoonists? They have caused a full-scale riot, twice. The rioters see this and feel discriminated, prejudiced against.
yadayada- What can I say, Nation of Islam. Funny how Islam is seen as a bad thing when mainstream Muslims shun the nation of Islam for their racist and absurd views. Their actions are not Islamic because they are not Muslim.
I admire you for going to a mosque. You see for yourself how peaceful, happy and tranquile a Mosque and the people in it are.
I haven't gone to a church myself, no. But it's not something that is against my religion. Knowledge is something that Allah swt encouraged us to seek I would love to go to a church and converse with Christians. And I'm not lying to seek your approval- a character that certain members of Jihadwatch accuse Muslims of. I have no need to lie to you or anyone on here.
The other day, on my way home from University, a woman came up to me. She offered me a book on the bible. A mini bible if you like. Now did I reject her offer and just walk on as if I didn't hear her? NO. I took the book, thanked her for it and went home. I still have it and read it from time to time. Knowledge is the key. If you refuse to seek it because of what other people tell you, you will never gain anything. The beauty and simplicity of Islam is something you can only see if you get it from the reliable sources. Not from the media, or an anti-Islamic website or from the mouth of someone who hates the religion.
If you haven't heard the Quran please at least here this Surah recited by Shiekh Sudais.

None of the groups you listed above were Muslims. By 'Indians', I'm assuming you mean Native Americans, since the US never had and still doesn't have a big Indian population (compared to other immigrant groups). Regardless, none of the groups you listed above were/are Muslims, so yes, Muslims had nothing to do with making our countries what they are today - except for worsening the quality of life wherever they moved.
And still contribute to your countries wealth by 'willingly' giving up every natural resource they have? Mark my words, These countries your talking about are not 'your' countries. They also belong to every single human being who has contributed.Oh, in that case, all the oil that's there in Islamic paradises like KSA, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrein, Libya, Qatar, Oman, et al belong to us, and we can get it without paying trillions to the ummah? After all, as you well know, the Muslims did nothing to either find it, drill it, produce it, refine it or anything. All they did was sit on their big butts and collect the cash proceeds from it, which they instead of using to modernize their countries and societies, blew it either on the most opulent lifestyles, or funneled it to jihadi forces or mosques worldwide.
Also, instead of throwing empty allegations, can you provide examples of all the countries that gave up every natural resource they had in order to contribute to 'our country's wealth'? You've been reading too much third world propaganda.

Posted by: thesaracen
....The Palestinians did celetebrate in the streets as did other Mulsim cities in other Muslim countries...The Palestinians greatly feared a Muslim backlash and took steps to stop the filming of the protests...incidently, most of the photographers were Palestinians....all photographers were forced at gunpoint to stop filming....Why did the Palestinians not want the world to see MUslims celebrating the Islamic attack in America?......
"According to the AP, Israel Radio and the Jerusalem Post, the Palestinians threatened news organizations and their workers in an effort to stop the broadcast of video, and the publishing of photographs, showing large crowds of Palestinians in Nablus and Ramallah joyfully celebrating the deadly 9/11 terrorist attacks against Americans. Presumably they understood that such video and photos would be repugnant to Americans — and millions of others around the world — and might damage their image.
Photographers and stringers (mostly Palestinians themselves) were forced by Palestinian gunmen to stop filming the celebrations (see Agence France Press report), and they were threatened with death if their video was broadcast. The news organizations they work for were told that
everyone from their news organization would lose their access to PA officials and be unable to cover events in PA territory if they broadcast any video or photos of the large celebrations.
An AP photographer was specifically threatened with death if his photos were published. AP has published a report about the threat, but has caved in to the PA's request not to publish these photos.
Thus far, only videos and photos of small crowds celebrating in eastern Jerusalem and Lebanon have been broadcast/published. It appears the Palestinian intimidation tactics are working to keep the most damning scenes from Ramallah and Nablus off American (and worldwide) television screens and out of the newspapers...."

Until then say whatever you want to say, I won't believe it, but your friends will believe anything. Feed them that claim about how Muslims came from the moon and they're not even human.
And no, Muslims did nothing to create those cartoons your media, your war created it.
9/11 had nothing to do with Muslims, one day the truth will come out. It was an excuse to go out there and annex that whole region and replace them with slave governments. Show me proof that I can't
deny. Bring them forward- mugshots and CCTV footage just don't do it for me.
One of your scientists objects to the story from the government, two days later he goes on paid leave. What is it your hiding?

For a moment, I thought it was the Chicago suburb of Bridgewood. It is hard to tell the difference nowadays. The Main Street USA is rapidly turning into the Arab Street.

Don't any of these idiots ever have jobs to go to?
How do they have time for all of these Petulant Parades of Apoplexy?
(Sorry, that's all the commenting I can do... got to get back to work.)

Thesaracen,
You said this against me:
boneshack you're pasting some hymn- where's your bible? give me a link to that.
Since you're too lazy to look it up (in spite of the fact you are a student at some lame university), and can't do some basic research, and can't even bother to acquaint yourself with the Holy Bible, I guess I'll have do that for you.
The Lord's Pray can be found in the Holy Bible in Matthew, Chapter 6. But of course, being the good Muslim you are, you don't have a Bible on your bookshelf. So here's an on-line link:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&version=9
Since you won't bother to follow the link, I'll repeat the passage here (for your convenience):
7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11. Give us this day our daily bread.
12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Verse 7 says a a lot. So, let's go back you your post (Feb 15, 8.40p) about Surah 55 (Rahman). There are a total of 78 versus.
We find this ayat several times:
Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?
How many times? Let me count..oh, 31 times...
If I want to listen to an opera singer, I'll let you know next time.
Before you admonish me with this kind of intellectual vacuity, you, dear Sir, should do your homework.

Our Saracen comrade is upset at cartoons of Muhammad. They insult Muslims; they are provocative, etc.
Saracen lives in a glass house and he doesn't even know it. The Arab press has been publishing very vicious cartoons against Jews for many years, long before the Muhammad cartoons. Several compilations of these cartoons have been made. Here are two compilations:
Aryeh Stav, Arab Antisemitism in Cartoons: After "Peace" (Sha`arey Tiqvah, Israel: Ariel Center for Policy Research, ca. 1996), 29 pp, large format.
Arie Stav [or Aryeh Stav], Peace: An Arab Caricature (Tel Aviv: Zmora Bitan 1996), 248 p, large format, in Hebrew השלום: קריקטורה ערבית
I believe that this book was also published in an English edition, perhaps by Gefen Publishers, Jerusalem. But I don't know the exact title of the English version.
So Saracen, you get your brethren, your Ikhwan, to stop publishing vicious anti-Jewish cartoons and then I'll commiserate with you over the Muhammad cartoons. Otherwise, I will just to have to conclude that you are a hypocrite who lives in a glass house.

....as usual you are wrong.....the idea for the cartoons came from the incessant bombings attributable to Islamic MUslims....the cartoon with the bomb in the turbin clearly demonstrates what in on the Muslims minds...(HINT: a bomb)...bombings are what Muslims teach their children. bombings are what Muslim prefer to do (anytime, anywhere, even against other Muslims)...when one looks across the globe these days and notices that where ever a bomb goes off, there is usually a Muslim group claiming gleefull credit for it...(not to mention that the prefered bombing target seems to be "other Muslims")....you might argue that the cartoon insults Islam, maybe, the cartoon mocks Islamic thought.....or intentions....the war did not create the idea for the cartoons, Muslim jidhad tactics and Mulim hate for life did....
"9/11 had nothing to do with Muslims, one day the truth will come out. It was an excuse to go out there and annex that whole region and replace them with slave governments. Show me proof that I can't

....evidently the words from the mouths of Osama Bin-Laden and Al-Zawahiri do not do it for you either...Both have said in filmed broadcasts and on radion and in print , that they ordered the 9/11 attack..bin Laden said he did so because of injustices against the Lebanese and Palestinians by Israel and the United States.....
"
So please consider the following verses from the Spoils of War surah: Qur'an 8.1 "They ask you about the benefits of capturing the spoils of war. Tell them: 'The benefits belong to Allah and to His Messenger.' So fulfill your duty to Allah and the Prophet." Qur'an 8.5 "Your Lord sent you from your homes to fight for the true cause." Qur'an 8.7 "Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels out to the last.'" Qur'an 8.12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle. Qur'an 8.15 "Believers, when you meet the unbelievers in battle, do not turn your back on them for any Muslim who retreats will bring the wrath of Allah on himself and will abide in Hell." Qur'an 8.72 "Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah's Cause with their possessions and persons, and those who gave them shelter and aided them are your allies. You are only called to protect Muslims who fight." Qur'an 8.73 "The infidels aid one another. Unless you do the same there will be anarchy in the land. Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah's Cause are good Muslims." Qur'an 8.57 "If you meet them in battle, inflict on them such a defeat as would be a lesson for those who come after them, that they may be warned." Qur'an 8.59 "The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them. They are your enemy and Allah's enemy." Qur'an 8.71 "He will give you mastery over them." Qur'an 8.39 " So, fight them till all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam."
Osama Bin-Laden and Al-Zawahiri considered the above and took action...
your postings continually demonstrate the old Muslim tactic....deny everything and blame the enemy....and like many Muslims in todays world, you refuse to admit the truth...
And Muslims hate it when the infidels know the truth about Islam....
....and especially when we learn to identify your lying ways....

I would love to go to a church and converse with Christians.
I hope you do....I think you'll see "for yourself how peaceful, happy and tranquile" Christians are as well.
A Muslim in London dressed up as a suicide bomber at a protest over the cartoons, gets arrested and tried for inciting violence.
But that's the problem, thesaracen....why does this Muslim feel the need to protest dressed as a suicide bomber? Why does he perpetuate the very stereotype Muslims don't want non-Muslims to have? Why does he give the media-you-so-despise such delicious fodder to feed on? It does nothing but hurt his cause to protest in such a foolish way, when he can just hold up opposing, but non-threatening signs, or boycott Danish. But if his intent was to not only protest, but to also threaten, then yes, he should be arrested. Conversely, the cartoons offended, but they didn't threaten....that's why the cartoonists (and "The DaVinci Code" and South Park and Monty Python creators lampooning Jesus) aren't arrested. Furthermore, if a Christian or any non-Muslim dressed as a suicide bomber to make some sort of shock-counterpoint, I'd want them questioned by authorities as well (case in point).
The BNP get away with inciting violence against Muslims. So the question is why haven't the police or the government taken action against these cartoonists?
Because again, the cartoonists weren't threatening anyone with their messages. Making fun of someone isn't the same as threatening them with violence (I say this as someone whose faith is ridiculed all the time in media). I don't know what the BNP did....did they dress up as suicide bombers too? Regardless, why couldn't rioting Muslims just do what Christians do when they were offended by "The DaVinci Code" or South Park cartoons....i.e. protest civilly and peacefully? Trust me, if the rioting Muslims had done just that, you can bet that the Muhammad cartoons wouldn't have even made the classified ads, much less the front page. The world wouldn't have heard about these cartoons outside obscure pockets in tiny Denmark. The cartoons were published in Denmark back in Sept. 2005, but the whole thing didn't blow up worldwide until early 2006 when Muslim clerics brought them into mainstream Muslim media (to incite outrage and subsequent violence, no doubt). Even then, if Muslims had just protested w/o killing, burning, or destroying, it would've never made world headlines, I assure you. I'm sorry, but it wasn't the cartoons (which were kinda silly-looking, IMO) that caught the attention of world media....it was the riots and death threats that followed them, like they followed Isioma Daniel and Salman Rushdie for what they wrote. Without the latter, the former would've been virtually unnoticed.
Show me proof that I can't deny.
I guess there's nothing anyone can bring you that's completely undeniable. But it's funny how demanding you are of undeniable proof when you yourself claim that some of the 9/11 hijackers are still alive, something which, frankly, you can't undeniably prove, either. I asked you to provide proof from Al-Jazeera, and I haven't seen any. Okay, so I googled like you suggested and the only websites "reporting" the living 9/11 hijackers are "hearsay" conspiracy websites that few take seriously and are way more poorly documented than you think CNN or FOX is. Even they don't have any current info on living 9/11 hijackers. This is the best proof you have to offer..."hearsay" websites? And since you think so highly of Al-Jazeera, I ask again....why is it, if Osama and his ilk didn't do 9/11, that Al-Jazeera continues to broadcast Osama's videos and tapes claiming responsibility for 9/11? Is Al-Jazeera a tool of the USA? Is Al-Jazeera lying? You like how Al-Jazeera "honestly" reports the situation in Iraq. So why can't Al-Jazeera find these living 9/11 hijackers and interview them? Why do they continue to report the angle that Muslims did do 9/11? E.g....
Bin Laden praises 9/11 hijacker
Al-Qaeda video takes credit for 9/11
Pentagon investigates 9-11 claim
And not just your brothers at Al-Jazeera, but also your brothers at Arab News....
Bin Laden finally claims 9/11 attacks: Al-Jazeera
You can't deny your brothers at Al-Jazeera and Arab News are reporting a truth quite different than the one you're alleging. So why is that? Are Al-Jazeera and Arab News both hiding something, like you claim the US media/gov't is? And if so, whatever for? Why, if they are "true Muslims dedicated to the truth coming out"?
I suggest checking out this compelling essay written by a Bush-loather himself (posted on a Bush-loathing website) on the silliness of 9/11 conspiracies, and why whatever "truth" you believe is waiting to "come out" on 9/11 will never sound the least bit sensible. Using your words, "it just does not add up". Nevertheless, if you think you can answer Matt Tabibi's challenge to craft a sensible one and post it here, be our guest. Until then, I don't see why you should expect anyone here to take your 9/11 allegations, "proofs", and the sincerity of your desire for truth as seriously as you take ours.
