Fatah's military wing launches "Cells of the Martyr Mughniyeh"

"Fiend or Ally?" Update. "U.S. partner's 'military wing' named for arch-terrorist," by Aaron Klein for World Net Daily:

JERUSALEM – The declared military wing of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah organization has formed a cell to attack Israel named after assassinated Hezbollah arch-terrorist Imad Mughniyah, WND has learned.
Mughniyah, one of the most-wanted terrorists in the world, was killed in a bomb blast last week. He was responsible for infamous deadly attacks against the U.S. and Israel, including involvement in the 1983 bombing of a U.S. Marine barracks in Lebanon.
Fatah's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades took responsibility for a shooting attack yesterday against an Israeli bus in the northern West Bank. No one was injured in the shooting.
Brigades leaders told WND the attack was perpetuated by a new cell of their group calling itself the "Cells of the Martyr Mughniyah."
The new Mughniyah cell consists entirely of Fatah gunmen from the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, said the Brigades leaders.
"This cell will lead more attacks to commemorate this huge man Mughniyah and his contributions to the Palestinian revolution and fight against Israeli occupation. The Palestinian people owe him many operations and his huge support for the intifada," Abu Oudai, a senior Brigades leader in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, told WND.
Oudai threatened that Fatah's Mughniyah terror cells would carry out more attacks to avenge the Hezbollah leader's death, including suicide bombings inside Israel.
Senior Fatah Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades leaders confirmed to WND the formation of the new Mughniyah cells. They said it was officially sanctioned by the Brigades.
The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah's official military wing, took responsibility for every suicide bombing in Israel in 2005 and 2006 and for scores of deadly shootings and rocket attacks.
As a gesture to Abbas, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in June granted amnesty to hundreds of Brigades members on condition they turn in their weapons and refrain from attacks. Most gunmen continued to carry out anti-Israel attacks and openly brandished their weapons.
U.S. policy considers Abbas moderate. Olmert is negotiating with Abbas, aiming to create a Palestinian state by the end of the year in line with last November's U.S.-backed Annapolis summit.

Indeed, and just who is providing the money for training their so-called "military wing?"

OT: Muslims want Obama for President

US-Islamic forum in Gulf backs Obama

Feb 18 12:55 PM US/Eastern

Delegates at a US-Islamic forum voiced support on Monday for US presidential hopeful Barack Obama, although some warned against expecting any radical policy change irrespective of who captures the White House.
Obama, who is vying to become the first black president of the United States, won overwhelming support in a mock election by more than 200 American and Muslim delegates at the US-Islamic World Forum in the Qatari capital.

His Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and Republican candidates won only a handful of votes.

Around 280 public figures and academics from 32 countries, including Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the US ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad, attended the fifth edition of the forum due to end in the gas-rich Gulf state later Monday.

Many Muslim delegates said they hoped to see Obama win the Democratic nomination and go on to be elected next November to succeed US President George W. Bush.

"I would like to see Obama become president of America because he champions 'change and hope', which we Muslims need as much as the Americans do," Islamic television preacher Amr Khaled told AFP.

Khaled told the forum that he speaks "on behalf of millions of Muslim youth who seek work, respect and freedom," and urged the next US administration to "solve the political problems in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan, and not to mix between Muslims and extremists."

"The Indonesian people would love to see a (US) president who has studied at an elementary school in Jakarta," Din Syamsuddin, chairman of Muhammadiyah, one of Indonesia's largest Islamic organisations, told AFP in a reference to Obama.

But Dhiya Rashwan, an Egyptian expert on terrorist groups, warned that US policy under the next president would be "a continuation of current policies, though in a less extreme way than the conservative Republican administration".

The Bush administration has "planted landmines everywhere" for its successor, making it impossible for the next president to suddenly reverse course, Rashwan said.

One example is the arms deals concluded by the Bush administration "to counter Iran and terrorism ... The arms industry will not give up these deals under any circumstances," he said.

The Bush administration has also "imposed phobia" on the Americans, something US politicians will find difficult to change, Rashwan added.

The Bush administration is generally unpopular in the Middle East and Islamic world due to the US-led invasion of Iraq, the "war on terror" which is often associated with anti-Islamic sentiment, and Washington's perceived bias for Israel.

"If the Democrats win, they will be very sensitive to the American image... The American image has to improve because it can't get worse," said Mehran Kamrava, a political science professor at the Qatar branch of Georgetown University.

"But I don't think they (future administration) will work hard for a rapprochement with the Islamic world because Muslims are not a strong voice," he added.

The three-day forum, which aims to bridge the US-Muslim divide caused by the September 11, 2001 attacks, debated the Islamic world's expectations of the next US administration and how the presidential election will affect US policy toward Muslim countries.

The annual gathering is organised by the Qatari foreign ministry and the Brookings Institution's Saban Centre for Middle East Policy.

********************************************

I read this, and couldn't help indulging that paranoid fear that Obama could be the Muslim stealth candidate. Gotta love the excerpt, "The Bush administration has also "imposed phobia" on the Americans..." Muslim extremists slaughter 3,000 plus Americans on 911, and it's Bush that imposes the phobia. Nice to see that Georgetown University professor spreading the anti American propoganda, no doubt the "Qatar branch" at GU is funded by Saudi money. I kind of wish Pope Benedict would look into that. We are being assaulted by Islam on so many levels, I am just praying that Obama isn't the actual "frontal assault."

It is a minor issue, but annoying nonetheless. The terrorists aren't "claiming responsibility" for their atrocities, they are taking credit for them. In their moral accounting system, their terrorist actions aren't misdeeds to be charged to the debit side of their moral ledger, but accomplishments chargeable to the credit side for future rewards both here and in the hereafter.

When will we stop giving these maniacs money?

It's ironic how Sunnis use a dead Shiite to name their new group. Sunnis and Shiites definitely co-operate when it comes to hating and attacking the Jews.

Stop the presses. The printing or minting presses, the ones that turn out the greenbacks, the green stuff, the moolah, the dindi, the fric. Don't send a single promised sawbuck to the Slow Jihadists of Fatah.

Which presidential candidate will say it first: not a dollar will be considered until the name "Mughniyeh" is stops being honored by the PLO/PA/warlords around Abu Mazen, doing his best impersonastion of a mild-mannered accountant, and not the sinister collaborator in murder that he has been all of his adult life.

And which presidential candidate will then add, if and when the "Palestinians" drop Mughniyeh's name from their Supreme Honor Roll, that it really doesn't matter: the money that was promised was a mistake, and it won't be coming in any case. At all. And the "Palestinians" can hold out their begging-bowl in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., Kuwait, and a dozen other fabulously rich Muslim states. The days of the American or other Infidel taxpayers shelling out billions for Arab warlords who, Slow Jihadists of Fatah or Fast Jihadists of Hamas, are intent on the same goal: conducting the Lesser Jihad against Israel until it ceases to exist as an independent Infidel nation-state, existing by right and not by Muslim sufferance.

Any chance Israel's military wing can beat the crap out of them? Not the political wing... that's a separate entity.

Video "Muslim Americans for Barack Obama" Creepy, violent . . .very telling. Listen to the script . . .

first gunshot at marker :36 At 1:00 "They hate all of us for the same reason(s). All of us catch hell from the same enemy. We are in the same bay, in the same boat. . ..We suffer "Political oppression" "Economic exploitation" and "Social degredation" "All of them from the same enemy" The verbage after that segment at 1:24 is unintelligible. The next overlayed speaker is equally unintelligble, but the sound effects imply a car crash/carbomb? ending with the words 1:40 "kill with this violence" "?? this attack"? Further along, 2:05 you hear the reference: "I am reminded of young David, I am reminded of young David the shepherd boy who stood up before the great warrior of the Philistines. Young David having all of the courage. There must be someone somewhere. There has got to be somebody somewhere . Young David took that one small stone and with the faith of his God and SLAYED THE GIANT!". . ."CRY HOPE" . . .ending with a tribal chant & heavy drumbeat escalating in intensity until the final burst of machine gunfire.

Comparing the muslim minority to David? The giant to the USA? The small stone to 9/11?

The audacity of muhammedan hope?

New video . . .American Alienation

WARNING: This video contains some strong language and graphic elements. It is intended for a mature audience.
Each day, I see events unfolding around the globe that cause me concern. Yet most of the people I encounter seem to be oblivious, or at best, only peripherally aware of the grave threats facing our nation - and civilization as a whole.
Our enemies are counting on our short attention spans, our over-confidence and our stubborn complacency to keep the blinders on our eyes until it's too late.
Each day, the future of freedom and democracy in Europe seems bleaker... and the United States is already taking steps down the same path.
It's time to wake up.
We are at war!

Please include a graphic of the 3 wise monkeys with this story--"see no evil--hear no evil--speak no evil"-- AKA Condi, Bush and Ohlmert whenever they describe the.... peaceful,... peace loving Palestinian partners for peace!! (my a__! shoot me now!!)

miira -

going by the transcript of that Muslim video you posted - isn't it sickening, the way they steal Biblical figures and stories, and completely reverse, and pervert, the meaning of what they've stolen?

(The palestinianist christians have been pulling the same nasty switch for over thirty years now -identifying the Jews with Goliath and the Philistines, and the rock-throwing mohammedan thugs-in-training, with DAVID the sweet singer of Israel. The palestinianists forget that it's a classic case of a double meaning: the Muslims know that when the boys throw stones, it makes Christians, or even Jews, think of David; but the MUSLIM meaning is totally different, those boys throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers are re-enacting the 'stoning of satan' at the haj; Muslims have been throwing rocks at Jews for a long, long time - Bat Yeor remembered her aunts in Egypt having rocks thrown at them by Muslims, when they went to visit graves at the Jewish cemetery).

Of course, the fact is that tiny Israel and the IDF citizen army, standing with their backs to the sea, are David - as they have always been; and it is the Ummah which is the pagan, murderous Goliath.

During the Hezbollah war against Israel in 2006, a friend of mine was watching the TV coverage. She remarked on the difference between the faces of the Hezbollah jihadis (on those occasions they weren't hideously masked) and those terribly vulnerable Jewish soldiers, both the young young men and the middle-aged reservists. She remarked on the ugliness (she meant the hateful expressions) of the jihadis, and then, of the Jewish soldiers, she said, 'they're all so beautiful'. And I said, 'Yes, an army of Davids'.

OFF TOPIC!

Dinesh D'Souza is really starting to come around. I welcome that. Better late than never, way better.

A quote from his latest blog on Christian symbols removed from University chapels by cringing liberal dhimmi administrators on behalf of of their more robust (read violent and scary) Muslim agitators:

"... we all want the religious minorities, both actual and hypothetical, to feel welcome and happy, but should this be at the price of insulting the religious sentiments of the Christian majority? If it hurts a Muslim's feelings to step into a Christian chapel and see a cross, isn't it even more hurtful for a Christian to step into a Christian chapel and have the cross removed? Shouldn't Hindus and Muslims expect to see crosses in Christian chapels? How would they feel if we went to Pakistan and removed Muslim symbols from the mosques over there, in order to make us feel welcome? Would a lively church-state discussion ensue, or would we end up running for our lives?"

Um, I'll take 'running for our lives for $500, Alex...

Designated by the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, yet it is a wing of Fatah whose militias (often also members of Al Aqsa Martyrs) we train and arm.

From Aaron Klein's "Schmoozing with Terrorists" (a typical example)--`Meet Abu Yousef. He's currently an officer of Force 17, Abbas's presidential guard unis...Yousef previously carried out scores of attacks, including several shootings against Israeli citizens...like many Force 17 members, Yousef is openly a member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. His specific Brigades cell has sent several suicide bombers into Israel. As part of the Preventative Security Services, Abu Yousef received training at a base in the West Bank town of Jericho run by a U.S. security team. There, our American tax dollars paid for this terrorist to learn from Americans how to shoot, collect intelligence, and conduct guerilla-style raids: "all the methods & techniques that we studied in these trainings, we applied them against the Isrealis." In May 2006 he was hand-delivered a brand new American assault rifle paid for by you and me. Abu Yousef told me the U.S. sent weapons to Fatah "as part of a conspiracy to generate a civil war between us and Hamas...the weapons will not be used against our brothers, only (against) Israelis.'

Meanwhile, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2006 provided $140,000 to
Hamas's Islamic University in Gaza, a hotbed for "resistance fighters" founded by Ahmed Yassin himself. Since 2004, USAID has also provided some $4 million to Arkan, a law school program which includes Al-Najah University. At least fifteen suicide bombers attended this school and many Al Aqsa Brigade leaders study there, reportedly those in the chemistry department actually manufacture explosives! (Funding universities associated with terrorist activity is now officially illegal, U.S Foreign Operations Bill 2006)

Ah...good old Moderate Fatah! They probably only need a few more gifts of weapons, and money, and state of the art anti-terrorist training, and one-sided prisoner releases in order for them to fully renounce their violent tendancies.

Have we become so blinded by our common advarsary that we are arming terrorists in Israel's back yard?

Oh, right, they're not terrorists, they're partners in the peace process.

miira,

Very chilling videos.

I wrote my congresswoman twice about the Islamist training camps on our own soil, as mentioned in "American Alienation." All I ever got was a canned response that was off topic.

The leadership of the West is collectively doing a horrible job of identifying the enemy. There are far too many asleep in the free world, and the leadership and mainstream media are aiding and abetting the narcolepsy.
