Reuters: Hamas jihadists "inspired by God"

Here is one of the most egregious valentines for jihad terror and Islamic supremacism that Reuters or anyone has ever produced. The Hamas terrorists, who celebrate their murders of Israeli civilians, are -- no qualifier -- "inspired by God." The jihad terrorist is portrayed as a hero, with his quest for murderous martyrdom lauded. This is the news, and the mainstream media, in the year of our distress 2008.

Mixed in, however, is a forthright acknowledgment that religion is the primary motivation for jihad terror -- which you won't find the mainstream media admitting in other contexts.

"Inspired by God, Hamas fighters battle on," by Nidal al-Mughrabi for Reuters (thanks to all who sent this in):

GAZA, March 3 (Reuters) - Abu Mohammed picked up his rifle, said farewell to his wife and six children and went out to face the Israeli tanks, helicopter gunships and missile-firing airborne drones.

"Being unable to defeat Israel is no reason to surrender," the Hamas fighter said with a smile as he headed to the Gaza Strip's front line last Saturday, ignoring pleas from his family to stay.

"My children and wife are very dear to me," he said. "But reward in Heaven and the homeland are dearer."

The 38-year-old furniture salesman says he is not afraid to die for the cause of destroying Israel and forging a Palestinian state on all Israel's territory, the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

To Israel and its allies, Abu Mohammed and his comrades are Jew-hating terrorists. But Abu Mohammed sees himself on a mission from God to rescue his people from 60 years of misery as refugees since the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

Though that conviction may, in some, mingle with bravado and self-interest, it does make Hamas an enemy to be reckoned with, for all that Israel's hi-tech army easily outguns their rifles, home-made rockets and, if they choose, their suicide bomb belts. [...]

Islam forbids suicide, but rewards "martyrdom" with glory in this world and paradise in the next. For the 1.5 million Palestinians in the slums and refugee camps of the Gaza Strip, the question of why one of their compatriots would sacrifice his or her life to kill Israelis needs little soul-searching.

"An Islamist fighter has two motives: a religious motive -- God's reward; and a social motive -- appreciation from the people he is defending," explained Fadel Abu Heen, a prominent Gaza psychiatrist.

And religion was the stronger motivation for Islamist fighters. "That is what makes them braver and more aggressive fighters than others," he said.

Older than most of his fellow combatants, Abu Mohammed said his family had fled to Gaza from a village nearby in 1948.

"We have the right to all of Palestine," he said in his three-room, one-storey house in Gaza City.

"If we are dead before we can liberate our land, then we did not give up. We have to set an example to our children that weakness is not an excuse for not putting up a fight."

TRUCE WITH CONDITIONS

Hamas leaders have offered a long-term truce with Israel in return for a Palestinian state in the occupied West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem -- terms Israel is unwilling to accept, preferring to negotiate with Hamas's secular enemies in the Fatah faction, which dominates the larger West Bank.

And the Islamist group, which routed Fatah forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas, continues to say it will not formally recognise Israel. Its 1988 founding charter calls for the destruction of the Jewish state.

Abu Mohammed -- his familiar rather than formal name -- went to fight on Saturday with an AK-47 assault rifle, two spare clips, and three Hamas-made hand grenades bearing the words "Qassam Brigades", the name of Hamas's armed wing.

Before leaving, he turned off his mobile phone, which Israel could use to track his movements, and switched on a two-way radio that connects him to other gunmen.

"Just like an army," he said.

On the verge of tears, his wife, who did not want to be named, sat in silence. "I know Jihad is a religious duty, but we need you. I need you and the children do, too," she said.

Abu Mohammed only smiled.

Ah, the cool cinematic hero.

"Smile, smile, that's all I get whenever I ask," she said.

Nearly hit by Israeli missiles twice last week, Abu Mohammed said the fighting was "very tough" but added: "I am optimistic.

"In the end, Israel will have to agree to our terms. There is no alternative to returning all of our Palestine."

Sure there is.

Well, just about everything from Al Reuters is cooked by Nidal al-Mughrabi, who seems to be the only stringer they got left.

No Westerner dares venture into Hamas territory, and no one will ever be critical of these soldiers of Allah without being kidnapped and/or being assassinated.

My, admiration for this hero knows no bounds. He is undoubtedly a loving father, husband and an alround good guy. The description of his jihad against the jews was heartwarming. It bought tears to my eyes that such a nice family could be so victimised by the heartless Israelis that he is forced into this situation.

I think I'll invite him round for chicken soup.

A few more victories like that and Hamas is going to be in real trouble.

Yesterday, I watched CNN's resident drunk Michael Ware proclaim what a great triumph for Iran that Ahmadodojihad's visit to Baghdad was.

No mention of the UNSC Resolution on additional sanctions on Iran's nuke program.

That would be news, and journalism.

Two pitfalls CNN avoids at all costs.

Any hint of conginitive dissonance here?

Reuters should be attacked by the women rights activists because it allowed this jihadist to degrade women.
We all know what he means by "....But reward in Heaven and the homeland are dearer." This man is exploiting women Huris for his own pleasure. He considers women as objects and he needs not one or two but 72 of them to satisfy his lust.
Where is Opera or barabra or rosey?

What continues to astonish me is that the Israelis carry on negotiating with these nutjubs believing that a two-state solution is possible.

This means the Jews:

1. Possess mass-insanity - suicidally so or/and

2. Are as badly affected by self-hating, guilt-ridden marxists as the west is.

When when when will the penny drop: That this whole Palestinain issue is a charade, a fabrication created for one purpose: To destroy the state of Israel and enable the genocide of the Jews.

And that is simply non-negotiable.

“Above all else, the Devil cannot stand to be mocked,” C.S. Lewis said.

"Abu Mohammed only smiled."

He was thinking of the eternal erection that will be his if he "kills and is killed" (Qur'an 9:111)for Viagrallah, the Pimp of Paradise, who somehow will manage to scrape up another 72 Whories for his faithful Abu.

"We have the right to all of Palestine," he said in his three-room, one-storey house in Gaza City.

Abu, there's a spot reserved for you in hell's half acre, and if you thought Gaza City was crowded, you ain't seen nuthin yet!

'there's no way to delay that trouble coming every day..' remember the old FZ song?

Man, if it wasn't for Islam, I could be out fishing, making money, chasing chicks or doing something useful with my life.

You guys ever realize that we're nothing but a tiny minority of extremists?

Look at this:

7 years after 9/11 this guy is still trying to figure out what jihad is and he wants more Muslims in American newsrooms to explain it.

I give up!

An AK-47 would seem to be a true weapon of mass destruction. Is it possible to ban the manufacture of the ammo for this weapon of choice for fanatical jihadists?

Correct that dolt of an author:

-inspired by Allah

-not by God.

and Allah is largely a hallucination of an epileptic and morality challenged camel driver.

And what an inspiration Allah (as said, not G-d) is to this psychotic lot; out-and-out psychopaths. It is more than evident that martyrdom is of more importance to these homicidal-maniacs than family. Especially, their children, who are no more than an extension of an inherent, wanton hatred of Jews and all non-believers; preened and pruned, so that they one day, these children, may mete out mass-murder and mayhem.
Even Dr. Phil wouldn’t have a chance in hell of “fixing” this overtly perverse and dysfunctional lot's mindset.
Smug-a**, Reuters and their comrades within the mass-media are awash in the big-lie, portraying these morons as warriors of god, Allah… some, alleged, god... Allah!
It boggles, not surprises, one’s mind, the whys and wherefores of the leftists’ wanton sedition and, utter, shallowness. It definitely is not naïveté; simply, they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all those bent on Israel’s and, in time, Western-Democracies end.

Well, I keep saying that Islam is, among other things, a sex/violence cult. There is no way to get all these virgins and paradise other than fatal jihad. This means continuous conflict is required.
If all jihad ends, there is no way to these virgins.
Closing the gates of jihad means closing the gates to Allah's brothel. Now we just can't have that, can we...

How utterly selfish abandoning his wife and children for personal gain.

GAZA, March 3 (Reuters) - Abu Mohammed picked up his rifle, said farewell to his wife and six children and went out to face the Israeli tanks, helicopter gunships and missile-firing airborne drones.

What a hero! Going out with just his rifle to face the Israeli tanks and gunships. The guy is a regular Minuteman!
The article could just as easily read: "Abu Mohammed picked up the firing pins, said he'd be back shortly and went out to his back yard to prime the rockets in their launcher and fire them at neighboring Israeli villages."

IN OTHER WORDS WE WANT IT ALL EVEN IF ITS NOT OURS
Abu Mohammed sees himself on a mission from God to rescue his people from 60 years of misery as refugees
IF THERE ARAB MUSLIM BROTHERS IN ISLAM HAD NOT WANTED THEM AS A WEAPON AGAINST ISRAEL THEY WOULD NOT BE REFUGEES AFTER 60 YEARS

TWO
the only problem is is a truce is just a temporary thing with Muslims until they are strong enough to conquer their opponents. And for that matter, look what happened last time Muslims were in charge of Jerusalem. And what is happening now to Christian shrines and Jewish shrines that are now in Muslim territory how many Jews and Christians have been allowed to visit the holy places. Effectively zero and when Jordan was in charge of Jerusalem. No Jews were allowed to visit the Wailing Wall and the sight of their former Temple that Muslims to build a mosque on and are trying to claim. There never was a Jewish presence before Islam in the holy land

(Not to be confused with a book of a somewhat similar but not identical title (it is in the singular)

*Q: and what stands in the way of those "Dreams?"

A: world opinion and Bush and his deputy--the indefatigable Condoleeza Rice. (Doesn't she get tired of croaking out that same old song--with the oft-repeated refrain, ad nauseam--"Palestinian state, Palestinian state, Palestinian state, etc.," repeated whilst the puppet masters in Riyadh nod with approval?)

---------------

I think the meeting was significant between Mahmoud and Malaki, and shows how much of an ally Iraq's going to be....

Regarding the UNSC, the US made sure they wrenched anything meaningful with their delusional NIE report that took all the wind out of their sails. The moment of those reports, you could forget about getting Russian and China to support any resolution harsh enough to stop Iran's windsprint.

Here's the latest on Russia and China in the UNSC regarding resolution on Iran.
