Hamas placed children on rooftops as human shields preventing Israeli attack on Qassam workshops and warehouses

As usual: Where's the outrage in the mainstream media and from human rights organizations for this war crime by Hamas?

By Aaron Lerner for Independent Media Review Analysis (thanks to David):

Yediot Ahronot correspondent Itamar Eichner reports in today's edition that an officer in Israeli Military Intelligence revealed in a briefing by FM Livni to foreign ambassadors that "before the IDF attacks Qassam workshops or warehouses it distributes flyers asking the residents to evacuate the area. But Hamas exploits the flyers and places small children on the rooftops in order to foil the attacks. And thus because of this trick the IDF is forced to halt many such bombings at the last moment."
"We are working with our hands tied because of all these laws and because we are part of the free world and because this is part of our values," FM Livni said.

The lack of recognition by the global mainstream media coverage of Palestinian deeds and misdeeds on their side in this "conflict" is indeed "disproportionate".

War is deceit.

Didn't Golda Meir say "How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to."

What sort of government could be formed, when you are willing to butcher your own children? It gives new meaning to the PC term "child friendly".

Israel must stop conducting war this way. They must fight to win. Did the Allies warn the germans about bombings during WWII? Of course not. Israel should stop concerning itself with what the world will think and end this confict once and for all. If the 'palis' want to put women and children on the roofs of rocket factories, then it is the 'palis' who deserve the world's distain. Why is this world so damn backwards?

awake,

Not just disproportionate but criminal.

Posted by: Elric66 [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 7, 2008 8:55 AM

This as a war crime, except at the Useless Nations, I suppose.

Alan Dershowitz on Glen Beck this week said nothing between Israel and the Pals will ever change unless the rules are changed. He essentially said the pals must be warned that for every pal attack, Israel will fire back and it will be up to the Pals to eliminate or limit their own civilian casualties. Other than that, this conflict goes on forever.

Hamas is claiming resonsibility for the massacre yesterday. What will the spineless jellyfish Olmert do?

Posted by: Elric66 [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 7, 2008 9:12 AM

Sounder

Thanks for posting Alan Dershowitz's comment. I for one think he is absolutely correct.

Israel has to realize that it is in an "us or them" situation.

How it deals with the selfish, sell-out interferences of the USA and the EU will be another major problem for them.

So...if 5 male 4 year olds get blown off the roof of a rocket factory in Gaza by an Israeli bomb, do they all get their 72 virgins? Where do all these virgins come from? Why aren't they under supervision of a male relative? Who is making all that wine for them? If they can drink it in paradise, why not here? Who supervises all those drunk horny toddlers? Sounds like a logistical nightmare to me. Muslim paradise sounds like chaos. Muslims mostly sound psychotic. Scary crazy. Horny males who can't control their sexual urges if they see a woman's forearm. Women who wear black sacks and actually agree to sleep with these pigs. What a weird world.

When Israel bends to this tactic (using children as shields), it validates the practice and ensures that the practice will grow.

Israel should bomb the targets - because they are valid military targets. Keeping children clear of military targets is the enemy's responsiblity - not Israel's.

Slightly OT, but the Wall Street Journal's hack reporter, one 'cam simpson', assures us, right below the headline, that those teenagers at the Jewish school had it coming to them, since the school is "a spiritual center for Israelis at the forefront of efforts to build Jewish settlements in the Palestinian West Bank" (The shitforbrains forgot to mention that the Jewish school also 'occupies palestinian al-quds'.)

Rick,

Everything in Islam sounds peachy until you inject a modicium of logic into it. Unfortunately Islam and logic dont go together in the same sentence very well.

Posted by: Pinhedd [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 7, 2008 10:54 AM

Muslim terrorists can blow up children at a school or a restaurant but the Israeli army can't attack a military target because there are children on the roof? Given the many articles that show what these children are being taught, their "innocence" is debatable.

The Muslim creed: Do as I say, not as I do.

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 7, 2008 11:01 AM

Can you imagine the carnage if Israel tried the same tactic? There would be massive death of Israeli children...and the UN would find a way to make it acceptable.
Bizzaro World.

The solution for Israel is to stop forewarning the palis of coming attacks. Then they won't know which building to put their children on.

And when the U(seless) Nations accuses Israel of disproportionate response, they should just say "well duh, the way to win a fight is to hit the other guy harder than he hits you and keep hitting him until he quits fighting."

Germany bombed London, the allies leveled Dresden. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, the U.S. leveled Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In both instances, a path to ending the fighting and both sides go away as friends.

Now I'm not suggesting that Israel nuke anybody, but when Hamas fires rockets into Israel, a Paleostinian village/"refugee" camp should be leveled. When Hezbollah fires rockets into Israel from Lebanon, a Southern Lebanese village should be leveled.

That's how you win a fight.

Oh, and by the way, if you want to see what compassion get you in battle (three guesses what that is), in the case of American SEALS and sixty years earlier to Jews fighting to establish a country in the mandate of Palestine, look at:
COMPASSION IN COMBAT
and
ANSWER TO COMPASSION IN COMBAT

if you haven't already read that.

Israel need to do a much better job of shaping the Battle Field.

Israel need only make clear the obvious. The residents of Gaza ultimately know who and where this War material is stored. Israel should openly state they will destroy those places when found. Taking residence near these locations is a risk they take upon themselves.

Why should we Waterboard ourselves over these issues. If your going to shoot at us from a Mosque expect it to get flattened. If your going to put your kids to playing on the Roofs of Ordinance Bunkers. expect them to get hurt. If your going to take a break from dinner to shoot your AK-47 them expect to receive a few rounds in return harming the Wife and Kids, or Grandma.

Since when does the 4th Estate get to make all the Rules.

Notice that the Palestinians' guerilla shenanigans here (and in attack after attack on Israel) are in violation of the Geneva Convention with this behavior and the world's reaction is something akin to "ho hum." (Maybe this is because the perpetrators aren't Jews or Americans).

Posted by walterc,

"the way to win a fight is to hit the other guy harder than he hits you and keep hitting him until he quits fighting.
....
That's how you win a fight."

But in our psychosis, we've decided it isn't fair to win if it involves any collateral damage. We're trapped in a bizarre version of 'peace' where everyone is a victim except real victims and saddled with a utopian war doctrine in which you must be sensitive to the enemy's weaknesses instead of taking advantage of them to win. So, we must avoid winning at all costs, apparently to prolong the suffering. Why, anything less just wouldn't be sensitive and understanding.

The West is headed toward a "let God sort'em out" moment.

A little spine now could avoid a lot of tears in the future. At least, that's the way it looks to me.

But then, maybe I'm just not sensitive enough.

It's the Palestinian equivalent of work experience, get them involved young! A 'Marytr School' field trip, only the 'teachers' don't end up in court for lack of care.

They need to put Farfur the mighty mouse on those rooftops. And then there was a bee whose name escapes me.

The mouse and the bee.. that should keep the IDF at bay.

There are so many moslems living in Europe we could send them if too many get killed there.

We'll be very happy to furnish them with one-way tickets to 'al-quds'. Once they are back home maybe the Israelis will then help them along on their quest for their Final Destination.

Israel has a valid reason for hitting these animals HARD. The Un-United Nations may give a little blah-blah,But now is the time for some serious Get-Some by the Israelis. The animals are killing inocent Israelis daily and now this massacare at a school. What if the Israelis hit a school where these maggots send their kids, or what if an Israeli settler hit a school? There would be a chorus of cries for sanctions and retribution, and of course the Un-United Nations would issue a condemnation faster than a zealot attacks a piece of lamb after Rhammadan.NOW is the time to hit these nuts hard!Air strikes on manufacturing sites in conjunction with ground attacks using Israeli special-force teams, and a couple of surprises for the wrap-up. Even the liberals know in their hearts that Israel has the right to hit back.Let us see what the big 'O' calls on this one.

RalphInfidel,

Re "'let God sort'em out' moment'

The emphasis must be on the "'em"

Right now, it's headed towards where God will have to sort the Israelis out (differentiating between observants, seculars, and the completely insane, suicidal Leftists [many of whom serve today in the "Kadima" government of Israel]).

As concerns us (US and other civilized lands) we don't want God to have to sort us out. The job would be overwhelming! Think of the different bins! Why we even got a lot of the "sons and daughters of the 'prophet'" mixed in amongst us. They would,as they demand in life, will have to receive "special" treatment: They will have to go to Allah--who is located in a nether, extremely hot region whence he squats as his alter-ego, the former self-styled "prophet" who

is squatting on the coals
preaching to his faithful souls
"If it weren't for the Jews
we'd all be quaffing booze
banging virgins with dark eyes
in the blessed paradise"

(with apologies to the memory of Rudyard Kipling)

But, back to what RalphInfidel who has, for me to be trite, "hit the nail on the head." RalphInfidel knows what our Western leaders don't know and our "tied-hand-and-foot" military knows but is not allowed to practice:

You don't win wars by being kinder to your enemies than to your own people.

flowerknife_us,

"Since when does the 4th Estate get to make all the Rules."

The "4th Estate," the press has become the agents of the enemy.

It has set itself up as "arbiters of morality
{Western, not Moslem, of course)

We must remember that our MSM are beholden to Saudi and UAE "investors," who can demand--and get--their way. Murdoch's buying the WSJ has reduced that to just another rag.

Press rats (of the MSM) are way below prostitutes on the scale of "value to humanity."
