Don't they teach geography in Afghanistan. It seems every time they refer to any other country they also chant 'death to America' or is it just that they weren't told that America hasn't taken over the entire world yet?

Aw heck, they were just a bunch of bored kids looking for thrills and a sense of belonging and there were no roller coasters around. Maybe Six Flags should build a park there so the youth don't get bored.

Or maybe they were at a pep rally for their football team. Surely somewhere in Islamdom a sports team has gotten that name by now!

Then again, we must remember that thousands out of more than a billion is not a huge number. It's not even a fraction of one percent. Robert is probably right. This IS "the tiny minority of extremists".

The only attention we should give Muslims is to broadcast far and wide their crybaby attitude and actions.

There should be lots and lots of talk shows with the such topics of discussion as:

* Why do Muslims kill women and children?
* Why did Muhammed marry a six-year-old girl, and why do many modern muslims marry little girls?
* Why do so many Muslim families practice "honor killing"?

Instead, we try to avoid saying anything negative about Muslims for fear of offending them, an impossible task!

And presumably, if they were not supported by foreign aid from Infidels, they would live lives of such hardscrabble existence that they would be not only employed, but employed every waking minute just to stay alive.

On second thought, perhaps "Professor" Ross is on to something. He tells us that whenever he is unemployed or otherwise idle, a young Muslim's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of mayhem and murder, so we must do everything possible to keep them so busy simply staying alive, their miserable conditions utterly unrelieved by our aid, with no modern transportation systemm (why do we build them roads and bridges, which only makes them able to move about the country and to attack Infidels? Why install telecommunications systems, which only makes them the better able to communicate murderous plans or inculcate in others the full message of Islam? Why build schools and hospitals which will only increase their numbers, and power (if knowledge is power?).

No, do nothing to help them, so that they will be kept so busy trying to earn a bare subsistence living that they will have no time for anyone else. Yes, Professor Ross has a point -- but it's quite a different point from the point he was trying to make.

Just like the Brits did 100 years ago.(see Churchill's "Malakand Field Force" or "Bugles and a Tiger" by Jack Masters).

And no going back in there with troops to "rebuild the infrastructure" and set up schools and hospitals for the "sake of the children."

(I am certain some people would rather have spared these enemy cities--at the cost of American lives, at a minimum.)

Thousands of Afghan Motoon… “Long live al Qaeda:” There is a perverse irony or twisted ill-gratitude, better said perverse incivility, when one thinks of the young men and women, especially of Canada, the UK and USA armed forces, fighting and dying for a democratic Afghanistan.
This protesting over the Qur’an film, which undoubtedly, censures Islam, the, supposed, religion of peace causes one, actually ask: Why are our troops in Afghanistan getting maimed and killed?
Recently Canadian folks, more often than not, suffer from the jitters when their military is deployed into anything other than a so-called peacekeeping action. This protesting will be cause to hoist the white flag for the innumerable peaceniks north of the 49th parallel, to extricate these troops without more ado. Obviously, not all Canadians suffer from the surrender-monkey syndrome, nor is Canada alone on this issue. This wuss mindset has plagued Canada for a few decades or more; unlike preceding generations who venerated democracy, believing it was worth going to war, to uphold!
Admittedly, no one, even those deeming their troops sacrifice a worthy cause, has the desire for these courageous troops to die for a bunch of whining and vengeful ingrates.

Why call Canadians names? They tried. The desire to withdraw is natural. Why waste your time and resources on people who don't want them? The best thing would be for the entire Western World to withdraw from Afghanistan and close the door and lock it behind us and never look back.

Far from waving the white flag, it's turning our backs on people who aren't worth our time or our trouble. They've lived in that part of the world just fine without our help for a millenium. Let them continue their tribal ways while the civilized world moves on.
