Dutch arrest Pakistani "suspected of belonging to a global jihadist network which is preparing attacks in western Europe"

Another arrest connected with the Barcelona raids. "Dutch police arrest Pakistani on terror charges," from AFP (thanks to Sr. Soph):

THE HAGUE (AFP) - Dutch police have arrested a Pakistani man allegedly linked to a network of Islamic extremists which was largely dismantled after raids in Barcelona this January, prosecutors said Friday.

The 26-year-old was picked up late Thursday in the southwestern Dutch town of Breda, the public prosecutor's office said in a statement.

The detainee was "suspected of belonging to a global jihadist network which is preparing attacks in western Europe," including France, Portugal, Germany and Britain as well as Spain, the statement said.

The Spanish Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcabsur said when the group was broken up that it was on the verge of "violent action", as materials for manufacturing explosive devices were found in the Barcelona raids....

Meanwhile, La-La-Land, the EU, continues to mollycoddle other factions of the Islamist Jihad with hope it will pacify the Islamist beast. Will it take another heinous attack, like 9-11, with the murdering of thousands of innocents, to make these inept and spineless morons to take Jihad seriously?
Frankly, even, God forbid, there is another cataclysmic action by this Islamist rot; the above mentioned, will be remain saturated in self-denial and myth-spinning, thus continuing on their chosen path, the destruction of Western civilization.
Nor is it merely the Euros entrapped by this suicidal myth-spinning; the US and their smug neighbour to the north, Canada, choose to teeter-totter for the sake of political expediency.
The Jihadist does not have to dupe us; after all, we are more than daft enough to deceive ourselves.

Only when a series of atrocities focus the attention of voters will the politicians wake up.

Has anyone else watched Pat Condell on Youtube?

He has up to 200000 views for some of his videos.
This suggests people are, slowly, waking up.

Gee, I thought the only reason Pakis sign up for global jihadist networks was Kashmir: somehow, I seemed to miss all those raving and ranting Hindutva fanatics from the Netherlands.

I guess 'defending' Islam is a higher priority than Islamizing Kashmir even more - a lesson for all the rest of us (those who are willing to study, that is)

*Gasp* Portugal?!! Whyyyyyyyy? Posted by: Crusader [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 14, 2008 8:54 PM

"Portugal?! Why?"
-- from a posting above

Several hundred years ago the seafaring Portuguese managed to wrest control of the sea routes for trade with the East from the Muslims, who had formerlyhad a monopoly.

And besides, both Spain and Portugal are very high on the Muslim To-Do List, because they were once lands ruled by Islam (just like Israel, Sicily, Greece, the Balkans, Bulgaria, Rumania, much of Hungary, much of Russia, and so on).

Either of those reasons would be reason enough. And neither of those reasons would be necessary for Muslims to decide that there was, in any case, reason enough. Infidels. End of story.

ballzack:"The Jihadist does not have to dupe us; after all, we are more than daft enough to deceive ourselves."

Oh, har di har, isn't that just the truth. The Jihadists aren't exactly budding brain surgeons, cue "rage boy", but no matter how dumb they may be, when it comes to our gov'ts, MSM, etc we're just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay dumber.

It's the dumb against the dumber.

Seconds out, let the dribbling and knuckle scraping commence.
