They filed complaints of financial corruption with the Canadian Human Rights Commission against the notorious Calgary Imam Syed Soharwardy -- the one who had himself filed complaints against the Western Standard's Ezra Levant for publishing the Motoons. This is what happened.

Several Muslims say their lives are at risk because they dared speak out in what has become an ongoing dispute in their community.Yesterday, one of the people claiming to be victims of ongoing violent attacks, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed, watched in horror as a car pulled up outside his Panatella Blvd. N.W. home and a man armed with a jerrycan and booze bottle got out, scaled the fence and set his home ablaze as seven children and three other adults slept.
Hours earlier, Ahmed had called 911 after two threatening men came to the door.
"I was so upset," said Ahmed, adding that's why he was still awake at about 4 a.m. when he saw the stranger set his home on fire.
"Within two minutes, we had a big fire," he said.
"We have a fear of death."
Arson Det. Scott Sampson said the family was definitely targeted and the fire could easily have been deadly.
The suspects hurled two Molotov cocktails at the home, one which ignited grass and another which bounced off a window, setting the exterior of the house on fire, said Sampson.
"If he wasn't up, the house would have gone up," Sampson said....

Cops are looking for two Caucasian men about 20 to 25 years old who may have been in a two-door car, possibly a Pontiac, at the time of the incident.

I remember an equally hideous incident while living in Roanoke VA. The poor oppressed Palestinian refugees only wanted to buy the guy's waffle house. But alas, he wouldn't sell. They even tried the time-honored tactic of intimidating him...and behold...he SOLD! And when he complained to the police....well, arson and murder are good for what ails ye. Nice people.

This is exactly why moderate Muslim here are not cooperating more with the FBI
They fear their own much more than the authorities. They know better than anybody else that they will not be protected.

That's because the islamists demand that we play by our increasingly dhimmied rules, while the jihadis play by their islamic ones (and we know how pliable they are). I wouldn't bet on Western authorities to protect me either, if I were a so-called moderate muslim. But again, that's their choice to be lumped into the 'can't trust a muslim' category by not speaking up. The cost of being free is not free. These moderates won't stand up? Then too bad. Whatever happens, happens. And they really shouldn't whine and seethe about it, but they will. Par for the victimhood course.

That's just an excuse. They're in America. If they aren't willing to fight their own here then where WILL they fight them?
They've shown no hesitancy when it comes to labeling us as racists or Islamophobes or whatever other term you care to use.
Even despite 9/11, Americans haven't written them off. They've written US off.
If they won't report suspicious or illegal activity then they shouldn't complain when those same characters do bad things. Failure to cooperate with your fellow Americans can lead to but one conclusion: you're on the other side.

And what says the commission of so-called human right? The same one which censors Canadians to say they are harassed and afraid of muslim fanatics? The same one which costs more than 100 000 CAD for Ezra Levant to get legal help against this soviet-style police of the thought?

-- how does a self-righteous Moslem get hold of a "booze bottle" ????
If he were consistent in his religious practice, wouldn't some other type of bottle be more conveniently available to him?
