Rabbi stabbed in neck in East Jerusalem jihad terror attack

"Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks..." (Qur'an 47:4).

"Rabbi stabbed in neck in E. Jerusalem terror attack," by Jonathan Lis for Haaretz (thanks to Twostellas):

A Palestinian stabbed a Haredi rabbi in the neck in Arab East Jerusalem on Tuesday, but medical workers said his wounds were light and not life-threatening.

A police spokesman confirmed that the attack, near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City, was politically motivated.

The Zaka emergency service said the rabbi, 49, was walking with a bodyguard in Jerusalem's walled Old City, where his seminary is located, when he was attacked. The bodyguard gave chase but the attacker escaped, leaving behind a blood-stained knife.

According to police, the unidentified assailant stabbed the man once and fled the scene. Security forces are currently searching the area in hopes of capturing the attacker....

Bless him. I'm a militant Athiest. He has balls we can only dream of. At some point of time we will meet him. I have the terrible feeling that Israel is going to meet the most terrible of endings. Time is short.

Haaretz shamefully said

Somehow the police can read the unidentified assailant's mind to determine that he was interested in politics, not religion.

Yes, a "Palestinian" stabbing a rabbi in the neck has nothing to do with religion. Right. Got it.

The bodyguard gave chase but the attacker escaped

Next time, let the attacker try to outrun an Uzi.

Olmert's response? Let's have more peace talks!
Maybe he hopes to bore the palestinians into submission.

GW/Condi's response? Let's give them more money and guns.

There is a hadith - I believe it says to kill the Jews until the stones and trees cry out "Muslims! There is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill them!"

The truth is that the Qur'an is an anti-semitic document. The truth is that Islamofascist jihadist extremist muslims use the Qur'an to justify their Jewophobia. The truth is that the prophet (BBOH) had Jews killed, their bodies piled into a ditch, their children sold into slavery and their wives became concubines to Muslim men.

Nothing to see here, more along. Stop gawking.

A friend of mine pointed out that during a certain period of history, all atrocities were blamed on "three silent Irishmen" who had been seen in the vicinity. I'm reminded of this when an uncaptured assailant is assumed to be a "Palestinian". Pardon me, but wouldn't an attacker in East Jerusalem more likely be an Israeli, presumably an Israeli Arab? If so, this is the second instance in a short time of violence perpetrated by an Israeli Arab, and this may signal new difficulties for Israel's policy of egalitarianism of its citizens. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

the rabbi, 49, was walking with a bodyguard
.....................................

The Rabbi had a bodyguard. He needed a bodyguard, yet he was still attacked. Chaldean Archbishop Rahho had a bodyguard, who was killed when Rahho was shot and kidnapped--later, he was found dead.

Buddhist monks in Thailand have to be accompanied by members of the *armed forces* when out begging, yet they have still been attacked. Anglican clergymen in Britain are now being counseled to remove their eclesiastical collars lest they face attack when away from their churches.

Who is behind the attacks on these very diverse clergy, from many different faiths, and sects within those faiths?

Muslims, Muslims, Muslims.

Allah must be very disappointed in this failed murder attempt, so no virgins for this terrorist; he'll be assigned to an eternity of janitorial service instead.

Assuming equal distribution of terrorist attacks between all religions (and all religions are the same, right GWB?), wouldn't it most likely be an Israeli, a Jew?

So, my offer still stands: I bet, against all odds, that the unknown assailant will turn out to be not a Jew, or a Christian, or a Hindu, or a Buddhist, or an atheist. It's my unexplainable magic 6th sense that tells me that it was a Muslim. Any takers?
