Allahu -- oh, snap...

First, Hamas blamed Israel for this. Later, it was revealed to be another "holy mission" gone awry. "Hamas: Blast that killed 2 was accident," by Ibrahim Barzak for the Associated Press:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Palestinian militants accidentally set off a large blast at a Hamas training base in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing two members of the violent Islamic group and wounding another, a Palestinian medical official said.
Hamas initially blamed Israel for the blast, but later acknowledged that it was caused by a mishandling of explosives, saying its men died while performing a "holy mission." The Israeli military denied involvement.
Hamas security men kept photographers and TV cameramen away from the scene. Dr. Moaiya Hassanain, a Palestinian Health Ministry official, confirmed the deaths.
The incident happened amid new signs that Israel is moving closer to a cease-fire with Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. Israeli defense officials said Amos Gilad, a senior Defense Ministry official, traveled to Cairo on Tuesday for talks with Egyptian mediators. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the talks.

So there are "new signs that Israel is moving closer to a cease-fire." It is as obvious as ever that Hamas is not.

And now that Saddam Hussein is no longer around to offer $25,000 to each family of a martyr, or as in this case, a would-be martyr, who will step into the breach and offer to the families of the dead, for this "work accident," the appropriate workmen's compensation?

Oh, that would be the American taxpayer who, without his approval and without even his prior knowledge, is being forced to transfer billions to the "Palestinians" -- just as taxpayers in the countries of the E.U., the very taxpayers whose lives are now made much more unpleasant, expensive, and dangerous by the large-scale presence of Muslims in their own countries -- because our rulers, our makers of policy, too lazy and too timid to learn about Islam, instead offer up a policy that combines the squandering in Iraq that is designed, crazily, to actually prevent sectarian and ethnic conflict in Iraq (and therefore as well in the larger Camp of Islam), a squandering now approaching, in past, present, and future committed costs, close to two trillion dollars, and in the case of the permanent, unassuagable, Lesser Jihad against Israel, believes in continuing to replenish the coffers of the local Arab warlords, or at least of those warlords who, only to non-Muslim and non-Arab audiences, utter a scarcely audible phrase or two, something about "choosing peace as a strategic option," but who, to their Arab audiences (but apparently the State Department and the President have no way to find out what Abbas and his henchmen say in Arabic, just no way at all) say quite different things, and it is those quite different things that they mean, and that, if they are to be true to Islam (and they are, they have to be) they will always mean.

Why are you, why am I, being forced to give money, to donate money, to the "Palestinians" --- or for the colossal mess in Iraq? Because no one in power wants to study Islam. Everyone wants to keep putting on this production of "Hamlet" without the Prince. It is, you see, a student production, and they are all, all of them in positions of policy-making power, merely sophomores, behaving as you would expect -- sophomorically.

Poetic justice.

Shame more weren't killed.

What is new, all I see is death, chaos, violence, hatred and intolerance. Show me what Mo the Ham Med has to bring that I may see the kindness, the generosity and peace. Nada!!!!

No problem. I hear the UN is putting a workman's comp program together for the palestinians to cover these fatal on the job accidents.

I love Marisol's vernacular treatment.

These guys should have studied harder at Kaboom University.

Posted by: tanstaafl [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2008 10:53 AM

But it's Israel's fault anyway, isn't it? After all, were it not for Israel's existence the Hamas killers wouldn't have had to resort to such desperate measures.

You've gotta love their reasoning. Either Israel is being an aggressor or their guys are on a "sacred mission".

Only in Islam.

hehehehe, Sorry, I couldn't stop laughing at the stupidity! This only happens with islam heheheheheheheheeheheh ..and they still try to blame Israel... hahaha

Posted by: Dr.CancerMan [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2008 11:45 AM

All they need is a root cause analysis, prepare a lessons learned memo, and revise their procedures, and nearly all these accidents will stop.

Oh, those are infidel methods, never mind.

Hugh

I don't buy this "they are ignorant about Islam and don't want to learn about it."

I think they know full well what Islam is. I think they know full well what the result will be of mass immigration from Islamic countries and other countries. Taxing us to pay dhimmitude is just one example of how they burden us with taxation. The great global warming swindle - which Darling's last budget used to increase already high taxation levels - would be another example of a marxist scam.

I think they know full well what they are doing. I think this is a marxist attack with a clear aim: destroy the west from within and without. I think this is what has been happening for over 40 years and is continuing apace, especially in Europe with the EU aka: Eurabia or the EUSSR.

No, actually I don't think. I am 100% convinced of it.

Britannia's Lion,

Ya gotta wonder. It's hard to believe all our so- called "leaders" are so clueless. At the risk of being called a conspiracy nut, I have to agree with you, there is some world wide plot afoot.

"holy mission" from unholy Hazmat.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2008 1:20 PM

I'm thinking that if Israel was involved (other than being Israel) by attacking a hamas training camp, there would have been more martyrs. Talk about a target rich environment.

Darwin's mechanism in action. Idiots.

Allah protect us, are those filthy Islamophobes of the Associated Press really calling Hamas a "violent Islamic group"? Hey, please, I need to feel the outrage here....

Posted by: Karl Pov [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 20, 2008 3:05 PM

Another illustration of why, until they embrace modernity of social organization, the lack of technical education in Islamic countries is beneficial to the West.

Britannia's Lion -- I think that we are suffering the combined effects of both groups; those too lazy or busy to learn anything in depth, willing only think in sound bites, and those who know quite well what they are doing and using that knowledge to manipulate the feelings of the first group. The global warming mania is now spreading like wild fire, with the media fanning the flames by claiming the scientific debate is over, when in fact the debate has hardly started. This claim alone should raise flags of concern in anyone's mind, scientist or not, just based on the complexity of the problem.

There are plenty of reasons to lessen our dependence on foreign oil and develop alternative forms of energy, but manmade global warming is unlikely to be one of them. The idea of changing the world economy, of giving this group of politicians and their pet scientists leverage over energy production and usage, based on fears of human caused global warming and is silly, self defeating, and I think your right, Marxist driven at the highest levels.

The first thing needed to develop a useful computer simulation is an understanding of the physical processes to be modeled. The idea that the current state of the art in weather simulation can produce meaningful results 10 years into the future, much less 100 years from now, given the non-linear phenomena involved that we understand, those we are only beginning to understand, and those that may exist but we have no clue about, is frankly ridiculous. The idea that we can currently accurately predict a "tipping point" or "bifurcation point" in such a complicated, imperfectly understood system is in itself laughable enough. Add to that the thought that we would change the world economy based on these models; possibly raising the price of food out of reach for millions already struggling is insane, unless the objective is to starve them, and maybe eventually ourselves, to death.

Only recently have scientists with opposing views been given any notice in the popular press, but you do occasionally see them now.

There are many enumerations available of problems in St. Gore's arguments, charts and graphs. He should have quit while he was ahead, having merely invented the internet (an old DARPA project). His claims to understand the future are greatly exaggerated and most of the hot air he speaks of is emanating from him.

These guys are almost Calvinist in their approach to things. Always saying Inshallah (god willing) we will succeed, or Inshallah, this will happen.

So when they said Inshallah, this bomb will kill many Jews, and then exploded in their faces, why don't the rest of them get the message, fake as it may be, that maybe their god doesn't want them to succeed at this?

If it's a holy mission, and they died, then why isn't that good enough for them?

Just a thought.

Try saying "God willing, I won't burn my hand by putting it on a hot stove"

Then put your hand on a hot stove.

Burned, right?

So say it again. "God willing, THIS TIME I won't get burned!"

Sizzle

"Oww! Dang. Okay, okay, god willing, I won't get burned!"

Sizzle

"Oww! I have no hand! But allahu ackbar! He gave me another hand! And god willing, this time, this hand won't get burned!"

...how long can it take them to learn that maybe god doesn't want them doing this sort of thing.
If he were willing to help them kill all the jews, why are there still any jews?

You gotta admire their can-do attitude. They sure stick to it.

Like that song about the ant, moving the rubber tree plant. High hopes, these islamikazes.

Just what makes that ignorant milit-ant
Think he’ll intimidate a rubber tree plant
Anyone knows a milit-ant, can’t
Move a rubber tree plant
