Jihadist cleric Omar Bakri: Fitna "could be a film by the Mujahideen"

Preeeeeee-cisely. The formerly UK-based jihadist hits the nail on the head: for all the rage from Muslims about how Fitna "links Islam with violence," that link has already been made by the jihadists, who never aroused any significant rage among their peaceful brethren. The jihadists quote Qur'an to justify their actions -- it wasn't Geert Wilders who had to go hunting in the Qur'an for verses that matched those actions.

Yet in all the furor over the film, from the EU, the UN, the OIC, and everyone else, no one seems to have picked up on that point.

"Muslim reaction to Dutch film is muted," by Michael Steen, Andrew Bounds, and Ferry Biederman in Financial Times (thanks to D):

The imam at Friday prayers in Amsterdam's El Tawheed mosque spoke of "enemies of Islam", but in spite of that clear nod to Geert Wilders, the Dutch anti-immigration politician, and his film, the mood was decidedly relaxed.

"Wilders is laughable, he just wants attention," said Mohamed, a Moroccan welder among the 300 worshippers at the mosque listening to a sermon urging Dutch Muslims not to play into the hands of those who insult their religion by breaking the law. [...]

Across the Arab world, reaction to the film was muted and the subject was largely avoided in Friday sermons. A coalition of Jordanian media organisations said it would sue Mr Wilders and urged the government to review ties with the Netherlands and Denmark.

Iran called the film part of a "vendetta" against Islam. Several hundred people took to the street in Pakistan and the government summoned the Dutch ambassador. Muslim Bangladesh said the film could have "grave consequences", while the Indonesian government called it "racist" and "an insult to Islam", yet called for calm.

Omar Bakri, the Libyan-based radical Muslim cleric who is barred from Britain, did not think the film was very offensive. "On the contrary, if we leave out the first images and the sound of the page being torn, it could be a film by the [Islamist] Mujahideen," he said. [...]

Wilders cribbed all the material from Islamic militants.

And he gets blamed for the "message".

The upside down world of Muslims.

The circle is now complete. With alittle editing Finta DVD's will be Sold at Suai funded Mosque near you. Maybe now it can go up on U-tube.

Yes indeed, the mujahideen who call themselves Muslim like the Wahabi but have been denounced and condemned by the Shia Ayatollah Sistani for attributing this title to themselves. In other words, the major schools of thought do not consider Wahabi as Muslim, and it was the Wahabi who started all this terrorism on 9-11.

"Wilders cribbed all the material from Islamic militants.

That's ironic that these people would even be called 'Islamic' militants. If they were, they wouldn't be killing people just because of their idiology. There is a narration by prophet Muhammad (SAWH) in which he writes a letter to an opposing government of his time and tells them about some Christians who were under his protection. He tells the government that if you harm these Christians, you will be doing unjust to me, and we will do something about it. These are the teachings of the Prophet--to be tolerant. Therefore, these people who suicide bomb Jews and Christians cannot be called Muslims, since ayah 2:062 in the Quran states:
Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good,
they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

Why is Al-Qaeda killing people because of their religion then? And whoever made the video, since they were able to go through and pull verses from context and back them up with acts of terrorism, why didn't they put a big question mark and point to this verse that I have put above when they showed the Jew being killed by the Muslim? These are Wahabi and Suni so-called Muslims who are committing these acts. They have always wanted to dominate the world, and are now using Islam to do it--just like Columbus used Christianity to justify his killing of Indians when he found America. We all know that his actions were wrong, and these actions are wrong as well--totally condemned by Islam.

Indonesian government called it "racist" and "an insult to Islam"
excuse me what race is Islam again?
and as for being an insult to Islam funny thing about that it seems like Muslims are insulted at the drop of a hat even when there is no insult when one of their own radical preachers find nothing wrong with the film why are the Muslims complaining about insults or to Islam . Or could it be the insult to them is that an infidel told the truth about what they're up to!

It is really sad that no one except this forum thinks and express seriously about the Muslim masses plight. This forum helps them even to understand themselves better. No one will educate them like this forum does.Hats off to Mr Roberts,Mr Geert and all those linked with this. Muslims are having Pavlovian Conditioning problems. They are conditioned right from childhood by their education methods including Univs.,Madrasas,Mosques,Clerics etc. Not even their Muslim leaders really bother for their welfare(-Muslim masses everywhere). All Muslim leaders and World Leaders of UN etc can see privately that these Muslim masses are sick and diseased who need help and cure from it. But they deny this in order to maintain their vested interests and positions and keep on feeding religious fodder. These masses including clerics need a mass medical programme of WHO to Backward Condition them all to 7th Century and then bring them forward into modern times by Forward Conditioning. There are experts in Harvard,Stanford,MIT etc. There is no dearth of learned people. They can devise the Strategy and Programme to help these Muslim masses and clerics out of their pathetic pitiable conditions. WHO WILL DO IT ?. Or is it that everybody is interested only in Lip Services including the Hn'ble UN ?

That's exactly what I thought when I watched it, only thing missing from it was that Arabic music they love to play really loud on their videos.

I really am SO tired of them playing the "victimization" card. What really ticks me off is that they are validated in this when the press all buy into it. Poor them. Yah right.

It is fine with me if you want to "soft peddle" islam on this site but you are not going anywhere with it here. I am a little embarrassed for you but it's a free country.....isn't it?

Looks like Mr. Wilders marketed his Film the wrong way. Had he attributed it to Bin Ladin ,we would have no problems viewing It. Everyone would have been free to see it, reporters could report on it more, and we could hear the deafening silence from the Muslim world.

There are certainly misunderstanders of Islam. They just are not Muslims.

The World just has trouble grasping the Islamic Paradox. The News in general seems to want to insure things stay that way. They know more than anyone that Islam, all by its lonesome self, disproves Multicultural dogma completely and totally.

Integration is right up there with race as a word most sore fully used to convey a meaning that is untrue.

It would seem kind of strange to refer to Bakri's comment as "refreshingly" honest, but at least he was honest.

"Fitna" is everywhere, it seems. I downloaded two versions through E-Mule, one in AVI and another in WMV. It will not and cannot be suppressed, and it will not go away.

People are busy saving it and putting it in other formats - outstanding!

Omar Bakri is a very honest Musulman.

Rare as hens teeth, but like a breath of fresh air. We need more like him...

The Chief Rabbi of Russia condemned “Fitna”.
The idiot admitted he has not seen and is not going to see the film!!!
The rabbi belongs to the Lubavich movement of Judaism with the centre in Brookline.
Many rabbis around the world belong to the same branch of Judaism. I wonder if they support his attitude and also his “Christian brothers in faith”.

The mahometan puppet masters understand that the power & intimidation act is now played out with respect to 'Fitna'. It is out there to stay. Over 3-million hits the first day, with even a (relatively) non-biased p.r. piece in the New Duranty Times on Friday to spark the Infidel's curiousity. Since, like teddy bears and cartoons, the mahometan "outrage" is totally manufactured by these puppet masters, there is really nothing to be gained (and much to be lost if the few million of awakened Infidels should turn into a several hundred million) by overplaying their hand.

Solsticewitch13, I have no idea where these came from. E-Mule is a download vehicle not too unlike the old Napster.

E-Mule has to be loaded to your computer. Beyond that I can offer nothing else.

I wish I could offer more.

Omar Bakri exemplifies Surah 8 verse 24:

"O ye who believe; Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered."

Our hearts are the seat of compassion. Omar Bakri and all those who allow anyone to come between them and their own hearts will indeed be gathered to Allah (i.e. Satan.) How frightening!

Muniwar,

"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good,
they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve."

Then please explain 3:85 and 9:73.

FYI, the LiveLeak takedown has triggered some sensible (!!) political reactions. Now EU says that Islamists should counter publications with other publications, not with threats of violence.

My take: Dream on.

Danmarks Radio (in Danish).

"Yet in all the furor over the film, from the EU, the UN, the OIC, and everyone else, no one seems to have picked up on that point."

Because they don't want to face unpleasant truths!

Wishful thinking is a POWERFUL drive.

I think the reaction was muted because they don't recognise anything new here. That's what's appalling; they recognise the nihilistic truth, but have no moral reaction to it. This is the real evil of Islam: it numbs moral reaction.

The Quran endorses violence against non-believers. So what? What's wrong with that? That's the real disgrace here - that they have no guilt, no reflection that this is wrong.

A Church of Scotland minister acquaintance of mine in Glasgow was given a book by Mawdudi by his neighbour (a Muslim) who, in all good faith, honestly thought this was a good book for him to read to learn about Islam.

THAT is what we are up against. They just don't get it.

...So what? What's wrong with that?...

More like, "Our God tells us to do this. Your infidel concept of right and wrong is corrupt and false.".

...So what? What's wrong with that?...

Well, precisely. Islam corrupts minds so completely that we have to educate them in ethics. That's the problem.
