Indonesia warns YouTube to remove Fitna

Tolerance. "YouTube Warned to Remove Koran Film," by Patrick Goodenough for CNSNews.com (thanks to Doug):

(CNSNews.com) - The government of the world's most populous Islamic state says YouTube has two days to take down a Dutch lawmaker's provocative film on the Koran or it will block access to the popular video-sharing Web site.

The warning by Indonesia came as the U.N.'s primary human rights watchdog ended a month-long session amid allegations by Western member-states and non-governmental organizations that Islamic nations are working to curtail free speech.

Geert Wilder's 16-minute film linking Islam's revered text with terrorism has sparked protests in a number of countries. It also drew criticism from the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the European Union.

In Indonesia, a former Dutch colony, Information Minister Mohammad Nuh told a press briefing in Jakarta Tuesday he had sent a letter to YouTube demanding the film, "Fitna," be removed. If it did not comply, he said, the government in cooperation with Internet service providers would block the site.

As of early Wednesday afternoon Indonesian time, attempts to view at least one earlier-available upload of the movie on YouTube brought up a message saying, "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

But the film has been uploaded on YouTube by multiple users and can still be found with a simple search in both its English and Dutch versions....

Why not block it now? Why make such a big public issue?

Because Islam is hypocritical. They're trying to squeeze as much out of this as they can, and they're trying to publically "face down" the infidel.

If they really want to block it, block it. No need to do or say anything else.

Uhh, YEAH. And here's a prime example of it.

The film serves as a mirror to Muslims and their Qur'an - so they must not like what they see.

"You can't stop the signal"

"Fitna" is everywhere on the 'net.

Posted by: tanstaafl [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 2, 2008 2:18 PM

And the rationale for blocking Fitna is what? That is shows the truth?

This is like the old Inquisition trying to block Galileo's telescope from showing the moons of Jupiter or the mountains of our moon. Their rationale was that is disturbs the Scriptures with facts. Their learned reasoning was that 'facts' can be mistaken, or a trick of the eye, so they must not contradict holy scripture, which is the 'truth'.

The Muslim rationale is the same, that the facts of Islam's brutality disturbs their self avowed claim that theirs is a 'religion of peace', so it must be removed as offensive to their self image. Too bad MOhabs, but we don't believe you. The truth is not what you say it is, but what it is. Grow up and get over it, if you want to join the rest of humanity to understand the meaning of truth. Banning a documentary showing you in your own true light as virulently violent Islam as the truth, which is true, does not absolve you from that truth. Islam is a mentally disturbed, hateful, violent, and deceitful supremacist ideology for world conquest. They know that. What they don't like is that WE know that.

'Religion of peace' my a**.

What? No threats to kill You Tube employees? No calls for YouTube offices to be bombed? No threats of general violence and mayhem? What sort of a muslim does he think he is? He's a disgrace to the Ummah.

This guy must be one of the moderates we keep hearing about.

I think there's about twelve of them in all.

Time for me to up load it on to my "you tube"
channel, if only I can figure out how to change the format from "flv" to mpeg or wav, or whatever.
I down loaded "Mediacoder'to do this , but I can't seem get the hang of it.

Anyone out there know of a copy that is in the right format, so I can upload "Fitna"to my channel?

Wilders is really only guilty of telling the truth about Islam and Muslims to the world at large. You see--

We're not supposed to know that Islam is a continuous genocidal act that is destroying the entire human species. But Jakarta is too late.

WE KNOW ANYWAY--

Even if "FITNA" bites the dust.

And oh yeah--just look at the present condition of Indonesia's once-magnificent tropical rainforests, coral reefs, and biodivesity today: we see total desertification on a scale unseen since the fall of the Roman Empire, a process that may well prove unstoppable. Notice, too, that al-lah doesn't care, that illegal logging while usually being done in its name continues its destructive course remorselessly (the Indos will probably all die from starvation in a few years anyway as the place becomes an uninhabitable wasteland). So we can all see what being Islamic has done for Indonesia--- the death cult is now taking the biosphere in Indonesia down with it (for nothing, really, except that a pathetically lame book has told these idiots that ANYTHING can and must be done to spread Islam--so they do). Praise al-lah.

Does anyone really want to listen to Jakarta on ANYTHING? May God help us.

The problem for Indonesia is that FITNA has already been downloaded possibly by thousands of people and anyone can upload it to Youtube whenever they want. There are already several versions of FITNA at Youtube with one version having almost 1 million views.I don't have a problem with Indonesia blocking Youtube, since "offending" Islam is not a crime and primarily Muslims would suffer from lack of access.A side benefit of Indonesia blocking Youtube might be that the removal of a large number of Muslims from Youtube could result in a decrease in Jihad videos at the site.

pythagoras

What you say is partly true, but the are taking down the rain forests and replanting with palm oil, which by the way makes an excellent alternative fuel

Now these is scary, Indonesia ranks as #3 richest nation for natural resources, and they have it started yet going after them yet.

And just think, the USA and UN gave this to the moslems in Jakarta.

I do not have to go into detail for you as you already have a good insight about Indo and its recent history

As for starving, I dont think so, as nrearly every bodt has a bit of land, where they can grow something either to eat themselves or to exchange

I know of villages around where I live, people can get by without money, In fact they dont need to have money, now how many place in Europe or USA where you can find something like that.

So be careful it is very easy to under estmate Indonesia.

Joe Schmoe et al,

You can download it as a MPEG free using a P2P such as Shareaza or Limewire. Just make sure that once you download anything this way, be sure to virus scan it before you open it up.

Also, sometimes creeps will mislabel porn or other crap. However this is rare and it is usually a valid file as long as you check the size to make sure it's large enough to be what you are after. Just don't download any small files of 100 kb or less. Fitna will be much larger, probably around 200 +/- mb.

Here's a thought. We know that (good muslims) terrorists are using the net to recruit and pass information.

I would suggest that we unplug the whole Islamic world. Any sites that promote, sympathize and are otherwise used by the enemy should be shutdown without notice as soon as they are found. They will come back to life but again can be turned off. As far as economic issues are concerned lets start paying for real gas prices. But make sure the money does not get into the bad countries hands. Use it to finance the war.

Just some thoughts to aggressively wage this war they started.

This is good - A search of YouTube with "Fitna" reveals this:

“fitna” video results 1 - 20 of about 2,900

Not all of them are the movie, some of the are reactions and criticisms. "The Movie Fitna" will probably be be added faster than the YouTube folks can remove them.

Thank you Western politicians, intellectuals, social ingineers and academics. You managed to convince our societies that somehow our civilization is stunted and incomplete without heavy doses of multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion.

The result is the brave new world we live in of intimidation and fear. If it weren't for your foresight, we would never have tasted the benifits of whole seqments of our population that despise and hate us, and want nothing more than the destruction of our way of life.

Thanks to you, our journalist and filmakers have to hire bodyguards and hold up in safe houses because they dared to exercise the most basic rights once taken for granted as natural rights by all of us.

Let us hope that Kraken/Beelzebub/Allah dies on the surface as he tries to rise up upon being summoned.

The Kraken
Alfred Lord Tennyson

Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides: above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumbered and enourmous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green
There hath he lain for ages and will lie
Battening upon huge seaworms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by men and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

It appears that it's more than a simple redirect, i.e., foehammer's entire blog entry page has been replaced with a WordPress document that includes Javascript necessary to load the mp3 sound clip. The sound clip itself is loaded from http://www.elnino.gen.tr/, which appears to be a Turkish rap site. Ironic that that even in THAT they mimic the West - not to mention the entire technology they're using is Western.

Why doesn't the Islamic world refute the video, "Fitna" with a video of their own? Why not simply make a video that shows how Geert Wilders is incorrect in his analysis of the Koran? If Islam is indeed the Religion of Peace, it should be a easy to show the falsity of Geert's conclusions.

I think I'm ready -- ready as I can be in my pathetic attempt to protest the black gold wealth of the Middle East.

I recently purchased an '85 Honda Elite 250cc scooter that supposedly gets 90mpg with a top speed of 70mph. Indeed, the gas gauge (1.5 gallons) has gone down only a quarter since I've put 55 miles on the machine. The man I bought it from is a top notch mechanic who recently rebuilt the one cylinder engine. The thing runs like a top, or maybe even better than a decent Singer.

Anyway, I bought a second hand Joe Rocket jacket today along with a pair of Harley gloves. When I put on the Rocket jacket inside the house, I immediately became hotter than hell. It was only when I got out on the road that the garmet "opened" up and actually started to cool me down. Very nice, indeed.

So here I am with a crotch-rocket jacket and a motocross helmet sitting on a Japanese scooter. Embarrassed? Hell no!

I took the scooter out on the planned route to work this evening as a dry run, and then I decided to stop by a friend's house to say hello.

The look on his face when I removed my helmet was priceless. My hair stood straight out as if I'd been electrocuted. I'm gonna have to wet and comb it down after I get to work tomorrow. I knew when I left work today that I should have gotten my hair cut.

No problem though. I'll look like an insane Einstein if that's what it takes to weaken the enemy.

Never mind. The footer just picks up the blog title.

I wasn't aware of that because I never used the WP default theme, or Kubrick, or whatever it is (it's one of the two themes bundeled with WordPress).

I sure hope Foe didn't lose large chunks of his content, because he's been at it full time for years.

But it can't be good for him, any way you look at it.

Anyone see a dark cloud gathering overhead?

important memo to infidelk:

You may want to check your sources concerning Indonesian natural resources. They sound suspiciously out of date (and I can tell they date from the early Suharto years).

Don't let anyone tell you Indonesia is "rich in natural resources." It's not--at least not when they're divided up among 230 million people.

The assertion that Indonesia is the 3rd richest nation in the world for natural resources was long, LONG ago debunked, my friend. In the words of "Nations of the Modern World" 'there are several newly-independent nations of the third world to whom the fates have been even harsher than they have to Indonesia.' This is the far likelier reality. That also explains why Indonesia hovers on the brink of total ecological collapse--its resource base cannot withstand the pressure of its current population of 230 million (which is set to double in a matter of decades--thanks be to al-lah for that high birthrate).

The sad fact of the matter is, Indonesia's natural resource base IS grossly inadequate for its huge and rapidly growing human population. The "belief that the archipelago holds vast, untapped natural resources that can easily be exploited is a myth, but unfortunately it is a myth that dies hard, and unless it is finally nailed, there is scant prospect of indonesia finding a way out of its manifold difficulties." (That is a quote).

Indonesia' petroleum reserves were quite exaggerated and the archipelago I believe is turning into a major oil importer. Java's topsoil slides into the Indian Ocean at the rate of five hundred million tons annually (deforestation and al-lah-induced population growth; Muslim birthrates continue to be among the highest in the world). Land is worth nothing at all when there is no topsoil left to grow anything on it (Ethiopia in 1945 held 45% of its territory under forest--today it is barely 3%; starvation and malnutrition in Ethiopia due to inadequate food production is now commonplace). Starvation by the way has visited Indonesia many times in the past-- as in Java in 1965. Indonesis is set to become the planet's next horn of Africa (which was once forested, as were many now-denuded Mediterranean lands).

By the way, regarding the SE Asian palm oil crisis (which I have kept up with):

Indonesian oil palm plantations are planted AFTER the formerly forested territories involved are subjected to massive 'illegal' logging by corrupt Jakarta-based (and Saudi Arabia friendly) tycoons who strip these lands bare of every tree--and they do this on every parcel of forestland they can lay their hands on (which is just about all of them).

What's more oil palm plantations are planted AFTER the thousands of species that inhabit them are sold on the Jakarta black market (and of course after all the trees are gone and burned over) and end up in ritzy homes in places like Mexico City and Tokyo or Taipei.

Indonesia's lucrative and booming trade in illicitly-harvested timber and endangered species is a form of money laundering, income from which is used by Jakartan bigwigs to help financially lubricate Islam's grip on the archipelago--and guarantees that Indonesia will be Islamic in the future---and a desertified wasteland. Praise to be al-lah for this.

The death cult is succeeding in killing Indonesia's ecosystems and blinding both Indonesians and the world to this tragic fate.

Indonesian natural resources

Indonesia has TONS of oil. The problem is, the Indonesian national oil company is corrupt. Result is that they are a net importer of oil!

Many years ago, the CEO of their oil company was doing a very good job. He had been at Mobil, Exxon, or some other American big oil company, and he was running the Indonesian oil company like a business, not like the goose that laid the golden egg.

Then Mr. Bambang (or whatever his name is) got elected president of Indonesia, and the good CEO was booted out of his job, and replaced by a cronie. It's all been downhill since then.

alaskan1000 - the main thing Indonesia seems to export is forest products (from unsustainably logged forests - while the non-Muslim animist and Christian indigenous forest peoples, such as those who dwell in Kalimantan province on the island of Borneo, or those in Sulawesi and Halmahera, and the Melanesian people-groups who live in 'West Papua', are being dispossessed, bullied, killed, their churches burned, priests killed, and generally subjected to Jihad while their forest homes, game, water supply etc are overrun, looted and ruined by the Muslim Lords of Misrule).

So: in Australia, for example, one will find furniture, floorboards and paper products that bear the label 'made in Indonesia'. DO NOT BUY. Much of that timber or that paper is accursed: it is soaked in the blood and tears of non-Muslim victims of Jihad.

They sell fabrics and cheap clothing - again, don't buy, if the label says 'made in Indonesia'.

Rice and 'asian' sauces and spices are also exported - after all, Indonesia used to be 'the East Indies', the original 'Spice Islands' - that's why the East Timorese are Catholic and speak Portuguese, because the Portuguese got there before the Dutch. Same deal -if it's got 'product of Indonesia' on the label, don't buy. (Instead, seek out and buy East Timor/ Timor Lorosae coffee - it's supposed to be among the best in the world, and you'll have the satisfaction of helping a tiny non-Muslim country claw itself up out of the mess the jihadis made of it, before they were pushed out).

Now that they have gutted their own fisheries the Indonesian Lords of Misrule are sending well-equipped state-of-the-art robber ships (some are armed!) into Australian waters (and I mean right into Australian waters - into our bays and estuaries, they even LAND on our BEACHES) to STEAL OUR FISH, CLAMS, PEARLS AND TREPANG.

It used to be low-tech mom-and-pop rickety fishing boats, small stuff, for the past 300-400 years, which was no big deal; but it isn't 'poor fishing families' now, it's full-scale seaborne ghazi raiding, grabbing and stripping resources. I worry about some of the more remote Aboriginal coastal communities (remembering the Barbary Pirates, and what happened to Baltimore).

Lots of native Australian communities along our northwest coastline - who in past centuries happily conducted low-level trading with small numbers of Indonesian/ Malay visitors - are now getting very worried and hopping mad about the wholesale Indonesian raiding of their sea country. Time for the Australian Coastguard and Norforce to enlist our coastal blackfellas en masse and train, equip and pay them properly to patrol the coastline and nip the Jihad in the bud.

Final note: for a very readable and accessible assessment of Islam in Indonesia, read the chapters on Indonesia which may be found in V S Naipaul, 'Among the Believers' and 'Beyond Belief'.

There's also quite a bit about Islam in Indonesia, and historic background, in a fascinating book called "Krakatoa: The Day the World Exploded" by Simon Winchester. Among other things he notes that the 'radicalisation' or jihadisation of Indonesian Muslims really got going in the 18th/ early 19th century, once modern ships made it easier, quicker and cheaper for more people to go on Hajj.

Church leader calls for building of mosques to be banned because of risk 'Britain will become an 'Islamic state'

Warning: Many mosques are funded by money from abroad
A senior Church of England member called yesterday for the building of mosques to be banned.

Alison Ruoff said more construction would lead to Islamic no go areas dominated by exclusively Muslim populations living under sharia law.

Mrs Ruoff, a member of the General Synod, the Church's parliament, added: "If we don't watch out we will become an Islamic state. It's that serious."

Leading clerics have been divided over how the Church should respond to Islam. The Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams caused controversy by calling for sharia law to be given full legal status.

He later told the the Synod he took the blame for "distress and misunderstanding" that swept through the Church in the wake of the speech.

But Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, the Pakistani-born Bishop of Rochester, has warned against the spread of Islamic no-go areas and said amplified calls to prayer at mosques impose an Islamic character on nearby areas.

Mrs Ruoff, a former nurse and magistrate, is a conservative evangelical regarded as one of the more outspoken Synod members. She responded to Dr William's sharia lecture by calling for the Archbishop's resignation.

Speaking on Premier Christian Radio, she said: "We are constantly building new mosques, which are paid for by the oil states.

"There are enough mosques for Muslims in this country.

"You build a mosque and then what happens? You have Muslim people moving into that area, all the shops become Islamic, all the housing will become Islamic and that will be a no-go area for anyone else.

"They will bring in Islamic law. We cannot allow that to happen.

"We are still a Christian country, we need to hold on to that."

Inayat Bunglawala, assistant secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: "These are very narrow-minded and bigoted remarks.

"As a Christian, she surely ought to be working to build good ties between different communities."

Joe

Download Super C and that will solve your problems. You can select what format you want at the top left of the page and drag and drop your file to the designated area, tick the box and click on the encode button at the lower left. The encoded file is placed in your source folder with a .FLV.mpg extension, or whatever the case may be.

"I sure hope he has a good recent backup, hopefully not stored on the host server."

Haid, Foehammer should be able to retrieve all the materials on his web site without problem using the Wayback machine at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php. This is a wonderful service that continuously scans the entire world wide web and archives complete web sites at periodic intervals (e.g., monthly or so), including all the images, links, etc. You can wget everything from a previous image of a site if need be. I would guess Foehammer is aware of this, but if not he should be.

I just checked the Wayback snapshot of Foehammer's web site, at http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://foehammer.net. The last snapshot they have of him is for Jun 7, 2007, so anything he's posted after that would not be retrievable this way.

Dsinc,

THANK YOU! I've been looking for something like this to convert avi clips produced under Matlab to mpg level 1 for a long, long time. This does the trick, and more!

Thanks again.

Offtopic, to revkellykuffar - hi!

Interested to read your posting re. the synod in Britain.

Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali, he who caused all the kerfuffle by mentioning 'no-go' areas, is visiting Australia at the moment. He gave a public lecture (which I attended - venue [not small] was packed to the gunwales); took part in a debate with a Muslim spin-doctor at an islamic centre in a university (unfortunately I didn't know about that one and was atrociously sick with a cold anyway so wouldn't have been able to go along to watch the fur fly); is giving another public lecture; and will be preaching at two services at a city cathedral.

Judging from the question time at the public lecture I went to, there are not a few people in the Aussie Christian community who are quite wide awake.

One key point Bishop Michael made during a Q & A session was that Muslims must NOT be allowed to monopolise nor censor 'Islamic Studies' at universities in non-Muslim countries. Bishop Patrick Sookhdeo made exactly the same point in an excellent article on his 'Barnabas Fund' website.

“It's always backwards! Their brains are backwards!”

Darcy: Their brains are hanging down there between their legs! Not very uplifting!

If you want to know the truth and be knowledgeable in this world steer clear of any superstition. Meaning all religions! Especially the “holy scriptures” of religious bullshitters. Remember Christianity? It took some 300 years to fabricate this religion in the catacombs of Rome. But once accepted as a legitimate religion in 312 CE in the Roman Empire by Emperor Constantine, himself freshly converted to the new superstition, it was the start of an intellectual dryness that lasted 1200 years following its adoption as the only legal religion of the Empire under Emperor Theodosius in 380 CE. Then followed the exquisite body tortures of the infidels in the name of a mythical compassionate and all loving person by the name of Jesus the Christ! Alleluia! Allahu Chuck You! Tora! Tora!

The most detestable wickedness, the most horrid cruelties and the greatest miseries that have afflicted the human race have had their origin in this thing called revelation, or revealed religion. -Thomas Paine, “The Age of Reason” (p. 105)

PersonoftheBook:

I sure don't buy that line about Indonesia's petro reserves.

Indonesia's proven petroleum reserves are probably less than 200 billion barrels of oil in total (for purposes of comparison recently-found recoverable petroleum reserves in the Dakotas are greater than 200 billion barrels and may exceed 900 billion barrels; Canada's amount to over 1.6 trillion barrels). In fact, Indonesia's petroleum output has rarely risen above 2% of global production--even during years of peak petro output. I was slso told by a resident of Indonesia (during the 1970s) that Indonesia's days as a major petroleum producer were numbered, because its reserves had been overstated-- and over-exploited. (there are plenty of petroleum companies operating in Indonesia besides the state-owned one, Pertamina).

The Anvil is protected in multiple ways. There is literally no way that any hacker can take me off-line permanently.

Things will be set back to right soon.

Thanks to all for the emails and the comments.

The Islamic sensors can't police the Net. Too many people have already seen the film Fitna and it's too late to sensor it even if they manage to do so.
It's like the Danish cartoons - there's no stopping it now.
