They'll keep trying. And they'll also keep trying to smuggle in personnel and equipment by land, making it all the more urgent to deal with our porous borders. "Al-Qaida nuclear attack in planning stages," by Lalit K. Jha for NDTV:
Al-Qaida's nuclear attack against the US is in planning stages, top American intelligence officials have said.
Deposing before a Congressional Committee on Homeland Security early this week, these US intelligence officials told US lawmakers that the threat of nuclear attack by the Taliban was growing and there is need to enhance its security measures.
Charles Allen, Undersecretary for Intelligence and Analysis and Chief Intelligence Officer at the Department of Homeland Security; and Rolf Mowatt-Larssen, the director of Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence for the Department of Energy testified before this key Congressional committee on nuclear terrorism on April 2.
''There's been a long-term effort by Al-Qaida, to develop an improvised nuclear device,'' Allen said. ''I have no doubt that Al-Qaida would like to obtain nuclear capability. I think the evidence in their statements that they've made over many years publicly indicate this,'' he argued in his testimony.
Giving details of the Al-Qaida preparation, based on years on intelligence inputs, Mowatt-Larssen said: ''An Al-Qaida nuclear attack would be in the planning stages at the same time as several other plots, and only Al-Qaida's most senior leadership will know which plot will be approved.''
In keeping with Al-Qaida's normal management structures such as the role of Khalid Sheikh Muhammad in the 9/11 attacks, Mowatt-Larssen said there is probably a single individual in charge, overseeing the effort to obtain materials and expertise.
The intelligence officials commented that some nuclear experts / scientists may have joined Al-Qaida years ago, long before the world began paying adequate attention to the proliferation of the kinds of technologies that could yield a terrorist nuclear weapon.
Referring to the planning of the 9/11 attack, Mowatt-Larssen said it was operationally very straightforward. ''It had a very small footprint, was highly compartmented. Al-Qaida's nuclear effort would be just as compartmented and probably would not require the involvement of more than a small number of operatives who carried out 9/11,'' he said.
Mowatt-Larssen then went out to divulge his information about a prototypical Al-Qaida nuclear attack plot. This would have, he said, approval and oversight from Al-Qaida's most senior leadership, with possible assistance from other groups and a planner responsible for organizing the material, expertise and fabrication of a device; operational support facilitator, responsible for arranging travel, money, documents, food and other necessities for the cell; assets in the United States or within range of other Western targets to case locations for an attack and to help move the attack team into place; and finally, the attack team itself.
This hearing was followed by another classified session wherein other details about the possible nuclear attack by the Al-Qaida terrorist network were possibly explained to the US lawmakers in details.
''Beyond the basics I have outlined here, we do not know what a terrorist plot might look like. There is, however, a chokepoint in a terrorist effort to develop a nuclear capability. It is impossible to build a nuclear weapon without fissile material,'' he said.
The officials said that the task for the intelligence community is not easy. ''We must find something that is tactical in size but strategic in impact. We must find a plot with its networks that cut across traditional lines of counter proliferation and counterterrorism. We must stop something from happening that we have never seen happen before,'' he said.

In other words we have to think outside the box because these people think big and have to make the next attack even bigger than the last one.
Hope our intel people will not have their PC blinders on. Trust that info will flow up instead of what happened before when field officers saw that ME pilots only wanted to fly but landing was not needed. No-one was able to connect the dots. Hind sight is always 20 20, but this is not good. Just like Matt 24: Mens hearts failing them for the things that are coming upon the earth. Glad God is in control.

So, if we know so much about it and who these guys are, are we just going to sit around and wait for the mushroom cloud over Chicago before acting?

And meanwhile, there are muslims in the Pentagon.
Whatever.

The AP is reporting what the paki authorities are telling them.
"2 Die in Pakistan Nuclear Plant Accident"

Over here, some channels that are not PC are reporting something entirely different, and the number of dead is higher.

"Hope our intel people will not have their PC blinders on."
Fat chance.
Our intelligence, military, and law enforcement agencies have been almost completely emasculated by political correctness.
If, and that's a big IF, Al-Qaida is thwarted in their quest for a nuclear weapon, it won't be because of the FBI or CIA; CAIR and the ACLU have trained them too well.

Should all American politicians who opposed serious border security after 9/11 be strung up if such an attack occurs?
If not, why not?

Every American's prime concern is about the possibility of a major WMD attack on an American city and the very real and frightening possibility that this will unleash an unprecedented wave of anti-Islamic feeling nationwide (i.e. rudeness to Somali taxi drivers, grafitti on mosque walls etc.)

If anything major like this happens in the next few months we can kiss the financial industry goodbye. On top of the already precarious situation the economy is in, this would finish it off.

Has anyone beside me read Chechen Jihad by Yossef Bodansky? A recently published book by a highly respected (I understand) author. He gave us a bio and heads up on Osama BL well before 9/11 among other things.
In this book he discussed 'suitcase" nuclear weapons, the Chechen and Russina mafia organizations, the period of time before (and after) 9/11 and state unequivically the OBL et al. purcased 2 such weapons (he basically give dates, times and players) and shipped them to the USA at least 5 years ago (I forget the exact time and do not have the book in front of me)
I tend to believe the author after doing due diligence about him and his sources.
Anyone else read the book?

That's why we can't have nuclear Iran and that's why it was stupid to have nuclear Pakistan.

Bodansky reveals ominous Facts about missing Suitcase Nukes
NewsMax.com News Alert
Just this week, the head of Ukraine's communist party admitted that some 200 Soviet-era nuclear warheads have simply disappeared.
Pravda reports that a Ukrainian parliamentary member reveals that some of the warheads have been "lost." Previous press reports indicate as many as 50 nuclear suitcase devices are also missing from Russia's nuclear arsenal.
These reports confirm details of an exclusive briefing given to NewsMax readers earlier this month by Yossef Bodansky.
Yossef Bodansky is the author of the New York Times #1 best seller "Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America." He is arguably the world's foremost expert on al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, and he offers a stunning, confidential briefing to NewsMax's Off-the-Record Club.
Among his many revelations: Osama bin Laden obtained several nuclear devices from the Russian mafia. Bodansky's also claims that bin Laden has sought and received "fatwahs" -- special religious dispensations -- to explode such devices in the U.S. Bodansky cites Israeli and U.S. intelligence sources for his information.
Bodansky's information is not to be ignored. He has been warning the United States and the West about the dangers of Islamic terrorists since the late 1980s. He is now one of the most sought-after experts consulted by the U.S. government and governments worldwide. Bodansky is the director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare. He is the author of eight books on international terrorism and global crises, and is a former senior consultant for the U.S. departments of Defense and State.
You can find out about Bodansky's Off the Record briefing by clicking here:
http://www.newsmaxstore.com/a/bodanskytape
Here are just some of the valuable information you'll hear on this exclusive "Off the Record with Yossef Bodansky" tape:
** Why the current war by terrorists is actually a "desperation" move by the Islamic extremists, who believe that if they don't destroy the U.S., they will cease to exist
** His stunning revelation that "there is no such thing as al-Qaeda" - and who is really behind bin Laden and his associates and why many in the media don't understand the real enemy
** The Islamic war is by no means over. Bodansky warns that this war will last a long time and will be "painful" to the U.S.
** The clear warning offered by the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and how U.S. intelligence agencies dropped the ball
** The anthrax attacks are not the result of domestic terrorism, as the FBI claims. Bodansky offers compelling evidence that a foreign terrorist nation is behind the attacks.
** The shocking revelation that bin Laden already has several suitcase nuclear devices - and may already have one positioned in the U.S. (Bodansky reveals why bin Laden hasn't used these weapons yet and the clues that he is preparing to do so in the near future)
** New evidence that the Iraqi have worked closely with bin Laden and even sent scientists to help prepare his nuclear devices
** Iraqi and Pakistani experts have even helped bin Laden's network weaponize chemical and biological weapons.
** The significant mistake the U.S. already has made in Afghanistan, and why he believes the U.S action there has not significantly disrupted terrorist plans that will occur in the near future
** His conclusion that the terrorists are actually stronger since 9-11
** The inside U.S. government knowledge that several thousand highly trained terrorist killers like those who conducted 9-11 are still within the borders of the U.S. - supported by 10 times the number of support agents
** What U.S. and Israelis know about bin Laden's latest whereabouts - including handwritten letters they have intercepted
** Why Bodansky believes that the terrorists could well strike at U.S. civilian airliners once again - and do so with great success.
** What war with Iraq will really mean and the possibility of a worldwide conflagration with other terror nations like North Korea or others attacking the U.S. at the same time.

NOooooooooo kidding!?
I wonder if idiots grow on trees? Perhaps they come in packages as seedlings that you buy at a lawn and garden store; you add water, sunlight, and in three weeks you have an idiot growing up right there between the turnips and the pumpkins.
Whoever came up with these brilliant conclusions is an archtype of such an idiot. Still, I am not sure if they fell down from a tree like acorns do, or if they sprouted up on someone's semi-organic farm.
What galls me however, is that fact that someway, somehow, I funded this brilliant analysis to the tune of several millions of dollars when I could have gotten the same insights for free from a high-school girl who doesn't even know what nuclear bomb is really.
JES-- CHRRRRR-- ... we're screwed! That's all I can say, we are really screwed!

I would inform those who need to know that nothing needs to be transfered, or brought into this country.
Everything needed to do massive destruction is right here, right now, inside this countrys borders, today. Take control of just one, just one, weak point, and the nightmare begins. More than one at the same time, chaos.
Without anything being snuck across our borders.
All you need is the people with knowledge of Nuclear power, and a plan. Our leadership is giving away visas like junk mail. They will let in the enemy, just as they have done before.
And they are looking for some other thing to go after, not the real threat.

Passover begins on the evening of April 19th this year.
It might be worthwhile working around that date and trying to find out whether anything in the 'jihadi chatter' correlates with it.
Right at the moment I can think of only four ways forward
1. the Israelis stop behaving like dhimmis [if and when they decide to break with their virtual dhimmitude, there should be NO warning whatever - and NO explanations or apologies afterward - just...dead silence...BOOOOM!!!...dead silence].
and for the sake of us all
2. a force 8/ force 9 temblor in Pakistan, reducing nuclear sites to radioactive rubble, along with
3. a force 8/ force 9 temblor in Iran, focused in and around whatever is their critical nuclear site
4. Embarrassing 'work accidents' involving plots for nuclear jihad, primarily harming the plotters and exposing them to view
Holy God [i.e. YHWH - who is NOT the war-demon 'allah'], Holy and Mighty, Holy and Immortal, have mercy on us.

"..making it all the more urgent to deal with our porous borders.."
== == == == == ==
Yeah. Right. I'm still waiting for our esteemed Congresspersons to all collect in the same room and undertake something -- anything, to be frank -- of value to our country.
I emailed all of those I could, after they voted down the re-revised Shamnesty bill, thanking them for voting against it and hoping they could now do something useful like BUILD THE FENCE, HIRE MORE BORDER PATROL AGENTS, MAKE OUR BORDERS SECURE.
Any decade now.

come on, Al-Qaida's and the likes have been saying for years that they were going to do a nuclear attack or something and they generally said about when they were going to do it but never did, so why should we believe them now...
They know that if they do that, that they are all dead from our retaliation..
And to think that we pour trillions of dollars in there to help these people out, and to think that our hearts used to go out to their population who were being oppressed by their own and their own slaughtered millions every year...what fools we are.. I dont feel sorry for them anymore and I no longer want to help them out of the hell hole that they are in.. If their own wont stop the hateful teaching from their clerics/leaders from the cult of hate then they can just go back to killing themselves again..
