UK jihadist who praised London bombings could get life term for inciting and funding terrorism

nterror205.jpg
Smell the coffee

For Abu Izzadeen's delightful encounter with John Reid, in which he essentially denied British sovereignty over predominantly Muslim areas of East London, see here. For his mocking of the victims of the London bombings, see here.

"Muslim fanatic who heckled John Reid faces life in prison for inciting and funding terrorism," from the Daily Mail (thanks to all who sent this in):

An Islamist who once praised the July 7 suicide attacks on London was today found guilty of fundraising for terrorists and inciting terrorism overseas.

Abu Izzadeen, 32, a former electrician who once heckled the former Home Secretary John Reid, was convicted at the end of a three-and-a-half month trial at Kingston Crown Court along with five other men who were also found guilty.

Sulayman Keeler, 35, who was born Simon Keeler to a Roman Catholic family in Crawley, West Sussex, was convicted of the same two charges as Izzadeen.

Abdul Saleem, 32, and Ibrahim Hassan, 25, were convicted of inciting terrorism but cleared of fundraising for terrorists.

Shah Jilal Hussain and Abdul Muhid, both 25, were found guilty of fundraising for terrorists.

Rajib Khan, 29, was cleared of the same charge. The jury failed to reach a verdict in respect of the charge of inciting terrorism overseas in his case.

They also failed to reach a verdict in respect of Omar Zaheer, 28, also charged with the same offence.

The jury did not return a verdict on a third offence of encouraging terrorism faced by Izzadeen, who was born in Hackney, east London and who changed his name from Trevor Brooks after converting to Islam.

Izzadeen described the 2005 suicide bomb attacks in London as "mujahideen activity" which would make people "wake up and smell the coffee"....

Oh, I smell the coffee just fine from here.

YES! Hopefully these convictions signal a growing trend.

Hurray! Justice has prevailed. Now we won't have to look at that ugly, hate-filled face again.

Why do they always look like they have a problem with too little roughage in their diets?

Posted by: R_not [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:17 PM

If I understand correctly, he has not "got life" yet, he has only been found guilty.
He will be sentenced on Friday, and then we will find out for how long he is likely to be locked away.
It may turn out to be much less than we would hope for, but at least he should be out of circulation for a few years.

Conquest of the World will be postponed.

Posted by: FreeSpeech [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:28 PM

He looks like Sigourney Weaver's Alien. As the teeth part ways, a miniature Abu Izzadeen comes out seething even more bile.

Posted by: Celsius [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:34 PM

Wait till they're sentenced before celebrating.

"Faces" life in prison is a far cry from "gets" life in prison.

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:34 PM

And "gets" "life" in prison is probably no guarantee that he will never walk free again someday. Life doesn't mean life here.

Wonder if he will declare Her Majesty's prison a no-go zone for kuffar now? Oh wait ... it virtually is, already.

Posted by: anti-uffe [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:40 PM

Posted by: PMK at April 17, 2008 3:34 PM

Agreed. I am skeptical as well.

Posted by: awake [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:41 PM

Not a lot of virgins in Her Majesty's prisons. Nice reward. I am sure he will be looking forward to the pleasant dreams, maybe some pearly boys, like what the Koran says.

Posted by: savsiv [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:50 PM

Remember, we're dealing with British justice. After appeal and so forth, he'll probably be out in a couple of years.

Posted by: Cornelius [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 3:54 PM

I was actually in Kingston this week.
There were quite a few hairy taliban types around. I couldn't figure it out. Now I know why !
All you see in their eyes is hate, thats all, not a sign of warmth, nothing.

Anyway two of these hairy types were walking around the old market square and you should have seen their faces when they saw the pork products on sale.
I was trying to figure out who the pigs were.

Putting him in a prison is like like planting kudzu in Georgia.

This video, though critical of Enoch Powell and simpering and judgemental against him especially in the last three minutes, shows a true prophet.

Britain should have listened. And all the European countries should have listened, too.

What a waste of a life. I'm not a bleeding heart, but I do feel a sense of compassion for these jihadists who squander their lives in the service of a false god. I recall 1 Corinthians 13 when I think of these guys.

This said, what does a life term mean in the UK? Is he out in ten years?

Posted by: James Martel [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 5:23 PM

Posted by: Cornelius Remember, we're dealing with British justice. After appeal and so forth, he'll probably be out in a couple of years.

Izzadeen and his mates will appeal ,appeal and appeal again. His sentence will be reduced to a few years. His lawyer will then find some way that his Human Rights had been breached. He will be out in less then half the time served, with a huge amount of compensation to boot.

The European Human Rights legislation, it seems to me, is in line with the Cairo Islamic Human rights - as it should be.

He'll be sentenced on Friday? Wow, if he had been convicted here in the U.S. his sentencing hearing would be sometime in early 2009 (if we were lucky). Then again, if the trial had been held here, it would still be pending and sentencing would be (assuming he was convicted, which seems to be difficult around here) would be sometime in 2011 or 2012. Quick and speedy trials, not to mention justice, don't exist around here.

Posted by: walterc [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 5:50 PM

The way I know multikulti Euro-justice the conviction hardly means time in jail.

Not for the *herrenmenschen* of the ummah, these noble savages...

No, jail time is for people who publish an islamo-critical blog in Singapore..

My gut feeling is they'll sentence him to "community" service.. they're looking to import "moderate" imams.. so there's something he can do..

Back to the way things should be done:

I'd have a special deal going with Vladi Putin or the Chinese.. though I do like some of the more creative suggestions made above :-)

"Quick and speedy trials, not to mention justice, don't exist around here."

This quickly is unusual. In many cases it’s no different to the US, particularly when the taxpayer is meeting the lawyers bills.

Posted by: Fred [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 6:19 PM

"We drink the blood of the enemy"- yep, that's him, Izzadden. But he did understand his Islam. Not to worry, he'll be out in no time.

And FYI: Mullah Krekar is now a permanent feature of Norway, he can't be deported:

More soft jihad, wasting the treasure of the nation to house, feed, medicate, educate and coddle these maniacs for decades.

Nooses are cheaper and more instructive.

"This said, what does a life term mean in the UK? Is he out in ten years?"

I believe the theory of a "life" sentence is that if they commit another serious offence during the rest of their lives they can be fast tracked back to prison. So much for the theory, I think 7 years is the average for a murderer and remission reduces this by 50% so say about 3 years if he is a good boy.

Posted by: Fred [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 7:23 PM

Bye Izzy! Enjoy your Terrorist self! (P.S. You won't be getting any coffee in prison!) LOL!

"Putting him in a prison is like like planting kudzu in Georgia."
Posted by: poetcomic1

Good point. Does this just mean he'll be free to proselytize in prison, like so often happens here in the U.S., and recruit a bunch of new jihadists who will then be free to wreak havoc on their release? Does the UK even have a system in place that keeps track of this and acts accordingly?

Hopefully the sentence will be of solitary confinement, and it will be followed by deportation immediately upon release, whenever that is.

"Abu Izzadeen, 32, a former electrician," quit his job after being electrocuted and seeing what he described as a "vision of black-eyed virgins who look like Salma Hayek" and who encouraged him lustily, saying that they could ALL be his if only he would only become a Muslim and "kill and be killed in the cause of Allah."

He can hardly wait...

The former Mr. Brooks should have kept the name, even if he doesn't look anything like Kevin Costner.

Posted by: Lex [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 17, 2008 7:43 PM

""Abu Izzadeen, 32, a former electrician," quit his job after being electrocuted .."

as a result of his failure at being an electrician, the secret Iranian terrorist training school turned down his application...they cited they didn't need any more accidents.

and

I think he is showing his war face to try to scare his future cellmate "FatMIke" (who is in jail for assault, rape, child molestation, sexual battery, kidnapping , strongarm robbery, resisting arrest, home invasion with intent to kill and for pimping...Naturally, mean scarey faces do not impress "FatMike"(they don't call him FatMike for no reason)

It's too bad that Great Britain gave up capital punishment. I could just see him being led to the block, having his head chopped off and the Executioner proclaiming: Behold a traitor!

Oh for the good old days of King Henry VIII.

Yes! I registered just to be able to leave this comment. To have watched this clown too many times spewing hate and worse, and to know that the long arm of the law, and British Law no less, has, finally, got hold of him, is, truly, sweet justice. There is a new book out called Leaderless Jihad by a psychologist, named Sageman, which implores societies to go after such people with the law because nothing is more pathetic looking, and bad for the image of jihadists, than a jihadist convicted like the criminal he is (of course Sageman isn't the only one who's said or is saying this). While not trying to say this is what the whole effort against radical Islam should comprise of, this is an important part of it when it is possible. I hope he gets life.

does that mean he has a short in his trousers?

Posted by: watling [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 5:54 AM

sheik yer'mami,

Yes, the former Mr. Brown suffers from Fried Weiner Syndrome (FWS), a debilitating condition, and in his case, untreatable, but even as he clenches his teeth and rages away in his complete impotence, he should take some consolation knowing that he will always be a dickhead.

Abu Izzadeen (real name Trevor Brooks) gets four and a half years.

BBC report:

"Abu Izzadeen (real name Trevor Brooks) gets four and a half years."

That much?

They couldn't even give him consecutive sentences. They had to run concurrently. Why am I not surprised?

Does Britain have parole or another form of early release? Is there any chance he'll be out before the next parliamentary elections?

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 12:51 PM

The UK parole system allows early release under supervision. To put it simply your sentence can be reduced by any amount up to one half. The decision is entirely up to the Parole Board and is made case-by-case. See, for example:

http://www.paroleboard.gov.uk/prisoners_and_families/a_quick_guide_to_the_parole_process/

In the UK, the Prime Minister can call an election at any time - the term is no longer than 5 years and (from memory) he has to give a minimum of 6 weeks notice.

This disgusting filth is famous for telling a "joke" about people dying at the World Trade Center on 9/11. He laughed after telling the "joke" while his Muslim audience chuckled. I wonder if another inmate will pour hot coco on his head and burn all the hair off his scalp as happened to another Jihadi.

Makes me want to go to jail in Britain just so I can get a chance to "meet" this Motha*ucka.

What do I do.. fly to London.. find the nearest mosk.. smash in their windows.. get arrested..?

Since I am white I know they won't dismiss whatever charges they can scare up.. the pigs..

Friends.. this is how the American Indians must have felt seeing their chiefs sign all sorts of senseless "treaties".. I am beginning to feel a whole lot of sympathy...

Our "WESTERN LEADERS" are acting juts like those naive Indian Chiefs.. they're selling out their people - US - for shiny trinkets..

The "Injuns" had no answer to this dilemma.. do WE have one..?

WE are the injuns now.. we know what they are doing.. and we are paralyzed and know not how to STOP this madness!!!
