Terrorist who has nothing to do with Islam calls on Muslims to make Iraq "fortress of Islam"

zawahiriFeb08.jpg
That zebibah has nothing to do with Islam, you Islamophobe

In a happy coincidence, Zawahri's latest is sixteen minutes long -- roughly the same length as Geert Wilders's Fitna. And in it, he links Islam with terrorism by equating Islam's fortunes with those of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Yet the 57 Muslim governments of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, as angry as they are about Fitna, are likely to say nothing at all about this Zawahri audiotape. The EU, which has just strongly denounced -- in the wake of Fitna -- any attempt to link Islam with terrorism, is likely to say nothing at all about this.

And what's even more unconscionable, in light of our need to understand the threat in order to defend ourselves against it, is the fact that although Muslims like Zawahri link Islam with terrorism on a daily basis, the outrage is always reserved -- among non-Muslims as well as Muslims -- for the non-Muslims like Wilders who point this out, not for the Muslims who actually make the link.

"Zawahiri calls on Muslims to make Iraq 'fortress of Islam,'" from AFP:

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri said that building Iraq as a "fortress of Islam" is the "most important duty" for Muslims, in an audio message released Thursday according to the SITE monitoring service.

In a nearly 16 minute audio file posted on jihadist Internet forums marking the fifth anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq, Zawahiri, known as Al-Qaeda's ideological thinker, called on Muslims to fight for creating a greater Muslim state.

"We will only get our rights back with our own hands and not through beggary or fraudulent elections," he said, according to SITE's summary.

Zawahiri's talk, titled "Five years after the Invasion of Iraq and Decades of Injustice by the Tyrants," contains references to US Iraqi commander General David Petraeus's April 8 testimony to the US Congress, and to a textile worker strike in Egypt on April 6 as evidence that it was a recent recording, according to SITE.

The monitoring service said he called on Muslims to make Iraq a "fortress of Islam" and, underscoring the Sunni Muslim orientation of Al-Qaeda, he referred to a plot against Iraq by the United States together with Shiite Iran, which he said would lead to the Mideast region exploding. [...]

"The United Nations is an enemy of Islam and Muslims: it is the one which codified and legitimized the setting up of the state of Israel and its taking over of the Muslims' lands," Zawahiri said in that recorded talk.

Zawahri apparently doesn't realize what a great friend his cause has in the UN.

When will the people recruited for these loathsome tasks of martyrdom figure out that the imams, the preachers, the leadership of Hamas, all of them are old men whose own children are sent out of the islamic paradises they govern, and are not recruited themselves for their own missions of death. It's always someone else's kids what gotta do the deed.

building Iraq as a "fortress of Islam" is the "most important duty" for Muslims

"Duty for Muslims"? Um, question --- What about Allah's duty? Doesn't al-Zaw ever wonder why the Almighty Himself seems to be helping out very little these days? You'd think nearly 7 years of his deposed Taliban devoutly jihading to regain their "righteous reign" would've gotten God's attention by now. Couldn't Allah simply decree "Be!" (a la sura 3:47) and this whole "fortress of Islam" thing would be done in a day? Adding insult to Allah's non-response, those blasted "great and little Satans" seem to be having it better than most "Islamic fortresses" nowadays.

Here's the answer:

thousands of European and American companies are selling their services to the ME. The Arabs produce nothing, nothing but the oil we found and drill, refine and transport for them, and we shower them with the greatest transfer of wealth in human history (Hugh)

As a result they're buying our goods and services, and everybody in the world wants a piece of the cake.

And this is the result:

I've seen some of this stuff covered in Nat. Geo. specials. This has to be the craziest and most fantastic architectural madness the world has ever seen. The long term success of the enterprise seems to be predicated on the expectation of vast numbers of tourists. But who do you suppose will come to their aid when an earthquake or the first big storm knocks a few of these buildings down, or an ocean wave sweeps over one or more of these artificial islands? It's ironic that it's Dutch technology that's behind the construction of the islands. Wonder what Geert Wilders has to say about this?

Anyone know whether there will be any gambling?

maybe he doesn't know that 60% of the UN's money spent on humanitarian aid goes to Muslim Countries.

If he is correct, then this money must stop flowing.

Zawahiri says: "The United Nations is the enemy of Islam and Muslims." That's like calling Genghis Khan a liberal, the John Birch Society left wing, Liberace macho, or Jimmy Carter a Zionist.
Is that a zebibah on his forehead, or is that where they sucked his brains out?

Who says Iraq had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda?...or vise versa..

Posted by: pulsar182 [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 6:29 AM

Look at those books behind Zawahiri.
These guys always seem to be filmed with gold-leaf bound books in the background.
It gives the impression of learning I guess.
It would be interesting to see the titles and content of those books.
Encyclopedia Britannica?

What odds they are all full of debate on the ramblings of a 7th century bandit, pedophile, murderer and wannabe prophet?
What a waste of paper, if so.

I wonder what Zawahiri would say if he found out he'd been banging his forehead on the floor for Satan all those years.

Every picture tells a story.

An fanatical islamic terrorist obviously out of his mind - possibly caused by constantly hammering his head into the ground, hence the scar - stood infront of islamic literature with an assault weapon propped up against them.

A fine and truthful representation of islam indeed.

Let me explain Dubai to you. When the strongmen and various "kingdoms" in the ME are finally overthrown, Dubai is the place the slimey princes and others will flee to. This explains why so many houses are sold, but stand empty at the moment.

Also, Zawahiri's ears droop too low, which means he's inbred.

Posted by: Bingo [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 7:49 AM

Well that's a good early-morning laugh... Sure, the zebibah has nothing to do with Islam... neither do all the books on the shelf behind him either, I am quite sure... heh...

Yeah. The zebibah maybe not, the lobotomy, yes. Hey where'd you get the lobotomy, Doc? A new, non-invasive, non-surgical lobotomy procedure, called Islam, of course being heavily promoted by the good Doctor.

Zawahiri really ought to do something about that bruise on his forehead. I know a good doctor who would be happy to see him...Eastview

Eastview, this is Zawahiri's way of claiming special status among muslims by showing them how religious he is. He probably hammers that spot intentionally when he prays. Many 'devout' muslims show a spot there ostensibly because they have fulfilled their daily duties of ritual prayer. An ignorant devout muslim will take this to mean Zawahiri is very religious merely because he has a bruise on his head there. This gives the muslim the impression that Zawahiri zealously fulfills salat or prayer five times a day.

islam is one of those few religions by which you show your zeal by self abuse. Notice the Buddhists in Tibet demonstrate against the Chinese and threaten to immolate themselves in protest. Muslims do this also except they are only allowed to kill themselves if they are intentionally trying to kill you. One has to wonder whether Zawahiri's smashing his head against the floor five times a day has knocked something loose?

Posted by: David England [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 8:05 AM

Well, at least Zawahri knows that the Shi'ites are heretics. Hey, it's a start...

- by Bingo

And how long will Dubai hold out once that day comes? The princes might flee there but it will be a trap - like the one our leaders THOUGHT they were setting in Iraq. They figured everyone would show up to fight in Iraq and they could knock them off one by one. Well, if all those princes show up in Dubai, it will be easy as proverbial pie for the Islamists to knock them off. Even easier, since Islamists won't have to worry about the annoyances of international law or public opinion. The world will turn a blind eye and maybe even stifle a yawn before getting on with the business of buying ME oil and selling them arms.

PS - I got a laugh when Yuksel, cataloging the crimes of America in Iraq and Afghanistan, made reference to "carpet bombing".

In an age of precision "smart" bombs, where collateral damage is less than at any time in the history of warfare...I guess he was referring to the destruction of Persian rugs.

Posted by: Cornelius [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 18, 2008 9:03 AM

You're right, PMK. Dubai may end up as a "neutral site" after radical Islam completely takes over the region, but after a few years we can expect car bombs and the usual destruction of the place. Until Islam embraces "reason," that's the fate of the practioners.

I am always intrigued to see how Arabs always seek to emulate and outdo the architectural achievements of the civilisation that they most profess to despise. (www.dubai-architecture.info/DUB-GAI1-html).

Some buildings, however, can be just a little too high.

How will people on the very top floors of these structures manage with reduced oxygen? Will they be walking around with oxygen cannisters strapped to their backs?

Also, is it possible that these buildings might be vulnerable to terrorist-driven aircraft?

It was about this time that I realized the majority of the men everywhere I went had a small round bruise on their forehead reminiscent of something out of the book of Revelation. My guide told me that it was from hitting their head on the floor when praying. He also told me that in Egypt specifically, and perhaps elsewhere, some men heat up a metal spoon in a fire and stick it on their forehead to accentuate the bruise.

PMK, your remarks above about the likely fate of Dubai are among the most insightful I've read recently. Being financed by extravagantly wealthy Saudi princes is the only logical explanation for how such an Islamic playground can even come into existence, since it otherwise lacks a raison d'etre. But, as you pointed out, their tenure there is likely to be only temporary if the House of Saud falls to the the ilks of Zawahiri and global jihad.

Darcy...I dropped those folks a note, but I doubt they will print it...

Tales from the darkside. A little OT...

When I worked in mental institutions, there were a lot of 'head bangers', and some of them had zebibah's. Something in common maybe? I only had an association with one muslim patient, he was the only one. A Black Muslim, of the Nation of Islam. I knew nothing of Islam in those days but he would tell me about vengeful Allah. He was very dangerous. He had murdered someone in the past with a knife. I was the only one he liked, and that was shaky. I saved him and the whole staff from bloody mayhem one night.
I was at lunch and the staff decided to overwhelm this uppity 'N', and strap him in bed as an object lesson of respect.(He had a disagreement with a staff member). I got there just in time and said 'Wait a minute let me go talk to him'. During the conversation, he voluntarily surrendered a straight razor, with which he had intended to defend himself.
He did not have a zebibah, and I never saw him pray, but he did have his nose in the Quran most of the time. He told me that Allah had given him the power to destroy his enemies. His enemies and Allah's enemies are the same enemies.
I'm glad that he saw fit to consider me a low level enemy and turn over his weapon. The people in the office had no clue until I showed them the razor...

Eastview,
Thanks. My only fear is that our leaders will decide they have to defend Dubai when that day comes. After all, Dubai Ports World are the ones running how many ports all over the world? Can't let anything put a damper on international trade, now can we? We'll keep the global economy humming until it kills us, literally.

His zebibah is just a little too dark. I suspect that Zawahiri is like most Egyptians. He uses sandpaper to make a prominment zebibah on his forehead so that people think he's devout.

If he really had it from praying, there would be a mark on the tip of his nose as well, since observant Muslims press both the nose and forehead to their prayers rugs five times a day. Anwar Sadat had his zebibah from actual prayers and you can see the discolouration on his nose.
http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=93077&rendTypeId=4

However, for hypocrites like Zawahiri, rubbing sandpaper on your nose is probably more painful than just rubbing it on your forehead.
