"This (attack) was part of our operation against the Dutch. First it was because they have occupied our country and secondly it was in retaliation to the Dutch insult to our great prophet Mohammed."
"Dutch chief's son killed in Afghanistan for 'Fitna,'" from AFP (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):
The son of the Netherlands' new military chief was killed by a bomb in southern Afghanistan on Friday, in what Taliban militants said was retaliation to an anti-Islam film by a Dutch MP.Lieutenant Dennis van Uhm, the son of General Peter van Uhm, was one of two Dutch NATO soldiers killed by the roadside attack, a day after a suicide blast took 25 Afghan lives.
General van Uhm was named top commander of the Dutch armed forces only on Thursday.
"We knew that the son of Dutch chief of staff was in the vehicle," rebel spokesman Yousuf Ahmadi told AFP, changing his account from an earlier statement that the militant group did not know who was in the car.
"This (attack) was part of our operation against the Dutch. First it was because they have occupied our country and secondly it was in retaliation to the Dutch insult to our great prophet Mohammed," Ahmadi said.
Ahmadi's claim could not be independently confirmed and the rebel spokesman has in the past made exaggerated claims....

"...secondly it was in retaliation to the Dutch insult to our great prophet Mohammed," Ahmadi said."
Good Grief. You misguided souls. Mohammed is not a prophet, and he certainly wasn't great - he was evil. And his evil is still in operation today, just like there are those misguided souls who follow Hitler.
Rest in Peace, Dennis van Uhm, brave soldier on the side of Right. Murdered by Barbarians.

'because they occupied our country'.....?? Ahmadi is not from Afghanistan, so who invited him the the country and he is no differant than any other occupier.
I feel so sorry for Muhammed that something like a cartoon or a video shakes the foundation of his religion. A religion that is so fragile to not be able to stand the tests of accusal, accountability, critisism.

If he did in fact know who was in the vehicle before it was attacked, how did he know this? Does the dhimmi Dutch government have Muslim traitors in its midst? Will they investigate the truth of his claims or will they bow down in fear?

These sadistic asswipes make it up as they go along. They had no clue who they were blowing up. They just love to play with bombs.
Rest in Peace, Lt. van Uhm.

I still don't understand the moslem uprising against Fitna.
The entire piece only quotes the "holy" koran and depicts the preachers of the islam disseminating the words of the "holy" koran to the faithful.
Are they protesting against their own prophet?
Teachings?
Or are they just angry that the dhimmi-pop (a/k/a non-moslem population of the Earth) are now versed in the teachings of the 'holy' koran?

P.S. It was a lucky hit for the islamists.
Sincere condolences to the family of the slain soldier, and wishes of peace as you deal with this terrible loss. May this boy's name be written amongst the 10,783 other victims of islamic violence counted since 9/11.
Has anyone tracked or counted the islamic violence attacks/kills pre-9/11? Should we call Billary Clinton for a more accurate account?

Slimy. Opportunistic. Malignant. Parasitic.
Just a few words which come to mind when observing such servile tactics. Muslims employ the tactics of beastly thieves, psychotic maniacs, and the lowest human vermin.

I do not believe these thoroughly odious people one iota.
We see things like this time and time again when the islamic terrorists murder people indiscriminately.
They find out who they have murdered through the internet and then claim it was some sort of precise well planned and targeted murder.
In other words more lies from these amoral hypocrites.

And by that time someone will have the courage to proclaim the entire sphere of the Martian surface is a possession and territory of the United States (and everyone else in the West owns it too I suppose:~)
With the entire surface sphere of the Moon already in our pocket, and the Moon is where no Islamist will ever tread or bow down in prayer, Mars will soon be ours, and next on the list is the Saturnian satellite Titan. Yahoo!

This is the collectivized mind in action.
And the collectivized mind is what underlies racism, tribalism, various sorts of political chauvinism, etc... and ties them together.
The murderer sees someone who comes from the same country as another person who he thinks has been disrespectful to someone in his own group, and murders him.
No individuals involved in his thinking at all. My gang vs your gang. That's it.
The whole house of war vs house of islam or whatever the hell they call it, it one of the most popular and virulent forms of collectivism on the planet today, and lamentably sacralized in the mohammedan "holy" books.
I suspect that mere racism in its common forms is a less destructive element in human affairs.

I see there isn't a single post here about the Reuters reporter who was murdered by the IDF. It's expected from you haters though. As a practicing jew I would not step foot on Isreali ground until everyone one of you evil bastards are brought to justice. Thank god the world is finally beginning to see the truth, and it's just a matter of time before the world community comes down on Israel's leaders like a heavy hammer. God is with the people of Gaza, they will be rewarded in the afterlife for their patience and suffering. You make me embarassed to say I'm a jew you haters. Killing members of the press and calling it an accident is the height of arrogance and hatred. I saw the tape and heard the reports. There was press and TV plastered all over that car and the poor guy was holding a camera. There's no question about this, so please spare me your a$$anine excuses and opinions. Have you forgotten totally what our people the jewish people have gone through? You are worse than Hitler. When I think of the hateful jews of Israel, I think of flies on feces. The hateful jews are the flies and the soil of Israel is the feces. You turn my stomach. I pray for the people of Palestine and Gaza.

asad, there are always casualties in a war zone. The pals have made the area a war zone and after they lob bombs into israel daily - what the heck do muslims expect?! Oh, I forget the muslim expects that the infidel should just lay down and take it and never retaliate because muslim's arrogance makes them think they are superior. I don't know why they should feel that since they haven't done one darn thing to make this world better.
The muslims wail the loudest and that is why they get the world's attention. One day the world will wake up and realize that the koran, islam and the muslims who follow it are the ilk that are the psychopaths starting the aggression. Why the world hasn't woken up yet beats the heck out of me. But, it will.

Was reading the artikel in "de Telegraaf" early this morning. I hope that Balkenende, will not use this, to attack Geert Wilders again. Then I was reading an article from "CodePinkalert" against the war in Iraq, I get so upset at these women to call our soldiers "terrorists".
If I would have been there, I don't know how I would have reacted, with my son being in the Middle East for the 3d time. How do you keep this separated, the war what is being fought in the Middle East and the uprising against Islam. The CodePinkladies might mean well, but don't seem to understand what they are up against, these fanatic Muslims are not going to change their minds, they might smile in your face and stab you in the back. Arafat is a good exampel for that. When I am reading some of the European newspapers, you notice that this generation does not know what War is.Being born in The Netherlands, I know how liberal they are to welcome everybody in the country and now ist is compleetly out of control. The soldiers, who fought with the break- up from Yugoslavia, will understand. We are in a terrible situation in Yogoslavia too. Helping the the Muslims and look at the situation their now. And now we have almost the same situation in Iraq , the battle between the Sunni, Shiite's and Kurds. These people from CodePinkalert want to go to Iran, the people who are going, have to check their passports,in case that they had traveled to Israel, if their was not a stamp in their passports from Israel, I guess when they do, they have to get a new passport. What a bunch of traitors against the Jewish people. I know that people from Iran who live in Holland, demonstrate against an attack to Iran,
they want to have a change of the government, but not by the way of going too war. But I don't believe, this is possible with this regime, who is in power now. Dhimmi Carter now in the Middle East and than Dhimmi CodePinkAlert is next. Jimmy Carter have tried to solve the problems with dialoque. You cannot reason with these people, they are not goging to stop their Jihad against Israel and the rest of the world.

You really are bone stupid aren't ya. Have you read about the increase in world food prices in the current events in the library at that special school you must attend. I'll explain it to you. The price of oil is increasing the cost of food production and shipping all over the world. In many countries it's doubling and tripling the cost of groceries to the point where people who where relatively financially secure only a few years ago can't afford to feed themselves. This has led to riots in many countries in africa, the middle east, asia, and the carribean, but you wouldn't know about food prices cause your mommy probably does your shopping. Have you noticed how much the price of milk has increased? Where do you live in a cave, on Mars? Holly crap are you stupid.
and if for some crazy reason I was a Jew working for those crazy idiots at CAIR like is stated above, I would be being alot more polite. I'm a jew and I'm proud to be one and I'm tired of big hater dummies like you embarrasing me and my religion, and the jewish people.

That said, this Asad (Asaad?) may claim to be a "practicing Jew" but I'll tell you he needs a hell of a lot more practice before he becomes anything I'll ever recognize as a Jew.
His words, and the habits of thought they reveal, are pure whiney mohammedan style victim-talk. On which basis, I suspect he is another Jew-hating mohammedan, albeit in Jew's clothing.
But whatever the case might be, to make such hate filled comments about Israel and Israel's Jews on the very night before Passover is very much beyond the Pale -- in the original sense of the phrase, which dates to the time when the Jews of Italy were confined to a ghetto called the Pale, which I believe was even surrounded by a wall. Beyond the Pale, where the hostile others lived -- i.e. strictly NOT KOSHER.
Lest I be seen as casting aspersions on the noble and humanitarian culture of Italy, let me remind my gentle fellow posters that the Italians (Italian soldiers no less) allied though they were to the Germans in WWII, actually placed themselves in harm's way to protect Jews -- so committed to human decency were they.

What kind of Israel would you like to see Assad?
An Israel that makes it clear to the international community that first and foremost that they want peace for their people. Not through their speech but through they're actions.
What does that mean? Just some of the things that this means to me for Israel.
Make a sacrifice for peace and forgiveness in God's hands.
Immediately allow humanatarian NGOs, and the press, free access into Gaza along with medical supplies, clean water, food.
Begin a policy of IDF disengagement in the area.
Outwardly and sincerely promote a Palestinian state, and work with the international community sincerely to try and bring this about.
In a gesture of good will begin in stages an evacuation of all settlements in the west bank and discontinue projects in progress. This should be done as progress is seen.
Relenguish the Golan Heights.
Admit to the reality that hamas is not going away and begin indirect talks only for peace with Israel and reconciliation with fatah.
Agree to a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalam eventually.
Then and only then welcome more Jews like me to the holy land.
This is just a start.

Hubert:
Found the following at:
World Wide Words - BEYOND THE PALE
Not sure how well grounded it is. No mention of Italy at all, don'cha know. But for what it's worth, here it is:
================
That word pale has nothing to do with the adjective for something light in colour except that both come from Latin roots. The one referring to colour is from the Latin verb pallere, to be pale, whilst our one is from palus, a stake.
A pale is an old name for a pointed stake driven into the ground and — by an obvious-enough extension — to a barrier made of such stakes, a fence (our modern word pole is from the same source, as are impale and paling). This meaning has been around in English since the fourteenth century. By 1400 it had taken on various figurative senses — a defence, a safeguard, a barrier, an enclosure, or a limit beyond which it was not permissible to go. The idea of an enclosed area still exists in some English dialects.
In particular, the term was used to describe various defended enclosures of territory inside other countries. For example, the English pale in France in the fourteenth century was the territory of Calais, the last English possession in that country. The best-known modern example is the Russian Pale, between 1791 and the Revolution of 1917, which were specified provinces and districts within which Russian Jews were required to live. Another famous one is the Pale in Ireland, that part of the country over which England had direct jurisdiction — it varied from time to time, but was an area of several counties centred on Dublin. The first mention of the Irish Pale is in a document of 1446–7. Though there was an attempt later in the century to enclose the Pale by a bank and ditch (which was never completed), there never was a literal fence around it.
In any case I think my usage still stands. "Beyond the pale" = "strictly not kosher".
It may be more general in origin and application than I originally imagined though.

PS My comments about Italy and the WWII Italians still stand.
... even though the great Orianna Falacci is probably spinning in her grave at the sight of the Eurabian antics of today's Italians.

Ah, the unprovoked insults rear their ugly heads. Often the token indicator of the intellectually disingenuous. Proposals akin to those suggested by this current subject have been attempted,in one fashion or another, since Israels inception, with little or no progress toward a peaceful solution. The stark reality is Jews, even the self loathing, appeasement filled variety on display here, will never be tolerated as side-by-side equals in the region. Strange that reciprocity should be a one way street what with the free healthcare, greenhouses, endless concessions in territory despite five decisive victorious major campaigns since '48. UNPRECEDENTED behavior by any victorious state in the annuls of military history. Suffice to say this poster's slip is showing, but he/she should fear not,the current occupant of Pennsylvania Ave. and his secretary of state, are leaving no stone unturned to see that this nationalistic experiment vanishes forever from the face of the earth.

asad's, 'Well's it's quite obvious you're american. Only an american would have the stupidity to think it makes sense to spend billions perhaps trillions of US dollars to send a man to Mars, an icey rock millions of miles away, when people are starving and suffering all over this world and it's only getting worse. Please I hope they send you Mars, and yes claim it for America, we'll have a good laugh at your expense when you do, and please don't ever come back.'
I find it funny that when we give money to muslim countries they are able to buy more bombs and weapons while you think we should be sending EVEN MORE money to feed the ones that you should have fed with the money we sent to muslim countries in the first place. Go start using your 'muslim charties' to feed the poor. Oh, that would mean you would have to stop buying more bombs to murder others though.
Heaven forbid a muslim do something for themself - like feed their own! They have godzillions of dollars of oil money and what do they do?! They buy more weapons. Think of how to make something into a bomb. Make more bombs. Even use children as bombs. Yep - I think asad and his ilk need to start feeding their own. Oh, but if we stopped sending the money then the wails and gnashing of teeth would start. boo hoo.

This is strictly psychological warfare. I'm glad to read that the Dutch people commenting on the web are not blaming Wilders, since he only said what needed to be said in "Fitna". The next time the Dutch kill a bunch of Taliban, they should proclaim it was in honor of this fallen soldier. Kill one of us, we kill a hundred of you. It's not hard to win a war of attrition with those kinds of ratios.

"Taliban kills Dutch military chief's son in revenge"
The headline should have been:
Another murder suicide in Afghanistan by a muslim suicide murderer- Dutch chief's son targeted in arbitrary murder of family relative of chief and in arbitrary murder of Dutch people in general. This attack follows last week's jihad attacks of muslims which during the week of April 11, 2008 aggregated to 47 Attacks; 191 Dead Bodies; and 313 Critically Injured persons (source:thereligion of peace.com). The article should point out that spokespersons for attacking muslims claim attacks will continue until infidels cede sovereignty to them and agree to accept inferior status in world and pay jiza.
The unarticulated question on our editorial pages is not whether we are allowed to associate islam with violence, but whether and why islam is capable of such profound murderous violence. It has become so routine and banale for islam to be connected with such obscene violence, that the fact that we ignore its connection to islam is bizarre.
Indeed, what is most pathetic and foreign to non Jihadwatch readers is that what is most obvious to us is not articulated, the fact that there must be something very profoundly different about islam that causes such attacks!
We need a special kind of psychiatry to explain the islamic culture of murder suicide! As we have seen so much of this inflicted by the paleo muslims on the Israelis for over 50 years, and as it is now rearing its ugly head worldwide (as muslims aggressively confront their non-muslim neighbors, perhaps we can learn from the Israeli experience.
What kind of culture teaches its children to use this obscene tactic suicide murder on itself and on others? Jamie Glazov has an interesting article in FrontPage this month that assembles a panel of medical and other experts that tries to explain this inhumane and obscene tactic practiced by Islamo-Fascists.
One of the panelists, Dr. Anat Berko, Lt. Col. Israeli Defense Forces(Ret), a research fellow at the International Policy Institute for Counter Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya says from her studies and from an interview of a murdering bomber:
" “The sight of blood doesn’t affect our children…” he explained. They watch the slaughter of a lamb to celebrate a family occasion and see blood spurting out all over as the animal dies, so “blood is not strange to them”. He even chuckled and asked: “Are your children (western children) able to watch the slaughter of a lamb without fainting?” That is in addition to the sharp transition to celebration in which large quantities of ‘baklava’ (sweet cakes) are consumed with other sweet treats by guests after a ‘shaheed’ explodes himself and kills other innocent people anywhere in the world. Such experiences have a deep formative affect on their lives."
She also says: "There is also the aspect of learning through emulation for these children whose cultural heroes are bloodthirsty terrorists. Youths who were involved in acts of terror told me that as young children they would play in the streets, with their faces masked and if a child was lucky he would be given “a rifle to shoot with” by one of the older activists."
The whole article may be found at FrontPageMagazine.com: http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=08F0ED32-1CA7-4B20-A263-E561B6009459
What is unique about this rash of worldwide suicide murders is the fact that the only thing these murderers have in common is islam itself! The fact that suicide bombers can be found worldwide anywhere suggests there is something profoundly dysfunctional, antisocial and psychopathic about the religion and its culture.
Indeed, one of the interesting things in the Glazov article is the result of a recent study in
the UK. The report about honor murder called "Crimes of the Community: Honor-based Violence in the UK" by the Centre for Social Cohesion. Geo-mapping was done. Quoting Nazir Afzal: "If you had a map of the UK showing the location of Islamist groups -- or terrorist cells -- and you had another map showing the incidence of honor-based violence and you overlaid them you would find that they were a mirror; they would be almost identical. It could be that this is simply because this is where South Asians live or it could be something else --it could suggest that there is a strong link between these two attitudes." (p.86).
No, the violence we will be experiencing in the West will not be home grown. The murder suicide violence will likely originate in cities that have honor based killings and violence. Amina and Sarah indicate that Dallas is a good candidate in the U.S. But there are now hundreds of other cities worldwide in the west where this may and is taking place, not just Dallas!

Looks like Spencer can't find any "Fitna rage" (try looking at the Dutch Jewish community, they've had more protests than the entire European Muslim community has had against this film), so he's trying to make the war in Afghanistan = Fitna rage? Weird, too bad nobody outside this site seems to believe you.
Just doing some thinking...

"Beyond the pale"
Try this. It's a UK site but Americans and British speak the same language, don't we?

Pelayo:
When I saw "Phrase Finder" the top, I thought it might be an online version of J.I. Rodale's Phrase-Word-Synonym Finder book. It's got all sorts of arcane phrases, metaphors, etc. If I could find mine, I might sound like a poor man's Hugh Fitzgerald.

You should increase the amount of "thinking" you do before posting. Spencer has already outlined what he thinks is the "strategy" against the West vis-a-vis "Fitna" and the Taliban themselves made the connection to "Fitna", so, once again Spencer is just pointing things out and gets shot by Muslim apologists as the messenger. It's BS and indicative of low character or inability to "think".

"We need a special kind of psychiatry to explain ..."
And while they're at it, perhaps they can try to explain the mahometan compulsion to impersonate Jews in anonymous discussions. Is it because deep down they know the Jews were right all along about the crude, licentious, and ludicrous 'prophet'?

Pale... I read that it was Roman. A pale was a stake driven into the ground, meant to define a boundary. As in beyond the boundary...
I know there are links here but that's what I recall readin' somewheres.
Wow. asad had some major rage problems there eh?
Y'know...when a known liar tells me a story, like the liars at Reuters, I tend to be a little skeptical when they move their lips. I can't put a great deal of faith when they report on anyone gettin' hit by the IDF. I seem to recall a "little boy gets shot by IDF" story that they fabricated entirely, and stood by the lie for years. Truth, as truth often does, finally came out. Didn't hear much about that though. Just the lie got air time.
As for the rantings of the barking dog asad...he says.....
"You are worse than Hitler."
He who plays the Hitler card first loses...
All statements thereafter are irrelevant.
Goodbye loser.
As for the Talibans hit...
They're just goin' about their job of killin' folks, knowing that eventually, they'd kill someone that they could claim was killed in revenge for X. Whatever the revenge of the day happens to be. Fitna will do for now. It doan take much to get em' killin'.
We know it takes nothing more than the fact that there are still free people on the planet to enrage them.

I remember about 5 years ago when I was in the middle east and my wife and I had just had a meal and were walking back to the hotel on a nice cool evening.
We were walking back to the hotel hand in hand and then I felt a rock hit me on my back.
I turned round and of course nobody was there... nobody to be seen.
Purely typical of these cowards - these snipers.
I picked a rock up off the ground and threw it in an almighty temper in the direction were I had been attacked from, it hit the mosque wall and then a weird looking guy with a beard came out and I threw a rock at him also.
It was and is an illustration of their cowardice and tactics.
Me and my baby walked back to the hotel and slept easy after that.

Nice site. Thanks.
Similar data to what I found elsewhere, but nice literary citation.
I'm really puzzled about the whole Italy thing. Sooner or later I have to figure out if I've had it wrong all this time. It sure looks that way as of now.
BTW I believe it's said that the US and UK are two nations separated by a common language.

asad states: "An Israel that makes it clear to the international community that first and foremost that they want peace for their people. Not through their speech but through they're actions."
Haven't you been paying attention?! Israel has made one gesture towards peace after another, only to be met with more of the same: greedy land grabbers who want it ALL!!!!!

If asad is a Jew, he is the sort who travels with St. Pancake's like.
Asad if Israel did what you suggested, the Jews of Israel would be wiped from the Earth.
The wars Israel has fought were in self-defense.
If Arabs would lay down their arms there would be peace...if Israel lay down their arms, Israel would cease to exist.

'because they occupied our country'
Forgoodness sake, what do they think is happening in the European countries, Muslims are occupying more and more of our countries and whats more they show their appreciation by not getting jobs and living of our generocity, gang raping our girls, insisting that we follow their ways and having riots if we dont, and simply causing trouble where ever they go. It is time that they and us woke up to their evil..
Mohammad chose one of 360 gods of that time and allah was a well known god of 1400 years ago, many artifacts have been found with the moon god and its star and cresent on it, so why do they think he is special. After all Allah was a god of agriculture, WAR and the SWORD, I wonder why mohammad chose him, of course from his example of what he wrote in his evil book one can only guess eh,, joking of course it is obvious to people who have half a brain why he chose that god, he was the god of war and the sword.. Mohammad didnt chose allah because he was a god of agriculture as mohammad hated agriculture..
