Remember this one the next time someone tells you that the Palestinians voted for Hamas because they were tired of the corruption of Fatah, and not because they support the jihad terror agenda that Hamas espouses.
Tiny Minority of Extremists™ Update: "Palestinians' backing for terror rises," by Khaled Abu Toameh in the Jerusalem Post (thanks to Sr. Soph):
The number of Palestinians who support attacks against Israelis continues to rise and more than half of them favor suicide bombings, according to a poll published this weekend. The survey also showed that Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh is still more popular than Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
The percentage of Palestinians who support "resistance operations" against Israeli targets rose from 43.1 percent in September 2006 to 49.5% at present. Support for this option was highest in the Gaza Strip, at 58.1%, with 24.5% in the West Bank agreeing.
Palestinians who support bombing attacks against Israeli civilians rose from 44.8% in June 2006 to 48% in September 2006 and to 50.7% now.
Again, more Gazans support these operations (65.1%), compared with 42.3% of Palestinians in the West Bank.
The Palestinian public is divided on the rocket attacks on Israel: 39.3% said the firing of these rockets was "useful" to Palestinian national interests, while 35.7% said they were harmful....
Harmful to their interests. Not wrong. Not immoral.

Support for suicide attacks is increasing? Increasing from what? When did support, if not frequency, of such attacks ever go down?
Three Gazans blew themselves up in explosives-laden trucks and barely impacted the IDF soldiers at the border crossing. Some of the soldiers were wounded, most lightly to moderately. Keep it up and the terrorism problem will solve itself. Gaza will commit suicide.

At one time I thought if the United States, the Japanese, and Germans made a few historical propaganda films and broadcast them into these regions with enough power to overwhelm their normal programming we might be able to change public opinion. The thought was that it might give them a window into their future.
However, the more I learn about their "total system" of belief the less optimistic that a significant number of the population would "get it" anyway. Sad to say, but PMK is probably correct:
Keep it up and the terrorism problem will solve itself. Gaza will commit suicide.
… and probably not just Gaza.
They seem so intent on trying to push our buttons, like they'll be around to savor it if they succeed.

The Palestinian People are the "proxy Sword" against Israel on behalf of many of the Islamic Nations. They are driven by a never ending wheel of hatefull propaganda fed to them for generations starting with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood and carried on by the PLO,Fatah,Hezballah, and Hamas while being fueled by the Iranian Mullahocracy.
Less we forget that Iraq's late dictator Saddam Hussein paid out openly handsome fees to families of Palestinian Suicide bombers.
Could Dhimmi Carter who is still trying to validate his ill begotten Nobel Peace prize from the 95' Israeli/PLO accords grasp the intransigence of this overwhelming disease of hate for the Jewish Nation? Obviously not.

Oh, this CAN'T be right! Dhimmi Carter says that Hamas wants to "live as a next door neighbor in peace" with Israel!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24235665/
You mean to say that Hamas actually practices Taqqiyah? In this day and age, when "moderate Islam" is the "predominant" sect, and terrorists are a Tiny Minority of Extremists™?
Humph I say, to all you Islamophobes! LOL
P.S. darcy, it's ok. I'm not Jewish, but Islamic terrorism still makes me say "Oy!" quite a bit. Followed by "Gevalt!"

LOL, Lori, I'm not Jewish either, but I also saw how the "OY" (typo) was OK! Isn't "Oy Vey" a Jewish saying meaning "Good Grief?" Something like that! Sometimes typos actually work out!

Darcy...I only could read about half of that piece of comedic taqiyya before I laughed myself sick. If there is some magical benefit to chanting Quran verses in Arabic during prayer or reading it in Arabic, what are they? And if there are such benefits, why is it no one seems to know about them.
What does chanting Quran verses do for you that chanting other mantra's wont. And is not chanting to produce an magic effect, and then is un-Islamic?
And while Quranic chanters encourage non chanting muslims to learn Arabic to chant, there is no explanation as to just what this does for them.
And does this not divide Islam further, the chanting muslims and the non chanting muslims. Obviously the chanters are superior, simply because they know enough Arabic to chant. So what do we see as the result of a lot of muslim chanting in Arabic?...Allahu Ackbar accompanied buy jihadists, rioters, and assorted Islamic hostiles waving the very Quran they were just chanting in Arabic.
Yep, I can see where if you are one of the afflicted, reading/praying the Quran in
Arabic may be helpful to conjure up the jinn (demons) of jihad, but like Mickey Mouse in the Sorcerers Apprentice ( The multiplying mop scene), once you let the demon out,
you need help to get it back in...

So, does over 50% approval of random rocket attacks on Israeli civilians make the Palestinian population in Gaza legitimate civilian targets for the IDF/IAF?
Just remembering the popular support for Hitler and Hirohito in WWII and how it was fought and won.

Hi swami,
You know she's brainwashed. Just like the Mormon group in the News right now - all the women in their identical homespun prairie dresses, helium voices, and up-swept hair, signifying some kind of wierd status within the group. Clones. No, they should not be allowed their children back. They couldn't protect a fly.
Of course the American News isn't correlating any of this Mormon polygamy with Islamic polygamy. Of course not. That would be racist and bigoted.
