In a time of universal deceit, taking immediate positive action upon hearing the truth would be a welcome relief to who would otherwise die at the hands of the deceivers..sticking your head in the sand and believing the deceivers will go away if only they were left alone is not an option..

Count me in.

I can tell you though - there are a LOT of people who do not want to hear the truth. There are a LOT of people totally cowtowing to the threats of muslims. There are also a LOT of people who just chose ignorance.

Truth is a hard pill to swallow. (I think someone said that but I have no idea the person to attribute it to.)

I belong to a Catholic website and they have a section where there are a lot of muslims practicing taqiyya and da'wa.

The Catholics will kick off their own when a muslim whines. I have not been kicked out because I know their tactics. But, it just amazes me that the truth is not something that our own accept.

Excellent!

It takes courage to stand up and speak the truth when the consequences can be unpleasant (for folks like me) and downright dangerous (for leaders like Robert Spencer).

It takes intelligence: we have to read about jihad and Islam, analyze and absorb what we've read, and tailor our words according to the people we are addressing.

It takes wisdom: it's crucial that we speak at the right time.

It takes tact and patience; we have to be good listeners, too, if we want to really communicate with and be heard by others.

It takes strength to stand alone.

It takes compassion to stand with others in need.

It takes kindness to see the humanity in all people.

It is the day-to-day efforts that get results: writing to newspapers and politicians, talking to the people in our lives, donating money if possible.

These actions will not induce the same adrenaline rush that some derive from imagining the world in flames and the sound of warfare all around. As such, they will require real work and real determination today: speaking the truth about Islam and jihad, as Robert Spencer does, day in and day out.

Show me a voluntary Muslim and I'll show you a liar. There certainly are Muslims who like being Muslim (all too often for the polygamy, misogyny, kaffir rape and booty, etc), just as there are prisoners who like being in jail, but like prisoners (or Castro's Cubans for that matter), they have no choice--they either like it, endure it, or risk being punished or killed for trying to escape.
A person that voluntarily becomes a Muslim is not a yet Muslim until after conversion. It is a one-way road, and once Muslim it is no longer voluntary. Think before you drink the Islamic kool-aid. There is no faith in involuntary submission, only fear.

The truth? ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF PEACE. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF LOVE. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF TRUTH. ISLAM is NOT A RELIGION OF TOLERANCE. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF FREEDOM. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF REASON. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF MODERATION. ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF GOD.

ISLAMISM threatens peace; threatens universal, selfless, and transcendant love; threatens truth and truthtellers; threatens toleration; threatens freedom; threatens reason and the rule of law; threatens moderation; and threatens YOU and ME. ISLAM is the idol of ISLAMISTS, the desolating abomination spoken of by the Prophet Daniel.

Very profound, a man that understood the real deceit in Human Nature.

We already have 'thought crime' if you transgress political correctness.

Sex crime if you criticise or comment on certain lifestyles. The equivalent of Islamo Fascism but for sex. Far more important to some Western minds.

The way minority viewpoints promote themselves today using techniques ammounting to intellectual terrorism, is it surprising that a really dangerous ideology can flourish in spite of reality. You have no value set with which to judge, as judgementalism is out. Anything except having values is in.

gkong3

thanks for the kind thoughts re. Anzac Day.

I didn't make the dawn service, but our suburban RSL had a march organised - starting 7.45 in one of the local parks and progressing about a kilometre to the memorial outside the RSL (Returned Servicemens' League) building. All timed so that those who wanted to, could go into the city afterwards and attend the big march.

There was a VERY good turnout. Lots of old Diggers with medals; descendants and relatives of old Diggers, wearing the medals of their fathers/ grandfathers/ great-grandfathers/ uncles and grand-uncles; local schools; local bands including seven bagpipers who played a lament during the laying of the memorial wreaths; community groups. Plenty of people rather than sleep in on the public holiday had gotten up early to line the route and applaud our old and not-so-old soldiers. I saw many young couples with small children.

At the end of the march there was a memorial service - standing room only - hundreds of people. One of the speakers was a young soldier who had just done duty in Iraq. He came from a family of soldiers; he spoke of how his dad had been in WWII and his grandfather in WWI.

Here in Australia, the fog as regards Islam, and speaking plainly about things like Jihad, is still reasonably thick in the MSM and in politics.

But: a LOT of people, over the past ten years or so, perhaps since the Gulf War, have been showing up, in increasing numbers, both to march in, and witness, the Anzac Day ceremonies. The pundits have been, I think, surprised by the increasing numbers on the streets.

I'm not. I suspect that at a deep level, a level they can't yet articulate, ordinary Australians sense that there is in fact a war on, and that it is much bigger and scarier than the seemingly far-away skirmishes in Iraq or Afghanistan or Timor. September 11 was bad, but Bali was a real shock, it affected whole communities; London, too, because we do still have that cultural tie with Britain.

And so, subconsciously, we're gathering round our old heroes, the old stories, seeking inspiration.

I agree wholeheartedly. Only...and I've said this before...

Islam is not a religion. Period.

Islam is a government, totalitarian in nature, in the guise of a religion. Created to benefit one man, this invention of Mo's, continues to savage the world.

Like some killing machine from a science fiction movie, the monster lives on long after it's creator has passed on, killing and killing in his dead name.

truth kills it... I feel like it's my responsibility...that I have an obligation to try and spread that truth, just as I would warn people of a coming flood or fire. What else can we do?

> "Don't fight a battle if you don't gain anything by winning."
> George S. Patton

Patton probably read Sun Tzu, who wrote 2500 years prior:

- Move not unless you see an advantage;
- use not your troops unless there is something to be gained;
- fight not unless the position is critical.

and

- If fighting is sure to result in victory,
- then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it;
- if fighting will not result in victory,
- then you must not fight even at the ruler's bidding.

and a few similar observations. Here's something to keep in mind:

- The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming,
- but on our own readiness to receive him;
- not on the chance of his not attacking,
- but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.

and, while searching for moderates:

- We cannot enter into alliances until we are acquainted with the designs of our neighbors.

Five little pigs were in the forest. One day they found corn on the ground and ate is. That continued for a while. Then they found a fence on part of the plot, but the corn was there so they ate it. The next day a second fence was built, forming an "L", but the corn was there so they were not afraid and ate the corn. On the third day the corn was there, but the fence had become a "U". On the fourth day, the fence had become a circle, with a door in it, but the golden corn beckoned in the middle of it so the pigs entered and gorged and left through the door. On the fifth day, the pigs returned, saw the corn, entered the fence and ate. While they were eating, the door closed.

That is how taqqiya works. On with the revolution!!

I have to agree. But it's not just Catholics.

I have found it difficult at best to convince many Protestants (most of whom have read Tim LaHaye's nonsense 'Left Behind' book series) that the descriptions of the Imam al-Mahdi and Issa in the Hadiths are completely in line with the Antichrist and False Prophet of the Bible. They're waiting for some white Russian (not the drink) wearing a $1000 suit to be the Big Bad, and some of them think that by being 'tolerant' of Islam, that they're doing their Christian duty. They don't realize that they're playing right into the Big Bad's hands.

If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

You ask, What is our policy? I will say; “It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.” You ask, What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.

Sir Winston Churchill

In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE… Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant… While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and goodwill towards men.
--John Quincy Adams

Full speed ahead, and damn the torpedoes! On with the Revolution!

Long before John Quincy Adams . . .Maimonides nicknamed the loon "the Meshugga Prophet".

Maimonides makes clear that the unrelenting persecutions of the Jews by the Muslims is tantamount to forced conversion:
…the continuous persecutions will cause many to drift away from our faith, to have misgivings, or to go astray, because they witnessed our feebleness, and noted the triumph of our adversaries and their dominion over us…
He then notes: “After him arose the Madman who emulated his precursor since he paved the way for him. But he added the further objective of procuring rule and submission, and he invented his well known religion.” Medieval Jewish writers often referred to Muhammad as ha-meshugga, Madman—the Hebrew term, as historian Norman Stillman has observed wryly, being “pregnant with connotations.”

The days of innocent visions: of Ali Baba & his Forty Thieves – when Sinbad was only a heroic sailor - of Scheherazade’s delicate beauty poignantly imagined in Tchaikovsky’s symphonic melodies – but alas, dear friends, all these prior fancies have long vanished - melted like snow - in the gruesome realities wrought since 9/11. I am with you JihadWatch! I am with you! This battle – this struggle to defeat and defend the light of freedom in the West – the chasm between good & evil – darkness & light – this epic struggle against Islam brings to mind (for me at least) J.R.R. Tolkein’s valiant King Aragorn as confidently addresses his army which lies poised before the dark gates of Mordor:

“Hold your ground! Hold your ground!
Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers,
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails,
when we forsake our friends
and break all bonds of fellowship,
but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields,
when the age of men comes crashing down,
but it is not this day!
This day we fight!!
By all that you hold dear on this good Earth,
I bid you stand, Men of the West!!!

J.R.R.Tolkein’s “Lord of the Ring”

I bid you stand, JihadWatch (Robert, Hugh, Marisol, et al) & its readers, and God you speed as this is no less an epic struggle we now face against Islam!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuudddddddddddde!
You got to fight,
for your right,
to party.

Literally. Rock on.

Do you realize that Sharia Light will outlaw Miller Lite? That's enough right there.
Let's roll.

Well Sharia can't be all bad then. Miller Lite should have been outlawed years ago along with all those other awful American "beers".

Perhaps you should try some real beer. How about Adnam's Broadside, Tanglefoot, Old Specled Hen, Old Peculiar or the Village Bike. Served at room temperature of course.

Cheers....hic!

Meccano

It is all bad and I have tried all.

"It is all bad and I have tried all."

Are you serious?

Perhaps we could start a beer/alcohol thread. At least when discussing the finer points of various beverages we won't get bothered by Naseem and all the other trolls. (don't know what they're missing)

You should visit Belgium. Now they have some beers.

I've had some Belgian beers and they're all good so far. I'll drink a Miller Lite in your honor in a couple of hours. Salut.

I'll drink to that

Bottoms up!

To the Jihadists a historical reminder.

A quote from Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto upon learning that the aircraft carriers were not destroyed at Pearl Harbor:

"All I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

The battle is now joined. The giant is awakening. His resolve will be fearless.

Mystical,

Yamamoto's rueful reflection defined the struggle then, and does so now. The Islamic Republic of Iran and global jihadists have yet to confront, but surely will, the full measure of that terrible resolve.
