New Jersey Imam is member of Hamas

What has he been preaching to those among whom he is "popular"? What effect has that preaching had on those people? What are they doing? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

"Muslim cleric fighting deportation linked to terror group," from AP (thanks to Marked Manner):

NEWARK (AP) -- When he faces an immigration judge in two weeks, a popular Muslim cleric fighting deportation may have to counter claims that he confessed to being a member of a terrorist group.

According to Israeli military authorities, Imam Mohammad Qatanani admitted being a member of the militant Hamas organization during interrogation in 1993 in Israel.

"Imam Mohammed Katanani was convicted based on his own admission on charges of belonging to an unauthorized association and providing services to an unauthorized association, for being a member of Hamas and acting on its behalf," the Israeli army said in a statement faxed to The Associated Press.

The U.S. State Department includes Hamas on its list of "designated foreign terrorist organizations." Anyone identified as a member or a supporter of an organization on the list can be refused entry to the U.S., according to Lucille Cirillo, spokeswoman for U.S. Customs and Border Patrol....

What about Hamas supporters who are already here?

These past few days, I've begun to explore an alternative explanation for such lunacy. It has an unfortunate consistency with conditions such as the one Mr. Spencer describes above.

I can hear it now:

-Hamas is a resistance group.
-Hamas runs children's charities.
-Being a member of Hamas doesn't mean you espouse violence.

If those don't work:

-The US believes in rehabilitation. He confessed to membership in Hamas over fifteen years ago. He has reformed since then.

Last gasp:

-Menachem Begin, Golda Meir and many other Israeli leaders were former terrorists.
-For that matter, so were many of America's founding fathers. What's the big deal?

So what's he doing in New Jersey?

It's good to know our immigration authorities are looking out for us.

He will claim torture...
No one is better at torturing confessions out of people than than the sons of apes and pigs.
Oh how Qatanani must have suffered. He can show you scars. That is probably how he will counter the claims...He told them what they wanted to hear to stop the pain...the judge, jury will probably buy into it as torture has been demonized by the left.

We need to designate the Ummah as a terrorist organization. That's what it is.

Posted by: Stendec [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 26, 2008 11:56 AM

Note how the article states he supplied Arabic translators to the FBI.

Great.

But, are we surprised? Unfortunately, no.

That's too easy. We never act logically. We like simplicity but this one is just too simple (and too right!) for our taste. It might eliminate the need for so many diplomats. What would they do without their government paycheck? How would they make a living? Washington, DC is an expensive place to live. Mercy!

Read Steven Emerson's "Jihad in America": Hamas has spread throughout the US since the '80s, creating an enormous jihad infrastructure. CAIR, "Palestine Information Center", Holy Land Foundation, IAP and countless other Muslim "civic", "religious", "civil rights" and "humanitarian" groups are Hamas fronts. Hamas has been so successful in infiltrating this country and gaining influence here, that Hezbollah, al-Qaida, Islamic Jihad and other Islamo-Nazi cults poured in, emulating Hamas. But it was Hamas who "blazed the trail" and prepared the ground for the Islamist onslaught into this country, with the aid of our many traitors-in-chief in the White House.

Revelations like these prove that US Govts (local. state and federal) are corrupt. Ofcourse, Americans will pass this off as 'stupid' or 'ill-informed' or 'clueless', but do nothing to get rid of likes of Muhler / Chertoff / Julie Myers. Result, same complaining Americans will get killed, thanks to Muhler / Chertoff / Julie Myers.
Go back to bed zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

“The imam is Irreplacable”, Allah’s choice:

Aref Assaf, president of the American Arab Forum, an advocacy group based in Denville, N.J., said of Imam Qatanani: “If you want to deport him, what sort of person do you want to keep in this country?”

He is the best we can get. Believe Aref Assaf, he wouldn't tell a lie...

The answer is: We don't want to keep a single one of them. As "peaceful"as they are, their teaching and values cannot cohabite with ours.

Please deport the rats and cocraoches as we do not need them. Send them to where they came from and belong to other rats and cocraoches.

Do not worry people… The Imam will be fine. He will not be treated like my poor Coptic Christian friends who were treated worst than cockroaches by the same immigration officials. Immigration authorities in that locale are pro-Muslim and they much rather to go after Christian evangelist asylum seekers--- imprisoning them in a full fledged jail for months to be brayed upon by hardened criminals.

The Imam will not be intercepted by brave immigration officers outside the courthouse while he is escorting a relative for his asylum hearing and he will not be severally beaten for refusing to say where his nephew is--- He will not be charged with assaulting the brave agents just because he screamed he will report them when they put him on his face, cuffed him and started to beat him unconscious.

Of course, none of harsh and inhumane measures at the disposal of the tall, wide shouldered, square-jawed and selectively bigoted federal idiots will be ever tried on the Imam... After all, he is no poor Coptic or Assyrian or Sudanese or even Afghani Christian seeking asylum here. He is an Imam-- He has the ACLU, CAIR… and an alphabet soup of likely minded groups, the media and judiciary watching out for him. God bless America, a land where peaceful persecuted Christians get dumped upon and terrorists enjoy the full measure of its PC treatment….blah, blah, blah!!!

Lebanese:

This, of course, would depend on what the Feds consider "rats and cockroaches.” We may agree on who deserve that particular designation, but for the Feds, it seems, it defines the Copts, Sudanese, Pakistani and other dark third world Christians. I guess the Lebanese Christians are immune from all of that jazz thanks to their fair complication, European features and linguistic abilities.

By the way, you guys must do something about all these gorgeous Maronite beauties marrying rich and sometimes not so rich Muslims. It is not just the pop stars and models.
I guess modern Lebanese women seem to forget how hard did the medieval Christian Lebanese warriors fight to keep their grandmothers out of the White slave market and the harem. (Recall the finding of the mommies of the Lebanese families that fled to caves to escape the Mamalukes)… Or the civil war Jihad to eradicate the Christians atrocities and rapes. How could Lebanese Christian women act like the clueless women in the West? For Coptic women, it is not a voluntary association and the community is helpless to do something about it. But, at least, we care!

Really, it is a wonder that there are enough Lebanese Christian women for the Maronite people to survive. At least, the Lebanese guys in the Diaspora have a much better taste in spouses, marrying gorgeous American, Latina and European women to the benefit of all mankind as the girls born out of such unions grow up to be some of the loveliest women on the plant.

Cheers.
