Of course, Islamic Jihad and Hamas portray every jihad attack against Israel as a response to Israeli aggression. So to say this is to say that they will continue to attack Israel even during a truce, and Israel cannot legitimately defend itself -- which is how the jihad groups behave now in any case.

Islamic Jihad says any possible truce with Israel would not restrict its right to respond to Israeli strikes against Palestinians.Abu Emad al-Rifaie, a senior member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said the group told Egyptian mediators that it approved -- with qualifications -- a Hamas proposal for a truce with the Zionist regime that starts in the Gaza Strip.
"This approval is under the condition that in the event of any Israeli aggression against our fighters or people in the West Bank ... we reserve our right to respond to such massacres," he said in Cairo after talks with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman.
Egypt invited 12 Palestinian groups for talks to form a consensus on Hamas' six-month ceasefire proposal last week between Palestinians and the Zionist regime.
Israel has dismissed the truce offer, vowing to continue raids on the Gaza Strip....

For there to be a truce both sides have to cease-fire. If one side starts to attack, then the other side knows the truce is over.
Now somebody explain it to those idiots and their Dhimmis in Europe.

Maybe while Hamas was revising history [by saying that the Holocaust was a plan to get rid of handicapped Jews], they took a look at the dictionary and saw that a few entries just needed a little 'updating'.

Good for them. Hopefully this will lead Israel to re-occupy Gaza and set about taking measures to annex it into Israel proper. Only then will their southern border be secure against continued attacks.

Re-taking Gaza only works for Israel if the current residents Migrate to Egypt or Paradise.
Gaza, the Worlds biggest Prison set up and run by the Inmates, by their own free will.

Thank God that the Israelis have more brain than the Americans.
When an Arab says Truce .... 2 options
1 he thinks he is loosing and he is going to run away before he is totally finished.
2 he is just resting and regrouping in order to attack again
In this case. I vote for no 2.
