The dance continues. One day, however, it will end, one way or another. "Iran not afraid of nuclear sanctions: Khamenei," from AFP (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):
TEHRAN (AFP) - Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday declared Iran was "not afraid" of sanctions over its contested nuclear programme and would further step up its progress."We are not afraid of Western sanctions," he told thousands of people in a speech in the southern city of Shiraz broadcast by state television.
"The Iranian people, thanks to God, will resist in the face of sanctions and economic blockades and will further intensify their progress."
Iran has been hit by three sets of UN Security Council sanctions over its nuclear programme, mainly targeting its ballistic missile and atomic industries....

He always reminds me of a nasty version of Mussolini as opposed to the obvious one of Hitler.
Admittedly il duce's rhetoric wasn't as poisononous as that of the hunchback of Tehran but the sabre rattling bravado is the same.
I hope that he is just as incompetent and remains firmly in line with the well established modern tradition of Muslim inefficiency.
If a war does ever break our with Iran v west..just how will our boys handle facing children wrapped in c4?

Hey, what's the problem? Iran only wants nukes for peaceful purposes, like launching a ballistic Islamic peace initiative or two toward Tel Aviv, or better still, slipping the nukes to proxies in Lebanon or Gaza, and in this way preserving plausible deniability, "thanks to God."
Not fooled at all, the Israelis would almost certainly reciprocate the gesture, and Tehran and its Terrible Turbanzais would become molten black glass. This counter-action would probably cause private celebrations in Saudi because the boys in Riyadh hate and fear the heretic Shi'ites, even as they publicly cursed the "Zionist Regime" and swore eternal revenge (as usual) against the "apes and pigs" of "Occupied Palestine" for not appreciating the Iranian good faith peace initiatives.
Farfetched? Yes. Unlikely? No.

I am sure that he is not afraid. We have so many enemies within our fences to help Iran.
And, what ever our politicians can be bought and Iran knows that too.

Of course he is not afraid. The Amerika has no intention to stop Iran from making their nukes. If Ameriki where serious, why do they want to build a defence line in Eastern Europe.
Now here is something that puzzles me, 15 years ago a liter of petrol cost $0.25 today the price I pay in Indonesia is $0.40

Can you be more precise? By Western lights you had a steal 15 years ago and grand larceny today. Isn't Indonesia an oil-producer? What is the source of your confusion?

Iran has become such a pain the past few years. They don't do public hangings with the cranes anymore, so Live Leak is more boring. They do all the hangings within the prison walls now. This is a recent change. This is just another reason I'm so displeased with them.
