We have seen this before. Qur'an 4:92 forbids a Muslim to kill another Muslim intentionally, and there have even been demonstrations in various majority-Muslim countries against Al-Qaeda when the jihadists have the temerity to kill other Muslims, knowingly or inadvertently. But glaringly lacking here yet again is any declaration that shedding the blood of non-Muslims is prohibited.
This might smooth things over for awhile between Sunnis and Shia in Iraq, but it does absolutely nothing about the larger global jihad.

WASHINGTON — High-ranking Shiite and Sunni leaders are preparing to issue a religious decree condemning suicide bombings and other forms of violence, according to an Anglican minister who has led efforts to bring the two Muslim sects closer.The draft decree, also called a fatwa, cites Quranic verses and says, "The prophet Mohammed prevents the spilling of blood, Muslim against Muslim, and thus suicide bombings are totally prohibited," said the Rev. Canon Andrew White during a dinner Monday with Pentagon officials. The draft calls on Iraqis "to reject and forsake all violence, forsake all killing and provocation," White said.
"What is new is that this will be a fatwa from Shiite and Sunni," White said in an interview. "It's not going to solve all of our problems, but it's the beginning of the process towards the reduction of violence." [...]
Shiite and Sunni leaders negotiated the fatwa over several months in Cairo and Denmark, White said. Those leaders included representatives of Shiite Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and al-Sadr. [...]

Question: A sunni married a shi`a woman. Is this nikāh valid or not? please issue a fatwa and have it sent as soon as possible. my personal opinion is that such a nikāh is invalid. those who repudiate the necessities of religion are kāfirs. Hence, it is not permissible for a Muslim to marry a kāfir.

Shi`ah fall into three categories:
1. ghāli (ghulāt): they repudiate the necessities of religion. for example:
a) to believe that qur'ān is incomplete.
b) to call it 'book of `uthmān'.
c) elevate sayyiduna `ali karram Allāhu wajhah and other imāms above the prophets salawātAllāhi `alayhim wat taslīm.
d) if these imāms are held to be higher than even ONE prophet.
e) to allege that Allāh `azza wa jall was regretful after issuing a command and hence remorsefully, changed His earlier ruling
f) to allege that Allāh didn't realize the wisdom of a certain ruling (or the lack of it) and when He realized it, He changed the rule.
g) to allege that RasūlAllāh SallAllāhu `alayhi wa sallam practised taqiyyah in the course of his tabligh
those who hold the above and other such statements that amount to disbelief are kāfirs by ijmā`a. all dealings with them are similar to those with apostates. it is in fatāwā DHahīriyyah, fatāwā hindiyyah, Hadiqatun Nadiyyah: [aHkāmuhum aHkām al-murtaddīn] they are to be dealt with as apostates.
nowadays, most of the rafiDis fall into this category. their scholars and commoners, men and woman all of them seem to profess the aforementioned beliefs, except Allāh willing otherwise.
a woman with such beliefs is an apostate. a Muslim cannot marry her, nor a kafir nor an apostate. if a Muslim marries her and has intercourse, it is fornication. and a child born of such a relation is illegal and considered as a bastard.

2. tabarrāyi (sabbiyyah) : they don't profess such egregious beliefs but indulge in abusing the SaHābah.
some people among this group reject the khilāfah of the shaykhayn raDiyAllāhu `anhumā. these people are considered kāfir among the fuqahā as is evident from khulāSah, hindiyyah etc. *BUT* the correct ruling is that of the mutakallimīn and that is they are bid`yis subject to hell and dogs of hell but not kāfirs. to marry a woman who belongs to this group, is valid but is profusely disliked. because it is from the Hadīth 'laa tanākihūhum' / don't marry the people of bid`ah.
it is in SaHīH Hadīth that a man cursed a she-camel. RasūlAllāh SallAllāhu `alayhi wa sallam told them to leave the she-camel since it had become accursed. after this nobody ever touched that she camel (muslim).
it should be noted that a she-camel, is in no way liable to be cursed. it doesn't deserve to be cursed. but a tabarrayi rafiDi who curses the shaykhayn is himself cursed by Allāh. "these are the people who are damned by Allāh, and the damnation of the damners upon them" (2:159)
hence it is not desirable to live with a woman who is accursed (because of her cursing the shaykhayn).

3. tafDīli (tafDīlīyyah): this group revers all the companions; the accept the leadership of all the four Caliphs raDiyAllāhu ta`ālā `anhum; but just elevate the position of `Ali raDiyAllahu `anhu above all others.
these people are nowhere near kufr. however it is bid`ah to do so (consider `Ali higher than others).
to marry such a woman is permitted (without any difference among fuqaha), yet it is disliked. if being with her may influence one's opinion of ahlus-sunnah, the dislikeability would increase to the point of prohibitively disliked (makrūh taHrīmi).
And Allāh sub-Hānahu wa ta`ālā knows best.

I do not feel like saying negative things about other people, instead I want to praise what is praiseworthy.
So I will praise the Jewish woman, who saw her husband murdered before her eyes and then was raped by the pedophile prophet. She did not just take that as being allas fate, or her lot in life, she did what she could do, and poisoned the murderous sob who had done such evil.
She should be mentioned next to Queen Esther, (Haddasah) who helped to preserve a people from annihilation.
Songs and poems should be made in her honor.
She was more honorable then the miserable miscreant who thought he could murder and rape with impunity because the entity that called itself Gabriel had decieved him into doing great evil.
In heaven that wonderful woman is reunited with her family and is honered as the one who scoured the one devoted to doing evil from the face of the earth.
Everyone should remember how in History even the greatest conquerors and most feared can be dealt with even by the weakest and most humbled of all people.

Don't expect this to change a thing. The tribal culture of most Muslim societies - and Iraq is certainly no exception - is that loyalties may change on a dime...and agreements can unravel just as quickly.

Punishment is not incurred by committing whoredom in foreign country. If a Mussulman be guilty of whoredom in a foreign country, or in the territory of the rebels, and afterwards return into a Mussulman state, punishment is not to be meted out on him, on the plea that a man, in embracing the Mussulman faith, binds himself to all the obligations thereof, wherever he may be. The arguments of our doctors on this occasion are twofold; --FIRST, the Prophet has said, "punishment is not to be inflicted in a foreign land" SECONDLY, the design of the institution of punishment is that it may operate as a prevention or warning; now the Mussulman magistrate has no authority in a foreign country, wherefore if punishment were instituted upon a person committing whoredom in a foreign country, yet the institution would be useless; for the use of the institution is that punishment may be executed; and as the magistrate has no authority in a foreign country, the execution is impossible; whence it appears that the commission of whoredom in a foreign country does not occasion punishment there; and if this person should afterwards come from the foreign territory into a Mussulman state, punishment cannot be executed upon him; because as his whoredom did not occasion punishment at the time of its being committed, it will not afterwards occasion.

Anyway, the original point was that Sunni-Shi'a hatred is a highly evolved science, with all kinds of techical terms and legal rulings. It ain't going away, just because the Pentagon wasted a sh_tload of money on it.

I would like to see the bill for these four years of infidel arranged "meetings in various locations" paid for by taxpayers of "The Great Satan"
I am willing to bet that these representatives of Shiite Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and al-Sadr made sure that America paid handsomely for Anglican cleric Rev. Canon Andrew White to arrange all these meetings, and get "very close" to getting the religious leaders to sign on to this fatwa.
And a fat chance of success it has too.

Do you think we could have a few moslems join in on the "non-bombin-us-festivus for the rest of us" for a short Hudna for 2 years?
And if the Hudna is acceptable, to only the Jihadis, could the jihadi moslems restrain themselves from attacking people and words, and include Dhimmi protection from ficticious characters as satired below?

I assume you're addressing your remarks to the world's Islamic societies. If so, it's most appropriate.
No poor people are dieing in my streets like dogs because they don't have the basic necessities of humanity, and it's unlikely that they are dieing in the streets of other American cities for those reasons. In fact, our poor live like princes campared to people in Muslim countries, in addition to enjoying human rights unheard of in Islamic societies.
Don't be to hard on them though for criticising people halfway around the globe who are of a different religion, culture, and socio-economic background. If they criticise their own dysfunctional societies, it could earn them a death sentence.

We 'waste' our time learning about those who have sworn to kill us and destroy our civilization. We 'waste' our time studying the supreme guide to life of people who kill people like dogs in the street and don't grant anyone of other beliefs the basic necessities of humanity. Those who not only criticize the entire non-muslim world, but who actively and fervently try to kill people all around the globe who are of any religion or culture different than their own.
Is it 'criticism' to ensure the future survival of Western civilization, for women to be allowed outside without permission, for young girls to not be raped at age 9 and told it is natural, for homosexuals to have the right to LIVE? If so, then yes, we are the harshest critics of all.

25 years ago, if a bomb exploded in any Arab or Muslim city it made the news. Today, car bombs, suicide bombs and IEDs are a Muslim world reality - thousands of them occur in many Arab/Muslim cities every day. It is like an awakening only in reverse and there is no reversal. From now and until eternity Muslims will continue to kill Muslim and this trend is rising. It is a cheerful day when you see rats killing more rats - Allhu Akbar!

Those homeless who die from the elements in winter do so only because they refuse the hospitality of shelters.
