Hamas again exposes civilians to danger, blames Israel

A few days ago it went out all over the wires: the Israelis had again wantonly murdered Palestinian civilians. AFP headlined its story "Gaza boy, five others killed in Israeli raid" -- most everyone blamed Israel, and the Palestinian jihadists intensified their rocket attacks on Israel in response. But now it has come to light that this family was yet another victim of the Palestinian practice of basing its activities in civilian areas -- precisely so that it can draw retaliatory fire that might hit civilians and then be used for propaganda purposes.

"IDF releases clip clearing itself of blame for Gaza family deaths," from Haaretz (thanks to Ruth King):

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday released a video exonerating itself of responsibility for the deaths of Palestinian woman and her four children in Beit Hanun on Monday, which the clip shows were caused by the detonation of explosives carried by a Gaza militant hit in an Israel Air Force strike.

Israel and Hamas have exchanged accusations since the incident over blame for the civilians' deaths in the northern Gaza Strip town.

The IDF panel investigating the deaths, the target of the IAF strike on Monday was a group of four Palestinian gunmen which had been identified.

IDF Spokesperson's Office said the panel concluded that, "one gunman was targeted and hit from the air. As a result a strong secondary explosion occurred" when ammunition and weaponry he was carrying in a back pack was detonated.

This "secondary" blast was what killed the mother and her four small children, according to the Spokesperson's Office statement, which continued: "The second gunman was targeted and hit as well, causing an even bigger explosion ... Both explosions were significantly stronger than those caused by the IDF attacks against them."

Four militants, armed with weapons, are clearly seen walking near the home in the clip.

The video formed the principal evidence for the panel, which was appointed by GOC Southern Command Major General Yoav Galant.

Army spokeswoman Maj. Avital Leibovitz, said the militants were going out to battle in the middle of residential neighborhood.

An Israeli human rights group had called for a criminal probe, saying the military appeared to have violated international law by firing close to the family's home.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert voiced "deep remorse" for the victims, but said Hamas militants operating in civilian areas had exposed non-combatants to danger and turned them "into an inseparable part of the war."

Indeed.

We mustn't let facts get in the way of criticizing Israel.

Why isn't the act of war that is Palestinians shooting missiles into civilian Israeli neighborhoods receiving as much attention as the casualties from an Israeli air raid?

I've read that few reporters venture into Gaza because of the dangers there, especially kidnapping. If that's the case, events like the above can easily be manipulated by Hamas, since most of the reporting is based on hearsay, by a largely leftist media.
Meanwhile, the Gazans did elect Hamas, so they bear a great share of the responsibility for these mishaps.
Hamas is a real piece of work. Their latest canard is that the Jews rigged the Holocaust to cull the handicapped. Hamas needs to be culled, because they are congenital idiots.

MUslims should know by now that whenever Muslims appear, death follows..one way or the other.

HAMAS swims in a human sea called The Gaza Strip. Surely some day HAMAS will be uprooted and destroyed, and its people's misguided aspirations destroyed along with them.

Hamas are the neighbors from hell - and filthy liars on top of it.

Muslims using human shields? WHo Knew?...and just where are those insipid Americans and others who volunteered to be human shields for Sadaam?

but the western world is wising up to the whining and wimpering Muslims who cry foul when Israel attacks those rocket launchers. It is a shame the Muslims do not place the blame on the Muslims who have caused death from above upon them.

MUsh for brains exists in Islam, Allah truly hates them.

Here are some telling paragraphs from Martha Gellhorn's "The Arabs of Palestine", Atlantic Monthly, 1960 (i.e. four years BEFORE the first, allegedly secular, pan-arabist PLO charter, and seven years before the Six Day War).

See link - I have posted it before but am posting it again, for any newcomers who have recently come on board.

http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/196110/gellhorn

First, here is Gellhorn's summary of the Arab {Muslim} narrative, or Big Lie, which by dint of sheer repetition is now taken for gospel truth by the majority of westerners, not only by governments and journalists, even by sincere and naive Christian Useful Idiots. I have taken the liberty of inserting certain clarifying words and phrases in square brackets.

"ACCORDING to Arab politicians and apologists", Gellhorn wrote, in 1960/61, " this is what happened, this is the authentic view, these are the facts. Doubt is treasonous. There can be only one truth, according to Arab politicians and apologists, and it belongs to them:
- "In 1948, war took place between five [Muslim-dominated] Arab nations of the Middle East and the Jews in Palestine. This war was caused by the United Nations, whose General Assembly resolved to partition Palestine into two states, one for the [majority-Muslim] Palestinian Arabs, the other for the Jews. The Arab nations and the Palestinian Arabs [the Muslim-dominated Arab nations and ‘Palestinian’ Arabs] would not accept this monstrous decision. They were obliged to protect themselves against it, with force.
"The United Nations operated as the tool of the Western Imperialists, notably Great Britain and the United States.
"The United Nations wanted the Jews to proclaim the upstart state of Israel.
"Because of the Western Imperialists, who favored Israel, the Arabs lost the war.
"By massacre, threatening broadcasts, pointed bayonets, and the murderous siege of cities, the Jews drove hundreds of thousands of Arabs out of their homeland.
"For thirteen years, these Arab refugees have languished in misery around the borders of Israel.
"The United Nations (Western branch) bears the blame for these events and must repair the damage. The condition of the refugees is a sore on the conscience of honorable men.
"The Israeli government refuses to welcome back to their homeland the refugees, now swollen to more than a million in number.
"This refusal demonstrates the brutality and dishonesty of Israel, an abnormal nation of aliens who not only forced innocent people into exile but also stole their property.
"There is no solution to this injustice, the greatest the world has ever seen, except to repatriate all Palestinian [Arab Muslim] refugees in Palestine. Palestine is an Arab [Muslim] country, now infamously called Israel.
"Israel has no right to exist, and the Arab [Muslim] nations will not sign peace treaties with it but will, by every means possible, maintain the state of war.”
Gellhorn continues:
"The details of the Arab case vary, depending on the political climate of the moment and the audience. However, the Palestinian refugees [that is, the majority-Muslim ‘Palestinian’ Arab refugees] always remain the invaluable, central theme.
'The case is painted the color of blood in the [Muslim-majority] Arab countries: Revenge and Return.
' For the Western public, tears replace blood; the Arab case rests on the plight of the refugees and is a call to conscience rather than to arms.
[note – different argument to different audiences].
'But no Arab [Muslim] statesman has ever promised final peace with Israel if only the million Palestinian [‘Palestinian’ Arab] refugees may return to their former homes'.

Gellhorn remarks:
"The details of the Arab case vary, depending on the political climate of the moment and the audience.
'However, the Palestinian refugees [‘Palestinian’ Arab refugees] always remain the invaluable, central theme.
'The case is painted the color of blood in the [Muslim-majority] Arab countries: Revenge and Return.
'For the Western public, tears replace blood; the Arab case rests on the plight of the refugees and is a call to conscience rather than to arms. [note – different argument to different audiences].

'But no Arab [Muslim] statesman has ever promised final peace with Israel if only the million Palestinian [‘Palestinian’ Arab] refugees may return to their former homes.'

Note that Gellhorn remarked on a dichotomy in Arab Muslim rhetoric which is similar to that which Ibrahim discusses in his 'The Al Qaeda Reader': a piteous sob story for Western ears; but bloodcurdling incitation to violence and revenge, in-house.

And from her first-hand experience of the Spanish Civil War, the rise of fascism, and the Second World War, she pens this warning:

"The unique misfortune of the Palestinian [Arab] refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war.
"Alarming signs, from Egypt [and now, of course, from Iran!] warn us that the Palestinian [Arab] refugees may develop into more than a justification for cold war against Israel. We ignored Mein Kampf in its day, as the ravings of a lunatic, written for limited home consumption. We ought to have learned never to ignore dictators or their books.

'Egypt's Liberation', by Gamal Abdel Nasser, deserves careful notice. It is short, low-keyed, and tells us once again that a nation has been ordained by fate to lead--this time, to lead the Arab nations, all Africa, all Islam.
[Note: today Persia, Iran, is playing exactly the same game].
'The Palestinian refugees are not mentioned, and today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees."

Apologies for the two repeated paragraphs in the above!

Now: here are the other pertinent sections, for those who don't have time to click the link, and just in case the link becomes inoperative in future:

First, on UNRWA, and Arab 'gratitude'.
"In the course of its parenthood UNRWA has spent about $360 million on the [mostly-Muslim] Arab refugees, this money having been contributed by members of the United Nations, with smaller but loving donations from private charitable organizations as well.
Of the total the United States provided more than $238 million,
Great Britain over $65 million--but spread across the years and in varying amounts, sixty-one states, including Israel and the Holy See, have helped with cash.
The Soviet Union has never paid one cent.
This is a tiny note of malice: Arab refugees often express tender emotions for the Soviet Union, whereas most of the village orators blame the United States and England, or that bogey, "Western Imperialism," for their exile."

Then, on what was taught among some of the 'christian' 'refugees' in Lebanon:
"They are Roman Catholics here, but the young teachers are refugees, not priests. They have to teach the children about Palestine, since most of them have never seen the country and even the oldest cannot remember it. The children are taught hate, the Garden of Eden stolen from them by murderers; their duty is to live for Return and Revenge" (!!!).

Next, what Gellhorn was told in Gaza IN 1960 - does it sound familiar?

QUOTE:
"The Jews are criminals," the camp leader continued in a rising voice. "Murderers! They are the worst criminals in the whole world."
Had he ever heard of Hitler?
He banged his table and said, "Hitler was far better than the Jews!"
"Far better murderer? He killed six million Jews as a start," I observed.
"Oh, that is all exaggerated. He did not. Besides, the Jews bluffed Hitler. They arranged in secret that he should kill a few of them--old ones, weak ones--to make the others emigrate to Palestine."
"Thirty-six thousand of them," said the Secret Service man, proving the point, "came here, before the war, from Central Europe."
"It's amazing," I said. "I have never before heard anywhere that the Jews arranged with Hitler for him to kill them."
"It was a secret!" the camp leader shouted. "The documents have been found. Everyone knows. It was published. The Jews arranged it all with Hitler."
There is a limit to the amount of Mad Hattery one can endure, so I suggested that we visit the camp.
UNQUOTE.

Another observation from Gellhorn, while visiting Jerusalem:
"There is not a war on, not by any terms we know. The object of this non-peace-non-war exercise is to destroy Israel, which remains undestroyed."

Gellhorn, conversing with a dhimmi Arab Christian schoolteacher, inside Israel, asked a question, and received a soul-withering answer:
Q: "If the position were reversed, if the Jews had started the war and lost it, if you had won the war, would you now accept Partition? Would you give up part of the country and allow the 650,000 Jewish residents of Palestine -who had fled from the war--to come back?"
"Certainly not," he said, without an instant's hesitation. "But there would have been no Jewish refugees. They had no place to go. They would all be dead or in the sea."

When she put the same question to a Muslim 'friend' of the same man, also living in Israel:

"But all the refugees should return [he said] and Israel should be partitioned.
'I put the same proposition to him as to his Christian colleague; - if the Arabs had won the war, would they accept Partition?
"No, never, of course not. We would let some few Jews live here as immigrants but not be masters, not in any part of Palestine."

(Note that: 'but not be masters' - he is invoking the dhimmi paradigm).

And here is the bleak conclusion that Gellhorn reached, in 1960, forty-eight years ago, before the PLO, before Hamas, before the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur war. Time has only confirmed her judgement, in spades.

"Arabs [and not only Arabs - other Muslim entities] gorge on hate, they roll in it, they breathe it. Jews top the hate list, but any foreigners are hateful enough. Arabs also hate each other, separately and en masse. Their politicians change the direction of their hate as they would change their shirts. Their press is vulgarly base with hate-filled cartoons; their reporting describes whatever hate is now uppermost and convenient. Their radio is a long scream of hate, a call to hate. They teach their children hate in school. They must love the taste of hate; it is their daily bread. And what good has it done them?'

'THERE is no future in spending UN money to breed hate [BUT THAT IS JUST WHAT HAPPENED! See PA textbooks and sermons, today!].
'There is no future in nagging or bullying Israel to commit suicide by the admission of a fatal locust swarm of enemies. [Do you hear that, 'Quartet'? Condi Rice? Everyone else?]
' There is no future in Nasser's [or, today, Nasrallah's, Haniyeh's, Ahmadinejad's, Assad's] solution, the Holy War [JIHAD.] against Israel; and we had better make this very clear, very quickly.

'Long bleak memories will recall the Sudetendeutsch and Czechoslovakia. In a new setting, Palestinian refugees assume the role of the Sudetendeutsch. Israel becomes Czechoslovakia.
Propaganda prepares the war for liberation of "our brothers."

'Victory over a minor near enemy is planned as the essential first step on a long triumphant road of conquest. A thousand-year Muslim Reich, the African continent ruled by Egypt [or, today, by Persia? – S.] may be a mad dream, but we have experience of mad dreams and mad dreamers.
'We cannot be too careful. The echo of Hitler's voice is heard again in the land, now speaking Arabic". [and, today, Farsi also...].

"Why isn't the act of war that is Palestinians shooting missiles into civilian Israeli neighborhoods receiving as much attention as the casualties from an Israeli air raid?"

The world is a wicked place these days. The bias against Israel is obvious. Fundamental Muslims view the Jews as animals, a non-human entity in which they show no remorse in killing as many of them as possible and do this in the name of Allah. It's a very sad commentary on the world, but it's true.

In time, the fine residents of Gaza will find incentives to migrate to Egypt or Paradise.
