Hizballah: We're proud to be on terrorist list

OsamaOurHerrow.jpg
Terrorist pride

Hizballah takes pride in its murderous work.

"Hezbollah says 'proud' to be on the U.S. terrorist list," from Deutsche Presse Agentur (thanks to Sr. Soph):

The Iranian-backed Lebanon-based guerilla movement Hezbollah said on Friday it prides itself on appearing on the United States' terrorist list.

"The U.S. administration has no right to give statements on nationalism and terrorism when it is making the peoples of the world, including the American people, pay the price for its wars and bloody policies," said a statement by Hezbollah.

Hezbollah's remarks came in response to the report released earlier this week by the U.S. State Department which accused Iran of providing aid to Palestinian "terrorist" groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, "Iraq-based militants," and Taliban fighters in Afghanistan....

The news from Lebanon today is that Walid Jumblatt, the old Druse leader, has demanded that flights from Iran to Lebanon cease, since they are being used to arm Hizballah. He has also called for the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador. In any case, it's probably too late for Lebanon at this point, thanks to Hizbsatan.

The banner is good. Before the eyes focused properly, I thought it said Osama is our HERROIN!
Hero, heroin, they still can't spell!

I hope it's OK that I post this recent D'Souza column, which isn't bad, "Islam, Christianity and Modern Terrorism." The point is that the "Modern Terrorists" are Muslims. End of story. I believe we all agree with that! And, which fits in nicely with this article - "Allah's Party" PROUD to be Terrorists!

According to the Urban Dictionary,

herrow: Hello and/or Greetings in stuffed animal speak. Often used in a higher, soft-toned voice with a questioning inflection. Pronounced: 'hey-row' When Little Lambie answered the phone, "Herrow?", I knew I had reached my old friend's magic castle.

Hmm. Jihadis as stuffed animals. It makes a certain kind of sense. Heads stuffed full of bloody nonsense, like Little Lambies led to slaughter, for love of the Shepherd Osama, and all of them hoping to ascend to the magic castle in the sky, where there will be no more Zionists and Crusaders, and the religion will be all Allah, Allahtime, inshallah!!!

Surely they meant "Osama is our harrow." The analogy is obvious to any farmer.

Posted by: sceptico [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 8:59 AM

Osama 1S their herrow?

Just what IS the meaning of 1S?

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 9:09 AM

sceptico,

Yes, harrow is much more apropo, and even beyond the agricultural application, but whodathunk that at least one Hizballah sign maker is a student of archaic English? What irony!

From Merriam-Webster Online

Main Entry: har·row
Pronunciation: \ˈher-(ˌ)ō, ˈha-(ˌ)rō\
Function: transitive verb
Etymology: Middle English harwen, from Old English hergian
Date: before 12th century
archaic : pillage, plunder

How many different ways do Muslims spell Osama?

Western press started calling him Osama and was corrected by the umma, which pointed out that the proper spelling was with a "U" - Usama.

Now it's back to Osama again.

Who made their banner? Maybe an infidel who wanted to have some fun at their expense? (If only!)

It's getting so it's hard to keep the quotes seperate.

Posted by: AllahSnackbar [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 9:28 AM

PMK,

Just inmagine the hue and cry if the Hizballah sign maker had gotten REALLY clever and written "OBAMA 1S OUR HERROW." Talk about striking terror into the hearts of unbelievers!

Posted by: Lex [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 9:35 AM

Darcy, I just took a look at the article on the D'Souza debate, and agree that he seems more reasonable than usual, but I believe he needs to re-think his last lines: "After all, Bin Laden's death toll (several thousand killed over a dozen years) doesn't come closer to Pol Pot's 2 million killed in the space of three years.

"Besides, Pol Pot was a Little League atheist compared to Mao and Stalin, whose death toll was in the tens of millions. When it comes to mass murder in the modern era, Islamic radicalism simply cannot keep up with atheism."

Actually I think Islamic radicalism is keeping up pretty well; consider the one million or so dead in Nigeria-Biafra, the over one million in Pakistan and Bangladesh, the two million in the Sudan, plus hundreds of thousands each in Iran, Somalis, Eritrea, and Indonesia. The Moslems may not be ready for the play-offs with Mao and Uncle Joe, but they're definitely playing in the big leagues.

Posted by: darcy [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 10:06 AM

ebonystone,

What to make of this self-serving D'Souza comment: "My exchanges with Hitchens were consistently sharp but also mutually respectful, and later Hitchens told me that I am one of the most formidable debaters that he has ever faced."

The world of D'Souza critics needs to know this, I suppose, that Hitchens, that towering intellect of courteous yet withering wit, has (perhaps) met his match in the too humble, "consistently sharp" Dinesh.

I can hardly wait for the transcript...

Posted by: Lex [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 10:12 AM

ebonystone, thanks for reading. I agree Islamic Terrorism is in the Big Leagues. You know there will always be SOMETHING wrong with a D'Souza column! But, in this one, I loved Christiane Amanpour's desperation in her hunt for "Christian Terrorists" equal to Islamic ones. What a crock.

This is wrong in the column, too: Islam is included as an Abrahamic religion. Of course that Islamic propaganda is as false as Mo's revelations.

No Muslims are mentioned in the Bible. There were no Muslims until the early 7th century AD. Islam has ZERO to do with Abraham, who lived over 2 millenia prior to the birth of the Islamic false prophet, Mohammed.

Posted by: darcy [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 10:13 AM

Lex,
If the intent was to strike terror in my heart, it's not working. I keep laughing every time I look at that stupid sign. THESE are the people whose beliefs I am supposed to respect? They're trying to get their message across by printing an English banner and all they do is make a mockery of themselves. They don't even know the language. It's hard to feel threatened.
They've already climbed Mount Everest. There's nowhere else to go. 9/11 was the height of terror for me. (More than terror - it was hurting for the people who were being killed as I listened on the radio. Hurt is something Osama knows nothing about.)
They overplayed their hand with 9/11. Every display like this one just drives home how useless they are as human beings.

Talk about harrow?

Osama is our plunder! (that's what you would take from the old English definition) Hey, if they "pillaged" Osama, they're welcome to him. Osama is not my definition of a prize.
Maybe his head on a platter is, but not Osama.

The other link showed the herrow as a farm instrument. Osama is their instrument? Of what? Terror? When was the last time Osama struck terror in people's hearts? He's a parody now.
Osama and Saladin. Muslim glory (such as it was) is in the past - centuries ago. Too bad no one has a time machine. Hezbollah would be in its element in about the ninth century.

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 3, 2008 10:36 AM

But darcy,

Didn't you know that Adam and Eve were Muslims, as were all of the Jewish prophets, up to and including Jesus? In demonstrable FACT, the world is full of two kinds of people, well, actually three: good Muslims; bad Muslims; Muslims who are confused, or haven't a clue about what it means to be Muslim. The bad Muslims have been variously described as "infidels" or "apostates," relative to the standard of perfect submission to Allah that Mohammad, that mercy for all mankind, provided to the world.

Of course, if you remain obdurate and refuse to submit, after being invited to embrace the true religion, this only proves that Allah has placed a seal on your heart so that you won't believe. That is, Allah the All Merciful wants you to go to hell, so you may as well grab all the gusto while you can, because there ain't no mo afterward!

And they are the people who translated the great works of the Greeks and preserved them? Without whom we would never know the great thoughts and ideas of the Greeks and Romans, too?

I wonder how much of that was messed up by them.

They write Herrow, the way it is prenounced, by people learning to speak an other language, Hero.
Certain dictionaries, have beside the translation, also written the way you should pronounce the word.
Most of the people are illiterate anyway.
You will for sure need something like that if you want to talk Vietnamese. It does not give you a clue at all.
One thing for sure, I am sick an tired of " ISLAM ".
The cruelty is beyond me.

LOL. Right, I've heard that crap. Mohammed created a new religion called "Islam" in the early 7th century AD. Which has *nada* to do with anything that came before. How desperate Mohammedans are to legitimize their fake "religion." Positively pitiful. Beyond pitiful. Their inferiority complex manifests itself into a faux Superiority - just like Hitler.

The paradox is that because they feel so inferior, they have to claim being superior. What a joke.

This isn't any worse than the fractured English one sees on various kinds of signs around the world.
