Here yet again is more evidence of what we have pointed out many times over the years: that there is no reliable way to distinguish between Islamic "extremists" and Islamic "moderates" -- no doubt everyone would have assumed the son of the ambassador was in the latter camp, at least until he started abducting Jews and claiming he had a bomb.
"Polish police say he confessed to hotel hostage taking: Kuwait envoy's son behind Jewish abduction," from Al-Arabiya (thanks to Sr. Soph):
The son of the Kuwaiti ambassador has been charged with briefly abducting three Jewish teenagers at a hotel and claiming he had a bomb, press reports said Tuesday.The 23-year-old son of Ambassador Khaled Al-Shaibani, identified only as Mohammad A., was charged with holding the teenagers against their will, Warsaw police spokesman Anna Kedzierzowska told AP.
Al-Shibani was too intoxicated to undergo questioning on Monday, but he spoke with authorities and confessed on Tuesday morning, police said.
He faces a suspended sentence of 10 months to three years. He will be released pending his court hearing, which has not yet been scheduled.
The Kuwaiti Embassy confirmed the suspect was the ambassador's son, but declined further comment.
Police on Monday stormed the room in the Warsaw Holiday Inn to free the three Brazilian Jews, who were taking part in a Holocaust memorial event.
Al-Shibani had said he had explosives, but none were found in the operation. The hotel was evacuated and searched.

A suspended sentence because, unfortunately, he is probably protected by diplomatic immunity. Maybe Dad will take him home and have him flogged to restore the family "honor".

If he had diplomatic immunity would he even have a conviction? The suspended sentence is probably because of his dad.
This wasn't conspiracy. These people were held. You or I would be charged with a hate crime and who knows what else. This guy with connections walks free. Typical.

Worse than the jihadi Kuwaiti himself, who has been brainwashed from childhood to think of himself as a supremacist Muslim, is the Polish judge who lets this violent attacker back into the general population.
The modus operandi is crystal clear. the jihadist will do it again. It's as predictable as a rabid dog. The judge will have blood on his hands just as if he did it. He should pay the price when this jihadist strikes again and kills. The judge should realize we, the West, are lucky no one died this time and we have a chance to cage this beast. Instead, he is released like he stole candy from the store.
Out with all such judges and EU dhimmi politicians. Without them, jihad would be yesterday's news. With them, we may lose.

Nothing to worry about! I'm sure he is just anti-Zionist, not anti-semetic (making him a non-racist moderate by definition). Besides, we all know that terrorism is caused by poverty, so posting a story that depicts a wealthy, privileged Muslim resorting to terrorist threats just goes to show how Islamophobic jihadwatch really is.

I don't think children of diplomats have diplomatic immunity (I could be wrong). But I'm willing to bet that he ends up back in Kuwait after his release.
But it's probably just a misunderstanding. . . .the Jews probably provoked him in some way, like maybe they looked at him, or possibly didn't step into the street when he tried to pass or some other non-dhimmi conduct. /sarc

Isn't it nice that they can flout their own rules, drinking for example, whenever they like. Doesn't drinking make him an infidel now? Maybe we should hope the islamofacists get wind of who he is and they can mete out justice. Of course, the kidnapping of Jews probably nullifies the offense of drinking.

Of course there are special rules for Arabs in Western Europe. The British government refused to allow a commission of inquiry to proceed when it was clear that it was going to charge Saudi Arabian officials -- including Prince Bandar -- with involvement in a billion-dollar corruption scandal. When the Saudis protested, and made noises about cancelling an arms contract with B.A.E., the inquiry was at an end. More recently, the most important legal authorities in Great Britain have deplored this interference with the rule of law.
In France, a Saudi prince -- apparently he didn't have enough money, but needed still more -- was caught smuggling in, on his private jumbo jet, 66 suitcases filled with cocaine. He has not been charged.
Being a Saudi, or a Kuwaiti, or someone from the Emirates, means you can get away with massive corruption, kidnapping and death threats, drug smuggling. But, on a smaller scale, we know that, don't we? We have had several decades of experience with Saudis in this country, the ones who torture their Indonesian or Thai or other Asian maids, and get away with a slap on the wrist. Or the Saudi "students" who drive their Maseratis at 140 m.p.h, and murder pedestrians or those girls foolish enough to be with them, and get off, again and again, with ludicrous punishments, because the Saudi Embassy man is right there, with his suitcase full of money, ready to buy the best legal talent willing to be bought.

If diplomatic immunity was the reason that the sentence was suspended, then the dad should have his diplomatic credentials pulled, and the whole family deported back to Kuwait.
If that wasn't the reason, then Poland should nail the kid (that is, the 23-year-old) to the wall.
This would be a really great opportunity to make a strong statement to the Islamic world that anti-semitism is not tolerated in the West. But instead, Poland will probably send another message: "We support dhimmitude".

Well, being drunk, Mohammad A. will probably plead temporary insanity, get the minimum sentence and be booted back to Kuwait, but if it's any consolation, the Jewish teenagers can always sue him for wrongful kidnapping. The pain and suffering alone should be worth million$.

Why do I think it?
Because I remember what Shariatmadari, editor of a major Iranian newspaper, wrote in January this year:
"Kayhan Editor Close To Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei: 'America and Its European Supporters Must Know... That the Price of Supporting [Israel] Will Cost Them the Property and Lives of Their Citizens... If the Heads of Some Islamic States Prevent the Muslim Peoples from Attacking the Zionists... They Can Be Toppled,'" MEMRI:
In a January 26 2008 op-ed in the Iranian daily Kayhan, the paper's editor, Hossein Shariatmadari, who is close to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, called on Muslims to unite in a retaliatory attack on American, European, and Israeli "sensitive centers" because of "the war crimes that these countries are committing in the Gaza Strip" and because of their support for Israel.
In his op-ed, Shar'iatmadari stressed that American and European civilians must be harmed in these attacks, so as to make the U.S. and the European countries change their policy towards Israel. He further called for harming Israelis worldwide..
See that? - 'harming Israelis worldwide' (and remember, for such folks, 'Jew' = 'Zionist' = 'Israeli').

NOTE - I read this and thought - KRISTALLNACHT! Shariatmadari's op ed is - among other things - an open call to Muslims all over the world to attack their Jewish neighbours.

I for one am sick to death of a religion, Islam, that thrives on hatred, but I am sicker still of that propensity in human nature to believe that others deserve to die for no other reason than that Islam's hate filled screed, the Qur'an, says that they do.
Are human beings THAT gullible? Well, yes. Why? Because they have not died and come back to life, to know otherwise. For this reason they accept the testimonoy of ANYONE who happens along and claims to be an authority on afterlife realities, and the real beauty is that the claimant doesn't even need to offer proofs. He simply needs to kill anyone who disagrees, like Mohammad did. Ameen?

Mr Spencer flagged the Shariatmadari article (originally found and translated by MEMRI) - I reposted it because I found its instructions to all Muslims to attack all Jews everywhere, with a clear implication that this applied to Muslims and Jews in non-Muslim countries, highly disturbing.
I think that those non-Jewish Infidels posting and reading here, who fall into one or more of these categories: have a Jewish neighbour, friend or relative; have a Jewish colleague or classmate; a Jewish doctor, lawyer, etc.; live near or next to a Jewish synagogue, cemetery, school or other institution (e.g. consulate, business, El Al agency, you name it), or suburb with a large and visible Jewish community, should bear Shariatmadari's inflammatory op ed in mind, and should be ON WATCH - for prowling Mohammedans bent on mischief against Jews.
Especially as we count down to the anniversary of Israel's Independence Day.
